The dead aren't the most dangerous thing left standing.
Thirty days into the apocalypse, Bri had already lost her best friend, her boyfriend, and every version of the life she'd planned. What she hadn't lost was Shawn — the near-stranger who'd become the only constant in a world that wouldn't stop burning.
Now they've found Haven. Walls. Resources. People still trying. It should feel like relief.
It doesn't.
The longer they stay, the more Bri realizes that survival and safety aren't the same thing — and that the greatest threat isn't the horde outside the gates. It's everything building between her and Shawn that she's not ready to name.
Falling for someone in the apocalypse is easy. Trusting them with the parts of yourself the world hasn't destroyed yet? That's the harder survival.
After 30 Days is Book Two of The First 30 Days series.
This was such a good sequel to the first book! The story is just written so well that you feel the suspense like you are right there with the characters. The zombies actually feel scary. You laugh and cry with them when they experience loss. I love the inclusion of Rex as well and that he never gets really hurt. I can’t wait for the next book!
this was such a good book. cried reuniting with fallon. had to take laps around the house when I thought we were losing shawn. loved the slow burn romance that also doesn’t take up too big of a plot point in a book about zombies. tew good!
I am in love with this authors writing. Her books are what got me into the zombie genre. I can see myself from her characters POV so easily it’s like breathing. I cannot sing the praises of this book and its predecessor enough! Absolutely worth every penny!
