This is a full novel with no cliffhanger. Born the youngest two children of a drug addicted prostitute and absentee fathers, Nesha and Kwame Duhart are all each other have. Not even their grandmother is willing to step up to the plate and protect them from the poisonous elements of the hood. Regardless, Nesha refuses to allow her baby brother to become a statistic. So at the age of fourteen, she starts turning tricks. She despises it, but food, clothes, and electricity aren’t free.Into Nesha’s complicated life walks Durando Evans. The handsome jock from the suburbs and the girl from the ghetto fall madly in love.Along with Nesha’s new love and climb up the ranks in her hustle comes trouble beyond her worst nightmare. All of her visions of a better life for Kwame now seem like impossible dreams. Has every trick she’s ever turned for her baby brother in the name of love been in vain? Only time will tell. Maybe fate will be kind to Nesha, granting her a second chance in life and at love and happiness. Or she’ll face eternal damnation for her sins. Whichever way the tide rolls, Nesha is woman enough to own all of her misdeeds. And to her haters and the self-righteous who wish to cast stones, she has three simple Judge Me Not.
Moving story.. This was a great read. Neisha showed strong will & determination to care for her younger brother Kwame by any means necessary...She exhibited & maintained maturity at a young age by stepping into the parent role--despite being neglected. I felt a great job was done by the author Honey in keeping the content of the story aligned with the title, as well as providing an interesting storyline. Recommended to all.
I enjoyed this book I say honey my friend you got another banging hit
I recommend this book to all my family an friends that's looking for a good book to read theirs nothing that I dislike about this book I'm sure there is a little of this story that we all have did or will do to make it in life so like honey says judge me not
I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. It really showed me how, not to judge others because of there life mistakes, unless you have walked in there shoes. This book is awesome...once you pick it up and start reading it you will not be able to stop until the end. Believe me, it is well worth the read.
Consider: What would you do to ensure that you and your baby brother survive in the hood? Well Neysha has to do some terrible things as a child to make it. This was an excellent story told by a brilliant writer that knows Macon,GA. Get the book and enjoy the ride.
BRAVO!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 An Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL Story and well-written book!😚😚😚😚 An avid reader of many genre's, I can Truly Appreciate the Blood, Sweat, AND Tears-that an Author experiences, when "attempting" to write a masterpiece & a Masterpiece and Jewel this ('Judge Me Not') was.....Seriously AMAZING!💕💕💕💕 I, at times was Irritated by Quenesha "Nesha" and her decisions or indecisiveness, but overall, she had to "Do What It Do", as she often stated.😏👊 Unsure WHY I am just Now seeing this book, being that it was published awhile back, as well as being Honey's Debut novel, but I Am DEFINITELY Glad that I found it because I really Enjoyed it ALL!👌 Lastly, I was OVERJOYED and "over the moon" with Excitement, that Nesha-FINALLY got her (& Kwame's)........Happily Ever After!💜💜💜💜 A WONDERFUL Read, so Congrats to You, *Author Honey* for bringing forth this Gem!💯
Wow! I'm really disappointed in myself for sleeping on this author. This book was everything! One of the best I've read this year. From the very beginning Nesha's story captivated me and I had no choice but to indulge and devoted of all my time in completely reading from cover to cover. The storyline was gripping and characters were well developed making this book a great reading experience. I was able to get a great visual of the characters from the vivid description given. Overall Honey did a magnificent job with her story. Its obvious that I enjoyed this book.
I loved, loved, loved this book. It grabs you from the first page and doesn't let you go until the very last page. This is without a doubt a 5 star read. This book has everything your looking for in a book, there's the ghettoism, the hardship of being a child of a drug addict, sex, sex and more sex, the unselfish love for a sibling & unconditional love for Neesha. Neenah had a very rough life but she proved she us the definition of a survivor. Out of the 50+ books I've read so far this year this is definitely among my Top 5 reads. Excellent job Honey!!!!!
I loved this book. It's such ashame that she had to go through the things she went through. But Thank God she survive it all... I love the way she took care of her brother. Durando was a great catch it was love at first sight.
