Rose and Russell have been in a situationship for two years but, he’s growing tired of her refusal to commit to him. He’s ready to put a ring on it and change her last name to Rush but, she flat out refuses to move past them being FWB. Frustrated, Russell gives Rose an ultimatum. Lets make this a real committed relationship or we can go our separate ways. And, to his surprise, Rose chooses the latter and breaks poor Russ’ heart. But, what he doesn’t know is Rose is keeping a secret that’s preventing her from fully committing to him. When she finally tells her truth, will Russ still look at her the same?!!! Russ was everything. I love that his feelings didn’t change one bit for Rose when she finally came clean about the secret she was keeping from him. If anything, he fell more in love with her. And, Lil Ms. Oaklyn stole the show and my heart. I just love how easily she fit in with the Rush family. I really enjoyed Russell and Rose’s story. A good time is always had we pull up to Onyx City.

Mrs. Shanee, you did it again, hit it smack in the middle 🎯. Russ and Rose was meant for each other. Russ had the mentality that if he couldn't have her no one else will. He stood on business about it. He made all of her "little dates" not to reappear in her life. Rose knew they were each other soulmate she just had one major hiccup. Her mentality lead her to believe that Russ wouldn't want her as his wife and the mother of his kids. It was farther from the truth, he wanted all of her. She wasn't less of a woman because of her condition. I was low key hoping that she miraculous got pregnant or maybe they use a surrogate. However, little miss ma'am (Oaklyn) filled a gap that neither realized was open. She came and stole both of their hearts. It helped tremendously that Bliss was the bestie. Speaking of Bliss she was a firecracker and a boss baby. I loved that for her. She is going to be a force to be reckon with when she gets older. Russ and Rose has a lifetime of romance to come.

Miss Rose is a hard nut to crack. She cares deeply for Russ but refuses to commit to anything more than a friends with benefits situation. Russ goes along with it, hoping that she will change her mind with time. However, after two years, Russ is ready to seal the deal, giving Rose an ultimatum about their situationship. He was crushed when she walked away. 💔 Fast forward a year where Russ and Rose see each other at a function, with dates in tow. 👀 They both try to act unbothered but quickly learn that their feelings are still burning hot.
Rose girl, what the hell is bothering you that you keep pushing this good man away? 😤 When she finally tells him, I could understand her reluctance, but this is Russ! Rose and russ have history, and that man never wanted to let her go .
The prologue for Rose was a bit sad she had deep feelings, yes, but something was holding her back like she doesnt think she could give him what he wanted with her . I got a feeling it has done with creating family .
Russ prologue had me a bit emotional cause he was laying it out, but he just didn't know why she was pulling away, not the real reason.
A year later, she was brave bringing another man around, especially around russ, and that man still wants her, and everybody else knows it too.
Man i was feeling mixed feelings i understand why rose did what she did even without knowing her full truth of it all but I also felt bad for russ cause she been one he wanted and time didnt change that .
[I’d disappointed numerous women in the past year because my dick wouldn’t respond to anyone but Rose.]
Not going lie, I felt bad for Gayle she wasnt dumb and she could see what they had she wasnt bitter she just didn't wanna be used to make Rose jealous she a good woman.
When rose talked about losing her folks fuck my heart is a mess cause at 8 years old that such a painful thing to happen to a child and now it was just her and her sisters thank goodness rue was old enough to take care of them so they wouldn't be separated. Rocky is Rue's husband, and he made sure to have room for his family and hers .
Ugh men like preston pretend be nice guy but when he dont get what he wants or feels some type of way the way he broke into her apartment and saying he going take it from her ,that shit had me fucking angry no woman or anyone they dont deserve to be attacked or assaulted .
I was not ready for chapter 4 cause knowing what happened to his mom well that broke me ,
Then, losing a sibling 😭😭.
The bond between the sisters is beautiful, and yes, I cried cause I always wanted a bond like that. It's just truly beautiful to read.
When russ said this, i was goner. I was crying like damn he is the most amazing man , he wanted her no matter what . [ “You are my family, baby. If I can’t have you, nothing else matters. If we decide to have a family, there are other ways to make that happen. I don’t know . . . Maybe we were meant to share our love with kids who have no one to love them, but I do know this: If I had to choose between not having a family with you or having a family with someone else, I’m choosing you all day, Rose.” ]
Chapter 10, yes!!!! Russ, i love him the way he made sure Preston pays with Busta's help . That man treats her so good just like she deserves. Oaklyn, that sweet girl has my heart .

Russ was the embodiment of unconditional love when it came to his Rose. There was nothing she could do or say that would stop him from loving her. He was willing to do whatever it took, no matter how unhinged, to prove that to her, even when she was running from him. I really loved how patient he was with her.
I understood her motivations too, even if they were misguided. Trauma and faulty thinking patterns can have you convincing yourself you don’t deserve good things.
The sibling relationships on both sides were also really nice to see, and the callbacks to other characters in this author’s catalog were a fun surprise. Overall, this was an enjoyable, generally low tension love story.

I absolutely loved this story. Rose had a secret that caused her to keep every man at arms length to protect herself. It gets to a point where you can no longer do that because a soulmate is bound to wear you down. Russ knew that Rose was it for him and made sure she knew it too.
Kay has easily become an auto buy/auto read author for me. Whenever she says that she has a book coming, I make sure to download it that same day. Absolutely love her!

Another visit to the place I love, Onyx City! I really enjoyed Russell and Rose’s story. 💕 For years, Rose kept them in the friends-with-benefits category while Russ wanted something more. That difference caused a year-long wedge between them. 😩💔
Things turned serious when Rose was kidnapped by a man she was dating because he felt disrespected by her , but thankfully Russ found her. ❤️🩹 After finally opening up about why she friend-zoned him, Rose and Russ worked through their issues and became a real couple. 🥹💕 Rose still needed reassurance from her sisters and loved ones, to truly accept that Russ was sincere about loving her no matter the circumstances. 🫶🏾✨
I also loved the connection they formed with Oakley, the little girl they met at the daycare that was in foster care. 👧🏾💕 Watching them become a family was beautiful and heartwarming. 🏡💞
Overall, this was an awesome read filled with love, drama, healing, and second chances! 📚🔥💖

These Rush brothers are in a league of their own
These brothers set the bar high for others. I feel like with this book you don’t get much of the MC life except when dealing with the conflict. Otherwise it’s just more centered on the Family. I didn’t mind this because I love the Rush family, but if you are looking for a true MC romance, you may not enjoy this. I was annoyed at Rose at first (& still was a tiny bit after she revealed her truth) but overall I understood where she was coming from. You never know the reason behind someone’s actions. You never know what they are dealing with internally behind the scenes. I love how much Russ loved her and how patient he was with her. As with Rocky, I enjoyed the closeness of the sisters and then the brothers as well. If you have not read Rocky yet, I recommend you read it prior to this (even though this is a standalone) You get introduced to Russ & Rose in that story, to get more of their history. Overall I love the Rush family & look forward to more from Ms. Kay Shanee.

Russ and Rose had me hooked!
Another amazing installment in the BLP motorcycle club series by Kay Shanee. This book was very well written and attention grabbing from the very first page. I was locked in immediately, and y’all already know I love a story that doesn’t waste time pulling me in.
Russ and Rose’s story was filled with passion, trials, emotional moments, and just enough drama to keep things interesting without overshadowing the love story. I really enjoyed watching their relationship unfold naturally through everything they faced together. Their chemistry felt real, their connection was believable, and I found myself rooting for them the entire time.
And that ending? It genuinely made my heart smile. A beautiful addition to the series and definitely worth the read. 🖤

I have been curious about Russell and Rose's relationship since I first read about them in Rocky and His Noble Heart. I kept wondering why Rose was giving Russell such a hard time, and in this book, we finally find out why. Rose didn't think she was deserving of Russell's love, but he showed her that she was regardless of what she had going on. Even though Russ and Rose had been separated for a while, I loved the love and patience that Russell showed to Rose once he found out the truth. I also loved the connection that the brothers as well as the sisters shared. We did find out that Russell was just as unhinged as Rocky and Rowdy. 😂😂 I'm glad that Rose got to experience what she thought she would miss out on in her life. This was a really good second chance book that you need to 1 Click for yourself.

I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I had been looking forward to getting the full story on Russell and Rose since seeing them connect in Rocky and Rue’s story. Russ was all in with Rose from hello and even though she felt the same, she held back because she didn’t feel like she was enough. I was glad that he made ir clear that wasn’t the case and that their families doubled down on that and agreed, which allowed Rose to completely let her guard down and let him love her completely and she love him in return. The icing on their cake was little miss Oaklyn. She stole my heart just like she stole theirs. This story was worth the wait.

Where rose was coming from considering what had happened to her?, I could see why she was adamant about not wanting to give herself to Russell. It did take a year for them to get back to them. By russell was on her like white on rice.He was running 🥷🏾 away left and right. After the debacle of that b*itch 🥷🏾 Preston, I loved how everyone bound together to be there for Rose. Oakland story definitely touched my heart that little girl was too sweet. So I was happy, everything turned out great for her. Loved It!!
I absolutely loved every minute of this book!! The love story between Rose and Russell was everything that you would hope for in a relationship. Undying love, understanding, extreme chemistry, and the will to fight for what they knew was their love. Not to mention Russell was a bit crazy when it came to Rose and he would do anything to keep her safe, including pulling teeth, and that’s all I will say about that 😂😂. But seriously this story was so sweet and endearing and then you add the aspect of Oaklyn and her adoption, making their family complete and that just made this even better. This was a great book.

Russ was a little unhinged. He calls off their relationship then commence to follow my girl Rose for an entire year. The way that tickled me. Preston, although he was disrespected dude thought Rose owed him, her. How you big and bad for the girl but not the guy. I loved Russ get back before he stepped in to do him. That is what should happen to all offenders. My opinion.
Things got emotional after their talk and then the sweetheart that brought their little family full circle. I loved that.

One of my absolute favorite things was the Breeze & Melodie/Sonshyne & Raine cameo! Love love lovedddd that! Loved the support of their village! Russ’s brothers and Rose’s sisters! OMG and Oaklyn 🥹🥹🥹😍😍😍😍😍 This story warmed my heart!!

Whewww who’s cutting up onions? This book is for any woman that has felt incomplete in any way. It reminds us we are whole and beautiful and with the right man and allowing him in you’ll feel full and loved. Communication is key and the Russ’s love knew no bounds when it came to Rose and he did everything in his power to prove she was it for him. Once he discovered what she considered flaws he let her know she was end game for him. Loved it!!

Awwww Rose and Russ. Rose was constantly running from something that was already worked out. Russ had a hard exterior but was such a sweetheart. He never stopped loving Rose, even from a distance he still made sure she was good. I loved how they loved on each other regardless of the circumstances.

Love it
The book was beautiful. I love how Russ loved on Rose. I felt sorry for Rose. I am glad Russ was still there to protect Rose no matter what. His love brought them everything. It was a difficult discussion, but I was glad Rose told Russ about her never being able to have kids.
They still end up getting a child to love on.
I would recommend the book.

Russ loved Rose down and I appreciated that from beginning to end. No matter what Rose viewed as a drawback within herself, Russ never moved like he saw her as anything less than the woman he wanted to build a life and family with. The story had a little drama sprinkled in, but Russ handled business quick so nothing dragged too long. Cute read overall with a sweet love story at the center of it.

This was a good book, I was a little salty with Rose in the beginning because I did know her story, but once I learned her truth I understood that she didn't think she deserved love and didn't want to hold Russ back from finding someone who could give him a family. I would definitely recommend this book.

Yeah it was 3 star until someone was raped as revenge and the book was quite caviler about it. The trigger warning while it does mention that rape is mention off page, it doesn’t mention sexual violence being used as a revenge tactic. Someone threatens sexual violence against your partner and you get “someone that spent decades in jail and switched teams” to sexual violate them? Mmm Kay

Rose worked my nerves at first, but glad she got it together. Russ is a good man and what any woman would want as a husband. Preston was truly a misguided fool and got what he deserved. I’m so happy Rose finally confessed why she held back on marriage and motherhood. I love this book and how it connected other book titles as well. Well done Kay SHANEE

August 10, 2026This was a pretty good read. I liked Russ and Rose together and there were definitely parts that had me invested, but other parts dragged a little for me. I think I wanted a little more from the story outside of the romance, but overall I still enjoyed it. Not a favorite, but definitely not bad either. 3.5 stars.
