Vanessa is the official ride or die chick for her husband, Ty. But the thorn in her side is his babymama, Trinity, who still loves him and makes no effort to hide it. Although Vanessa loves her husband, there is only so much of his conniving baby mother that she can take. Especially when another person enters the picture.
While Ty is in Miami helping Trinity take control of her brother's Haitian drug cartel after he is locked up by the Feds, Vanessa meets Mayhem, a sexy rival hustler in NYC, who is after everything Ty has. Like Ty, he is a sexy thug; a self-made millionaire who earns his living off moving dough in the streets. The only difference is that whereas the family life gave Ty a heart, Mayhem doesn't have one. And it's something about his cold-hearted, rough nature that causes Vanessa to want to risk it all.
Ty is trying to juggle the two women in his life and at the same time fight off Mayhem who ignores the rules of the streets and is steadily attacking Ty's empire. With Ty's mind on helping Trinity in Miami, his focus isn't on his family or his wife. By the time he tries to get himself together, it may just be too late.

The Wife of a Hustler Review
This is the beginning of an action packed series. I don't understand how Ty can be mad at Vanessa when he was screwing his other baby momma Trinity. It was disrespectful the way he dragged his wife out of Mayhem's house naked. Yes she was wrong, but so was he. Mayhem is out to destroy Ty by any means necessary and he is going to use Vanessa to do it. Or is he?

Wife of a hustler
Ty has officially lost his mind! There's the understanding that being the wife of a hustler is never easy but he put Trinity above his family. He had no problem neglecting his wife or his own issues but didn't hesitate to help Trinity with her family problems. Vanessa may have thought she was moving smart but actually didn't prepare for everything that could possibly occur for trying to take things into her own hands. I can't stand Trinity. She needs to find somebody else and move on. Tomas is her leverage and she uses that every chance she gets. Loon is crazy and I'm hoping that chick won't get her hopes up too much. Mayhem is really sleeping on Vanessa. I don't like him and can't wait until he gets handled the right way. Hopefully Vanessa will be able to do the honors. I swear Ty is the typical dude. It's alright for him to do whatever but as soon as he hears something about Vanessa it becomes a problem. She should've always been his priority but he was too busy doing the most. I do feel bad for Vanessa and just want her to move on and not worry about Ty. At least Kingston respected her enough at the end because Ty's trifling behind needed to be punched. I'm ready for part 2 though. Will Ty realize he's messed up in a major way and understand the role he played in the situation, will Mayhem be knocked off his pedestal, will Trinity succeed on her mission or risk more than she bargained for, and is Vanessa willing to forget about what her heart wants to finally focus on her happiness or continue being the wife of a hustler??!!

Vanessa is the woman of the hour. Ty makes me sick and I wish the she would just move on from him and his mess. He does what he wants to do, but flips out if he even suspects that something is going on with her. He is the typical man, wanting his cake and eating it too. He can't be there for her when she needs him, but he is always there for his baby mama Trinity. Now on to part 2. Hopefully Vanessa will stand up for herself and leave him alone.

This book was really good. I can't not stand Trinity at all she need to find her own man. I could not stand Ty because he put everything before his wife. I like Vanessa but I did not like what she did to and put herself in harm way. I am on my way to read part 2 to see what happen next.

Excellent Read
Perhaps I'm biased, because I fell in love with this series and the characters long ago. It's violent, sexy, and most importantly it's all believable.
Yes, there's ridiculous amounts of money, goons, and power...but that's part of the reason I love this genre. The author keeps it real however. She never becomes a slave to the new hood book formula. The story has teeth if you will. An added bonus, is the backstory that ties these characters together.
I highly recommend you read all of her books, you won't regret the purchases.

So good
This story so good I had a dream about mayhem omg. The love triangle between Ty and Vanessa and trinity. Is so good and the crazy decisions Vanessa makes and Ty trying to played her for a fool,,, but mayhem and Vanessa chemistry is so strong I'm about to start book 2

I really enjoyed this story...it flowed and I loved the character. I just don't understand how ty can be so Damon upset like he is squeaky clean ...any way I can't Waite to see what happens next. Vanessa was my favorite I hope it works out for her.

All I have to say is will Ty believe her? From the very beginning Vanessa was not smart. She got caught up in being something she wasn't to keep a man. Can't wait for the next one.

Good urban read. Vanessa was slowly slipping back to her old ways. I was hoping she was strong & smart enough to stay away from Mayhem. Violent scenes kept the action going. Trinity was just as evil as Ty with her tactics. Good storyline with known characters.

Damn that book was good.I am shocked at the shit that Ty is doing.Like why the hell would you do that to your wife.Vanessa is a ride it die she is my favorite.Trinity is a good chick but about time she put these man in they place.That ending was unexpected.I can't want to read part two.

Damn, Damn, Damn!!!!!! This was a good ass book. Trinity is a beast and Mayhem's con on Vanessa was pure genius until he was outsmarted. On to book 2.

What little there was to read was getting good he quickly ended. I'm wondering why are Vanessa and Ty together? He's seeing his baby mama and she's flirting with the enemy. Lol okay she's cheating too. Vanessa pretends she's taking one for the team but not in his bed naked and being eaten. This is leading up to drama but there could have been a little more here. There are not too many chapters. I will read on though.

This book has a lot going on with so many people to keep track of but it's good. The name of the game is hustling and there can only be one main hustlers. Hopefully Ty can keep that status and his baby mama in Miami can rule as well. I'm ready for part 2.
