Mario Luxxor is a Colombian-born writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Blending bold storytelling with haunting beauty, Mario creates emotionally charged narratives that explore identity, love, and the hidden lives of the night. His debut novel, All Nights Die Young, began as a screenplay and evolved into a cinematic literary experience, earning praise for its raw honesty and lyrical depth.

A passionate advocate for queer voices and immigrant stories, Mario channels his personal journey into every project—often blurring the lines between fiction and lived experience. Through his creative company Voyaeon, he writes, directs, and publishes work that dares to ask deeper questions and refuses to look away.

Review of advance copy received from NetGalley

I did not finish the book. Got to 70% and finally called it quits.

The good: the book started off strong. I loved the setting and the character setup. The unknown man with secrets found in the ocean. I was hooked and wanted to know more.

Then the writing started to get to me. There are too many words to describe every single action. A glance needed to have three different sentences to describe what kind of glance it was and was not. I really liked this at the beginning, but it became redundant after a while.

If you love that kind of writing, this is for you and I highly recommend it.
