Another from the very funny Coco Pinchard series by author Robert Bryndza. Although this book is still entertaining and funny I don’t feel that it is as good as the previous books in the series. Love the writing, great characters and out of this world plots but not the best book in the series.
Following a painful divorce Coco Pinchard has found love with Adam a toy boy added to the success from her writing life couldn’t get any better. That is until just before the wedding Adam disappears and end the relationship without any explanation. Coco wants answers and needs to know what secrets Adam has being hiding from her.
The series generally can be read as standalones and work whatever order you read them in. Good fun books with eccentric characters.

I know many of you are familiar with Bryndza through his Erika Foster series, it’s one of my favorites, so when I saw an opportunity to read a book from his CL series I just had to check it out! I already admire authors so much, but the ones that can write in multiple genres truly amaze me. I have to say, this book was just as great as the EF books but in a completely different way.
Though this book is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone, I had no problem jumping in. I loved the structure of this, each section is separated by the month and then it’s all told through Coco’s emails to her friends and family. Coco is quite the character, she’s dramatic and a little over the top, but she’s also a ton of fun! I just adored her and found myself laughing at her antics and the situations she finds herself in.
If you’re looking for a read to escape into that’s hilarious and charming, try this out! Whatever genre Bryndza writes he’s so talented and I’ll read anything from him. I’m a new fan of this series and can’t wait to catch up now.

Robert Bryndza writes the brilliant crime
Series featuring Detective Erika Foster. Discovering his chick-choc-lit-rom-com line of books was a super surprise. I love a writer who can tackle different genres.
This was my first introduction to Coco but reads fine as a stand-alone. It’s funny, sassy and has some great laugh out loud moments. Coco’s life takes some twists she ain’t thrilled about and the plot is a real feel-good journey. Follow her ups and downs. I think we have the same Mother in Law!
I don’t read much anymore in this genre. Only books that really appeal and don’t have a cafe, bakery or shop in the title or on the cover. I adored Coco. Very relatable character and this one gave me light relief from my reading marathon of heavy crime and horror.
A generous 4 stars from me. A champion of a novel if you love a good laugh and this style of book. A talented, multi-faceted writer. I’m two books behind on his Erika Foster series! Missed them on NetGalley so must catch up.

Cute out the wazoo!!! I absolutely loved this book about the zany people in Coco’s life, and the power of sacrifice and love. My heart is happy from this book! Full review to come this week for the blog tour!!

I was a massive fan of Coco after reading the first book in the series, The Not So Secret Emails of Coco Pinchard and I have to say that I enjoyed this one just as much! This is a fabulous book with plenty of laugh out loud moments.
I think that the way the story is told through Coco's e-mails is brilliant and a really fun and different way to bring her to life. Her supporting cast is fabulous, such different personalities, so well developed and they all work together brilliantly.
Everything about the book worked for me, the idea behind the book was great and the author has a brilliant writing style that suits this genre 100%. It flows so well and I read the book the same day I started it - it was a complete treat!

✨ Sou super fã de thrillers horrendos e terror, mas de vez em quando há que desanuviar. Este livro ( bem como o anterior) é uma lufada de ar fresco. É super super divertido, acompanhar a vida louca da Coco, com os seus amigos, ex-marido, namorado, filho e claro a sogra! A Ethel é uma personagem e tanto. Zero filtros naquela consciência.

Another of my holiday reads and have to say I am a massive fan of coco.
I have to say I really felt for Coco in this book, you can tell how much Adam means to her and she does everything she can to prove he is innocent, even taking the law into her own hands.
This is another fabulous and heart warming read. All the characters are back from the first book with the hilarious Ethel nearly taking Coco's limelight in the book. I think everyone would love a mother in law like Ethel, she's so funny.

Great news... Coco is back!
And if her "Big Fat Tipsy Wedding" is even half as much fun as her "Not So Secret Emails" were, we're in for a treat. This book is at the top of my "To Read" list - and should be at the top of yours, too.

OMG, I love this book so much. Very funny and very touching. I want to live next to Coco and Adam and have a Ethel over for tea :-) Seriously this book is so well written and stunning. My fav.bit when Coco was totally broke and was hosting a drink bash for her friends. :-)

Oh Coco! Coco Coco Coco, what have we gotten ourselves in for this time! We live the highlife with her, all through her emails I might add, where she is on a high from the Edinburgh Festival for Chasing Diana Spencer, writing a new novel, and then her world is turned upside down by Adam.
I still love that the book is told in an email form, and I high life that Chris called her out on the “rambling emails”. We meet some new characters and fall in love with some old ones. For me, Ethel, the ex-mother in law, still steals the show, and Meryl, the ex-sister in law, having to be sectioned was crazy funny!
With Rosencrantz moving in with two guys, Will and Oliver, I think they were perfect and I love how they helped Mrs P in her many many hours of need. Reminded me of such a crazy but happy family aka the A Team.
So the only downside for Coco, was the issues with Adam, everything else was falling in to place, but with this current “crisis”, her world was falling apart. I felt for Coco, she definitely needs a break – Mr Bryndza, looking at you here! But Coco being Coco, she gets on with it, and yes she has a moan and tempted to be naughty with a certain man rocking a hot bod, (but who wouldn’t?!) she still sacrifices herself and happiness for what she believes in, Adam. Even when everyone else didn’t believe in him, she did, she stands by him, without a shadow of a doubt and I loved that.
About 90% of the book it just all kicked off and I was rushing through the pages, needing my happy ending, and phew! When I got to the end I could breathe. It was a riot, and dare I say it, typical Coco!
Everything with Coco is constant and high octane and reading her emails is like a high I do not want to ever come down from She is forever going to be in my heart, and head, always asking myself “What would Coco do in my shoes?” And then do the opposite, I want to lead a quiet life lol
I am going to jump straight into the next book, and please god, aka Mr Bryndza, give her an easier time this time!

I do not read many book in this genre, but when I do, I either end up massively loathing it or adoring it, but in this case—reading “Coco Pinchard’s Big Fat Tipsy Wedding”—I adored it.
Now that I have finished the second novel in the Coco Pinchard series, I can say that I have grown more attached to Bryndza’s set of characters and their personalities, which has made this book even more fun and entertaining to read than the first. Normally I think of “chick-lit” and “romance” novels as a bit more fictional in the fact that they are unlikely and implausible to happen in the real world; however, I do find myself enjoying this series because it is not too far out of the realm of reality, and they have made me laugh out loud numerous times!
I highly recommend these books and easily rate “Coco Pinchard’s Big Fat Tipsy Wedding” 5 stars.

Coco Pinchard has to be one of my favorite book characters. She is British, out there, and manages to get herself in and out all sorts of scrapes. This is the second book in the series and I know most people remember me raving about the first. The characters are SO real…it is like they could just walk off the page. It is a great read that had me laughing at and feeling sorry for Coco all at the same time. In this installment, Coco and Adam are together, Rosencrantz moved out, and Ethel is still her cranky self, hilarious self. When circumstances cause Adam to cut Coco out of his life, Coco goes on many adventures to find herself and find out the reason why. The answer is more shocking then you think. I would love to see Rosencrantz’s story. I love him and his flat mates. All the characters together just breathe life into this book. There is never a dull day with Coco’s clan. I give this book 5 stars!

Well this certainly wasn't anything like a Big Fat Greek Wedding. I was expecting something light and fluffy but got something deeper and darker! Although I was surprised by the plot,I try not to read reviews, I really enjoyed it. All of the outrageous cast of characters return and few more are added. Relationships change and not always for the best. Throughout it all, Coco's faith in Adam remains strong even when many (including myself) were doubting. I totally recommend for those who want to see what happens after the first book.

Another terrific comedy from Coco Pinchard and friends in text form which is easy to read.
Why did Adam end his relationship with Coco so quickly, we all thought they were well suited? What is Adam hiding from Coco? Will the interfering ex Mother In Law still hang around her ex daughter in law and try and get her son Daniel and Coco back together?
This was funny at parts again and you have something spooky going on in Coco's life. I found this book to be part 2 in a hilarious trilogy and can't wait to read more.

I'm so happy to see Coco and Adam have their happy ending. I loved the second book of this series as much as book one and I'm eagerly awaiting the last book to be released.
The characters are likeable and quite real. Coco is fab, I feel like I know her and I've bonded with her. This book made me laugh out loud loads, Ethel and Meryl are both hilarious, in a nightmare kind of way. Coco is hilarious too. I loved it.

At first this seemed like a light, funny chick-lit with broad comedy and not much of a plot, but when Coco's boyfriend is accused of fraud and must go on trial for his future and life, the story gets deeper and more serious. It is a good story about how Coco and other characters must cope with the unexpected and unfair situations that life throws at them.

Coco tells us the story by sending emails to her nearest and dearest. It’s a bit of a twist on the diary form that has been successful for characters like Adrian Mole and Bridget Jones. I liked the email form – Coco wasn’t just talking to herself as with a diary, she was retelling events to her friends.
I love Coco as a character. She cares deeply about those around her and everyone loves her. She’s someone I’d love to have in my life. She’s definitely a memorable character! As I read, I was desperate to know whether Coco get a happy ending? Being dumped out of the blue is heartbreaking especially when Coco thought everything was looking rosy in love and life.
The people Coco has in her life are brilliant. Rosencrantz is devoted to his mum and his new house mates quickly follow suit. Despite them being divorced, Coco and Daniel are still on amicable speaking terms so I got a proper insight into what the ex-in laws are like. Daniel’s family are nuts, totally crackers! Meryl with her royal obsession, Ethel, well just Ethel!
It’s a fabulous read, it kept me company when I was not feeling well. Just the tonic the book doctor would have ordered! It’s just as addictive as Mr Bryndza’s crime fiction, just not as dark and twisted. I’ll be catching up with the rest of Coco’s adventures soon.

In this second book of the series, Coco Pinchard steps well outside her comfort zone. No literary ambitions, no glamour, no creative chaos. This time it is all about Adam, her fiancé, who ends up in prison, and the race against time to prove his innocence before the wedding date arrives.
What surprised me most was the Coco who emerges here. Calmer, more focused, willing to put herself aside for someone she loves. She still has her natural talent for making everything more complicated than it needs to be, but there is a new maturity to her that works really well. This more human, less glamorous version of the character was my favourite thing about this book.
The premise holds up, the pace stays lively and the story entertains from start to finish. It is not the strongest in the series, but it is a light, fun read that keeps you rooting for her.

Li o 1º livro desta nova saga não policial deste escritor e não desgostei, até dei algumas gargalhadas. Este 2º livro já não me prendeu tanto. Sei que a ideia deve ser que a história seja um pouco tonto, com sentido de humor mas desta vez não me prendeu. Venham mais livros do Robert... mas policiais

Coco Pinchard’s Big Fat Tipsy Wedding by Robert Bryndza
Robert Bryndza has done it again with this cracking sequel to his No.1 best seller The Not So Secret E-mails of Coco Pinchard.
Coco’s back and life is good. She’s divorced from cheating ex-husband Daniel; beloved son Rosencrantz is flying the nest to embrace a life of his own, and best of all Coco’s hunky boyfriend Adam is on the brink of moving in. The future looks good.
But when Adam starts acting strange just before he’s due to take up residence it all starts to go down hill rather fast, leaving poor Coco wondering what went wrong.
With all your favourite characters from the first novel, reading this is just like coming home. Coco is still as passionate, caring and scatty as ever, Daniel is still as useless and callous as ever, and Ethel… Ethel is actually worth her weight in gold in this story; in fact, Ethel could actually be my favourite character this time round. And of course, there’s all the rest too: Chris, Marika, Meryl, Tony and Angie, not to mention a couple of new faces we get to meet in the shape of Rosencrantz’s lovely new housemates, oh and Xavier, the dashing barista, who Coco meets while stealing UHT milk for her new pet.
Throw in a nail biting plot with a hint of paranormal activity and what you have are the makings of a brilliant story, which will no doubt be another best seller for Robert Bryndza.
It’s told in the same format as the first book, which is through a series of e-mails from Coco to her family and friends. And I’ll say again, it’s a genius format, as it breaks the book up into bite sized chunks that are incredibly easy to read; it’s just brilliant.
If you haven’t already worked it out, I absolutely loved reading this book, which was over far too quickly for my liking. I’ve read it at every available opportunity: on the bus, cooking dinner and much too late at night when my husband would rather I turned the lights out; I simply could not put it down. It’ll wring every emotion from you as you sail through the pages; it’ll shock you, make you laugh out loud, draw a tear and even have you standing on your seat cheering Coco on as she takes some rather serious matters into her own hands. Top class entertainment from start to finish; comedy fiction at its very best!
I just hope when I read that Robert will be working on a third and final instalment of Coco’s life that wasn’t fiction too.

Coco Pinchard returns in this book; post divorce, in the whirlwind of success following her first book and very much in love with her dishy younger man, Adam. Everything is going swimmingly for Coco (even with her nightmare ex-mother in law Ethel still on the scene). So well in fact, that she decides to ask Adam to move into her rather large London pad with her. Except in true Coco style, it doesn’t all go quite to plan and on the day of the big move, Adam does a disappearing act, leaving Coco confused and at the beginning of a path of drama to find out just what has happened.
Firstly, I have to say I was thrilled when I started listening that the same narrator is used for the second Coco book. I loved her in the first book and loved her still for this one. She does a brilliant job of bringing Coco and the other characters to life and has such a dry tone which is exactly what tickles my funny bone! What I didn’t expect before I started, was that this book would again be in the form of emails sent from Coco to the various people in her life. I just assumed that that was the structure of the first book due to it’s title (The Not So Secret Emails of Coco Pinchard). I wasn’t at all disappointed as I like the way its written and how it sucks me into Coco’s life.
Of course my love for Coco lives on and she’s just as hilarious in this book as she was previously. What I would do to have a friend like Coco purely for entertainment purposes. Imagine awkward situation after even more awkward situation and that’s Coco’s life. I liked that we got to hear more about the friendship between Coco and Marika this time around as it wasn’t until getting into this one that I realised that their relationship is almost skimmed over a little in number one of the series. Their friendship isn’t all wine drinking and giggles which I love. All friendships have their ups and downs.
As cheesy as it sounds I found listening to this book really comforting; almost like catching up with friends I’ve not seen in some time. The characters are so real and relatable in so many ways that it’s like sitting down with the girls and getting all the latest gossip. I have to match this book to it’s predecessor and award it with 4 stars. I miss hearing about all of the characters funny tales already and will be getting hold of the third book in the series as soon as I can.

A very satisfying read.
This is the second book in the Coco Pinchard series. It continues in the unusual style that the first book was in-the story being written entirely through a series of emails which Coco sends to her friends/family etc. I liked this style and it flowed well. The main character is female yet this book was written by a male- I bought these two books a while ago due to their excellent reviews, meaning to read them but I must admit I kept having reservations about if it would feel real enough, but I must admit, as I read, I kept forgetting it was written by a man! I liked that the author included photos of letters sent to Coco which Coco was emailing to her friends, this all added to the realism for me. I found the slightly silly names of some of the characters a bit off-putting but this was a really great read. I enjoyed the first book and I was wondering whether to have a break from this story before continuing with the second part at a later date as I didn't want to get fed up of it and didn't want it to be 'samey'. In the end I chose to get straight on with the second instalment and this book was even better than the first. I thought it might have got too silly and unbelievable but this book wasn't just comedy, there were deeper issues here and ups and downs for the characters. All very well expressed and kept the reader's interest all the time. I wasn't that keen on the new kindle covers for this book-I originally purchased the first Coco book with a cover that had a picture of a mobile phone on (this was much better) and, although you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, I must admit that it is sometimes a book cover that initially gets my interest in a book. The updated cover of the first book , I feel, is nothing to write home about and the second, I feel, doesn't really reflect the story, it gives the wrong impression of what is really a more substantial book than it first appears. I felt that Coco Pinchard's Big Fat Tipsy Wedding concluded the story really well and I am unsure about reading a third instalment. I understand the author is writing another final book in the series but I just hope he hasn't milked it. I will still try it and I would read more from this author.

Segundo livro desta série e gostei muito de voltar a ver a Coco Pinchard, da sua personalidade caótica e também das suas peripécias que vão acontecendo na sua vida e que apesar de desastrosas, tornam- se tão engraçadas!
O autor criou aqui uma personagem que é uma lufada de ar fresco! A Coco é alguém que consegue ter empatia, cuidar e defender aqueles que mais ama, arriscando o seu bem estar, fazendo as coisas sem pensar primeiro e não se importando de no final ser ela a ficar mal, porque para ela o bem estar dos outros está em primeiro lugar. Ela é completamente imperfeita e com uma vida feita de altos e baixos, celebrando as vitórias e nunca deixar de se afetar com as derrotas! E ela sabe quando não está sozinha quando está rodeada de pessoas que fazem parte da sua vida e cada uma tem a sua personalidade e essência, principalmente a sua sogra, a Ethel que apesar da idade, ainda está de boa saúde e com a língua mais afiada do que nunca!
Uma série que estou mesmo a gostar muito de ler e agora estou ansioso para ler o próximo, porque vou querer saber em que peripécias a Coco Pinchard se irá meter e se ela conseguirá encontrar finalmente alguma paz ou se lhe irá aparecer mais problemas que poderão se ser tornar num desafio no qual ela terá que lidar, proporcionando lhe mais aventuras completamente inimagináveis e também aprendizagens. Porque a verdade é que a vida é uma aprendizagem e às vezes é preciso cair para depois levantar para se tornar ainda mais forte.
