This was a huge disappointment for me. The friends to lovers setup had so much potential, especially with the idea of two people finally crossing that line and realizing their feelings, but the execution felt messy from the start. Instead of focusing on development, the book felt more like a setup to introduce a sex club, which made the story feel disconnected. While the pacing was okay, the plot felt disjointed, and the ending didn’t really pull things together. I’m assuming there’s going to be a part two, so I’m curious to see whether the author can redeem the story moving forward.

No HEA!!
I HATE unfinished books with no notification! I feel like I was hoodwinked and gave hours of my time to something unresolved. To all authors, please let us know if the book is not finished and give us the option of reading now or waiting for the whole story.
Overall, the book was good except for the waste of my time…..and I feel a little salty about it.

I honestly could’ve did without Jamari and Nariyah’s story, not bc they’re corny, but simply bc the sex fest was too much for me. It was rushed with no build up. There was no slow burn leading to anything with these 2 then the end just stop at “That includes you, too, best friend.” that was not the type of story he deserved considering what his parents, uncle and brother got.

It ended before it really got started
This felt less like a complete story and more like the first few chapters of one.
Jamari and Nariyah go from longtime best friends to crossing the line in what feels like five business days, all while Jamari is still entertaining basically every woman with a pulse. The story clearly wants us to believe Nariyah is different, but it never really slows down long enough to make that believable.
The pacing is rushed, the emotional development is thin, and just when it feels like the real story is about to start… it ends.
The potential was there. The execution just was not.

SOMETIMES FRIENDSHIP MEANS MORE!!!
I loved the relationship between Jamari & Nariyah. They had that best friend vibe and relationship that no one could really accept especially those feeling Jamari. You know sexually frustrated is a real thing and when Nariyah expresses and acts on it, that’s when things changed. The experience and the blurred lines that was provided was like no other. Listen the chemistry between these two was top tier, however, I completely understood how important their friendship was. I also understand the attraction as it shows especially at the end but sometimes taking that next level can damage a good thing. Something’s are just not meant.
This was a nice and straight to the point read. Nek shows that even with the feelings being there, the friendship means so much more. Would I have loved more, definitely but the outcome may not be what I want to expect so leaving it as is, is alright with me lol.

I love him more than I loved JJ and that was ALOT!
Now, what was written- absolutely amazing good time!
I had no clue how this story was going to go but once we arrived at the destination- I was throughly pleased.
I feel we all need "Best Friends" like this, LOL!
Perfect mix between story and spice.
Although the story is complete as is- I need more.
I absolutely recommend this read.
It is a standalone but reading the others in the series will help add some lowkey background to how these men move.

Nek Mills is one of my favorite authors, so of course I had to pick this one up 😌
Since it’s a novella, it’s a super quick read, but whew… the spice definitely showed up and did its job 😉🔥
The chemistry and banter between the main characters were such a vibe. I was honestly having a good time right along with them.
My only complaint? The ending. I wanted moreeee 😭 I wasn’t ready to leave these characters yet. I really think this story could’ve been longer because I would’ve happily stayed in this world a little more.
Overall, definitely worth the read if you’re looking for a quick, spicy read with fun chemistry and banter.

This is a standalone and erotica. I'm still not even sure how it's related to the rest of the series. The ending threw me off a little. I how to remind myself there is no HEA because it's... (see the first sentence) 😄😄.

Mari met his match with Chipmunk! The way he snatched chipmunk out the club before anyone else could was definitely McKnight behavior. Go into this book remembering it is a erotic novella....very short and not much if any substance. Where the first 3 books were complete stories with, character development, plot and spice. This one is very different and honestly not necessary to read if erotic novellas aren't your thing. I didn't like the ending but it was a quick easy read. I gave this book a 2.5 ⭐️
