Tulasi Acharya
36 books39 followersTulasi Acharya, PhD, originally from Nepal, began his American journey in 2008. He holds a Master’s in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University, a Master’s in Women’s Studies, and a PhD in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He also earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Georgia College. Dr. Acharya currently teaches English at South Georgia State College.
An accomplished multilingual author, Dr. Acharya has published over a dozen books across multiple genres. His debut English novel, Running from the Dreamland, received critical acclaim, and his bestselling Nepali novels, Mochan and Swapnabhumi, reflect his literary versatility in both Nepali and English. His academic and creative work has been published by leading publishers, including Routledge and Lexington Books, an imprint of Bloomsbury Academic.
Dr. Acharya’s short stories have earned honors such as the Certificate of Excellence from the University of New Hampshire and have appeared in numerous literary journals and newspapers, including The Kathmandu Post, The Himalayan Times, The Rising Nepal, and the MSU Roadrunner Review. In recognition of his literary achievements in the global Nepali community, he received the INLS (International Nepali Literary Society) Homanath Subedi Diaspora Best Literary Award.
In his most recent book titled, Like Water on Leaves of Taro, Acharya extends an invitation to readers to witness mourning as both personal and communal, grounded in ancient tradition yet deeply relevant in today’s fractured world.
His writing is driven by an unwavering passion for storytelling, cultural connection, and the written word.

“Dinbhari Paani Parirahanchha” (Rain Falls All Day Long) is the latest poetry collection by author Tulasi Acharya. It is also novel in the sense that it compiles fresh and experimental poems. Containing a diverse range of Nepali poems—long, short, narrative, and visual—this collection is truly readable and worth keeping. Poet Acharya deserves appreciation.

नेपाली कविता प्रेमीहरूका लागि यो कविता सङ्ग्रह साँच्चिकै एक पूर्ण प्याकेज हो।
यस सङ्ग्रहमा कवि डा. तुलसी आचार्य ले परम्परागत शैली, संस्मरणात्मक शैली, प्रबन्ध शैली, शब्दचित्र शैली तथा छोटा कवितामार्फत विविध स्वादका रचनाहरू प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको छ।
विशेषगरी, यी कविताहरूले नेपाली माटोको सुगन्धलाई जीवन्त बनाएका छन्। विदेशी भूमिमा कर्म गर्ने क्रममा नेपालको सम्झना, बाबु–आमा र हजुरबुबा–हजुरआमाको माया, चाडपर्वका बेला नेपालमा छाउने रौनक, समसामयिक नेपाली विषयवस्तु तथा विविध बिम्बहरूलाई कवितामार्फत अत्यन्तै संवेदनशील र कलात्मक ढङ्गले प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ।
