I've reached the end of my journey with Magnus & Co. The tone is starting to scrape on my nerves — sort of tongue-in-cheek, nothing is really serious.

The story, what there was, was obvious. The setting has so much potential, but it's just blasé.

Pretty much the same. The first book was the best and since then it was just okay. An OP MC cultivator in a world that only knows magic. Magnus helps his GF survive her trial in this one and it gets even more complicated. Overall, a good continuation of the series. Pretty good, but not great.

Body Refinement in a Beast Tamer's World 3 by Seth Ring — 4.5⭐

Book three, and Magnus is still going strong! Thankfully, the story is right there with him. This installment picked up the action, and I found myself enjoying the ride even more. It still has all the LitRPG goodness I enjoy, with leveling, progression, and all the fun that comes with watching a character grow stronger.

One of my favorite things about this series is Magnus himself. The guy just doesn't seem to take anything too seriously, and I love that. It gives the story a lighter feel and keeps things from becoming overly serious, even when the action starts heating up. There's also a good amount of humor sprinkled throughout, which makes the whole experience that much more entertaining.

At this point, I'm really enjoying the direction of the series. The progression is fun, the action is picking up, and Magnus continues to be a character I enjoy spending time with. It's exactly the kind of LitRPG that keeps me coming back for more.

Another strong installment, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Magnus gets himself into next. Four books? Not yet. Three down, and I'm still hooked!

Seth Ring's done it again! Best! Book! Evarrr!

There are some books/series that just grab your heart ❤ from the very get go! And this book is one of those!!! I could hardly wait for it's release! In fact I put down the book in front of me, so I could read Body Refinement in a Beast Tamer's World! I love, Love, LOVE the MC, Magnus as he is just AwesomeSauce! So yeah, if you wanna have a really, really good time put down the book you're reading and pick up Seth Ring's newest book or the whole series! And get ready to take out some assassins and also to make sure that nothing happens while Charlotte struggles to pass her trial. As to how many days that will take, no one knows, but the longer the trial lasts the better it is for her! And for Magnus the longer it takes the harder his job becomes! Plus remember he's still dealing with a cracked soul! Yay, Amber!

Definitely one of my favorite series

The author has done it again this is a great addition to his latest series and as always his writing is impeccable and the characters are very, very engaging. I look forward to the next addition to the series. And I really appreciate how he does the crossovers from his other universes without disrupting the current universe that he's in. It's like riding the subway and running into old friends. This book is a great addition to his multiverse!

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be great if Ferdie and Amber met? I'd love to see what mischief they would achieve . . .

Awesome!

This series is quite interesting and I find Magnus to be a lot of fun. This particular entry seemed to fly by as it was quickly in the swing of things. Charlotte's dad is also a really great character that I'm curious if we see more of. There seems to be some intrigue with Mythic ranked mages that I'm sure will be expanded later. All told if you read the first two, you'll enjoy this one as well. There was also a very spicy cameo, which made me happy, even if we didn't get the catchphrase.

Some Spoilers ahead.

I don't know what it is about this series that has me hooked, but I just enjoy the heck out of it. Book 3 was not different. Same hilarious characters. More mysterious events. All with Magnus in the middle of it all, of course. Book 3 storyline focused on Charlotte, rounding out her character more. Tying her to Magnus, in an unexpected way. The rest of the story, had Magnus hitting, running, and being the greatest mage ever. Really, Magnus is the greatest, like he often says. Amber is great also.

As always a fun room with enjoyable characters.

As per the usual, Seth isn't taking things entirely seriously here. There's a lot of fun lightheartedness that doesn't detect from the story and the characters. The plot is slowly thickening, and I really enjoyed the introduction to Charlotte's dad. The mythic Kaelan Flamebrand was a lot of fun! We got a nice little bump in strength for our boy and his lady love, and also some fun leads into the next book or two!

has this become my new favorite series?

Seth continues his tactful writing in this addition of Magness and the barbells lol. Okay no for real. The author has done an amazing job bringing us into the characters minds. The abilities… yeah they continue to grow in awesomeness. Love the magic system and this series. Seth, I could read at least twelve more books for this series! Amazing book!

The story is stalling.
The power scale shifts to fit the plot and contradicts "facts" we were given in book 1.
Powers appear in a deus ex machina way - right when they are needed.
Plot points that have been pretty central to the story and abandoned with a made up explanation.

I'll probably try book 4 but with the creeping lack of focus and the author planning an 18 book slog fest am on the verge of dropping the series.

hey fantastic story.

for me this story continues to impress. I really like the way the characters interact with each other. there is lots of action some humor and a very slow burn Romance, no spice. I like the type of cultivation but mainly with a western flavor to the story. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series hope it comes out soon.

Thanks for STORY

I appreciate that Seth Ring is dedicated to good stories. Many of LitRPG's best books have a tendency to devolve into obsessive technical drival surrounding the main character's ascension. While some of that is fun, the story needs to reign supreme. Seth does a great job with that balance.

Alph!

A great time visiting the Flamebrand tower. I really enjoyed this one, especially the cameo by Alph. The progression and reveal on this was fantastic. I loved the setup for the trial and the day night cycle. Overall, it was a fun read and excited for book 4.

I enjoyed this novel

I liked this novel more than the others in the series and I am not sure why... was it the change in location? "Shrugs". For whatever reason it clicked better with me in a light hearted way.

Very Fun Read

This one sucked me in. A bit of catching up at the beginning and learning more about the world around them. Once we get to the trial things move along quick and suck you right in. Finished this one quick and already looking forward to the next one!

So good. I love Seth Ring and all his books. I will be waiting very impatiently for the rest of the Tower, Iron Tyrant, and this series for the next books to come out. I will be starting Battle Mage Farmer, Soul Caller, and Dreamer's Throne in the near future and I can't wait.

Good skill and relationship building. Plenty of action with a purpose and a few twists thrown in. Not sure if the build up for the next book in the series was enough to keep me interested though. Thanks for the entertainment.
