There's not a lot of writing in this little book with comparative photographs of (guess what?) the San Fernando Valley. But the accuracy of all the captions is called into question by the author's apparent inability to fact check.

He refers to the 1992 Northridge earthquake...twice. At least he's consistent with his mistakes. It was January 1994. I was there, but all you had to do was Google it!

The photos aren't particularly well matched, either, so I'd say have a look at a hard copy before you consider sending it as a gift to your friend who lives in Tarzana.

Picked this up while hanging out at the library (yeah, I do that) and read it while there. It's pretty interesting, though the captions are kind of cornball. Interesting to me, as I live in the valley.
