Joint Review for the entire Violet Trilogy

I highly doubt I’d ever be able to express the sheer barrage of emotions I felt while I read this book. Violet Rai has been the most mysterious in the trio of friends. And I also just knew from the start that she’d be my favourite character.

And. She. Is.

With everything that’s revealed in the Lily and Dahlia trilogies about Violet, a few things were made pretty clear: She was secretive on purpose. She was a commitment-phobe. And probably the most important of all: She’d been burnt badly before.

Wild Violet (Book One) basically tracks how Violet was in college. She was a Math major and that shows just how smart she was, if not determined. And as the name suggests, she was fucking wild. The book begins in an excellent place, with Vi in a dance class, and being wooed by a certain Andrés Costas. Now here’s the thing about Andrés. HE SUCKED. And that’s saying something because the chemistry he had with Violet was enough to burn a house down. (Mine, specifically). But gah. I never liked him, somehow. He had this condescending edge to him that I hated, honestly, and I couldn’t look beyond that, so maybe that corrupted my judgement. Nonetheless, Violet got into some serious stuff because of Andrés’ influence and again, I kind of sort of blamed him for it. Unfair, I know, but that was the way I was thinking.

Hidden Violet (Book Two) featured a lot more about Vi and her sketchy past, and was probably my favourite of the lot. Here, Violet turns to Thomas Squires for help and HOLY SHIT THOMAS SQUIRES. He’s always been my favourite man from all the men we’ve seen in the entire series, and with good reason. He’s smart and witty (as a detective I suppose he has to be) but he’s also kind and compassionate. And I think we got to see a lot more of this pair in Hidden Violet but yet, to me it wasn’t enough. I wanted more and more and more of Thomas and Violet because GODDAMN THEY WERE PERFECT TOGETHER.

And the final book of the trilogy was True Violet (Book Three) which true to its name, shows us the true side of Violet Rai. She was independent and strong and fantastic. She partially took over her tyrrant father’s business and she did it quite well, might I add. But she also was brave enough to accept her mistakes and face the consequences of the choices she had made in her life. And I loved that. I loved that she didn’t shy away from anything she did and actually helped Lily and Dahlia as she had all along. The book had so many twists and turns and unexpected everything! And also, we met Samir whom I loved. NOT MORE THAN THOMAS but I by the end of the book, I really, really loved Samir. He was pragmatic and hot and the sexiest CFO I've had the pleasure of reading.

Towards whom Violet’s heart guided her is for you readers to find out but if I may say so, I was really, truly happy for her and as a reader, I was content with her choice. It was meant to be. By the end of the book, I had melted into a pile of mush onto my bedspread :) All in all, I’m sorry to see the story of these three best friends end (I really, really loved them all, GODDAMIT) BUT Vivian Winslow is just truly remarkable in her ability to write and I’m eager to read all her headstrong women and swoon, panty-melting men :)

Ahhhh end of a series is always sad. I've loved this series, and was sucked in to Vi's life and all the trials and tribulations that we're going on, with her, and all the sexy men coming and going.
Vi is a completely gorgeous, and confident young woman. She has had a crazy few years, and one thing she never lacked was determination.

In part 3 of this novella series, Vi has returned to Dubai, to work for her father, and his empire. She didn't want to go work for him, she hated the way everything had to be done, his way. He wanted her to marry some random man, who had good family and background, and Vi ran from that. She is now going to give the job a shot. She is incredibly good the job he has offered her, and she has decided it's time to go try.

Yet when Vi decided to go to Dubai, she was saying goodbye to Thomas. Childhood friend and recent lover. That was really sad, and I was just praying she would change her mind, I was so sure that it would all turn out right for her and Thomas in the end.

Anyway, once back in Dubai, Vi has other distractions on her mind. She is starting to get to grips with the business, and she is good at it. She also has a distraction in the way of one time flame, Sameer. Sexy, hot, and very driven. As much as she wants to keep whatever it is between her and Sameer, just as casual, secret, fun. It is slowly building in to something more.

So without summarising anymore, this final part in Vi's story is a fantastic mix, of secrets, suspense, incredibly hot sex, and Vi finally figuring out what she wants in her big picture.

I really enjoyed this story. It was written amazingly well, like all the rest of this series. I was totally hooked and read it straight through without a break. It was completely unputdownable.

There was one small thing that I was a little disappointed in, I'm not going to mention what it was in this review, as it will be a huge spoiler. But, I had kinda had my hopes set on a certain thread of the story panning out in a particular way, and it didn't, which I was really upset about. BUT, it was done incredibly well, and I can see why it wasn't done the way I wanted it done. It does make sense, just a little sad. If you have read the series so far, you will know what I mean. But it was still a really fantastic story, and it ended Vi's journey perfectly.
It was also nice to see the twins, Lily and Dahlia, before it ended too.

Fantastically good series!!! Sad to see it end!

Life for Violet is looking good, both on the business front and in her love life. So why is someone trying to ruin her? Who is behind this dark plot that could bring Vi, Lily and Dahlia crashing down? While she begins to sizzle as strong leader in the boardroom, her love life is nothing short of a pyrotechnic show. But will she find Mr. Right, the one man who can take her as she is, warts and all? Is asking to have it all too much? Secrets are uncovered and truths are revealed. Is Vi ready for it all?

Vivian Winslow has saved the best for last as she takes us on a twisted journey through all things Violet. True Violet gives Vi some room to run with her gut and show her strength, but will she finally find her own version of an HEA? Don’t expect an easy or predictable answer to that question, because this IS Violet we are talking about!
A hot and sensual series about life, dreams and marching to your own drummer.

What a fantastic conclusion to Violet's story! I loved every word of this novella and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Vi grow and mature so much within it's pages. And dare I say it? I was extremely happy that we get to see Vi settled - or as settled as Vi will allow ;-)

We get a deeper look at "business Vi" this time around and along with that, we are given more about her father, a more in depth look at Rai Industries and we are drawn deeper into Vi's mind.

It wouldn't be Vivian Winslow's work if it didn't include the scortching hot sex scenes that we have grown to love over The Gilded Flower series. And once again, Ms Winslow didn't disappoint!
If you have been following this series, there is absolutely no way you can miss or skip True Violet. You need to know how things wind up for Vi :-)

On a final note I will say this:

Immediately after finishing this story I wanted more. More of the future of all three girls - Lily, Dahlia and Violet. I sure hope we get a novella in the future so we can see how things are for them later on. And I wanted more of Poppy, the twins' mother. Perhaps she will get her own novella? I for one sure hope so!

5 star solid ending to a wonderful series.

*sigh* I'm going to really miss these girls.

In the last installment of the VI and Gilded Flower series, Violet is working for her father in Dubai, alongside the one night stand, thought-she-would-never-see-again, hot CFO Samir.  The same attraction she had for him years ago is still very much there but with Daddy breathing down her neck they don't want to risk getting caught with their paints down.

So she tries to focus on her career but during a company retreat they collide…hard. You know fireworks the whole nine yards that only Vivian's writing can deliver. They try to keep their affair on the DL but with her father breathing down her neck about taking over the company it is nearly impossible.

The more you have to hide, the more you risk being hurt if you're discovered.

Meanwhile her past tries to come back and haunt her yet again.  That's when Thomas emerges into the picture and Vi is left with some touch decisions. Can you let him go for good?  Or is Samir worth staying in Dubai for?

This series has been a wild ride for me.  I feel in love with D, Vi and Lily.   Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to bring a little sizzle into their summer reading list.

I have truly enjoyed The Violet Trilogy. Each of the books I would read within a day. Vivian's books never let me down. She keeps you enthralled throughout her books. Disappointment? Not a chance.

Vi is a strong, one of a kind character. The last book, Hidden Violet, left me longing for more. Would she end up working for her father? You will find out. Vi has only planned for her to leave her previous life in the past. To take care of what has been haunting her.

She is moving forward with her life and now is left with the question: Where do I go from here? Samir had a tiny role earlier in Vi's trilogy. In this book, he is now one of the main characters. I believe you will like him as much as I did. So much more than what meets your eyes.

When it comes to books, you as a reader will try to pick a team (one of the guys). I can't deny he is a team that is on my favorite list.

The end of the book is unexpected. The usual happily ever after with massive amounts of babies did not happen. I like when the story is like life. You move forward one step at a time.

Read the whole series, The Gilded Series. It will help give you more understanding of who Vi is and her BFF's. Absolutely necessary.

I rate the book a 4.6. The Violet Trilogy gets a 4.7. Muy Bueno

4 stars for True Violet by Vivian Winslow. This is the 9th book in The Gilded Flower series, and it is the conclusion of Violet's story.

At the beginning of this book, Violet is in Dubai working at her father's company. Her brother, Azahr, sees her as a threat, and he will stop at nothing to make Violet disappear. When it comes time to name one of his children as the new CEO, it is Violet that he appoints to the new position. Not long after beginning her job at Rai Industries, Violet meets Samir. The two are very attracted to one another, and before long they begin a secret affair. They soon develop really strong feelings for one another, and things get tricky when Violet wants to move to London and run her part of the company there while Samir wants to stay in Dubai. They each must decide if a long distance relationship will work for them.

I really enjoyed reading this entire series! The characters were well developed, and the story line flowed at a perfect pace. if you haven't read this series, you really should one click it now!

Vivian Winslow's "True Violet" is the last book in her Vi Trilogy and the ninth tale in The Gilded Flower series. It's a sexy read, as always. Violet has had her choice in men all her life and now, she just needs to decide which one will be the forever one. I like the ending to Violet's story - she picks the right guy, IMHO. Lots of delicious sex scenes. I wonder what Vivian Winslow will write next? Whatever it is, I'm in!

Great addition to Violet's story as she tries to prove herself to everyone including herself. Well written with great character interactions, this story moves along nicely. I was engaged from the start and could not put this book down. I really enjoyed reading Violet's story and her search for true love.

If you haven’t read at the very least the other Violet books, Wild Violet and Hidden Violet, you’ll want to start there. I’d recommend starting at the beginning of the Gilded Flower series to get a more complete understanding.

Several people from Violet’s past come back in her final story. If you remember at the end of Hidden Violet, she has left Thomas, runaway from her problems, and heads to Dubai to deal with her father. The first half of this book focuses on Vi’s integration into Rai Industries. She has to work closely with Samir as well as try to satisfy her father’s many stipulations. Interestingly enough, while reading I realized as horribly traditional as her father is, Vi is still like him in many ways.

The last half of this story starts to narrow down the series as well as Vi’s plotline. Although I initially thought the subplot surrounding Gustavo was forgotten, it’s not. It becomes fully vested by the end and satisfyingly so.

Being in nine novellas Violet, who is perhaps the least trusting and most tempestuous in the trio of heroines, finally gets her happy ever after. Whoa! Can I just say that who she ends up with is not how I expected it to go? All the way back to Dahlia’s story, I had my hunch of where this would go…and it didn’t. So kudos to the author for throwing me off. Really throughout this entire series, I’ve been wrong plenty of times which is refreshing after you get used to some of the formulas with other authors (which I will point out aren’t any less entertaining).

This has been such an engaging and blistering series. I’m sad it has ended but am unequivocally content with the final wrap up and epilogue. I can’t wait to read future projects by Winslow.

I have been in love with this authors writing since she messaged my blog and asked us to read about Lily !! I have hung on every word and patiently waited for each book to come and then devoured them all in hours !! She has made me blush and cringe more times than any other author and I have loved every second of that !! These 3 girls have had such an amazingly crazy journey it was nice to see a couple things get wrapped up by the end of this book but hmmmmm still some unanswered questions lingering !! What comes next ??

Vi is definitely the most complicated and crazy of the 3. This book shows a massive amount of growth from her and I was shocked that she was able to control herself and allow the emotions to come through and embrace them. I had hoped for and thought her HEA was going to come in a different way but honestly I am so much more excited for this than what I assumed !! Although Vi has despised her time in Dubai there is no doubt that it has helped her and she has accomplished so much in a short span of time. She has righted some wrongs and planned some revenge. I enjoyed her father in this part very much. He went from someone I disliked to me actually wanting for Vi to stay with him and be the CEO of Rai Industries. I also enjoyed the connection Vi made with a certain character I have despised since Lily's story. I am hoping we get more from this person , she has a story or a few to tell !! There has been no shortage of hot wealthy men in these girls lives but Samir is one of my faves !! I love his honesty with his feelings and was thrilled to see someone finally break down those walls. Lots of melt your panties fun going on in this book , the heat was intense , WOW blush worthy and some of the scenes I wanted to take notes on and try out !!!!!!!!!!

Any of the 3 girls series can be read alone but I have to say if you love these fast paced reads with drama , hot sex and cliffhangers these are a must. Lily , Dahlia and Violet are amazing on their own and a force as a team !!

4 stars!!!

I liked this book but at the same time I hated it. I was so disappointed in the outcome. I had my heart set one way and it went POOF in a pile of ash at the end! I normally love the way books end but Missy Vivian threw me the biggest of all curve balls. But looking at it from a writing stand-point it was well done. It definitely provoked my emotions to the point of heartbreak. I can’t say too much more without giving up what happened. Just READ IT!

Vi finally comes to a point in her life that she accepts that her heart can love. What a sweet revelation it is. She takes us on a bumpy ride with Samir, Thomas and even her father. Violet really comes full circle really quickly and it is a pleasure to witness in the pages.

The suspense part of the story makes you say wow. But 4 stars you ask? I was disappointed with the outcome this is just personal for me. I am sure you will be happy. The story was very well written as all of Vivian’s books are. I also thought the ending was a little rushed. I felt I was left guessing too much about some main details. Especially when it came to Thomas and Vi. I would still highly recommend this story, as well as, the entire series.

I am a huge Vivian Winslow fan and love her books. Please pick up the entire Gilded Flower Series and the Triolgies in the series. You will not be disappointed what so ever.

Life is looking up for Violet in many ways. Her love life is smoking hot, her business life is going well and yet someone is out to ruin her. Who is behind the plot to try and bring down Vi, Lily and Dahlia? In the midst of all of this, can she find the one man who can accept her as she is? Vi wants it all and isn’t willing to setting for less, and in this final installment big truths are revealed and the whole story finally comes together.

So, I’ve been waiting a long time for this book – to see what finally all of this has been about! I think Vivian Winslow saved the best for last with this one, because this is one dark and twisty journey that you can’t help but get into. It is not predictable but it’s still hot and intriguing!

Vi as a character went through a ton of growth in this series and I was glad to see her mature and get what she deserves. I also really liked learning more about Vi’s business side and more information about her father. It really opened up a lot about Vi and the way her mind works, which is always interesting!

Not to mention, the sex scenes were totally smokin’! You know I’m always a sucker for hot and steamy scenes between the sheets. This final book in Vi’s story was just a really good mix of suspense, secrets, sex and revelations. If you’ve been following this series you just can’t miss it. 4 stars.

This is where Violet really does emerge as the successful business woman, but also with a steel back bone. We find her in her father’s multimillion pound business facing a foe in the form of her half-brother. She manages to deal with the pressure of being the undesirable sibling and indulges in some hot sex with a stranger.
I enjoyed the developing relationship with her father who has been absent for most of her life. I think they realise they are more alike than they thought.
As all stories go – a night with a stranger can’t always stay like that especially as he turns up to be an important member in the company. Circumstances bring them Samir and Violet together and she goes along with things more for the sake of family respect or so she says. Lots of hot sex follows - Deep down she has real feeling for Samir.
Threads from previous books begin to come together and it is up to Violet to finally sort out old enemies – who disrupted not only her life but also her friends Lily and Dahlia’s lives - for good.
A surprising turn up was the part Lily and Dahlia’s mother Poppy played in having a hand in the mess.
In the end Violet has to decide where her future lies so she has to be brave and take a risk. We leave Samir and Violet planning a future together on the journey to their happy ever after.

While she begins to sizzle as strong leader in the boardroom, her love life is nothing short of a show, but will she find Mr. Right, the one man who can take her as she is?

Is asking to have it all too much?

Secrets are uncovered and truths are revealed.
Is Vi ready for it all?

Once again the Gilded Flower series has delivered. These girls haven't had it easy, but they are so real and deal with their problems in a very human way, which makes them a lot.

The men in Vi's life have been lording every part of her life lately, including her sex life, and she's tired of it. Without being disrespectful (most of the time) she starts taking matters into her own hands. She may be making (some) other people happy, but she's doing it all her way.

After the ending of Hidden Violet, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to happen for her...but then about 15% or so into this book, and I wasn't sure what was right for Vi anymore. At 25%, I was almost in tears. At 44%, I was nervous as h-e-double-hockey-sticks for Vi! At 52%, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, and almost threw my tablet across the room! 59%: I used to hate Vi's dad...but he's really growing on me! The laugh-out-loud moments I've had due to that man's words... :-D 60%: A blast from the past, and one I'd like to punch in the face!

And the end!!! I'm so, SO happy for Violet! I REALLY hope there will be more in this series, because as crazy as it is, I really want to know what else is in store for them all!

Loved this novella!
Vivian has wrapped this up so nice and tidy, and I would still love more.
You get to figure out about all the in’s and out’s of this journey. Vi is one tough cookie, her personality reminds me of Olivia Pope from Scandal. She is such a strong, independent girl who will do whatever to make ‘her’ happy. Love that!
This series will take you through so much, you will be wanting to guess where the next chapter will take you, and what the next book as in store. The suspense will have you reading this book in one setting, and you will be begging for more, or at least that is what I have done.
Vivian never disappoints with her work, and I will always be a forever fan. Her sex scenes are on top, and the words you read will grab your attention. If you haven’t read the other books, I would suggest that. You won’t be disappointed, I can promise you that.

Finally the last one. I really hate to see this series end. I love these 3 girls.. Oh and all the men. ;) True Violet was a complete shocker. I mean really, how could you do this to me Vivian Winslow? I liked Samir but we are talking about Thomas and Andres.. Why oh why?! Everything that played out in this last installment was crazy. I didn't see any of this coming. All shockers. Well played ... well played.. I'm sitting here having a hard time getting my thoughts together. I'm happy for Lily and Dahlia. These girls deserve all the happiness they can get. I can't even put down what I really want to say about Vi and a certain someone because it will give everything away. Ugh.

This series is a must read. Every book is different and definitely worth the read. Each girl with their different personalities and different lives. You can't go wrong.

This is a nerve wrecking conclusion to Vi's story. Never one to do thing easily, Vi adheres to her same old same old...
She finds a smoking hot guy and has incredible sex...oh and she decides to head to Dubai and work for her dad...WHAT THE HELL..what about Thomas...
Oh well, Vi and her brother of course don't see eye to eye. As if they ever could. They were raised much too differently and have completely different point of views. So he's gonna do something about it, or at least try!
I'm not gonna delve too deep, some things you just need to read for yourself...but in saying that, Vi's dad really stepped up. I used to think he was an overbearing ass, I guess everyone can me redeemed...How about that mystery character...
4.5 Stars cuz I loved how it ended!
