Blah, did something and left my review! Okay, let's try this again (probably shorter this time, though! I'll probably come back and add more later on, but arthritis isn't happy with me typing.)
This part of Ayala's Intercepted by Love is FILLED with drama. Footballer Cade is awaiting the birth of (possibly) his first child (by someone *other* than his girlfriend, Andie) and wondering if he'll get his contract renewed with the Flash. Andie is on cloud nine until learning that her ex husband isn't quite as ex as she'd like, and he's decided that he doesn't want to give her up. Andie hopes to get things all worked out before telling Cade, but the ex, Declan, isn't cooperating. Cade finds out and flips. This novella focuses in on the fight, the possible paternity, the jerk of an "ex" husband, and all the drama that results.
I'm usually a YA/paranormal reader, and this isn't the kind of book I'd normally grab, but I did really enjoy it. Ayala does a good job of making readers feel. Sometimes you want to laugh, and other times you just want to punch a character in the face! It sits very nicely in the romantic drama genre, with little bits of comedy and sex thrown in (it doesn't overpower the story, fyi - definitely not erotica). I'd say the football part to the story was pretty low, too. No games or play by plays or anything like that. I don't understand the sport and I still enjoyed the story.
I give the book 4 stars. It was a fun read, but my 5s tend to be books that I either reread or think I'd reread with just as much enjoyment as the first time. It's hard for me to say that with Intercepted by Love: Part 3, because a lot will depend on how the story concludes. Once loose ends are tied and we're done with the frustrating cliffhangers (I *want* part 4, like now!), I'll know better if I'd return to this. I'm not likely to only read a fraction of the story if I read again; I'll do the whole thing. Anxiously awaiting more Cade and Andie! And getting info after the crazy cliffhangers at the end!
This feels like the perfect storm in how it wildly and surprisingly brought Andie and Cade together and now all we see is its cruel and persistent attempts to pull these two apart. Thankfully, there is more than just a pretty face to this couple otherwise they would have thrown in the towel long before now. They recognize that there is something undeniable and irresistible that they found in the other that they haven’t been able to find in anyone else. Rather than give in and run away from their problems, they continue to weather this out of control hurricane and in the process they are forced to strengthen their defense and strike back just as viciously with their offense. The victors that are still standing after this disaster ends will win the ultimate prize which is unconditional and unquestionable love with an incredible future that is brighter than they ever dared to imagine.
With a new and exciting job that pays well enough to help her parents out and getting a fresh start with Cade, Andie would love to sit back and just enjoy all of this good fortune, but fate is not without a bitter sense of humor. She finds her past has returned with a vengeance and a vendetta to destroy everything she holds most dear. Knowing the messy and painful results of lying out of fear, she works up the courage to tell Cade the harsh truth of the life-altering shock that is tearing down her dreams one breath at a time. Cade’s life is finally settling down as he anticipates the birth of his son. He has Andie back in his life, and he couldn’t be happier. Knowing that she intends to help and love his son, and seeing how well he is performing at training, he is walking in the clouds. Just as he gets comfortable, he is also blindsided with a surprise that tilts his world on its axis. Can Andie and Cade find the courage and strength they need to get through this together, or will one or both of them fold under the pressure and be forced to leave the game prematurely?
I can’t say how much I have enjoyed watching Andie and Cade grow as individuals and as a couple. They have a lot to work on and figure out, but they find out that the amount of time, patience, and love they invest in themselves and each other will be returned back to them ten time times greater making it so worth it in the end. Nothing seems to be easy for them, but truthfully nothing that is worth anything in life is ever easy to earn or work towards. That just makes the reward that much sweeter when they finally find it and keep it. I know for me it’s been so hard to watch these two wonderful characters struggle so much, and I know their troubles aren’t over yet. In fact, they are just heating up to a fast boil. Now, we will see if what they have already invested in each is going to pay off by standing with each other to the end no matter what or if they will instead choose to give up and walk away. I really hope they choose to be strong and hold each other up because this story ending with them together will be so very sweet and utterly fulfilling after this horrendous ride they have been forced to endure.
While it may sound like I keep repeating myself when I sing my praises for Rachelle Ayala’s masterpieces, but it’s only because it is the pure and honest truth. I continue to be astounded by the depth of creativity and heart that she pours into each of her stories. There is no pretense, it is just her offering up a piece of herself to all of us, and I am eager to accept it, savor it, and treasure it forever. The fresh and original approach to each of her stories just blows my mind. Nothing is stale with her storylines or her characters. They both jump off the pages and forever embed themselves into my heart. I will never get tired of the soul and honesty that I see hidden inside each book. It deeply touches me like nothing else can. Whatever you do, you have to read at least one of Rachelle’s beautifully captivating and thoroughly entertaining stories! You will never look at stories the same ever again.
Fall in-love with this football superstar in the captivating story of betrayal, forgiveness and heart thumping Intercepted By Love series. This is my favorite so far among the series. It is full of emotions that it took me awhile to finish reading the book.
This book will make you fall in-love with Cade more as he steps up to be a good father whom he did not experienced growing up. Andie is trying to free from her ex-husband and is playing games with her. Ms. Clare is such an amazing author. She will keep your toes curl with her twist. I cannot wait for book 4 where Cade and Andie will enjoy their relationship without hassles and enjoy being in-love.
I love football and romance. If you are a fan of football, then this series is a must read for you. You might prepare a tissue just in case.
Rachelle Ayala has done it again. Proving once more she can take you on a roller coaster while you sit still. This story is developing so nicely I'm saddened to know there is only one installment left after this.
This part has Andie and Cade looking further into just what they each expect in a relationship and from themselves. It also has them pushing their own acceptance as to what they are okay with in the relationship.
The plot and characters are only becoming more engrossing as the story pushes forth. Again there was no odd time gap between parts so it is easy to follow from part to part. Looking forward to seeing just how everything plays out for Cade and Andie in the final installment.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**
I received this book in exchange for my honest review. This is Part 3 in the Cade and Andie story. It is better than Part 2. Cade acts more mature than he has been acting in the previous books. There is angst and people trying to pull Cade and Andie apart still. It is a good fast read that makes me want to know what is going to happen to this couple in the next book. This book ends in a cliffhanger.
Another great part to the series. I am loving it. Andie & Cade's story gets better & better. There is so much drama and twists. Will they ever get together and have a HEA all will all the lies tear them apart for good. They both try protect each other but that is what makes the relationship such a mess. Can't wait for the next one. I was lucky enough to get to read ARC copy. Keep them coming Rachelle.
Cade and Andie are still trying to make a relationship between the two of them work but their are so many people trying to drive them apart. Cade is becoming much more mature in this book as he is coming to terms with being a father.
Andie is trying to figure out what to do as she is torn between Cade and Declan and doing what is right.
This book leaves you with another incredible cliffhanger that leaves you desperately wanting book 4!!
This series didn't just intercept, it stole my heart! Rachelle Ayala struck gold with Cade and Andie!!! What is up with Ronaldo? (That guy needs to get a girl) With every great story there are characters you can't help but love to hate, it was like hitting the jackpot to find two such characters, Roxanne and Declan... ick. I love where the series is going so far.
This is another great installment of Andie and Cade’s story. The conflict, humor, love, and bonding all rolled into one make this a great read! I am eagerly anticipating the next installment of this book! Well done, Rachelle Ayala!
These cliffhangers are killing me! Intercepted by Love: Part Three: The Quarterback's Heart, Book 3 by Rachelle Ayala, narrated by Chris Abell, has me anxiously wondering what happens next! Good thing Author Rachelle Ayala and Narrator Chris Abell have made it a priority to release the next in series audiobook fairly quick so their fans do not have to wait long at all to continue with Andie and Cade's story. Whew!
Book 3 in this series adds more complications to an already bumpy road. However, Andie and Cade have a way of battling through the storm and holding on to the love they share for one another. I feel like we have seen Cade grow more into a man over time, and Book 3 is where this transition is most evident. I like that Cade's mother and Decklan (Andie's ex) are involved in the story now, too, because it helps readers/listeners get a better understanding of who Cade and Andie are as individuals and how they got to where they are today. This is a really good series, and even though I casually complain about each book ending in a cliffhanger, it gives me something to look forward to and keeps me excited for the next in series. :-)
Chris Abell's performance is, again, fantastic! I think he is the perfect choice for this series. In my other reviews I've gone into more detail about his narration skills, if you would like to know more. Overall, he does a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life, and I can't imagine anyone taking his place. I plan to listen to the next in series asap, and I am very happy to see that he is the narrator!
Overall, Rachelle Ayala's Intercepted by Love: Part Three: The Quarterback's Heart, Book 3 is both entertaining and engaging. I highly recommend it to fans of steamy romance and shorter reads/listens. Make sure to start with Book 1 so that you do not spoil any of the storyline for yourself. I'm confident you will enjoy this series as much as I have so far...cliffhangers and all!
Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)
This is book 3 in the Intercepted by Love Series, it can't be read as a standalone and this review may contain spoilers! It's a great romance series and I'd recommend picking it up. This book is a steamy read that ends on a small cliffhanger.
Andie and Cade are both reeling from the events of the last book. Cade is desperate to make sure his unborn child is safe, and Andie receives a blast from the past that she didn't expect. She's facing scandal and embarrassment from all sides. This new development throws a wrench into their newly found happiness, and threatens to tear them apart.
You have to love this couple, no matter what they go through they find their way back to each other. They're still learning to communicate, and they have so much emotional baggage from Cade's childhood abandonment and Andie's failure with her first marriage. But through it all, their first thought is for the other. It's lovely to read. Watching Cade's relationship with his mother is interesting and I hope to get to see her more in the next book.
Chris Abell continues to rock the narration, he has the perfect voice for Cade. He also lightens his voice for the female characters in a convincing way. I received a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
Talk about a cliffhanger! When listening to this part of the series, I was thinking, there will be a few questions answered, a few issues worked through and wrapped up...boy was I wrong! While Cade and Andie are working through their problems, it seems like more pop up! And I am trying to figure out how these new ones are going to effect them in the future! Shock value is always good, and I love that this story continues to entertain and surprise me. Rachelle Ayala has a way of giving a good, easy listen with the surprises, suspense and romance to keep me wanting more! Curious to see where Declan will play out, he's the character I least like so far, and Roxanne isn't far behind..definitely a conniving woman taking advantage of poor Cade. I cannot wait to see where baby Brett will end up, you just want to squeeze that little cherub!
Chris Abell continues to give an amazing performance. I love having him continue the series, he is these characters to me and his voice is so warm, it's easy on my ears.
Have it in audio This is part 3 of the series and picks up where part 2 left off . Again the author took a great series and just continues on the story. Rachelle mind is always working. The narrator Chris has a clear voice and you know the different characters by the tone ,
Cade and Andie finally found a happy ever after or so you think. Andie is working so she helps with the family financial obligations. Cade is finally where he wants to be in life !!! With the woman he loves and treasure, but with another part of himself, his son. He’s finally at a place in his career where he wants to be Cade sees himself growing old with Andie and having his son with them. Nothing is going to stop the two of them. There is one problem though. Andie past has come to haunt her , another big problem is she didn’t tell Cade. Will she tell Cade , how will he take it. Grab it and see
This story is about the dangers of Hollywood and how they can damage your life. Andie is dealing with jealousy of Cade's baby mom, her boss, her supposedly ex-husband & getting him to sign two year old divorce papers. Cade is at a loss with the discovery that Andie is married, and that her divorce papers got lost in the mail. His baby is being born and the earth shattering news he receives. Andie can't take anymore of Hollywood and panics when reporters mob her car. This story is really action-packed, but it only the prelude to what is about to happen. (Cliffhanger #3). There is nothing charming about what is happening in this story, and the overwhelming ugliness of Hollywood is truly revealed.
Andie and Cade have a lot to deal with in their pasts. This part had to be the most drama filled one. I could not guess which way their relationship would go. Andie has to be so strong both for herself and her family in this part, it made me hurt for her. Cade had trouble on the team and with a teammate. He begins to doubt everything. It felt as if the world Andie and Cade built was crumbling. Will they stay together through the storm? You have to read it to find out! This series keeps getting better.
Once again Chris Abell narrates this story perfectly. I love listening to his narrations. He has kept this series consistent and flowing smoothly. Chris brings these stories to life. I cannot wait till the next listen!
Intercepted by Love: Part Three: A Football Romance (The Quarterback's Heart) by Rachelle Ayala In a world full of opportunists, Cade and Andie are struggling to find their footing. Between phantom divorces, scheming ex husbands and scandalous one night stands, their new relationship is really taking a beating. Will they survive the heat? Ms. Ayala writes true to life stories sprinkled in humor, yet grounded by heart. Intercepted by Love Book 3 is no exception. Chris Abell uses her beautifully written words to deliver a bit of humor, a lot of heart and a little hope to all who listen.
Oh, boy, this story is starting to sound like a soap opera. Those that you deny watching, but are so hooked on that no one can keep you away from finding out what’s happening next !!! When Cade’s and Andi’s romance seems to be stabilizing, things get out of control. Secrets are revealed, assumptions are proven wrong, and no seems to be getting their peace and happiness anytime soon. Will a scandal destroy their love, will a future for both be in jeopardy, and will their integrity being put on the line be thrown out the window? Hopefully we’ll get some resolutions in part four of Cade’s and Andi’s story. Once again, the narrator did a very good job with the voices and intonations.
Part three of the story with Cade and Andie continues. They each have problems to deal with from their past. Andie is still trying to legally get out of her marriage and Cade is waiting for his son to be born. The baby appears to be his, but appearances can be deceiving. Is the baby his? Will these two lovebirds ever get the messes in their lives cleared up so that they can really be together? We'll see what Part 4 brings!
Audiobook: I was entertained by "The Quarterback's Heart". The situation between Andie and Cade has become very complicated due to actions from their individual pasts. The world of making movies added a touch of surrealism to the story. There were some steamy descriptions in this short novella. Chris Abell's narration was entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review which reflected my opinions.
This is book three and you must read these in order. This one picks up with Andi dealing with her past, Caden dealing with his and the two of them trying to work things out once again after Andi's bombshell. Then there is another twist and someone is trying to get Caden knocked off the team, This cliffhanger came out of the blue and oh man was I left in shock. I cannot wait for book four!
The situation become more dire, with the machinations behind the scenes becoming clear, Cade is put in a tight spot that even his quarterbacking skills can’t get him out of.
Can it get much worse? Considering this is the half-way point in the serial, I’d say yes. And entertainingly so!
Audiobook version: This series... I can't stop yelling at it. Please oh please - just get your "stuff" together. Cade and Andie are constantly sabotaging their relationship whether they know it or not. Every time they move forward, something else makes them take two steps back. I'm rooting for them but oh man, it is painful to watch!
Part 3 picks up right were part 2 left off. Many questions are answered but as soon as 1 gets answered, 4 more come up! Be sure you read this when you have time to continue right into book 4 otherwise you will be left antsy and itching to know what happens next!
The narration was yet again great! Chris Abell did a superb job!
Intercepted by Love, Part Three is the third book in The Quarterback's Heart Series by Rachelle Ayala. Cade and Andi both have pasts that come walking back into their lives. Things are not going as Andi and Cade had thought they would. I loved this book and cant wait to read more of this series.
This review is from: Intercepted by Love: Part Three: A Football Romance (A Quarterback's Heart Book 3) (Kindle Edition) If you love twists and turns to your stories, then this is the book for you!! Rachelle keeps us guessing as to what is going to happen next and what secrets will be revealed. I highly recommend this book!! I love a great romance book, but when a mystery unfolds, that makes it so much better. I can't wait to read book 4 to get some answers to all my questions. Is Cade the father of Bret? Will Andie and Declan ever divorce? Will Cade continue to play for the LA Flash?
Surprise, surprise not only does Cade have his past haunting him, now Andie had her past slam right into hers. Andie who came to California to try out her luck with a job opportunity which she needs to help out her dad now has to deal with the unfortunate dealings of what she thought was her ex-husband but is still her husband because the divorce papers never got filed!! It seems that everything is set on keeping Andie and Cade apart. Is their love strong enough to deal with Cade's pending parenthood and Andie still married to someone other than Cade?
