Princess Anastasia has grown up in the shadow of her older siblings and foster sister, Queen Christiana of Ravenzario. Ana longs for an identity beyond that of a princess. More than anything she wants someone to see her as more than just a tiara and a pretty face. Two men vie for her attentions but only one believes in her, believes she can make a difference by using her royal status to draw attention to the plight of those less fortunate.

American Jonathan William Langley-Cranston IV has dated both her sister and her soon-to-be sister-in-law, but he and Ana seem to have something extra special. When his brother disappears without a trace, she returns to the States to become the public face of his family.

In Montevaro, Dr. Jonah Fontaine wants to help. And unlike most people, he's willing to roll up his sleeves and get his hands dirty. He spends his vacations going places most people couldn't be paid enough to visit. As much as he wants to, he doesn't understand why Ana and others like her won't put their time and effort where their money is.

When Ana takes Jonah up on his challenge to join him at an orphanage in Ravenzario, they find themselves facing a crisis. A little girl, recently diagnosed with Leukemia, is threatened by rising flood waters after a rare Mediterranean hurricane makes landfall. Jonathan, with the help of Queen Christiana, desperately searches for them, praying rescue won't come too late.

Her head knows which man, Jonah or Jonathan, is the wise choice. Too bad her heart has different ideas. Which one will win? Will Ana be able to convince either one of them of her worth as More than a Princess?

...I'm unsure about this one. I feel like an educated doctor wouldn't be illogical enough to firmly believe public relations is a complete waste of time. Which kind of makes the premise of the book unbelievable for me. Then there was the setting-up-for-more aspects in the story. I feel like half the book didn't have anything to do with Ana and had everything to do with hints about what will come in the next series. Next two series even. It was a little too much for me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all Carol Moncado's books from the very first one. She started out very well and this book is no exception. I decided with the first book that she was an author whose books I wanted to read. Always. I am a huge royal family fan and her royal family series is fantastic!!! Now she's starting on another royal family. LOVE her books!

*I was provided with a copy of this book by the author. I was not pressured to leave a positive review and my opinions are honest and my own.

Great ending to a great series.

I really enjoyed the story of Ana and Jonas. The love that the royal families had for God and their citizens is very inspiring.

Another wonderful story

Princess Ana's story of finding herself. She believes no one takes her seriously. She's just the spare of the spare to the throne. Two men vie for her heart. One who understands her and the physical attraction is present, but her heart doesn't agree that Jonathan is the one. Then there is Jonah, who she loves but he doesn't find value in what she wants to do with her life. She can't be with someone who won't support her, but can she be with someone who she only loves as a friend? This is a great story of her journey and her ultimate decision. Read the book to find out.

I always enjoy Carol Moncado stories. In this one there is a bit more intrigue going on in Christiana's life; and Ana is trying to figure out just which man is going to be a part of her life. There are some very poignant moments in this one.

One thing I didn't like is the Christian Characters drinking. I know, way too many people who call themselves Christians are now drinking beer and wine without a second thought. Ana and Jonah, at one point, nearly finish off a bottle of wine - not something Christians should be doing!

I loved the ending of this story!

She loves him, she loves him not...

Ana might love Jonathan, but oh, she might love Jonah too. What is a princess to do? Two good men vie for her hand, but which one can bring her lasting love and true happiness? Through stressful, joyful and dangerous times, all three will be tried and tested, and just maybe, the princess will discover her true love. An enthralling love story with twists, turns and an ending that is just right.

Great!

It was a great story. Everyone were happy at the end, except for Johnathan... poor guy. I was not happy with what happened with him. But I'm excited to read his own story. Also according to me Dr. Jonah is not my favorite amongst all the guys. I'm guessing Alexander will be my favorite!!

Good but could have been great

I've enjoyed Ms. Moncado's books but this was one of my least favorite. I loved the idea of Ana having to choose between two beaus but the story fell flat because there was not enough character development. Plenty of sizzle but not enough growth. Still can't wait to read Jonathan's story.

Princess Anna's story is taken right out of fairy tales.

Carol Moncado is an author that spices up her work with great values such as the fulfillment of giving for others, the value of love, and the worth of risk-taking.

The story grips the reader and virtually takes him/her on a virtual trip through the adventures of Anastasia.

best so Far

I am not a big fan of series books but I have really enjoyed this queenly stories. I think, in my opinion, this book has been the best so far. It is intriguing from 1st chapter to last. Very well written and enough redundancy to remind you of the previous books but not enough to become boring. I loved it!

I enjoyed seeing the other side of Jonathan in this book, as I read them all out of order, so I likely enjoyed it a bit more, knowing the other side of the story. I don't recommend reading them out of order, but I still really enjoyed them!

Doctor of her heart

Princess Anastasia of Montevaro has a choice to make; the dashing Jonathan Langley-Cranston or the handsome Doctor Jonah Fontaine. It takes a medicane, a little girl and a small wiggly bundle of fur to show her heart's desire.

Love these stories!

People love stories about royal families and all the complication in their lives. This story is good in that Ana is trying to find where she truly belongs. There is romance and danger and some intrigue all through this story so it was hard to put down.

fun, faith filled, fantastic

I enjoyed reading this story. The family focus, faith in the mist of struggle. Yet charm and laughter too. Things to make you examine preconceived notions. All in a story well told!

Great story! Unlike a lot of books, I never knew which guy the girl was going to choose! It kept me going right until the very end!

More Than a Princess

I loved book three as much as the first two! Once again I couldn't put this story down! Everyone wants to believe that what they do matters! Doctor Jonah doesn't believe that what Princess Ana does is as important as what he does or what those that get out there and get their hands dirty! BUT, he finds out, as she does, she's tougher than he believes and what she does helps their country. During a Bible study they hear how everyone has a job to do. Just like the human body, each part has a job! I used to think as a nursery worker in the church, that it wasn't important as singing in the choir, or being a Sunday school teacher. But the pastor said one Sunday that without nursery workers we wouldn't get to listen in quiet to the service. He said we all have different gifts. That's what I also loved about this series. Three members of the Royal family, each with a different gift to use in service of their country. I was so sad when I found how there isn't a book four, but glad to find out there's another series coming!

Carol Moncado has once again written a great book in More than a Princess! Princess Ana has never felt like she's been able to show her worth to the world. She has feelings for Jonah AND Jonathan...will one of these guys be able to secure her love and value her as someone More than a Princess?? After dealing with a disaster in a sister country, her decision is made up of who she loves and wants to spend her life with...but will they truly be able to make it?! I love all of the sub stories the author bring into play. I would love to see her bring these people back in other series to continue their stories, too. Lots of mystery, love, edge-of-your-seat excitement that keeps you reading straight through!

I loved the twists and turns this book had.
I really enjoyed the sub mysteries of Christiana and all that was going on in her country. I didn't like that we don't know who the mystery man is. So I guess I'll just have to get the book in the next series that is about her.
I was really torn between liking Jonah and Jonathan. Because I had read the last two books my heart was pulling for Jonathan. It was sweet to see the relationships between each man and Ana. My heart was really touched by Stacy and all that her little life had to go through.
I truly hope that Carol Moncado will continue some of these people's stories in her next series!

More than a Princess by Carol Moncado is a happy addition to the Montevaro Monarchy Series.
I feel for Princess Ana as she seeks to find her place in the world and choose between two men wooing her.She proves herself in a disaster that befalls a neighboring monarchy.
It is sad that the series is at an end . Hopefully Carol will see it her heart to write another book or else solve some of the mysteries in the next series.
Excellent book.

More Than a Princess by Carol Moncado is one of the best books I've read in a while. It has romance, it has intrigue, it has excitement all while showing that faith will guide you. I could not put this book down. I needed to find out who Ana would choose, who the bad guy was and if everyone would be rescued. The only downside was that I now want more. I want to read about the other characters and find out if they get their happy endings. I hope there are more books with these characters. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review and I am so thankful she gave me this opportunity.

This intriguing Christian contemporary romance is an exciting read as well as being well written. I fell in love with the characters. It was exciting to see who Ana would choose and who the bad guy is. I just want to see happy endings for the other characters hopefully in further books. The theme of letting your faith guide you is woven into the story line. I can recommend this book and this author. I was given a copy for an honest review.

This was my least favorite of the series, unfortunately. I didn't feel that the prime individual story line was as strong and there were too many other stories competing for a weaker-than-normal one to hold its own. Looking forward to the follow-up series, and really enjoyed the sneak peek at the end.

Wanted more

This book seemed very disjointed to me. It seemed like the author tried to develop a love triangle but it was never believable. I didn't care for the way everything was resolved. I liked all the characters but not really how they interacted with each other. I wanted more from the characters and the story.

Keeps on going!

Although this is a 3rd in a series, it can also stand alone. Gives great insight into the characters and their struggles. It shows their humanity and struggle trusting God without being preachy. I great read. The entire series is

Third book did not disappoint

Great ending to a story I wish would go on. I want to know more about the rest of the characters and their families. I fell in love with all of them.

Royalty chooses!

Felt characters were good. Story developed a little slowly. Life of royalty much like most middle class families. Choosing a mate still determined by heart.
