Emily Watts was just minding her own business, running her website, writing as a fashion critique and was being a good friend to band guitarist Jesse Cinder of Ashes of Brooklyn. When a certain lead singer from another band, Cory Sampson of Blistering Twilight managed to score a dinner date with her, suddenly, famous showbiz insider Wally Hood of Hollywood took a shine on Emily and she became a celebrity overnight., Turned out, C-Samp was a news magnet; rumors about his dating lifestyle swirled across the music world, and Emily further boosted his playboy status.

Too soon, C-Samp had dumped her and Emily turned to her friend Jesse for comfort. Jesse, who had obligingly lent his shoulder for her to lean on, soon became a sensation and thus further brightened his and his band's rather desolate career. Caught in the crossfire of rumors and bashers, Emily's previously silent life became chaotic and her career soon went down the drain.

I thought I had enough of rockstars and fangirl stories. I thought this book was just like the others I've encountered before. But after reading Emily's full story, I was clearly mistaken. I realized Rock Star's Girl is different and had so much more to offer than the others. Emily represents the girls (or ladies) of this generation who are in the shadows, silently screaming for that idol onstage, wishing to be recognized even just once in their lives. And when the spotlight is on them, they realize, not all that sparkles is gold.

I liked Emily, she's naive and unsuspecting, but she knows how to fight when the going gets tough. The boys who vied for her attention, Jesse and Cory are typical celebrities craving for that 15-minutes of fame. They can be perceived as users, but I thought at least they had a heart. Their reasons for fame is understandable but their methods were quite old-fashioned. In the end, Emily Watts had to think about her future and she had my respect when she made the choice and dropped the bomb. This had been quite a fascinating read!

You know how some book titles just sound familiar, well for me I am a book hoarder - at least on my Ipad it appears. For some reason, this title sounded familiar to me and I had actually purchased it back in December 2011 but had still to read it , so this tour gave me the kick in the pants I needed and I read it and I ummed and aahed during this book as it is a struggle to read . In Rock Star's Girl we meet Emily who is a style blogger on a website and is best friends with Jesse Cinder - a lead singer of a band. The pair really should be together as they have amazing chemistry but alot of back and fro's with this couple and you think ok, maybe they are just better off as friends. One night though Emily meets Corey Sampson - another rock star and this time ,he is someone huge and famous and soon Emily's life is caught up in the whirlwind that is paparazzi and publicity and tabloids - all the good and the bad. Rock Star's Girl though will show readers that just as fast as someone can rise to publicity and famous status , that they can drop just as quickly and that nothing ever stays the same in Hollywood and Celebrity Land. Reading this made me wonder, that dating a celebrity especially if you are a nobody to begin with isn't as glamorous as it sounds as one minute you can be hot but the next - when you are no longer in the spotlight - who do you have to turn to ? This was one of those books that you either love or hate and if you love Rock Star romances and the whole Cinderella storyline without the Prince Charming ending, then Rock Star's Girl by Jennifer Farwell is the read for you.

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read a story where the main character is 26 years old.

This book has that young adult feel, but is set around adult characters. They have jobs, responsabilities and their judgement is not clouded by their teenage hormones.

Emily Watts is a lovable character. She's a strong woman who has a head on her shoulder. I felt like she could've been one of my friend.

The love interest is everything you'd want but with a touch of reality, meaning that he is far from perfect. Something that is often missing in books. Aren't we tired of always reading about the perfect guy who says the perfect thing, who does the perfect thing, who looks perfect... Thank you J.F. Kristin for that touch of reality.

The ending surprised me, but I liked it. It's not what you'd usually expect and it was refreshing.

I'll write a longer review later, but it's worth a read. If only for it's entertainement value. Plus, if you're like me and you love storylines that involve Hollywood, celebrities, rock stars and actors you'll enjoy this book.

Best of all, it's only 0.99$ !!!

I have to admit, I didn't expect much from this book going into it. I got it because it came up in my recommendations on Amazon and it sounded like a fun read for a vacation, plus it was super cheap.

As it turns out, I was in for a bit of a surprise. I actually really liked the book! It was entertaining, engaging, and funny. The characters were well-rounded.

Though, I was also a bit surprised - considering that this is a book about a girl who dates rock stars - that there was no "sex, drugs, and rock & roll" anywhere in this book. I don't remember even seeing any swearing. Not that that's a bad thing, really, just surprising given the rock star culture we're used to hearing about.

So, there were some things I really liked about this story. I loved the idea, plot, the sorta triangle, the dialogue, the headlines.

But there was way more I found disappointing. For one, it contained way way way too many boring, tedious details. More action! More romance! Second, I never really felt like Emily had real feelings for Jesse or Cory either. And while I felt her angst, I wanted more romance. And the ending? Unsatisfying.

Rock Star's Girl is an entertaining tale that follows twenty-six year old fashion website owner and freelance writer Emily Watts as she gets caught up in a love triangle with two hot rock stars.

Emily has been friends with struggling musician Jesse Cinder for four years, somewhere along the way she has developed feelings for Jesse, but he wants to only be friends. While attending Jesse's band Ashes of Brooklyn's show at a local club, Emily meets Cory Sampson, the lead singer for the up-and-coming rock band Blistering Twilight. Emily's life turns upside when a Hollywood entertainment / celebrity gossip website starts posting articles about Emily and Cory activities. Emily suddenly becomes a tabloid sensation and her fashion website's popularity explodes, and she finds herself having feeling for both guys, but are Jesse and Cory's feelings for Emily true, or is their attraction to her for purely personal gains? So what's a girl to do when she is faced with unexpected media notoriety and two rock stars vying for her attention?

Rock Star's Girl is an enjoyable chick lit tale set in Los Angeles that has enough drama, romance, and trials and tribulations, that easily keeps the reader turning the pages to see what would happen next to Emily and her rock star love interests. I really enjoyed the pop culture references to the LA music scene, and the celebrity gossip and fashion internet industry. What I enjoyed the most was the witty dialogue, Emily's snarky sarcasm kept me in stitches, while the drama surrounding her relationships with Jesse and Cory took me on a roller coaster ride. I have to admit that I developed a love/hate sentiment towards both guys, but I was definitely team Emily as she learned to handle the pressures of the unexpected media frenzy and notoriety, and strived to pick up the pieces of her life. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I really liked how Emily's best friend Shelby had her back, that's what true best friends are all about!

Rock Star's Girl is a lighthearted and amusing chick lit tale that would make the perfect summer beach read!

Emily Watts is an over-worked yet still struggling writer who tries to keep a social life with her workaholic schedule. While taking a break from her fashion website, Emily attends a concert for her friend Jesse Cinder, a struggling musician searching for his big break. Emily has been friends with Jesse for years, but is wondering if maybe they shouldn’t be more. When Jesse turns her down, Emily feels humiliated- but quickly rebounds when she meets Cory Sampson, who is the lead singer in a popular band. Before Emily knows what is happening, her name and photo is being splashed along all the gossip magazines, and what she is wearing and all aspects of her life are being dissected and criticized on celebrity websites. But Emily doesn’t want to be famous, doesn’t want her life being talked about on the news. She just wants to meet The One and be a writer. Can she handle the pressures of dating a celebrity? And how will she handle Jesse when he suddenly wants her- as more than a friend?

Rock Star’s Girl is an addicting story about the pitfalls that come with being a celebrity. I loved the angle of Emily- a normal girl who simply isn’t interested in all the brouhaha of being famous. She has her morals, her friends, and a hopefully thriving career in something she is interested in. This book read like a gossip magazine, where I had to keep flipping the pages to find out what was truth and what was exaggerated. There were plenty of twists that kept me interested, and I never knew which way the story was going to end. I have to say, the ending is a great one. No spoilers- but I enjoy reading a not so typical ending every once in awhile. It has kept me guessing what Emily is up to. A fun story that chick lit fans will want to check out.

I really enjoyed this story about a "normal" girl whose life turns completely upside down when she starts dating a celebrity and, according to the gossip columns, two celebrities! The main character, Emily, was extremely easy to like as she was very down-to-earth and stable and not someone you tend to see on the cover of gossip magazines. I liked that she was vulnerable enough to let herself fall for the wrong guys and become distracted from her work yet, strong enough to know when it was time to move on. (Although some of the credit for that should go to her BFF Shelby.) I also completely related to her relationships with both love interests. I've wasted more time than I like to admit on charming guys like Jesse who don't want to commit to you but never completely shut the door and therefore keep you hanging on the "maybe". And I've also dated guys like Cory who seem too good to be true and, just like Cory, turn out to be not so good!

All in all, a very entertaining read. The one question I had throughout the book was how far Emily and Jesse's "friendship" had gone in the past. Was it strictly friendship or had they been "friends with benefits" at one point? The book was very PG and so I had no idea how physical any of the relationships ever got. It did not distract from my enjoyment of the story but I did wonder!

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Emily Watts is a Blogger who attends her friend Jesse's Rock Show and meets another musician Cory and feels a connection. She then begins to date him and then everything goes horribly wrong. Who is using her? Is it her long time friend using her as a stepping stone? Or could it be Cory the man she is having feelings for and hope for something more? Emily finds out that being a pawn in a Hollywood Media blitz isn't all it's cracked up to be, will she survive being the Rock Star's Girl?
I loved this book and story. It was in no way predictable and it kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next to Emily. She is a strong woman and she held her own. I really liked how Jennifer Farwell made the reader want to turn the page to find out what's next. Great story and I can't wait to read the next book in the Series.
Rock Star’s Girl by J.F. Kristin is set in Los Angeles and shows how the paparazzi can ruin the lives of not only the rich and famous, but those they interact with. This has a definite Chick-Lit vibe to it with a subtle romantic undertone and an amazingly written heroine. Since it was free on Kindle and the blurb really caught my interest, I downloaded it. And I’m so glad I did!
I had some doubts about this one because I'll be honest, most of the self-published books that are free for a limited time on Kindle are horrible. That's not the case with Rock Star's Girl. I really enjoyed this Tinseltown book about Emily, a blogger and freelance writer who gets caught in the middle of an upcoming rock star’s manipulations of the paparazzi to make him look good.
Poor Emily doesn't want to be noticed that way or be the next It Girl. She wants to stay under the radar but can't because after a few dates with Cory the rock star, who at first treats her like a princess to her delight, she's under the limelight and it's not all rosy for her. Then there's Jesse, her friend of four years who she has feelings for and would like to be in a relationship with, but he gives her major mixed signals. Jesse is also like Cory and trying to navigate the rock scene. He doesn’t mind using Emily for support and emotional stability. He pretty much strings Emily along, knowing she wants more from him.
I found J.F’s writing engaging and her portrayal of Emily wonderful. I'd love to see a sequel or perhaps a series featuring more of Emily and how she deals with the L.A. celebrity scene. I also would like to see Jesse again, even though he doesn't seem to be the best person for Emily to have in her life. I didn't think he was that bad, but more clueless if anything. The big cruel thing he’s responsible for is expecting her to be there for him at a drop of a hat. As for Cory, Emily’s wannabe Prince Charming, he’s a sneaky rat fink and feels he deserves all the accolades and admiration, including romancing Emily even if he has a few ex-girlfriends on the side he can turn to. Cory is an entitled SOB when it comes down to it. I was more a fan of Jesse than Cory and I was hoping Jesse would be man enough to admit his faults and beg Emily’s forgiveness. But then again I was thrilled when Emily decided both these men weren’t worth the trouble. Rock Star’s Girl is a tale of empowerment and that's shown perfectly with Emily.
Rock Star’s Girl is one self-published book I would recommend to those who enjoy chick-lit, the celebrity scene and a female protagonist we can all sympathize with who doesn’t need a man to make her feel worthwhile.
This was free, but is now $2.99 at Amazon and I feel is priced accordingly.
Emily Watts is the epitome of a RockStar groupie, but not by choice, her friend, Jesse who also plays into some serious confusion on his part as to if they are just friends, or if they are more then that. She's a low-key runner of a fashion website as long as writing editorals for a magazine. But overnight, with the help of lead singer Cory Sampson. She becomes a tabloid sensation and her website and column explode with popularity. Is dating a superstar all its cracked up to be? or will the headlines ruin not only her relationships but her career as well.
I loved the synopsis of this book and knew the first time that I read this, that I needed to read this book. I've always loved music, and has a crush or two on some rockstars of my own haha. I loved the characters, and I couldn't put this book down because I kept wanting to know what would happen next in Emily's life, and like a true chick-lit book, disaster after disaster ensues in Emilys life, as bits and pieces come tumbling down all around her.
A couple things about this book stood in the way for me to give it 5 stars, first is the cover!! while it is very beautiful it looks like she'd fall for a country star not a rockstar, and I wish it had more of a rockstar appeal. Also, why couldn't either Jesse or Cory be a good guy in the end?? I felt like the end left me sad and with so many questions. It lead you to believe that she found a new guy and that she was happy, but the whole book I was rooting for either Jesse or Cory, and was left with nothing.
As always though this is just my opinion and none of this was a deal-breaker for me. I by no means think a 3.5 star rating is a bad thing at all, and when it comes by my star ratings that means a book I really enjoyed but had some elements that didn't do it for me. I think J.F. Kristin is a fabulous writer, and in no way think that what was missing was good writing, because she had me captivated with her words from the first page. If you like chick-lit and rockstars definetly pick this book up!!
Emily Watts, 26 year old freelance writer and fashion website owner, just wants to have a fun night out at her friend Jesse’s concert. Instead, she meets rockstar, Cory Sampson, and after agreeing to go out on a date with him, makes entertainment headlines. Soon, Emily is famous, just for dating a rockstar, and does not enjoy being thrust into the limelight. When rumors erupt that she’s been cheating on Cory with Jesse, she’s not ready to face the kickback from Cory’s fans, who publicly call her out, call her names, and grow to hate her. Now her career is going down the drain as fast as her love life. Is either man right for her, or is she being used as a career booster for one or both of the guys? Can she save her own career and her reputation before it’s too late?
Insider stories are always fun and interesting to me. This story takes place in the L.A. music scene and I enjoyed the inside glimpse not only of the music scene, but also that of celebrity life and tabloid entertainment writing. Emily lives in a dog eat dog world where people will do anything to get the story or to find fame and things get vicious fast. I liked Emily’s character a lot, and how she was an independent, self-made woman who followed her dream. She was shocked by her sudden fame and didn’t know how to deal with it, or the pitfalls of her relationship(s). I particularly liked the articles that appeared throughout the book with gossip about Emily and her romance. The love triangle was interesting as well and I honestly didn’t know who she would or would not end up with. Jesse was a bit hard to like, but Cory was more likable, though it was hard to know whether or not he was genuine. In Emily’s Hollywood world, it’s hard to tell the fake from the real. All in all, I thought this was a pretty fun read. While it isn’t incredibly thought provoking, it’s a good choice for a light, escapist read. It moved a little slowly for me, but I liked the story and would definitely read something from J.F. Kristin again.
Do you remember being a young girl and having that rock star girl fantasy? I do! It was Rick Springfield and I didn’t care if he was 20+ years older than me, I wanted to marry him. When Samantha from Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours asked me if I wanted to review JF Kristin’s book “Rock Star’s Girl”, I was hooked the second I read the synopsis.
I loved this book. I found it so fascinating for the little glimpse into the life of a rock star's “girlfriend”. In what appears to be such a superficial world, I loved that Emily kept her head together the best she could. And I love that she had that best friend, Shelby, to help keep her feet planted on the ground. I’m not a big fan of the tabloids (refuse to read them) or gossip sites (TMZ gets my attention every once in a while) because of the very reason they are portrayed in this book – they are there to cause drama.
The character of Emily was absolutely charming. She is your every girl that gets herself mixed up in the spotlight of fame and has to find herself while allowing herself to fall in love as well. The ending of "Rock Star’s Girl" was not typical, which I think worked perfectly for the situation that Emily found herself in. The supporting characters were interesting and tied the story together perfectly. I went back and forth over Jesse and Cory. Both had high and low points, too bad their desire for fame interfered with them honestly being in love with Emily. (Or allowing themselves to show how in love with Emily they were without needing to capitalize on publicity, as the case may be.)
I can’t recommend this book enough. If you are a fan of the music scene or ever just wondered “what if” about a rock star, this is going to grab your attention and hold it from page one through the end. The tale that JF Kristin wove is compelling, well thought out, and just when you think you know where Emily is going, you get hit with a twist.
Emily Watts is a workaholic fashion blogger living in Hollywood, California. Between keeping her business (online fashion-snark blog, Zeeked) up and running and the freelance writing work she does to keep herself afloat financially, she doesn’t have much time for relationships, or keeping up with who’s who in Hollywood.
I have to admit, I expected this book to be a typical chick-lit rendition of nice, normal girl finds rock star boyfriend, gets famous, a few random things happen, but ultimately everyone lives happily ever after, especially nice girl and hot rock star squeeze. However, without giving too much away, this wasn’t quite that, and I was glad for he refreshing change.
I enjoyed Emily as a character – she was very normal, and it made it possible to relate to her. She also reacted to things in a believable way, and it was nice that she wasn’t so fiercely independent that she couldn’t rely on best friend Shelby for support. This all made her very easy to get behind and start supporting, right from the beginning of the story. I also liked the way that Jesse was written – the way he is portrayed to the reader means that as Emily’s opinions of him change, the reader gradually sees it too, meaning it’s really easy to see how Emily is thinking.
The storyline moved along at a comfortable pace, and the writing style meant it was easy to read, but kept the reader interested. This book is a nice slice of escapism to the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood hills, with enough scandal and likeable characters to keep the reader wanting more.
I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a holiday read, or just something to snuggle up with and relax now that it’s coming to colder weather. I really did enjoy this.
Rock Star’s Girl
I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Emily Watts is a girl living in Hollywood, California. She is a successful fashion blogger running a website she started in college named Zeeked. She also happens to be friends with up and coming rock star, Jesse Cinder. Emily has always had feelings for Jesse, but he has never returned them the way she has hoped.
While attending one of his shows, she meets one of the most famous musicians on the market, Cory Sampson. They hit it off right away, but Emily is guarded since she knows he has recently broken up with his girlfriend of five years. She takes a chance and goes out on a few dates with him. Little does she know, she is subjecting herself to the scary side of Hollywood - Tabloids, paparazzi, and headlines on one of the most famous Hollywood gossip sites.
As Emily’s life becomes public, she learns that every thing she says and does can be taken to work against her. Jesse confesses that he wants more from their relationship, while Cory seems to be reconnecting with his ex. When Emily learns that both rock stars may be using her to gain a social advantage, she must learn to stand on her own and take back her life.
This book fell short for me. I am not interested in the lives of famous people or reading gossip columns. Emily’s character was hard for me to get to know as a reader and her relationships with Jesse and Cory lacked chemistry. The plot was so simple that I kept waiting for something to rock the story or make it more interesting. There were a few twists and turns, but not enough to make the read worth-while. Although the book wasn’t awful, I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
Emily spends her time maintaining her fashion blog and enough freelance work to just make the ends meet. But, she takes one evening off to see her friend Jesse's band preform. At the event she meets Cory Sampson the lead singer in another band, which has already had at least one hit and potential for more.
Suddenly, Emily finds herself half of the new it couple on all the celebrity blogs and gossip sites. That is not only effecting her personal life, but her professional life, as advertisers and freelance gigs come and go with her popularity, but it is changing her relationships too. With Jesse and Cory both wanting something or not sure if they want something from her new found popularity. Emily has to make a choice for herself and figure out how she is going to precede with her life and career.
I enjoyed this book and would defiantly give it three stars. But, there was nothing there to push it over the edge to an amazing book for me. I would recommend it was a nice read and I liked the insight it gave into blogging/celebrity gossip, but it wasn't deep and didn't deal with issues that many can relate to. Overall, I do have to say that you should read it if you are look for a nice read that keeps your attention, but you don't have to think about.
I forgot to add the review for this book.
I actually enjoyed this book through most of it. Then the end happened. That wasn't an ending to a book, it was barely a beginning. You go through this book with the heroine and you learn all the good, the bad, and the really ugly about the 2 men in her life. I rooted for one of those men to man up and get his crap together. Then the ending occurred.
I may be bitter about the ending and it may be clouding my judgment about this review, but I just couldn't. I hate books that do this to you. If you are giving me a story with a twisted love triangle going on, then don't give the audience a non-ending. I'm unsure if this is the first book and maybe there is more coming and then I can change my rant, but so far this looks like it is all that is coming and I'm just really disappointed with how it all worked out.
God I hate the paparazzi and tabloids cause they lie and stretch the truth all the time about celebrities lives how do they even live like that. Plus to get paid money for that crap yuck but us as the normal and not popular eat it up why? Well it was a good but up until the last few chapters that why I gave it only one star. Yea I figure Emily was not going to end up with either guy but to sell out and start writing for the tabloid guy Wally Hood disgusting why would she do that he ruined her life with his stories yes he wrote a retraction but still come on she used the situation to her advantage in the end like anyone else so she becomes less of a victim by teaming up with one of the enemies by writing for him. WTF about the epilogue little tease that she has a new beau and leave us wondering who she with now I don't know how old the Wally Hood guy was but is seems like he could be an option and that seems gross if it some ordinary guy not a celeb then that's great but I guess we just have to use our own imagination since I don't know if you plan any kind of sequel or anything.
First off I want to say my rating has nothing to do with how well this book is written. It was a pretty good story except I'm a love story kind of a girl. And this was most definitely NOT a love story. This was about a girl who fell for two rock stars and realized that in the entertainment industry publicity is publicity good or bad, and when you are a star or a rising star you WANT either kind even if you have to use the people close to you to get it. Unfortunately Emily had to learn the hard way who could be trusted and who her real friends were.
I just didn't care for it. Like I said, it was a good story about a girl taking control of her life and weeding out the toxic relationships, but I love a love story. This wasn't it.
This book reminded me a lot of Indigo Blues. So if you liked that book, then you will probably enjoy this book too.
Finished Rock Star's Girl! <3 it! I hated the ending though because she didn't end up with either Rock Stars. I wish I had a best friend like hers. I thought Cory was the one for her but then she had to go ruin it by telling the tabloids that she didn't love either of them. Jesse was a good friend to her but she didn't realize it. She just thought that they were trying to get more famous when they were really trying to be there for her. And when Cory asked if she would take him back and then afterwards broke his heart I didn't really like Emily anymore. She should've thought more about how Cory loved her. I didn't like Bailey, Jesse's manager, that much. I couldn't believe he would do that to his own client and friend just to get known. I liked the beginning much better when she was dating Cory. But still this book had a twist and I loved it. :)
Fun, relatable and surprising. I don’t read chick lit often, so to capture my interest in this genre I have to be pulled in right away. Finally, we have a female protagonist (Emily Watts) who isn’t lost, ditzy or dying for a man. Emily Watts is who I want to meet when I read chick lit – she’s smart, focused and sarcastically funny.
The pop culture references incorporated by the author make the reading fun, relevant and light. It’s visually very descriptive. I felt like I was following along the way in LA street by street and venue by venue. There are some great plot twists that I didn’t see coming and felt totally satisfied at the end of this read.
I highly recommend this book for those who like chick lit and those who read it on the fringe. It’s like a little candy for the brain.
I received this book free through Goodreads First Reads. It was my first one ever and was thrilled to receive it. It came with a nice little handwritten note by the author and was in trade size, which I like.
Rock Star's Girl is not the type of book that I normally read but was still pretty good. Interesting story line and quick moving, I'd say this would be a great book for the beach. Occasionally I would have liked the main character, Emily, to be a little more forward with some of the jerkier people but in the end she won out. The only minor complaint I would have is with the cover art not being very interesting or original but you know what they say about not judging a book by its cover.
Overall, I enjoyed reading it and will pass it on to someone else to read.
"Totally not what I thought it would be." - This statement sums up this book perfectly. Emily was a strong character who held it down and did not succumb to stressors caused by the men in her life. I definitely dig that; however for me, it wasn't exactly clear that the men in her life were playin' her. While they weren't as innocent as her, it definitely seemed that they were also victims to the series if unfortunate events. Despite this, I appreciate the boundaries Emily drew with even her suspicions! Most women could take a page out of her book!
Another concern I had is that the middle drug on for so long - I was dyin' for the conclusion to get along there towards the 80% mark.
Other than those issues, this was an easy, cute and quick read.
This was a free download.
I'm a total sucker for rocker romances and this one promised me a rock star and the LA music scene. Sadly, it was light on both. The music scene was definitely more detailed than the rock star aspects, but I wanted more. Corey seemed more like a celebrity, such as a movie star, than a rock star.
The premise is cute, but as the plot unraveled I found myself more disbelieving than anything else. It was just too far-fetched for me to buy. Especially the way things were cleaned up in the end.
I enjoyed the writing and the author's voice. I fell right into the story. I may try another book by this author, but I'm not sure I'm interested in continuing this series.
