The team returned to Earth from the Netherworld, having received absolutely no help from the useless Nether gods of Asgard.
They will have to find a way to prevent a Convergence, without divine assistance. Fine. They will do that, somehow.
Except first, they have to get back to their own Earth, the one they left from. Not the one they stepped into. Not 1940s France. Where all the people are dead. And monsters are hungry.
My Bio: Craig Alanson used to create financial reports for a large IT services company. Writing fiction at nights and on weekends, he finally independently published three novels on Amazon. Within 6 months of his first ebook release, he was able to quit his day job and pursue a full-time writing career.

The ExForce series, as it is known to fans, has gone on to 10 books/audiobooks, many of which have hit the NYT best-seller list, with a 11th book releasing June 2021 and 14 books planned.
Craig has also published a spin-off series, ExForce: Mavericks; an ExForce audio drama, Homefront; a fantasy trilogy, Ascendent; and a young adult space opera, Aces. Craig lives in Virginia with his wife, who loves him even though he perpetually refuses to clean the garage.
Dead World: Convergence Series - Awesome Storytelling, By A Master Storyteller!
Got into reading Craig Alanson when he put out a story about soldiers, giant hamsters and a shithead beer can. WTH? And it turned into a rollicking fun, sad, happy, exasperating, exciting multibook, galaxy spanning ongoing adventure. Now we start with a quasi criminal who might be an untrained wizard on the run, a talking Golden retriever and the Great Kazoo (djin) stuffed into an Itty bitty medallion,,,oh yeah, and a bunch of assholes trying to kill him. It goes downhill from there into another incredible storyline that takes us into an alternate timeliness where dang near everyone is dead and a mythical God is the culprit!......I enjoy the asshole beer can,,,but the Convergence Series is shaping up to be something really special!......So, Craig, please (no pressure) I'm dying to find out, what happens next?!?
Dead World (Convergence #6) by Craig Alanson Great installment in this series. Lots of good quotes. This series is always fun to read and I'm never bored with it. I think the worldbuilding is getting better, but I do want some more detail into the magic system.
