This book had the potential to have a higher rating but the FMC had no character development. I’m the beginning you feel for her, understand why she’s stand-offish and are impressed with what she was able to accomplish. Then it’s explained that scents imprint memories, identities, and daily life in the pact and you understand why she was invisible to everyone. Still you sympathize with her because her mate doesn’t recognize her, but once some key details are revealed I expected to see her develop into more than a petty bi**ch. Piper claimed on more than one occasion that she didn’t blame Brad and he had nothing to apologize for but never actually really listened to him or apologized for keeping his son from him for seven years. The chip on her shoulder honestly never fell off, she just became slightly tolerable.
This book was missing so many lines it was hard to read. Bought 2x, deleted and downloaded again nothing fixed it. When you sell a ebook aren't you supposed to get the whole book????
