Sweet, Quick, and Heartwarming Read

This book was a quick and beautiful read.

It follows Deb and Jas, who meet on a plane when Jas is on her way to attend her ex’s wedding. Their connection is instant, but they definitely get off on the wrong foot during their first conversation.

The characters were really well written. Deb owns a bookstore, and he’s also an aspiring author, which I loved. Jas complements him so well, and their dynamic was really sweet to follow.

The way he asks Jas to be his girlfriend was absolutely beautiful and left a lasting impression.

This is a 4-star read that I recommend.

*I received a free copy of this book, but all opinions are entirely my own and honest.

I'm a sucker for a romance book and a novella so a combination of them immediately had me saying yes. And I'm so glad I did!

Due to the book’s shorter length, the romance develops quite quickly and leans into the insta-love trope, which is not usually one of my favourites. However, in this case, it worked well within the context of the story. The main characters complemented each other perfectly, and I found myself invested in their journey from beginning to end. I was rooting for them throughout the entire book. The MMC was a true gentleman, providing the perfect balance to the heartbroken FMC. I also loved the FMC’s best friend, whose humour, loyalty, and unwavering support made her a standout secondary character.

I did notice a handful of grammatical and proofreading errors throughout the novel. As this is a self-published book, I wasn't entirely surprised to come across a few errors, and they weren't frequent enough to detract from my enjoyment of the story. However, they were noticeable at times, and I know some readers may find them more distracting than I did. Personally, I didn't feel they took away from the overall reading experience, but I do think the book would have benefited from an additional round of proofreading before publication.

Overall, the novella was exactly the right length for the story it told. It felt well-rounded, with enough development to keep me invested without ever feeling rushed. The pacing struck the perfect balance, giving the characters and romance time to develop while still delivering the fast-paced, engaging reading experience I look for in a novella.

If you’re looking for a quick romance palate cleanser then I’d definitely suggest giving this one a read. This proved to be a far more enjoyable read than I initially expected.

Off to my Ex's Wedding is a short romance story that proves love can appear when you least expect it.

The story follows Jas, who heads to her ex's wedding while trying to cope with the heartbreak of losing the future she once imagined. Along the way, she meets Deb, a man who has always been content with staying single until Jas unexpectedly changes everything. The chemistry between Jas and Deb feels warm and playful with lighthearted humor.

It's a comforting read that reminds us that sometimes the end of one love story is simply the beginning of another.

If you're looking for a quick romance filled with heartbreak, witty banter and healing, this story is worth picking up.

Great short read

This was a great quick read with a HEA. I really enjoyed how quickly the character's were able to grow and progress and I didn't feel like the story was rushed.

Deb and Jas both had their reasons for traveling and yet fate kept putting them together. Same plane, same hotel, same favorite author, so good.

If you want a quick read that you can easily finish in one sitting I recommend this one.

Short, cute and lovely read!

I loved the characters Jas, Sneh and Deb

Jas and Deb have different reasons to go to Singapore but if destiny is written that two persons are made for each other, fate will always bring them up together.

I loved how the love was expressed both by Jas and Deb, Jas by complementing Deb for his hard work, business and writing.... Deb for supporting Jas in her heartbreak, getting her out of it and expressing his love through his writing.... And the gesture of giving his first book first copy to Jas that too signed 😍😘

If you want to have a break and really enjoy a cute and lovely read, then this is for you ❤

This novella feels like listening to someone tell you how love found them when they weren’t even looking for it. Jas and Deb’s connection grows in such a natural, comforting way that you get pulled into their world without even trying.

Jas carries her quiet hurt with so much softness and Deb meets her with this steady, thoughtful affection that shows up in the sweetest little moments like the card he makes, the muffin he brings, the way he hugs her 😍 he’s been waiting all day for that.

Their chemistry feels warm and lived‑in. The teasing, the way she relaxes around him, the way he looks at her like she’s something precious 💕 it all feels beautifully real. It’s the kind of love that settles into you gently and makes you smile without realising it.

By the end, you’re not just rooting for Jas and Deb You’re genuinely happy for them. It leaves you with that soft ache in your chest, the good kind.

Off to My Ex's Wedding is a sweet and short meet cute romance. This is Deb and Jas' story with an unexpected meeting and sweet gestures. Deb is a bookshop owner who goes on a trip and he meets Jas. Jas is going to a wedding of her ex and meets an attractive guy on the plane. I love how they have an instant connection and how they got to know each other more. I also love the friendship she has with her bestie that goes with her to support and be there for Jas. Their story is filled with finding love and being spontaneous. I really enjoyed their story and can’t wait to read more.

I voluntarily leave my honest thoughts about this gifted readers copy.

This is a lovely meet-cute short romance.

As a thriller girlie, I’d literally be convinced that someone I met four hours ago was trying to kill me—not fall in love with me. But that’s just me.

If you believe in love at first sight, or in that feeling of when you know, you know, then this story is definitely for you.

For me, it was just a little too good to be true, but it was still a sweet, enjoyable read.
