I LOVED IT! Leo and Chiara reminded me of Apollo and Rayna from Savage Empire.
Leo with the arrogance, confidence, ruthlessness, and compassion when needed, while Chiara and Rayna are both dumb bishes, and i say that with love and frustration!
The "i take no bullsh!t lying down" energy was there until Chiara messed it up, and God, i love her, but she drove me to the wall with her bad decisions! The way I was spewing profanities during those scenes! I mean, what happened to TALKING TO YOUR MAN, ESPECIALLY when he's the one the whole city bends to!!... Exhales!Inhales!...I needed that out!
That aside, this book SERVED!! It started with just the right amount tension, and I was flowing with excitement from chapter to chapter. Everything was good, the emotional balance and connection were beautiful, the romance,THE FAMILY DRAMA I LOVED IT!
My highlight was Leo and his personality; i was obsessed. The spice? Girl, you had us all on the edge of our seats with the teasing🥵
The ending was perfection. Devoured this read!And the teasing for the next book has me bleeding already because I'm hoping and praying IT'S NOT WHAT I THINK IT IS. I wouldn't survive that!😭

Quinn builds up the story around her father selling her due to a lie built to ruin her reputation. Leonardo is called ‘The Serpent’ and we learn the reason why within the pages. He is cold, dark and controlling from the start but as we come to expect tall, muscular and tattooed 🤭 Meanwhile, Chiara being the eldest sibling has taken the brunt of her fathers ire, she is however, not a female who will just lie down and take everything thrown at her, she is shrewd, calculating and feisty. Forced to leave her home to live with Leo, until her marriage she finds herself irritated by him constantly but also a fire within her she can’t extinguish no matter how he treats her.

Explosive chemistry is the driving force of this dark romance. The characters, Chiara and Leo, captivate you from the very first chapters with their "she gets angry, he laughs" dynamic.
The book moves at a fast and addictive pace, as the author manages to make the story flow naturally without overwhelming the reader, resulting in a quick finish.
Leo Moretti is a total antihero: possessive, silent, and lethal, generating a captivating obsession from the first moment he sees Chiara.
Chiara, for her part, is a resilient character in almost every sense. Although Leo is highly attractive (from his physique to his words), she manages to resist the rapid development of a crush, though it's not inevitable.
Fighting and fighting to never give in to anyone are qualities I absolutely loved.
In short, if you're looking for a dark, possessive, obsessive protagonist, the kind who would destroy the world for the one he loves... Leo Moretti is definitely for you! ✨
That said, there isn't much family drama or dark mafia stuff, nor any unexpected twists, but the story definitely holds its own perfectly without relying too heavily on these elements. And personally, it's a book that definitely gets you out of a reading slump because it's so easy and quick to connect with the characters.
Excellent debut from the author, and I eagerly await reading more of her books. 🥰

This is the first ever book from quinn noir and she won me over to say the least

We love sassy men and sassiest women
And everything else cause she ate and left no crumbs
Ohhh she knows what she's doing

You got marriage arranged by mmc
You got obsessed and possessive mmc
You got gilded cage
And everything that you need in a comfort read
I love how chiara doesn't even know how much power she holds over him
And keeps testing his patience
I'm amazed how the brain of authors work cause I might just be a fan girl
But I can't imagine writting these mens
The effort the time and the creativity that goes into making these fictional men seems so real sometimes I wonder if they have a real life inspiration to even write so good idk anything anymore all I know is I'm looking forward to reading more of quinns work

I’ve had a bangin’ month of Dark Mafia Romance reads! Quinn Noir’s The Serpent’s Bride needs to be on every Mafia Romance Lover’s radar, if not on their TBR right away—especially if you love a possessive, obsessive, anti-hero MMC with a br33ding k!nk.
I loved that Leo knew exactly what he was doing when he got a hold of Chiara. Though his reputation is quite ruthless, he has a soft spot for Chiara, especially when he finds out everything she and her siblings have gone through with her father.
Leo took his time with Chiara—the spice scenes are so good! The HEA is wonderful! And I’m pleased to see that The Serpent’s Bride is Book 1 of the Villain’s and Brides Series. I’m excited to jump to Book 2.

The Serpent’s Bride was such a dark, twisted, addictive read! The arranged marriage, mafia atmosphere, revenge, and enemies-to-lovers tension had me hooked from the beginning. Nadi is a strong, determined heroine with an agenda of her own, while Raziel is the ruthless, dangerous kind of hero you can’t help being drawn to.
I loved the cat-and-mouse dynamic between them and all the secrets, betrayal, danger, and chemistry along the way. The supernatural vampire and fae elements added something fresh to the mafia-romance setup, and the twists kept me guessing. The ending definitely left me wanting more!
If you enjoy dark romance, morally gray characters, arranged marriages, revenge, mafia vibes, and plenty of tension, this is definitely one to pick up. A fast-paced, addictive read that kept me turning the pages!

So I randomly discovered the second book in this series while scrolling through my IG feed, and it sounded really good. So, for once, I didn’t just start a series in the middle, I went back and read the first book, and I’m actually really happy I did!
I really enjoyed Leo and Chiara. I loved how stubborn and strong Chiara was, but just like Leo, I was also really amused by her struggle between wanting to hate him while also actually wanting him because, well… this is literally just being a girl, lol.
And while Leo was this scary mafia boss, I will always see him as snaky because, as much as I feel like he messed with Chiara about fighting her feelings, he let his own walls down pretty early, too.
My favorite thing about this book was that the spice didn’t overtake the love story, which tends to happen a lot in mafia romances. Writing this review while already have read the second book it’s only crazy because I’m trying not to post spoilers so I just say go ahead and start reading this series so we can yap about it.

I love mafia romance and I really wanted to like this. The storyline is really good and I think it has great potential. But it reads like one of those non human video ads on Pinterest. That want you to go watch the rest of the series on the app you gotta download… you know what I mean? I’d never accuse someone of using tech to write their book with out proof but it’s hard to not see it once I read it. It’s very repetitive. Like you would’ve had half the size of the book if that was fixed. Also names are wrong / changed mid story. Facts are changed. Things are brought up randomly that don’t need to be / don’t match the scenario happening. It’s really disappointing cuz I was very excited to read this

I loved The Serpent's Bride and I seriously could not put this book down. Chiara who put up a fight with Leo hating him but wanting him. Leo being possessive over her a knowing he wanted her when he first saw her and made it happen. I loved the relationship dynamic and seeing it progress from enemies to lovers without them realizing it was happening until it did. With Leo's cold and deadly reputation, ai loved how he softened for her and wanted her more than just a possession.

I loved it! I’m definitely a big big fan of mafia romances and this one was exactly what I wanted. It’s not too fast, the characters are good and that’s really promising for the future books! Chiara and Leo were intense together but I liked them from the beginning. I stayed awake until 2am to read because I couldn’t put the book down. I definitely recommend it!!

Leo Moretti 🐍 is everything I love in a mafia hero—cold, ruthless, feared by everyone, yet fiercely protective when it comes to the woman he loves. 🖤 His reputation as The Serpent had me expecting an emotionless mafia boss, but watching those walls slowly crumble for Chiara was one of my favorite parts of the book. I reviewed the second book in this series first. I fell so in love with the characters, writing, and overall world-building that I had to go back for book one, and then on to book three next. By far one of the best dark mafia romances I have read in years. I absolutely loved it. This is now a favorite author of mine, and it only took two books. After these three, I will be reading everything else I can get my hands on.

I went into this book knowing it's the author's debut book and wow I was not disappointed.
I absolutely devoured this book from start to finish. It completely consumed me in the best possible way, and I could not put it down once I started. The Serpent is the kind of MMC who is dangerous, ruthless, possessive, and completely terrifying to everyone around him — a man who has built his entire life on violence, power, and control. He truly believes he is incapable of love, incapable of softness, and yet the moment she enters his life, everything begins to unravel for him in the most addictive way.
Watching him fall was honestly one of my favorite parts of the story because it happened so intensely and so unexpectedly. He fights it constantly, but despite all his darkness and brutality, he cannot stop himself from protecting what he considers his. His obsession with her becomes all-consuming, and every protective, jealous, possessive moment had me swooning. He may be feared by everyone else, but with her, there are glimpses of vulnerability hidden beneath all that danger, and those moments made his character even more compelling.
What made the romance even better was that the FMC absolutely hates him at first — and honestly, she has every reason to. Their relationship is filled with tension, resentment, emotional conflict, and slow-building trust. She refuses to give in easily, which made every small shift in their relationship feel meaningful. Over time, seeing her begin to understand him, challenge him, and eventually want to protect him too added so much emotional depth to the story. Their dynamic felt raw, messy, passionate, and completely addictive.
One of the things I loved most was the strong sibling relationships throughout the book. The love and loyalty between the siblings added so much heart to the story and balanced out the darker elements perfectly. The Serpent’s relationship with her siblings — especially Sierra — completely melted me. Seeing this feared, dangerous man soften around them, protect them, care for them, and slowly become part of their world made me fall for him even harder. Those moments gave him so much humanity and made the emotional connections in the story feel incredibly genuine.
The atmosphere of the book was also amazing. It had that dark, intense, emotionally charged energy where every interaction feels heavy with meaning. The tension between the characters was incredible, the chemistry was undeniable, and the emotional push-and-pull kept me fully invested the entire time. There were so many moments that had me stressed, swooning, angry, emotional, and completely obsessed all at once.
The only thing that personally bothered me a little was the contrast between the MMC and FMC’s sexual history. In the MMC’s POV, it is mentioned multiple times that he has slept with hundreds of women, while the FMC is a virgin. Normally, that imbalance is something I strongly dislike in romances and would usually be a dealbreaker for me. However, the story itself was so captivating, the characters were so compelling, and the emotional connection between them became so intense that I found myself continuing anyway because I genuinely needed to know what would happen next. Despite that one issue, the chemistry, character development, emotional tension, and possessive romance completely pulled me in.
Overall, this book was dark, emotional, intense, addictive, and full of tension-filled romance that kept me hooked the entire way through. If you love morally grey, dangerously possessive MMCs who would burn the world down for the woman they love, emotional enemies-to-lovers dynamics, strong family bonds, protective instincts, and a romance filled with obsession, loyalty, and vulnerability hidden beneath brutality, then this book is absolutely worth reading.

A great read. Well written with a story line that has a strong beginning and an equally great ending.
It has violence, sex and all the elements you would expect from this genre.
The side characters each play their roles in the story which can and does leave room for books of their own.

Wow, a fantastic Mafia book if there ever was one. Fast paced and so much action.
Chiara captures the attention of a brutal hitman for the five families, Leo and he claims her for himself as revenge.
The friction between Chiara and Leo was a real delight especially as that was what drove them together eventually. I liked the push pull and the deep desire that Leo found for her. A great play in the characters and a real pleasure to enjoy.
So well done. A first by this Author but I believe a new favourite. Can't wait for more!

I seriously can't believe this is the author's debut novel.
I love to read a lot of dark mafia romance, and I'm pretty hard to impress when it comes to both the writing and the plot. But this one completely exceeded my expectations.
I was hooked from the very first chapter and stayed invested until the end. Not once did I feel bored or tempted to skip, which is honestly good for me. The pacing was great, and every chapter kept me wanting to read just one more.
Leo and Chiara had such amazing chemistry. The slow burn was done so well, and the sexual tension between them was insane. Every interaction had me anticipating what would happen next, and the payoff was absolutely worth the wait.
I also loved how the author built Leo's character. She didn't just throw around the nickname "The Serpent" because it sounded cool—there was actually a reason behind it, and I genuinely didn't see it coming. That reveal made me appreciate his character even more.
Even with all the dark themes and violence, nothing felt unnecessary or over the top. Everything had a purpose and fit the story, which made it even more enjoyable to read.
For a debut novel, this was honestly so impressive. The writing didn't feel like it came from a first-time author at all. If this is how she's starting her writing journey, I already know I'll be reading whatever she releases next. I can't wait to see what she comes up with in the future.

📚 THOUGHTS:
I seriously can't believe this is the author's debut novel.
I love to read a lot of dark mafia romance, and I'm pretty hard to impress when it comes to both the writing and the plot. But this one completely exceeded my expectations.
I was hooked from the very first chapter and stayed invested until the end. Not once did I feel bored or tempted to skip, which is honestly good for me. The pacing was great, and every chapter kept me wanting to read just one more.
Leo and Chiara had such amazing chemistry. The slow burn was done so well, and the sexual tension between them was insane. Every interaction had me anticipating what would happen next, and the payoff was absolutely worth the wait.
I also loved how the author built Leo's character. She didn't just throw around the nickname "The Serpent" because it sounded cool—there was actually a reason behind it, and I genuinely didn't see it coming. That reveal made me appreciate his character even more.
Even with all the dark themes and violence, nothing felt unnecessary or over the top. Everything had a purpose and fit the story, which made it even more enjoyable to read.
For a debut novel, this was honestly so impressive. The writing didn't feel like it came from a first-time author at all. If this is how she's starting her writing journey, I already know I'll be reading whatever she releases next. I can't wait to see what she comes up with in the future.

New to Quinn Noir's work I saw it and thought I'd give it a try, and I am so glad I did. It is well written with strong characters and an equally strong story-line that runs from start to finish.
It is dark and dangerous and very spicy. He decided that she was going to be his from the moment he saw her and he wasn't going to let anyone have her but him, he would take her first everything, he will stop at nothing to make sure she becomes his wife however dark he has to be to do it.
She knew her father would sell her off in an arranged marriage she just never thought it would be to him, the most lethal, brutal, cold and arrogant man there is.

I enjoyed this. I was pulled in from the very beginning. I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. Between the danger, drama, and seeing how Chiara and Leo's relationship will evolve you won't put it down till the end.

🔥🔥🔥👌 This author did a fantastic job with this book. Leo and Chiara's story was gut wrenching and also beautiful. I really liked the way Leo dispatches his enemies it was a creative twist that still felt mafia style. Chiara was definitely a twist with her and her siblings seclusion and abuse which is a different take vs the spoiled rich kid side you typically get. For being a newer author I was very impressed with the story as a whole. I loved the characters and the plot. She definitely has my attention and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

This is a fantastic book, it is dark and sultry full of heated feelings and desires. The male character, Leo is dominant, sexy and controlling. Chiara is young and strong willed. The story unfolds at a fast pace, keeping you on your toes. A definite pace turner I did not want to put down. I highly recommend the book and author.
