I've convinced my big alien barbarian that he needs to help my friends, but of course there's a problem. Not only is this planet cold and dangerous, it's killing us slowly. My alien offers to mount a rescue with his people, but I'm afraid that a 'rescue' means they're going to try and claim all the human women as mates.
I'm having a hard time remembering why that's a bad thing, though...
Ruby Dixon is an author of Science Fiction Romance. She likes fated mates, baby-filled epilogues, and cinnamon roll heroes. She also likes to write biographies of herself in the third person, because it feels more important that way.
Ruby also loves coffee and dirty books and will probably be a cat lady at some point. :)
Note to self: Marking this as read for my readers challenge. I just did a re-read of Ice Ice Babies, I already read it this year so it took it off my book count for this year when I re-read it.
So, I read The Alien's Mail-Order Bride by this author, and whereas I didn't much care for alien porn (it was my first experience), I was definitely curious about that spur. So, I decided to give the series that the novella was connected to, Ice Planet Barbarians a shot.
I still can't get my head around the alien part. I can't imagine them. I can't find them sexy because I can't see them. And when I picture something, it isn't attractive. Her writing is pretty good, and her world building is tolerable. The translation part needed some more plotting out, but the rest of the world was somewhat built. I could see the planet, just not the alien.
I said it before, I'll say it again. The fact that those spurs don't exist is also proof that intelligent design is bullshit.
Too much plot, not enough smut. Alien porn not my thing.
A SciFi Alien Serial Romance by Ruby Dixon is good. Not sure what to say but Sci Fi, blue alien erotica. Apparently, it is a thing and apparently, I like it. I am not sure how I stumbled upon Ruby and her books, but I love it and am rereading thewhole series and het other series.
Humans being abducted by aliens and badly mistreated only to find themselves crashed on an alien planet with other aliens. It makes for an interesting read where there are mates, language barriers, horned horney blue aliens and a severe lack of women. It is fun and witty and at times heartbreaking, but it is certainly something different and I now find myself strangely addicted.
WOWZA! I love it! Found is the fourth installment in the amazing new serial, Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon and it totally rocked my world! This is my first time reading anything written by Dixon and it won't be my last. I am definitely a fan! If you love science fiction, alien adventure and scorching hot romance, then you will love, love, love this series. The story is exciting, original, compelling, thrilling, enticing, suspenseful, romantic, seductive, arousing and sensual. The dialogue is smart, sassy, well written and flows effortlessly. The characters are imaginative, captivating, engaging, sexy and at times, laugh out loud funny. When you put all this together, you get one heck of a great read! Sexy blue alien-check! Beautiful sassy earth woman-check! Alien Ice Planet-check! Evil malevolent aliens-check! Danger, alien abduction, adventure, drama, humor and a little snark-check! Romance and steamy alien sexy-you betcha! Oh my! Buckle up my lovelies! It's one hell of a great ride! Oh my! This series just gets better and better! I can hardly wait for Part Five! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
So, after discovering it was Dominique who froze to death they do find the other girls. They are starving and cold. A couple are kinda ill. I think Dominique's death in a way was a blessing because she was traumatized and gang raped by those alien freaks. I dont think she would have done well at all! If not this way then she might have done other things. Vektal is horrified by what he finds but takes her up the mountain to find her friends. He then makes preparations to get to his people so he can come back and rescue them. He brings Georgie with him of course...hes pretty possessive about her. These girls have a great sense of humor still considering things. My question is how his people will react and if they will be coming on to strong for these girls before they catch a break. He was not aggressive with Georgie but he was "confident" I guess you could say. LOL.
I love this series. It just gets better. Georgie and Vektal continue to develop their relationship as they work together to save the other members of the spaceship crash. The world just keeps getting better with more development. I love learning about Vektal’s people, culture, and their home planet. The passion between them is fiery, and the connection is more profound with every read.
Just love the story and the characters. It just gets better as it goes on and once you start reading it's hard to put down; you just want to finish it?
