What a tangled web of Webbers we weave!
OMG, the drama in this story. It's always the ones that are the closest to you are the very one sqeeming and conniving. William Webber finally understood what his philandering did to his wife. She got him good though. It produced the results she wanted. But she also was sqeeming on Hawk her eldest son. She got the results she wanted too. She knew Janita Cooper was the perfect one for him. Hawk was just tired of the Hollywood types that only wanted him for what he could give them. When he met Janita for the first time, He knew they had a connection and that scared him. But when she and her brother saved him, he knew he couldn't let her go. He even knew that she and her brother were a package deal. They were all that was left of their family. Von was glad that his sister now had someone to take care of her.
Mallory can really write a dramatic who done it story. I enjoyed.

This was good romance mystery. Hawthorne aka Hawk and Janita Cooper are two people who "found" each other at the right time. Not really! Hawk's mom thought that Janita would be great mate for her oldest son.
This story starts off as a mystery with the attempt of Hawk's life, his mom's "kidnapping", and the attack on Janita and her brother.
William, Hawk's father is an insensitive, ballsy cheater who had 4 kids outside of his marriage that he brings around his family like it's no big deal and commands his in marriage kids to deal with it and his wife is accepting. This is an interracial marriage that's lasted 40 years and was not accepted when they get together and to some degree not accepted in the Tennessee town but because the family is wealthy, it's tolerated. This man's family has DNA tests done on all his kids in marriage because they didn't look mixed enough but didn't do that same with other children because all their mothers were white. Ridiculous.
Woven into the mystery is the start of a sweet romance between the two main characters. Hawk is ready to settle down and Janita wants a good guy to love her and in turn love and acceptance her brother. Hawk is that guy and he does that. The proposal at the end was heartfelt, comical, and sweet.

Excellent
Another excellent read, this author just keeps knocking it out the park for me. Excellent storytelling with full engaging characters. Ms Monroe delivers, she is like a bottle of fine wine just gets better and better, and like that too shelf wine, you are disappointed when you've had the last glass. I do recommend.

What an interesting story. Not sure why Hawk's mother Reecie, stayed with her cheating husband William, after all the pain he caused. Hawk, Janita, and Von, are family personified. Together they're pure and true. Please read this story to get what's going on. I do want to give away. I'm looking forward to reading Marty's story. That's going to be a bladt💥💥💥💥💥💥

Ok the story for Hawk Webster and Janita Cooper story was suspenseful, entertaining. I did not figure out the plot until it was happening. Hawk we were of Eagle Records and Janita owner of Cooper Security. However it’s not what you think, or the same old story.

Out of this World Great

Loved it!
The story of Hawk and Janita was quite the roller coaster. So many plot twists, but it tied together well in the end. i loved it. I hope we see the Websters again. Maybe Matty will find love or maybe the sister will finally get a decent man. One can only hope!

That's all I can say about the people in this book. It had more twist and turns than a rollercoaster. I really loved Von, Janita and Hawk. All that mess because of lies.

just wasn’t feeling it
