This cute colorful book written and illustrated by Jane Smith is not just a sweet friendship story but it also highlights several interesting STEM concepts like observation, formulation of hypothesis, experimentation, and data analysis to generate conclusions.

Space Bot is a curious outer space visitor with a mission: determining if humans are friendly or not. After careful observation and undercover data collection from a group of 3 siblings, he formulates a well founded hypothesis and it's about to draw a conclusion. However, it is then that he's discovered by the children and as he's trying to escape, he ends up having a malfunction that will require a closer contact than the one he originally intended, which will lead him to experience first hand what friendship is all about.

I recommend this book for libraries, schools, and homes.

Beep, boop! Space Bot is on a mission to Earth to gather data and prove his hypothesis: Are humans friendly? An adorable, lovable character, Space Bot explores human nature by observing three siblings as they play, eat, joke, and even disagree. But when it comes time to head home, Space Bot's data is jumbled! Now, it's up to the humans to help – but are they friends or foe? Space Bot: Mission Earth is a fun, read-aloud book with dynamic, action-packed illustrations and a timeless story about what it means to make friends, and be perfectly, imperfect humans.

Space Bot visits Earth to investigate whether or not humans are friendly. It observes three siblings as they go about their daily lives, eating, playing and arguing. When an accident occurs and Space Bot is unable to blast off for home, it can no longer keep itself hidden from the young humans. Will they be friendly? This book contains a great message about friendship, as well as content about data collection and the scientific method.
