A sizzling, small town, cowboy romantic suspense by USA Today bestselling author Dakota Davies.
My first day on the job as a conservation officer for the wildest district in Idaho ends in disaster when I find out the girl who rode my thigh and made expert use of her mouth in the back of a crowded bar four nights ago is none other than my grumpy mentor's spirited daughter.
But it's worse than having to explain my obsession with the girl who ran off before I could get her number, because she begs me to keep us a secret. And if there's one thing I've learned now that I'm sober, is how destructive just one secret can be. But even if I was willing, keeping this one would be impossible because not only am I her dad's shadow for the next two months, Linnea is our district's other new hire, which makes us coworkers.
We try to cool things down, but thanks to our crackling chemistry, that's another impossible task, and each meetup ends with us hooking up – in my truck, my room, the barn – and too late I'm falling for this girl, consequences be damned. But there are malicious forces at work, ready to tear us apart. Forces determined to end our chance at happiness, to take our courage and love and snuff it out…for good.

From the moment I started this series, I have been a super fan, and I think Love Me Wild might just be my favorite of favorites of this series! I really enjoy the way that Dakota intertwines romance and suspense in a story and makes sure that one doesn’t overshadow the other. She’s actually so good at this that she threw in an extra couple in this story and it was flawless! That’s two romance journeys! *heart eyes* You don’t see a whole lot of stories written like this outside of Women’s Fiction, so that was refreshing and kind of new. AND, she cast the audio version with an outstanding ensemble of narrators (Gregory Salinas, Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Stephen Borne, & Robert Hatchet) that made listening for 11(ish) hours seem like no time at all. I was invested from the get, but that’s not really a surprise because she has drawn me into every single one of her stories the same way!
I enjoyed the heck out of one couple being a “later in life” romance and the other, well, not. LOL I also loved that both couples are connected in more than just a “knowing” each other way, but rather a deeper more meaningful connection. You’ll have to read the story to figure out exactly how, but let’s just say it’s as close to kismet as it gets. Kinda. LOL Rowdy and Keo are our “later in life” couple and I love how realistic and relatable their connection was and how Dakota wrote their character growth from being independent to a couple and really leaning on each other to help each other carry their burdens. (if that makes sense lol) Our younger couple, CJ and Linnea, were sassy and entertaining! I loved how both couple’s journeys connected and even that Dakota wrote flawlessly. She basically juggled 3 different but connected plots and thoroughly developed them in an average length book! #WordWizard :)
I’ve already mentioned the outstanding cast Dakota put together for this audiobook, but it’s worth repeating. Full cast narration can get a little jumbled for me sometimes, but I didn’t miss a single beat with this audio. I really really enjoyed the experience!
It’s hard for me to picture myself reading something different by Dakota because Finn River is the only world that I have experienced of hers but I’m looking forward to what’s next and also carve some time for her backlist!
If you enjoy romance novels with strong willed characters, picturesque settings, and a touch of emotional grit, Love Me Wild is a must read!! Dakota Davies has delivered an emotional story that reminds us that sometimes, you have to get a little lost in the wild to find exactly where you belong.
Set against a backdrop of breathtaking mountain sunsets, this contemporary romance follows a deep emotional path of second chances and family drama.
What I Loved: Dakota’s ability to evoke the feeling of being in the wild is one of the book's greatest strengths. This isn't just a surface level romance- it dives deeply into the wild side of love... unpredictable, sometimes messy, but ultimately life changing. And.. how the balance of personal happiness and family duty was handled with care.
My Final Verdit: This was my first read from Dakota. AND although this can be read as a standalone - it is the last of the Love Me Dangerous series. I need (with my entire soul) to read all the ones before this very one. I need all of it in it's entirety. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of your world.
This has been an incredible series and one I did not want to see end, but Dakota Davies did not disappoint! In a book were we get two couples, this might be my favorite book of the series. What makes this special is neither couple outshines the other.
As we return to Finn River for Linnea and CJ’s story, and our bonus couple Keo and Rowdy, there is a lot going on, but developed as a continuous story. I was invested in everything going on, rooting for characters, and never feeling I need to slow down. Things get intense for a bit, there is some tension in the couples, but the romance and the suspense finds its way to a great wrap up.
I enjoyed this entire series, and I am excited to see where we go next.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

🎧: This full cast duet style audio was simply amazing! First time for me to listen to 4 POVs as well and it was so great to listen too! These incredibly talented narrators did a beautiful job bringing this story to life. It was like listening to a movie. Their acting was heartfelt, emotional at times, and powerful. See listing of narrators below.
📕: Such a fun, spicy, fast-paced story that you all are going to love! It was a great ending to this series and the suspense kept me on my toes! I absolutely adored Linnea & CJ’s chemistry and connection! It was so undeniable and kept me hooked! AND their meet cute was 🔥😍. I loved their messy relationship that ended up truly meant to be! 🥰

I truly wasn't ready for this series to end but in Dakota fashion she went out with a bang. Love Me Wild is the last book in a series where I have fallen in love with each and every character. The chemistry between Linnea and CJ is like nothing else and then there is Rowdy and Keo...in a way it feels these couples were meant for each other. I loved the way everything just meshed when it came to Rowdy and how he happened to be CJ's boss and that Rowdy was Linnea's father. It made for an interesting dynamic and well it was done to perfection.
Now on to the narrators of the audiobook. This was my first full cast audio and I wasn't sure if my brain would be able to comprehend all the amazing voices. I will say it was done so well I never once had a problem. I devoured this audiobook in a day and I will say the narrators for each character was spot on. With Laura Horowitz as Linnea Whittaker, Gregory Salinas as CJ Parks, Walker Williams as Rowdy Whittaker, MK Blackwood as Keo Stratton and Maryanne, Robert Hatchet returning as Deputy Zach Hayes, and Stephen Borne as Sheriff Thomas, “Bear’, and FBI Agent Luke Ballard, all nailed their role and made the experience so much better.
This series has a place in your heart as it did with mine. Dakota just knows how to combine romance, suspense, a little bit of fun, and well the most important part....FAMILY. Bravo for a fantastic series and I can't wait to see what you have for us next.
This is a review for the audiobook and book This was an amazing cast. They all did fabulous. This was such an amazing audiobook, I couldn't get enough of it
This story was amazing. I loved all the characters. It made me laugh, feel hopeful, anxious, it had me in all my feels. Thsnk you so much to the publisher and net galley for allowing listen and review

Love Me Wild Love Me Dangerous, Book 7 By: Dakota Davies Narrated by: Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet
Dakota Davies welcomes you back to Finn River for a grand finale of her incredible “Love Me Dangerous” series, in the most spectacular of ways, with a multi-cast audiobook production performed in duet, a superbly talented cast that takes her already amazing story to another level. This seventh novel is a captivating romantic suspense that grips you throughout and touches your every emotion. Davies outdid herself, giving us two different romance storylines, with Linnea Whittaker and CJ Parks in the forefront and a secondary romance that is equally meaningful is Rowdy Whittaker and Keo Stratton’s. Each book in this series featured a different couple, each story just as fantastic as the next, and in each book we saw there was something shady going on in Finn River, which all comes to a head in this final book, with the lead characters in the midst and characters from earlier books jump in to doing what they do. Linnea is back in Finn River to start a new job and is staying at her childhood home with her father. Her first night there, she was out celebrating with her bestie when she did something out of her ordinary, hooking up with a mysterious newcomer. CJ regretted not asking for her number, but his mind was elsewhere, on the new job he was starting, training with Finn River’s senior conservation officer, Rowdy Whittaker, hoping to get a permanent position with them. Small-town living comes into play, so he gets to see her again, but working with her father complicates things, though that does not stop them from seeing each other again. Rowdy’s other daughter has been trying to get him to date, and found someone local, Keo, an artist, but the two had already met and he took her number but never called, talk about awkward! Davies did a fabulous job building these relationships, and it was great to learn more about each of them, watching them get to know each other and see their relationships morph into something so much more. I found the story to be rich and complex, with many layers, and I enjoyed watching it all unfold and fall into place, perfectly blending drama, angst, mystery, thrilling and suspenseful moments, profound emotions, and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot, and world-building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Dakota Davies, thank you for another brilliant story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook listen and line-up of talent, Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet, who did an incredible job voicing the characters, embodying their roles completely, and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Laura Horowitz and Gregory Salinas were fabulous as the two leads, Linnea and CJ, as were MK Blackwood and Walker Williams as Keo and Rowdy. Stephen Borne jumps in, covering several roles including Bear, Luke Ballard and Sheriff Thomas, and Robert Hatchet reprises his role as Zach Hayes, both nailing it in every role. They set the ideal tone for the story, and their expressive performance conveyed all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. It was a pleasure to listen to this amazing cast perform, an entertaining performance that captivates your attention and keeps you glued to the story.
My review is written voluntarily after listening to the wonderful audio edition of this amazing book. I have devoured every book in the Love Me Dangerous Series, and each new one has become my favourite until the next! Each book seems to be better than the one before. This is the seventh and final book in what has become one of my favourite series.
If you, like me, have followed this series, you will have grown to love the people and the town of Finn River. If, for some reason, you are starting with this book, which at a push you could enjoy as a standalone story, you will, I am sure, want to go back and listen to this wonderful series from the start.
In this visit to Finn River, instead of telling one couple's story, Dakota has given us two couples hoping to find lasting happiness. Couple number one are Linnea and CJ, who met in a bar, shared an amazing connection, but did not exchange numbers and never expected to meet again. She was celebrating her controlling and mentally abusive ex's forthcoming marriage while CJ was celebrating his new job. What neither of them knew was that CJ's new job was as her father, Rowdy’s, new assistant and possible replacement. CJ's a recovering alcoholic and a really great guy who really regrets not getting her number.
The second couple are Rowdy and Keo, who met previously and were attracted to each other; he even asked for her number, but didn't call her. They met again when he answered a call about a possible bear invasion on her property. It turned out to be a teenage boy who had escaped from a cult, the Sons of Eden, who have an encampment near Finn River. Rowdy carries baggage from his ex, who made him feel he was never good enough, and so he has focused on being a single parent to his children, believing he doesn't deserve anything for himself. Kio, too, has baggage, from her previous marriage, but is determined that if she risks her heart again, it will be with someone who values her. Their connection is great, but will they take the leap and try for something more?
I found myself drawn into this book from the beginning and didn't want to stop listening until the end. Dakota's writing style is wonderfully descriptive; she paints pictures with her words, pulling you into the characters' lives and the story. She builds the tension surrounding the Sons of Eden slowly; the danger, mystery and the drama are perfectly paced, and the flow of the story is perfect. Love Me Wild ties up many threads left hanging in the earlier books, but no spoilers from me on how!
The narration is provided by a full cast who bring every aspect of the story and characters to life wonderfully; it could not have been improved upon. Dakota is to be congratulated for bringing together Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, M K Blackwood, Robert Hatchet, and Walker Williams to narrate this amazing and moving story. I could not stop listening to it. Each narrator is superb.
This is one of those series I know I will listen to again, and one I highly recommend

MULTI-CAST DUET NARRATION
Thanks to Dakota for #gifted copies of the ARC & ALC. All thoughts are my own.
What an amazing ending to The Love Me Dangerous series. This book packs a punch & not only does it have a multi-cast that's in duet narration, with 6 AMAZING narrators, but we get two love stories for the price of one that are perfectly written with amazing storylines & wonderful HEA's. Dakota delivers small-town charm, danger & suspense with spice that hits just right. 🔥
Rowdy & Keo: I was immediately invested in these two. I loved that they were older MC's in life who had both experienced some tough life lessons & had some years under their belts. I'm a sucker for two people who have kind of given up on love, only to be drawn to each other and realize they found their person. Rowdy is broody, gruff & extremely protective, but there's the softest side to this man and Keo is perfect for him. She can hold her own, is a bit feisty & knows exactly what she wants. I really loved these two characters and their story.
CJ & Linnea: These two were so much fun. Their "meet cute" on the dance floor that neither of them could stop thinking about was HOT!🔥 The tension between the two was perfect and so fun. Add on that CJ works for her dad and it just adds to this messy love story. They fight their attraction tooth and nail but eventually give in and they were perfect for each other.
Dakota's ability to write romantic suspense never ceases to amaze me. I was on the edge of my seat once again, wondering what was going on. She's able to balance romance and suspense perfectly and the two love stories keep the plot moving along with sweet and swoony moments woven in. They way the story wrapped up and the HEA's that followed were so satisfying.
You absolutely can read this as a standalone. You'll be able to stay up with what's happening. The characters and some plot points are interconnected but everything will make perfect sense.
🎤Let's talk audio: Look at this cast people!!!! 6 AMAZING narrators in duet! It just doesn't get better than this. Each narrator was fantastic in their role & added so much depth and emotion to their characters. It was such a fun and exciting listening experience. I especially loved Walker and Gregory as they voiced the main MC's. I haven't listened much to Walker and he BLEW me away. He honestly made the perfect Rowdy & he had me rootin' for this man! Laura and MK are such talented ladies and I love their work. They shine in this audiobook as well. Stephen and Rob round out this amazing cast and do a wonderful job. Dakota really outdid herself with this one folks! This absolutely needs to be listened to, 100%.
If you're a fan of romantic suspense, then you have to pick up one of Dakota's books. This whole series is on Hoopla and its absolutely worth your time. This is quite the ride and each narrator captured the range of emotions that was felt throughout this book. I'm sad to say goodbye to Finn River but look forward to more from Dakota.
When I say Dakota out done herself that is exactly what I mean. Book 7 in the Love Me series is all that you will want and so so much more. If you have followed this series then you will get finalization to a cult that these characters have been searching for. It will not come easy. There are two couples hoping to find love and their journey will be difficult. We have Linnea and CJ who meet in a bar and have themselves a very enjoyable time not knowing that CJ will soon be her father’s new recruit/replacement. Then there is Rowdy (Linnea’s dad) and Keo who meet in the past and now their paths are crossing once again. Linnea is coming off a breakup that was mentally abusing, CJ is a great guy with a past addiction but when he meets Linnea his world will change. Rowdy is broken from his ex who led him to believe he was never enough. Kio is basically in the same boat but when they connect, they know they want more.
This book will draw you in from page one all the way to the end. This author is AMAZING. The way she brings you into the story with the way she describes the scenery and making the characters come to life is wonderful. The double love story will keep you wanting more and the mystery, suspense and the whole story plot will keep you flipping the pages.
Now for the best part. OMG this is the best audible version I believe I have ever heard. Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, M K Blackwood, Stephen Borne, Robert Hatchet and Walker Williams absolutely kicked A** narrating this story. I usually am honored to receive an alc copy of Dakota’s stories but I bought this book before the alc came out and I will say it was worth every penny!!! I could not stop listening to it. The way these narrators bring each and every character to life is OUTSTANDING.
Now that the series is complete I think I will go back and read/listen to them all over again, that’s just how good it was.
Thank you Dakota for allowing me to be a part of you ARC/ALC team. I love you and can’t wait till the next series. I was honored to receive an ARC/ALC copy of Love Me Wild and I am freely leaving an honest review.
Where to start this book gives us 2 different couples love story and intertwines a mystery and suspense plot...seriously they all the elements worked and flowed together seamlessly. The talent Dakota Davies has to make this work blows me away, its so unique in the romance genre. I know this is book 7 in a series but I have only read the first 3 and I will say you don't need the past books to fallow and understand this one at all. I appreciate when an author gives me everything I need in a interconnected series book so I don't feel lost.
I adored Keo & Rowdy they are divorced mature character with grown children ready to be happy again. Their romace is more coplex with some vulnerabilities that playout, personal growth and acceptance of mistakes. I was rooting for them the whole way. I appreciated the maturity between them.
CJ & Linnea had me from the start. They have crazy chemistry and their story had me gasping. They just exudeded something special that I cant put my finger on but I know I loved it. CJ works hard for Linnea but her never pushed or made her feel uncomfortable. He was just steady in his convictions, showing up and showing her he was worth the gamble. He would never make her feel unwanted, underappreciated. Linnea had alot to overcome personality but with the right support and CJ giving her everything she needed she was able to grow and change. They are perfect together.
The suspense and mystery is interwoven into this pair of love storys perfectly. It kept me engaged and intrigued. Its terribly heartbreaking and intense as the mystery unfolds but gets wrapped up in a tidy ending.
I had the pleasure of reading this book by audio. It is done in Duet style narration with a full cast. Read by Gregory Salinas, Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams. MK Blackwood. Stephen Borne. & Robert Hatchet. They all do such an amazing job at conveying thus story with such warmth, emotion and fun. The multicast made this story so much more interesting and rewarding. All of the voices flow together in harmony. Each actor brought their characters to life and made this feel like a movie not just a book.
Thank you to Dakota Davies for this ALC. These are my honest opinions and feelings.
I went into Love Me Wild not only blind but thinking I’d get one love story… and instead I got TWO!! And honestly, I’m not mad about it AT ALL. Another thing, while this is a 7 book interconnected series, I had no problem coming into this story without reading any of the previous ones. The way Dakota wrote this book, I had no problem understanding the problems and getting everything I needed in order to understand the over arching plot..
OK...Onto the story. CJ and Linnea had me hooked right away. The tension, Immediate.. Specifically their first interaction...HOLY HOTNESS! And the fact that CJ works with her dad(He's Cj's Mentor and boss) just adds that extra layer of "this is a terrible idea but I need it anyway". You can feel how much Cj's fighting his attraction but man he goes after Linnea with all he's got.… which of course makes it even better when he inevitably loses that battle.
Then...... we also get Rowdy and Keo. And I was NOT expecting to be this invested in their relationship. There’s something about a second chance-ish, a little more seasoned couple, and a little more complicated romance that just hits differently (not in a bad way). Rowdy is gruff, protective, and low-key emotional under the surface, and Keo absolutely holds her own with him and they just make the best couple.
What I really loved about this book is how it balances the romance with the suspense. There’s definitely tension beyond just the relationships, and it keeps the story moving without taking away from the swoony moments. If anything, it makes everything feel more intense and wraps everything up in a nice reading package.
If you love: ✨ forbidden-ish vibes ✨ protective, slightly unhinged men ✨ strong women who don’t back down ✨ AND a side of danger with your romance
Pick this one up because this one is absolutely worth the read. AND a little side note.....I have just added 6 more books to my TBR because this series is absolutely amazing and worth every page and lost hour of sleep. I will definitely be picking them up and reading in order.
Perfect balance of suspense and 2 romance storylines!
This final book was everything I was hoping for and more! This starts out with Linnea, a wildlife biologist, coming home to start a new position. She meets CJ out at a bar one night and things get steamy quickly when they find a quiet corner of the bar. Thigh ride anyone? Little does she know, CJ is also the newest conservation officer, and her dad, Rowdy, is his mentor. Needless to say, there are a few shocked people when all these things come to light. This is not only their story, but I loved seeing Rowdy find love again. His sole purpose has been his job and children. No time for relationships. It’s sweet when he meets his match in Keo. The artist and recently divorced empty nester. She reports a bear on her property, and when Rowdy answers the call, what he finds is surprising.
With dual romances and the suspense, this was all woven together seamlessly and brilliantly by the author. The story felt very fluid and not forced to fit a narrative. It was thoughtful, intense, and emotional. I was weepy at one point by the intense anguish and relief I felt from Rowdy.
Which leads to this ridiculously good FULL CAST narration. Talk about an eargasm. I could not stop listening once I started. Listening to a full cast is a different experience. I felt like I was there with them. Gregory Salinas as CJ struggling with his sobriety and his feelings for his mentor’s daughter. Laura Horowitz as the strong, determined Linnea. Walker Williams as Rowdy, the loving father, loyal to his community, and the tender soul. MK Blackwood as the sassy, caring Keo starting her next chapter. THEN, you round out the cast with Stephen Borne and Robert Hatchet? Amazing!!!
This entire series has a great balance of romance and suspense. This book amped up both. These were the right characters for this epic conclusion. As a bonus, it felt like it came full circle with Zack and Sophie from book one making several appearances. If you love romantic suspense, I can’t recommend this book and series enough.

This book was SO my vibe 😭 small town Idaho setting, conservation officer MMC, romantic suspense, off-limits tension, workplace chemistry… Immediately yes.
CJ is newly sober & starting his first day as a conservation officer when he realizes the girl he hooked up with a few nights earlier is actually his grumpy mentor’s daughter 😬 AND now they’re coworkers too. The mess. The tension. The bad decisions. I ate it up.
🖤 Vibe Check: Small Town Romance • Cowboy MMC • Off Limits • Coworkers • Romantic Suspense • Grumpy Mentor’s Daughter • Secret Relationship • Chemistry for DAYS
The chemistry in this one felt natural from the start & I loved how intense but still emotional it got. Every meetup between them had me kicking my feet a little ngl.
AND can we PLEASE talk about finally getting MMC/FMCs that don’t feel 18, 22, or 24 😭🤣 As an almost-40-year-old reader, this hit SO much better for me. Getting POVs from the FMC’s dad and his own journey honestly ended up being icing on the cake because we also get the daughter’s side reminding us of when we were younger and making all those chaotic choices ourselves 😂 It was such a good balance between mature love, healing, family dynamics, and still keeping that younger emotional chaos energy mixed in. Perfect combo to keep everyone hooked.
Also Laura Horowitz?? Officially one of my favorite FMC narrators ever. I met her at Romantasy Con LA 2026 & she was genuinely the sweetest human. She even signed my daughter’s ear buds case for us 🥹 after this audio I am convinced I’ll honestly 👂🏻 to anything she narrates.🖤
The full cast audio made this feel super immersive too. Definitely one of those audios where you keep saying “one more chapter” and suddenly it’s 2am.😬🤷🏻♀️
Thank you Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.
Masterful. This, the final story in the Love Me Dangerous series, is the best yet - and that is saying something! Firstly, this can be read as a stand-alone. While characters and situations are referenced from other stories, they are done so in such a way as to make it universal.
Linnea returns to Finn River, and as a celebration of her return, her friends take her out. When a sexy cowboy is seen watching her, she ignores him. She is not looking for a relationship, but when her friend dances with his friend, she agrees to dance with him... CJ is also newly returned to the area, new job, new start, and now, hopefully a new relationship. These two are perfect for one another. He is as hot as sin, but also tender and caring, and damaged. Rowdy is Linnea's father and he has been alone a long time. Then Keo, a woman he's previously met, needs help and he steps up. She is divorced, too, but more recently than Rowdy. He impresses her by recalling small details about her life. It doesn't hurt how good he looks in jeans. These two budding relationships provide the reader with some very hot and heavy scenes, but this is not just a love story.
There is a cult in the area, that cuts down trees and kills wildlife, and is suspected of abusing children and women and all types of other wickedness. A young boy has escaped from them, and two young girls are believed to have been abducted by them, but without proof, the authorities are helpless, especially since their local sheriff is in their pocket. The story leads to a thrilling dénouement where lives are put at risk and key characters end up in hospital.
I could barely put it down. Breathtaking and inspiring.
Love Me Wild Love Me Dangerous, Book 7 By: Dakota Davies Narrated by: Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet
This is what keeps me coming back to listen to Dakota Davies. No one writes romantic suspense like her! The final book in her Love Me Dangerous series, I wasn't prepared for it! I know, each book builds a little more on this and I was mind blown. Linnea is back in Finn River ready to start her new job and has moved back in with her dad. Her first night home, she goes out to acclimate herself back to civilization and hooks up with newcomer CJ. His charm won her over immediately, but then she finds out he is working for her dad, Rowdy, hoping to train and take over when he retires. This throws a wrench in their budding relationship for sure, but doesn't stop them from sneaking around. Rowdy has been alone since the death of his wife, and Linnea's sister has been trying to get him to date. Keo has caught his eye, but when he was supposed to call her, he didn't! Will she forgive and forget? And then there is the suspense. The slow build to the darkness that is in Finn River. Each discovery is mind blowing, and it's the kind of feeling that had my heart racing! All the previous characters coming to play in this amazing story, it's like coming home and finally getting the ending I needed!
A multicast narration had my ears smiling! Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet all play their parts with emotions, from passion to fear, anger to bravery and excitement to love. I could not stop listening, and will remember this performance.
I loved this breathtaking, steamy and addictive small-town romantic suspense story! This two for one romance had it all, tension, action, mystery, suspense, passion, and love! We are treated to two couples, CJ and Linnea, and Rowdy and Keo, and I couldn't get enough of either of them! Linnea is home after her long field assignment, and is looking forward to working locally. While out dancing with her friend, she meets CJ and they have instant connection. Unfortunately when they meet again, CJ is starting his own new job, working with her father, Rowdy. Linnea doesn't want her father to know about her growing relationship with CJ, but he is determined to win her over and change her mind. Meanwhile, Rowdy is on a call only to find out it is to help the woman he met awhile ago and never called. He really liked Keo, but didn't know if he was ready for a relationship after his wife passed. Now he doesn't want to let her go. These two wonderful connections are building as the suspense of missing children, poaching, and more is putting all their lives at risk. This is a heart pounding, rollercoaster ride of suspense, desire, determination & love! With all the twists and turns happening, I was on the edge of my seat, completely consumed by this story. The voices of Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet, did an excellent job bringing these compelling characters, and this gripping story to life. They picked the perfect tone for this story and easily delivered all the emotion, and heart pounding suspense, making this story even more captivating.
Dakota Davies ended this series in the best way! I have LOVED and DEVOURED every book in this series and I'm so sad that it's over but she just wrote the perfect ending. I fell in LOVE with these characters and this town. This book was so exciting because we got two love stories in one. Plus the suspense was top notch!
Since this was the last book Dakota wanted to make sure the audiobook was PERFECTION so she did a FULL CAST!! The narrators were Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, M K Blackwood, Stephen Borne, Robert Hatchet and Walker Williams. All these narrators did a phenomenal job telling these characters stories. This was so entertaining and they held my attention the entire time I was listening.
In this book we get Linnea and CJ's story plus Rowdy (Linnea’s dad) and divorcee Keo. I fell in love with these four from the beginning. Both of the couples stories were intertwined with their jobs and the evil that is still lurking in and around the area. I loved how Dakota mixed romance, suspense and danger all in to one book. One minute your laughing, swooning, smiling and then you're on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what's going to happen next.
Get ready for an amazing ride with this book! If you love spice, suspense, LOL moments, swooning, smiling like crazy and being left with a wonderful happily ever after ending then this book is for you! I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook and this entire series!
Thank you Dakota Davies for allowing me to listen to this ALC for my honest opinion.

It is so sad to say goodbye to Finn River, but cannot wait for whereever Dakota will take us to next. The amazing full cast duet audio brought the story and characters to life. I recieved an ALC of this audiobook from Dakota Davies and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is the latest and last story in the series taking place in Finn River. In this one , the author delivers another engaging story. But this time, the story doesn’t only have an element of the danger and suspense of a cult creating havoc and abusing teens in the area. The story also gives the listeners a story about two couples. Couples about with an unexpected history and relationship between them. One belongs to new hire conservation officer C J and his one night stand Linnea, and the other couple are Rowdy and Keo. Making these couples more complex is the fact that Linnea is the daughter of CJ’s new boss, Rowdy and Keo, a well known artist, is the woman Rowdy met recently when a runaway from the cult nearby is found in the barn of her new home. Making this story not only an interesting romance between a young couple as well as a more mature one, but also a story filled with the effects a realistic cult can have on the youth and a community. surrounding. I have to confess , that at first I got confused while listening the first 2 chapters until I realized that there were two separate incidents and two separate couples. Once I straightened that in my head, the flow was easy to follow. All in all, a good conclusion to the series. Kudos to the narrators Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz for bringing this and most of the previous stories in the series, to life. I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Wow! Back in Finn River again Such an amazing end to this series that had us reuniting with some of the characters from previous stories and meeting and connecting with new ones. This story followed two couples and their journeys to finding each other. Linnea and CJ plus Rowdy (Linnea’s dad) and divorcee Keo, I adored getting to know all four of them. Both of the couples stories were intertwined with their jobs and the evil that is still lurking in and around the area. In true Dakota style she has mixed new love, mystery and danger into this story bringing all together to a dramatic and very satisfying ending. Add in some tension plus steamy scenes and I was hooked and loving every minute of this story. Not wanting this series to end but knowing it must I’d be happy to follow Dakota to Maple Canyon where I’d love reading that Luke Ballard finally has his chance of true happiness, after all he the sadness he has gone through. Amazing story and series that I’d thoroughly recommend that you read. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of reading the ebook and also listening to the full cast audiobook that’s been narrated in duet by Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, M K Blackwood, Stephen Borne, Robert Hatchet and Walker Williams. What a stellar cast and an amazing listening experience it was, they did a superb job of capturing the gamut of emotions felt throughout the story.
First of all, narration for this was phenomenal. I'm not familiar with the other names, but Laura Horowitz is always amazing, and all the other narrators were of the same caliber. I love when multiple people narrate.
I went into this not knowing it was NUMBER SEVEN OF A SERIES!! Oopsie. But they're all interconnected standalones, and I don't think reading the others is necessary. I didn't feel lost, anyway.
Love Me Wild pulls together Linnea, her father Rowdy (I ADORE that name), CJ, and Keyo (unsure sp?). Linnea and CJ have *a spicy moment* at a bar, then find out soon after that her dad is his boss. Rowdy met Keyo months ago and never texted her back. Throw all that in a blender with a couple of runaways, a cult, and some outdoorsy stuff, and you get this book. The spice was spicy, the relationships were interesting, and even with a lot of MCs and side characters, everyone had their own voice.
Fair warning though, the final 15% is where EVERYTHING HAPPENS ALL AT ONCE. Not that the story is paced slowly by any means, but like...dang. Prepare for a wild ride.
Definitely recommend for readers of romantic suspense! I would read more by this author, and this book reminded me that I should read more in this genre!
I received an advanced copy of this audiobook for review. All opinions are my own. Thanks to Savage Creek Press for the ALC!
Audiobook Review: Narrated by Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, Walker Williams, Mk Blackwood, Stepen Borne & Robert Hatchet. This was a full cast audio and I loved all different voices as they really brought it all alive & making it real. It Takes a lot of talent to write 2 stories in one and make it work. Dakota has done exactly that and we finally get answers regarding suspicious activities in Finn Rivers. I've said this before, Dakota's world building is so good it feels like you can smell the mountain air and feel the cold too. So this makes listening to her stories surreal. We've met Rowdy and Linnea before and it's Soohie's father and sister. Rowdy and Keo are the older couple and I loved their relationship. It was real and all problems and joys of more mature people was so real. Linnea and CJ’s relationship was just as enjoyable and relatable too. Loved them together. The chemistry and tension was hot. The suspense and realistic danger had my heart beating 100mph haha. I will let you explore and enjoy the end of the series. It was actually perfect. Lots of emotions, twists, suspense, suspicion, secrets, love and the spice was twice as much as hot. Dakota has given us another superb series. I wonder what's next........
Another hit of a romance! A fantastic story line with well developed characters, suspense, and a dual romance. Linnea is moving back home to be close to family and for a new job and she meets CJ out at a restaurant/bar. They hit it off and have instant chemistry but Linnea is nervous about getting into a relationship since her last one didn’t end well. At the same time her dad, Rowdy, meets his match with Koa when he gets a call to her property due to a bear report. That report happens to be a runaway from the cult that he and his police/FBI departments are trying to get evidence to shut down. Another twist to the story line is that CJ is Rowdy’s new work partner. CJ treats Linnea exactly how you would want a good romantic partner to be and Rowdy and Koa have a lovely later in life romance. The addition of the local cult storyline adds great suspense and keeps you waiting to see if they can find what they need to shut it down. The family and friends intermixed add such a great element to the story. I’m so sad to be at the end of this series. There are a few characters that I’m hoping may get their own story some day.
Love Me Wild, an Audiobook by Dakota Davies is the captivating story of CJ and Linnea (Lin). She’s a wildlife biologist in Finn River. He’s the new conservation officer. They have a fantastic time in a local bar, neither knowing who the other was. Then they discover they will now be coworkers.
My oh my!!!! What a finale….to a tremendous series!! These two characters stole my heart!! Their situation is complicated, romantic, and under wraps! There’s also a secondary romance involving Rowdy and Keo…an unexpected bonus! There’s plenty of backstory involving danger and a situation that can’t be overlooked. But, everything comes at a price!!!
This full cast Audiobook was narrated by Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, M.K. Blackwood, Stephen Bourne, Robert Hatchet, and Walker Williams. And wow!!!! What fantastic performances by all!!! With so many characters, it would be easy to get a little mixed up about ‘who’ is speaking. But, not with this phenomenal cast! Everyone of them a powerhouse performance bringing out the emotional nuances of the character they portrayed. Excellent!!!
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Format: Audiobook - Multi-cast duet narration by Laura Horowitz, Gregory Salinas, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Stephen Borne, Robert Hatchet Series / Standalone: Interconnected Standalone (Love Me Dangerous, Book 7) Tropes: Romantic Suspense, 2 in 1 Romance (Four POVs), Boss’s Daughter

Linnea and CJ / Rowdy and Keo
Such a great conclusion to what’s been a fantastic romantic suspense series. This one, somehow, gave us two relationships in one. While the primary focus was on Linnea and CJ, her dad Rowdy gets his own HEA as well. The progression was well done even with the split focus due to the storytelling and plot points. I especially appreciated how relatable these characters were.
This audio production was amazing. The multi-cast in duet really elevated the entertainment factor. Each narrator brought the appropriate emotions out in their performances and it was easy to get lost in the story. I highly encourage this one on audio if you are a listener.
This is a full cast audio with not one but two romances and it's the series finale so we finally get to the heart of what's going on with the cult and corruption in the Finn River area. All the narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life (some of the narrators are reprising roles which is great) and they had me hooked from the start. Plus the story pulled me in immediately with a very hot first meeting for Linnea and CJ, our first couple! Fans self...
You should definitely listen to the previous books in the series first and then dive right into this to get the full pay off of the overarching mystery storyline. I adored the duet style full cast audio. It was so easy to know from voice which character was speaking and with the two romance stories, it really helped to have different narrators for each of our main characters. Overall this was a very satisfying end to the series and I'm sad it's over. At least I can now listen to them all over again back to back!
Dakota Davies gives us another excellent book and audiobook! This final book in the series did not disappoint. It can be read/listened to as a standalone, but you won't regret starting with book one. We get two ... or three (If you count Linnea's friend) ... romances *swoon* with breath holding suspense, loving small town, and a beautiful HEA. I didn't want to put it down. The best way to enjoy a story is by reading and listening to it so there are fewer interruptions.
And the audiobook is amazing! It was narrated in full cast duet style by Laura Horowitz, Walker Williams, MK Blackwood, Gregory Salinas, Stephen Borne, and Robert Hatchet. Some are new to me narrators, and some are favorites of mine. It was perfection! The audiobook rolled like a movie in my head. It was emotional and brought the book to life. Will definitely listen to it again!
Love Me Wild is the final book in the Love Me Dangerous series. It can be read as a standalone in a pinch, but I highly recommend reading the books in order for all the deeds on the side characters and the background on the villains to have kept plaguing the small town of Finn River. I greatly enjoyed the two completely different romances playing out amidst danger and suspense. Linnea and CJ are one of my favourite couples - perfectly imperfect and absolutely made for each other. The story pulled at my heartstrings and had me running the gamut of emotions, with even the happy ending having a slightly bittersweet note. A brilliant finale to a truly special series and I can't wait to find out what's next! I was fortunate to have received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.
What a superb ending to the series.....2 couples to fall in love! Linnea returns home to live with her father, and her one night stand turns out to be none other than her father's new mentee! CJ couldn't believe his luck when he spotted his one night stand, but he hesitated when he saw that her father was his new mentor......
After being alone for so long and potential retirement drawing near, Rowdy was soon smitten with the newcomer to the area. Keo is starting afresh after her kids have left home and moves to a new community to settled down.
These 2 couples have so much to offer each other, but will they be able to overcome any issues that may stand in the way? Wonderful storyline for both couples and great HEA's! I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, and I'm willingly leaving an honest review.
