Where Death Blooms

Rate this book
Where Death Blooms is a cozy fantasy romance about dangerous magic, found family, and the kind of love that takes root in all the wrong places.

Remington has, on occasion, been described as something of a disaster. Which is, to be fair, not entirely inaccurate. Although he would argue,—at length and with considerable footnotes—that things generally work out in the end. And isn't that all that really matters? Particularly when one has a rather troublesome grandmother problem best handled efficiently, with minimal reflection, and ideally before she becomes something of a nightmare.

Lyra has learned to manage expectations, her own more than anyone else’s. She keeps her herbs alphabetized, her journal meticulously annotated, and her gloves on. The world has made it abundantly clear it has little use for a cursed woman with weeds in her pocket. She prefers the plants anyway. They're more reliable than people, and far less likely to suffer for knowing her.

Somewhere amid increasingly questionable decisions, they find themselves in a world where everything has an appetite, time has opinions, and love is spectacularly inconvenient.
