This was a huge disappointment for me. The friends to lovers setup had so much potential, especially with the idea of two people finally crossing that line and realizing their feelings, but the execution felt messy from the start. Instead of focusing on development, the book felt more like a setup to introduce a sex club, which made the story feel disconnected. While the pacing was okay, the plot felt disjointed, and the ending didn’t really pull things together. I’m assuming there’s going to be a part two, so I’m curious to see whether the author can redeem the story moving forward.

First off- I want more!

I love him more than I loved JJ and that was ALOT!

Now, what was written- absolutely amazing good time!

I had no clue how this story was going to go but once we arrived at the destination- I was throughly pleased.

I feel we all need "Best Friends" like this, LOL!

Perfect mix between story and spice.

Although the story is complete as is- I need more.

I absolutely recommend this read.

It is a standalone but reading the others in the series will help add some lowkey background to how these men move.

Who wouldn’t want a best friend like J. McKnight shattttttt. The things they introduced each other to and they way they were open and willing to try over a weekend would make your head spin! The blurred homie, lover, friend lines, fire, passion, steam, and BDE was so strong makes you want to go find your own Desire Bay 😂😂😂 He protected, respected, cherished, and loved her like only he could. Nek Mills is one of my favorite authors, so of course I had to pick this one up 😌

Since it’s a novella, it’s a super quick read, but whew… the spice definitely showed up and did its job 😉🔥

The chemistry and banter between the main characters were such a vibe. I was honestly having a good time right along with them.

My only complaint? The ending. I wanted moreeee 😭 I wasn’t ready to leave these characters yet. I really think this story could’ve been longer because I would’ve happily stayed in this world a little more.

Overall, definitely worth the read if you’re looking for a quick, spicy read with fun chemistry and banter.

This is a standalone and erotica. I'm still not even sure how it's related to the rest of the series. The ending threw me off a little. I how to remind myself there is no HEA because it's... (see the first sentence) 😄😄.

No maniacs here. Because he was protective over her💁🏾‍♀️. He definitely did not give crazy or obsessed over her💁🏾‍♀️. Just a couple of twenty somethings living their best lives and exploring their wildest fantasies.

Definite potential for a sequel, where these besties pursue an actual relationship.

Freaky Frogs! Lol

I didn't realize this was an erotica. I just clicked it and started reading. This is spicy, but not vulgar. Just 2 BFF who cross the hell out of that line, and are clearly about to be together to ruin it forever. No real character development of side characters this is just 2 freak frogs, going to a sex resort and going at it with another couple and then return home.

Nariyah had to show that she could be wild and out there and needed a moment to live a little. Jamari knew all along that he was down with whatever when it came to Nariyah and would only let her go so far. The weekend in Desire Bay was one they both would remember with what went down between them, Peach, Lamar, and Kitty. Would love to read an update with Nariyah and Jamari because there is something more than friendship between them after that wild and freaky weekend.

I HATE unfinished books with no notification! I feel like I was hoodwinked and gave hours of my time to something unresolved. To all authors, please let us know if the book is not finished and give us the option of reading now or waiting for the whole story.

Overall, the book was good except for the waste of my time…..and I feel a little salty about it.

The unhinged character traits continue. This book is quick and spicy. I mean Spicy Spicy. This is the story of the all grown up half double. Twin Jasari. Nek sure knows how to keep you stuck. I honestly could’ve did without Jamari and Nariyah’s story, not bc they’re corny, but simply bc the sex fest was too much for me. It was rushed with no build up. There was no slow burn leading to anything with these 2 then the end just stop at “That includes you, too, best friend.” that was not the type of story he deserved considering what his parents, uncle and brother got.

Mari met his match with Chipmunk! The way he snatched chipmunk out the club before anyone else could was definitely McKnight behavior. He thought he was going to put Chipmunk through the matter and she reversed uno on his butt. I foresee a bunch of Maniac activity in the future!
