What if rejection wasn't something to fear – but something to run towards?

In The Rejection Cure, viral sensation and self-worth advocate Sophie Jones rips the power out of rejection and hands it back to you.

With over 700,000 followers hanging on her every word on TikTok and Instagram, Sophie turned a 30-day rejection therapy challenge into a full-blown movement - and a mindset revolution. Part-memoir, part-manifesto, this book is your permission slip to stop playing small, start showing up, and say yes to things that scare you (and no to shrinking yourself ever again).

Through personal stories, practical tools and the four mindset-shifting steps of rejection therapy, Sophie shows you how to turn “no” into fuel, bounce back louder, and build unshakable confidence - whether it's in dating, career, friendships, or everyday life.

Because the cure for rejection isn't avoiding it. It's facing it. Owning it. And letting it set you free.

I was so excited to read this after following Sophie’s rejection therapy on TikTok and wanted to see how her voice came across in this book - it did not disappoint.

I thought the explanation at the start for any readers who aren’t already aware of Sophie’s exposure therapy to rejection was brilliant at setting the scene but I would say after reading this book if you are not already following on social media you would like to.

The book is a lot more science based than I expected which I really enjoyed, it was written in a way that was easy to understand and I felt I have taken a lot of information away that can be used in day to day life.

As the book went on I enjoyed it more and more - the last 50 pages felt like being given a hug by an old friend.

Overall an educational, empowering, wholesome, feel-good book. Thank you to Sophie, Bloomsbury and NetGalley for the ARC

Having seen the odd video that Sophie makes on her social media accounts, this caught my eye in passing and I was keen to see what "The Rejection Cure" entails. Sophie introduces The Rejection Cure as a form of Rejection Therapy, that aims to get people to seek out being rejected in a variety of ways to wire their brain to not see these rejections as threats. There's a full 30 day challenge template for you to tackle, giving you the tools to achieve this as well as ideas to mould this challenge to suit you and your brain.
As someone who definitely does fear rejection I found this book really insightful. Although some of it may seem quite obvious initially, it was actually really helpful to have it spelled out in front of you that there is actually nothing wrong with you, and that your brain is actually protecting you. By taking part in Sophie's 30 day challenge you can train your brain to not be as affected by being turned down or have interactions not go as you'd planned.
I think that even if you don't want to do the challenge, the information inside this book is well worth reading and I would recommend it to anyone in need of a pep talk as well as someone who was looking to gently push themselves out of their comfort zone to start living a more carefree life!

Thank you to Bloomsbury Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC!

I think this book is such an important read, especially in today’s world where social norms and the influence of social media can make us feel like we have to fit a certain mould to be accepted. It offers such a refreshing reminder that we don’t have to let fear of rejection define us.

The book is packed with practical tips and strategies for overcoming rejection and anxiety, and rather than feeling overwhelming, it leaves you feeling motivated and empowered to make positive changes.

This is a must-read for anyone looking to build their confidence, challenge their fear of rejection, and embrace themselves more fully.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Publishing for the advanced reader copy.

I was a little dubious about this as I totally couldn’t imagine doing any of these things. However, I was won over by some of the very small challenges that I felt I could try and felt I could get some benefit from. I know my daughter does her own little version of these to gain more confidence and it always makes me really proud. Anyway, although it’s not something I risked rejection for it did inspire me to jump off the 1m board at the lido when my wife suggested we both should as it was relatively quiet. I didn’t let the fear stop me for once. Thanks to NetGalley and Bloomsbury Tonic for the ARC.

I really wish this book had been around when I was 15 because I genuinely think it would have changed me in so many positive ways.

I can't wait to get a physical copy to put on my bookshelf, as it's a book I'll definitely recommend to my children when they're older.

If you're a parent of a teenager, this is such a valuable read, and I'd also recommend it to anyone who struggles with rejection, hearing the word no, or expressing how they truly feel.

Loved the overall message of this book - to not fear rejection and see it as an opportunity for growth. Personally, I’m not drawn to doing the challenge myself but interesting to read the reflections of someone who has.
