Alessa Thorn believes that all monsters and villains deserve their happy endings. She prefers her clothes black, eyeliner winged and books full of hot romance. She thinks heroes are boring, so her first series 'The Court of the Underworld' centers around dark gods, monsters and villains from her favorite Greek Myths.
Alessa Thorn’s Mercenaries and Magic series is a joy to read romance with some magic, mobsters and technology sprinkled in. The book is a great read. Spoilers, I thought the magic would be minimal, with the evil villain allegedly dying in book 4…however Easter eggs were left to set up the next installment. Please make book 6 release soon.
Alessa has managed to keep me invested in lovable but ruthless mercenaries for 5 books now. Just when I thought the last book was the peak, she goes and drops this masterpiece! I completely fell in love with their love story. The yearning! THE YEARNING!! I also loved Giana's transformation throughout the book into a solid woman of her own and becoming an equal partner. It was such a beautiful story and that ending had be teary-eyed in the best way!
Been a while since I read this storyline so needed to familiarise myself with the characters. I didn't read the book about Leo and Dante so was a bit on the backfoot but didn't hinder. Look forward to final, currently being serialised on ream. Shouldn't be too long i think.
We met Gianna and Rodrigo in previous installment - Dante and Leo's story. I love how the story flows continuously but also feels like a separate love story.
