I wrote this for everyone that needs to go back in time and watch that one cool-ass movie again. The one that's super retro, gritty, fun, fantastic. This is a dark, tech-noir, kick-in-the-pants shoot-em up.

"My feet are wrong,"
"Oh, we put them on backwards,man”
This reads like a retro alien invasion. A strange creature invades Earth; it's fast-paced and funny. Zack and Felix help Vincent and Willy banish the crawlers. There is some tragedy along the way. This book will pull you in with the banter, fighting, and repairs. I absolutely love the cover!

Read like an 80’s bug horror. Was a lot of fun, but way too many spelling and grammatical errors. Love the cover!

This was a perfect summer creature-feature for fans of campy movies and fast moving horror set in a small desert town. There are elements of sci-fi, nostalgia, sick kills, wacky creatures, and goofy young people on a caper with real-life stakes and humor. It's 200 pages that reads as fast as 100 pages. Once you step into the current, it will take your feet out from under you!
If you are looking for horror will a silly streak that'll make you smile, this might be one to try. I got a huge kick out of it. If you think you know what's happening in the book, trust me, you don't. This novel takes some unexpected turns, for sure! Not for people who are squeamish about spiders!
This is also a great recovery read when you need a laugh after something darker or sappy. This novel gave me consistent smiles!

This is a bloody, action packed, fun horror/comedy that features giant robotic like spiders invading a town and the bad ass bug killers from another planet working with two younger humans in a race for survival. And it's about as good as you think it would be!
When they discover something killing their livestock, Zach and Felix discover something they've never seen before. Some strange bugs that nobody can identify and these critters are bloody thirsty for flesh of any kind. I'll let you read the events but eventually Earth is visited by human looking aliens who are on an intergalactic job to kill as many of these bugs as possible. Zack and Felix join forces with them (reluctantly) and pretty soon the action ramps up and doesn't quit until the very last page.
This is one of those books that reads like a b-movie in your head as you giddily suspend your disbelief and taken along on this gooey, bloody, laugh out loud ride along with the gang of likeable characters. You'll cheer for them, fear for them at times, but the pacing is so quick witted and sharp that you'll be surprised at how quickly it goes. Definitely has all those vibes of a good creature feature/sci-fi/comedy. This one is simply highly entertaining and FUN. I highly recommend it.

I was hooked by the idea of aliens invading a remote part of the country, and Felix and Zack teaming up with a pair of outer-space bug bounty hunters made for a fun, action packed adventure. Willy was easily my favorite character.
My only wish is that we’d gotten a little side note letting us know whether their families survived. Otherwise, this was a creative, funny, awesomely detailed, and entertaining sci-fi romp that left me wanting more.

High octane from start to finish, Doomland by Penny Moonz takes the reader on a wild ride. Horror and humour combine to create a cinematic and immersive story. The fight scenes were out of this world. I ended up reading this book quickly because I needed to know how it ended.

B movie horror/comedy at its best. Penny brings us Zack and Felix who have discovered these crazy flesh eating bugs. They team up with fighters from outer space to try and take them down before the whole town is destroyed. The characters are great, the banter is hilarious, and the setting takes you back to the old B movies of the 80's. Can't wait to see what Penny has out next.

This is a technothriller with alien intervention. There is some gore but not enough to restrict the age of readers. Easily read in one sitting. Best of all it has the ability to become a series.

A love letter to retro sci-fi horror that feels like stepping into an over-the-top 1980s creature feature. Fast-paced, bloody, and packed with action, Doomland embraces its tech-noir roots with giant robotic spider-like invaders, alien bug hunters, and plenty of chaos. The story never takes itself too seriously, delivering equal parts horror, comedy, and explosive fun. If you enjoy campy alien invasion movies, outrageous monsters, and nonstop action, this one is a blast from start to finish. 🕷️👽💥📼
