Before thoughts Curious why a group of girls from high school were all enthralled by this book and finally picked up a paperback copy from the works for a fiver. I also picked up The Knight and the Moth. I have become known in various book circles for avoiding this book like the plague. Well guys. I bought it and now I'm starting to read it. I just finished Oxford Blood so please be a four star at least
I haven't read a page-turner like this in a lonnnng time. Perfect amount of tension and yearning, enemies to lovers vibe, with a few plot twists I didn't see coming but were hinted at and woven into the story so subtly it is genius. Highly recommend and going to dive right in to the sequel!
I actually loved this - a good page turner that I haven’t had for a while! After dissecting it a bit at book club it turns out there were a few plot holes/predictable elements but truly these went over my head. Turns out teen fiction is about my level 🤓
It finally happened... my first 5 star review of the year. I was beginning to question myself. Was I being too harsh? Had I grown out of romantasy?
Then I picked up The Crimson Moth and remembered why I loved the genre in the first place. I enjoyed this one from start to finish. It wasnt problematic, it was an easy read, and it delivered exactly what it promised. No surprises, no disappointment, just a genuinely enjoyable romantasy.
got me out of my reading slump! the concept behind the story is great. to me the chemistry between rune and gideon isn’t chemistry-ing to me. like to me i don’t really see gideon’s inner conflict with being a witch hunter vs being i love with rune. i want more about how exhilarating the chase is.
