The Shattered Mirror

Rate this book
They failed once. Now, the fate of their world depends on whether they can heal—and fight—together.

When the unthinkable shatters Eva and Bash’s bonding ceremony, Quinn Sagray knows she’s the only one who can make things right. And the best person to help her? Tobias—her best friend’s brother whose death broke her heart.

He’s been avoiding her. But danger doesn’t care about old wounds and faceless fears, and neither does the dark force threatening everything they love.

As Quinn and Tobias uncover a twisted conspiracy and face a familiar foe, she must wield every ounce of her medical knowledge and forbidden magic—powers she swore she'd never use. And Tobias must finally face the shadow that haunts him, confront the mistakes of his past, and reclaim the strength he thought he lost.

The past still aches. Something still smolders between them. But time is running out.

To save his sister, their people, and maybe each other, they’ll have to trust what was broken. Or risk losing their minds.

The Shattered Mirror is a dark and spicy fantasy romance featuring second chance romance, forced proximity, dual POV, and a heart-wrenching journey toward healing, magic, and redemption.

Thank you so much Dana for allowing me to be part of your Street Team and for the advanced copy!

The Shattered Mirror is the final book in The Mirrored Trilogy series. This was my favorite book in the series. It starts right after Book 2. This time in the POVs of Eva’s twin brother Tobias and her best friend Quinn which was a nice change of pace. Tobias and Quinn find themselves in a race against time to save Eva and the far realm. Dana does a great job with balancing romance, action, and character development. It’s an easy read and good pace. Dana pulls at your heart stings. Tobias must face his fears to help his best friend in order to save his sister. Quinn and Tobia’s relationship showcases grief, longing, hope, and an authentic connection. There is Quinn’s struggle with her magic and Tobia’s struggle with past trauma, healing, and forgiveness. As a reader, I was rooting for Quinn and Tobias every step of the way. Plus there is the will they won’t they love story and 🌶️🌶️🌶️!

Two more things: when you thought Aviel was a horrible antagonist, you have not met the narcissistic shifter Silvius. And the epilogue in Eva’s POV 😭

A great conclusion to the mirrored trilogy. The ending of book 2 made it pretty clear that the spotlight would be shifting off Eva and Bash and while that initially made me a little sad, I can appreciate that the author wanted to share Tobias's story after everything he went through! I love that this installment introduced a new primary villain and conflict while also keeping things relevant with the previous two books.

Tobias and Quinn have the sweetest second chance romance with all the pining and longing. You want a man who YEARNS? *see below*

"Today, it would have been easier not to notice the sun than not to notice her, and I couldn't tear my gaze away."

"I know you can take care of yourself...But will you just let me take care of you too?"

"I wanted her so desperately I wondered how it was possible she couldn't see it in my eyes--couldn't feel it radiating out of my soul."

"Was there something you still needed?" You, I almost said. I always need you.

some things that kept this from being a 5 star read:
- some pacing issues. It took a bit for me to really get into the story and while I understand why Tobias's inner monologue was so dark and bleak, it did get repetitive after a bit.
- this could entirely be a me-issue and a me-issue alone but I felt like the voices were not as distinct in this book. I would have to check if I was in a Quinn chapter or a Tobias chapter because sometimes I couldn't tell.
- Similarly, I couldn't reconcile spicy scene Tobias with the way his character presented in all other parts of the book. I totally understand we all have those microtropes we go feral over but if it doesn't fit the character, it doesn't fit the character 🤷 and ends up making the scene feel weird for me.

I highly recommend this series for romantasy readers!

I received an eARC from the author. This review reflects my honest thoughts and opinions.

This book picks right back up and gives us more of Tobias, Eva’s twin brother who was rescued, and Quinn, Eva’s best friend. This man has been imprisoned for years and feels so broken, despite trying to hide behind his mask. And there’s nothing I love more than a broken man who I want to see start healing! He’s never been able to forget about Quinn and now that they are in close proximity and working together, I loved the chemistry between them. And then we have Quinn - she is so intelligent and strong and I love seeing this in a FMC. When she is focused and on a mission to solve something, nothing is going to stop her and I love that so much!

What to expect:
✨ Best friend’s brother
✨ Second chance
✨ He falls first & hard
✨ Forced proximity
✨ Forbidden magic
✨ Fated mates
✨ Slow burn

Thank you so much to Dana Evyn for letting me read/review an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!

( advanced reading copy ).
I want to thank the author for the arc read of this great book.
The Shattered Mirror is the third book on The Mirrored Trilogy and it goes on the POV of Thobias and Quinn. Thobias is the prince who got saved from years of torture in the dungeons of a cruel King and became King of his kingdom, he's a tortured soul who doesn't feel good enough to anyone and sees himself as a failure.
Quinn is his best friend since they were on the mortal realm and is a badass of a character iny opinion.
They go to save Eva, Thobias twin sister, from an unknowned sickness that is afflicting her.
The plot is great, the end is the culmination of the three books and it goes full circle.
I really liked the book, now need to go read the first two.

Review of Advanced Reader Copy

This is the final book in The Mirrored Trilogy and it did this series justice.

I found myself drawn more to Tobias than Quinn, although I do love them both. I can’t resist a tortured soul. The depiction of Tobias’s struggles after the trauma he experienced was so raw and believable.

The final chapter brought it all full circle, and that’s the one that almost made me cry. Honestly, it’s Eva and Bash forever for me. 🩶🖤

3.5 ⭐️

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed with Book 3.

I liked Tobias and Quinn, and I enjoyed their story, but this book mostly felt like filler rather than a true continuation of the main storyline. I was hoping for more focus on the overarching plot instead.

That said, I still enjoyed spending more time in this world.

Overall, I'd say this series landed somewhere between 3.75 and 4 stars for me.

The mirrored trilogy is over and it’s so bittersweet to say goodbye to these characters 🤧

I loved book 1 & 2!! Book 3 was not my favorite but I still liked it ☺️

I don’t know why but the first 35% of the book could not grab my attention at all. I think it took me over 2 weeks just to read that part but then, I read the last 65% in a day!! I WAS HOOKED 🤭

That’s where the story really picked up & I simply could not put it down!

The romance was really cute & spicy !!

You should give this series a try, especially if you love tropes like this :

Fated mates
Dual pov
Dark secrets
Found family

Thank you so much Dana & team for the early Arc 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

4.5 out of 5 stars

I made the mistake of not realizing that this was the last book in a series (I was warned, but it slipped my mind), so when I started it, I was confused, so then I did the normal thing and go back and read the entire trilogy. (Which I will post my reviews for them later.)

Wow, was this a journey from the start to the finish.

When I say I literally lost track of time reading this book, I mean it. I was deeply invested in this story that I lost several hours of sleep because I needed to find out what happened next.

The story is perfectly wrapped up in this book, which is both a good and a bad thing as when I got to the last page, I felt sad as I wanted, no needed more.

Ms Evyn's world building up to this point has been phenomenal and I still seemed to discover new things with each turn of the page. (Which is saying something as I read this series in the span of a week!)

As much as I adored Eva and Bash, I was glad of the switch to Tobias and Quinn. They brought a new perspective to the story and I was so emotional invested in their relationship that I almost forgot about Eva and Bash.

Tobias' struggles with his past and Quinn's with her own type of magic make both of them realistic characters. I did have to roll my eyes a few times at some of their interactions and yelled at them a few times to just kiss already, but when they finally did I felt it was well deserved.

Also, Quinn being the diva that she is with her own combination of smarts and magic?! More of that please! We need more strong FMC in Romantasy books that are like her. She has a personality that is all her own and is not afraid to show it!

Tobias, what can I say about him that aren't spoilers? Well......with what he's been through, I'm so glad that he had Quinn there with him. His walls were slow to break down, but when they did, it felt natural and not rushed. Once they were down, I was so happy for him and Quinn.

The reason this doesn't get a full 5 stars from is because of some of the trigger warnings. I will admit that I had to step away from the book during one part and take a break for my mental health. However, that scene is very well done and doesn't seem like it's just there to move the plot along.

Which is honestly amazing because that's something that some authors don't seem to do very well, take something that serious and not play it along for a joke. Well done Dana!

You have a fan for life in me and I can't wait for everything to slow down again so that way I can do another dive through the mirrors!

Thank you again for letting me an ARC reader for this book!

Well, after having a fun filled weekend, my reading got put on hold, lol. The Shattered Mirror by Dana Evyn brings an end to The Mirrored Trilogy, but in a twist, this time we get new character point of views since Eva and Bash's story arc came to an end. They were still involved with the story but not in the compacity that you would think.

This time we follow Quinn, Eva's best friend from childhood who is also tied to this fantasy world, and Eva's brother Tobias. Tobias is struggling with PTSD from being a prisoner of Aviel. Quinn longs to help him, but isn't sure what the right step to take is. But then the unthinkable happens and Eva falls ill but some mysterious malady and it's up to Quinn to figure out what it is and work on a cure. Desperate to save his beloved, Bash goes into a sort of stasis to find Eva in her dreams and help to keep her mind together before this curse can have irreparable effects.

Quinn and Tobias travel to another kingdom with more resources in order to work on a cure. They are greeted by the queen's head scientist type, Dolion who seems to take an extra interest in Quinn much to Tobias' displeasure.

This was an interesting story. True, I did miss Bash and Eva, but since I felt like their story came to a conclusion, if felt right to have a different couple pop up, though I still felt surprised by it being Quinn and Tobias. I feel like we might have had hints about their feelings before but since the previous books focused on Eva and Bash, I can't quite remember a minuet detail like that. But still, seeing the relationship between Quinn and Tobias evolve was sweet. There was definitely some intense and heated moments between them but it was in latter half of the story since there's so much healing that needs to be done between these two in the beginning.

The pacing to this one was about the same as the previous books. Not fast, but not super slow. It was a sedate pace with a lot of character driven growth. I enjoy a good character drive plot myself, so this was nice! I did totally pinpoint a twist in the story to the letter! I had two theories of course, but banked myself on my first guess the most! Lol.

All in all, this was an enjoyable book and a great addition to the world series. I enjoyed reading points of view from other characters and this acted as a sort of bonus story in some sense but still wrapped things up with a nice little bow for everyone involved. I will definitely be looking forward to Dana's future books for sure!

Healing isn't always gentle. Sometimes it looks like facing the person who reminds you of everything you've lost.

That's what made The Shattered Mirror such a compelling read for me.

Dana Evyn doesn't just tell a fantasy story filled with magic and danger—she explores grief, guilt, forgiveness, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward when the past refuses to let go.

Quinn and Tobias immediately pulled me in. Their shared history gives every interaction an emotional weight that lingers long after each conversation ends. There's hurt between them, unanswered questions, and feelings neither of them has truly dealt with. Watching them slowly dismantle the walls they'd built over the years was just as captivating as the larger conflict unfolding around them.

Quinn was a standout character. Her determination, intelligence, and willingness to sacrifice for the people she loves made her easy to admire. I especially appreciated how her medical knowledge and forbidden magic complemented one another, allowing her strengths to shine in ways that felt unique to her character.

Tobias's journey was equally powerful. Rather than portraying him as an effortlessly strong hero, the story allows him to struggle with his past and the burdens he carries. His growth felt authentic, making every hard-earned victory all the more satisfying.

The fantasy elements blended seamlessly with the romance. The conspiracy, looming threat, and magical world kept the stakes high, while the quieter moments between Quinn and Tobias gave the story its emotional heart. The balance between action, romance, and character development made it difficult to put the book down because I was equally invested in the fate of the world and the fate of these two characters.

If you're looking for a fantasy romance where healing is just as important as the battles being fought, The Shattered Mirror is well worth picking up. It's emotional, immersive, and filled with characters who feel wonderfully human despite the magic surrounding them.

Dana Evyn crafted a story that reminds us that broken things aren't beyond repair—they simply need the courage to be pieced back together. I can't wait to continue this series.

THOUGHTS

Thank you, Dana, for the ARC! ♥️

There was so much to love about this book!

Quinn's tenacity and resilience under pressure, in particular, were so admirable. I would have been sobbing and science-ing simultaneously if I were in her shoes lol. I also loved how her intellect and preoccupation with the intersection of human science with fae magic were given a chance to shine. It was not just endearing to observe, but also introduced a welcome freshness to the series that was sorely needed.

I had more issues with Toby's chapters. My biggest problem with "The Shattered Mirror" comes down to the first 15% or so of the book, containing his POV. It was dominated by a substantial amount of narrative summary, intermingled with unbearably pathetic introspection. It certainly gave me a good feel for Toby's trauma (score!), but the point was laboured more than necessary to achieve that end, so the story took a long time to truly get started.

While I found a few of the plot twists a bit predictable and the resolution a bit too easily won,  I found this book was a significant step up from "The Mirror In The Mountain" and a great end to the series!

Congratulations, Dana, on a solid finale!

The Shattered Mirror is an emotionally powerful and beautifully crafted fantasy romance that delivers everything I love about the genre high stakes, compelling characters, rich magic, and a romance that feels deeply earned.

Quinn and Tobias stole my heart from the very beginning. Their second chance relationship is layered with grief, regret, longing, and hope, making every interaction feel meaningful and authentic. The forced proximity element only intensifies the emotional tension, and watching them confront old wounds while facing an escalating threat kept me fully invested in their journey.

Dana Evyn does an excellent job balancing romance, action, and character growth. Quinn's struggle with her forbidden magic and Tobias's battle with the shadows of his past create a story that is as much about healing and redemption as it is about adventure. Their dual perspectives add depth to the narrative and allow readers to experience both the vulnerability and strength of these characters.

The world-building continues to shine, and the plot is packed with twists, danger, and emotional moments that hit hard. The story explores themes of trust, resilience, forgiveness, and finding the courage to move forward despite past pain.

Dark, passionate, and emotionally satisfying, The Shattered Mirror is a fantastic addition to The Mirrored Trilogy and a rewarding read for fans of fantasy romance. I couldn't put it down and was rooting for Quinn and Tobias every step of the way.

Highly recommended for readers who enjoy second-chance romance, magical intrigue, strong emotional arcs, and characters who fight not only for their world but for each other.

I loved reuniting with beloved characters from the first two books and exploring a romantic storyline between new main characters. Quinn and Tobias grew up together until fate tore them apart. Both have grieved the lives they could have had.

The kingdom is rebuilding, but their scars remain. Tobias struggles to acclimate to his newfound freedom. Quinn grapples with having Tobias back in her life yet feels the distance he’s placed between them. There’s so much heartache from words unspoken, regrets, and self-loathing. Their journey of healing is gradual and their love is desperate, passionate, and built on a lifetime of friendship.

After all they have suffered, I wanted nothing more than to see them find their happily ever after. Words from the very first book kept echoing in my mind: “Remember, the only way out is through.” Will they find their way through the darkness together?

In The Shattered Mirror, Dana weaves a deeply emotional and impossibly romantic second chance romance between two fated souls who never give up on each other.

Huge thanks to the author for the review copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Tobias and Quinn, be still my heart. I knew this book would be emotional and I was not disappointed in the least. After the first two books, we knew the torment Tobias faced for several years. I was waiting to read his perspective all this time and the way my heart broke for him with all the trauma he faced and how he struggled to let anyone in. I knew the only person who may even come close was Quinn. After all, we had hints of these two in the second book.

Quinn the natural healer, could never leave Tobias alone to face his demons. She wanted to help him any way she could despite all the harsh words he threw at her. But despite the tension and anger building, another emotion was forming. Tobias and Quinn are both naturally stubborn and hard headed so as you can imagine, it took many, many chapters for them to finally let their emotions run free. But as you can imagine, happiness is as fragile in this world as a crack to a mirror.

The trauma and torment Quinn and Tobias had to face not only within themselves but for the lives of their loved ones in this book… they definitely deserve a never ending vacation. The pressure was so immense for Quinn I felt bad she had to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. And the help she thought she could trust? I felt so bad for her.

This book definitely put them through it. As emotional as it was it fit the plot perfectly. The strength these two had for one another was outstanding. Stubbornness sometimes is just the thing you need to overcome all obstacles. A fantastic book, the only thing I wish we had more of was the ending described in the final chapter. Please make another epilogue describing those moments! I would love to read more of those depictions.

Thank you so much Dana Evyn for the eARC of The Shattered Mirror. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fans of secondary characters finally getting a book of their own, The Shattered Mirror is your dream come to life! Although we all fell in love with Bash and Eva in the first two installments in The Mirrored Series, everyone was dying to read Quinn and Tobias’s love story. I’m so happy to tell you that author Dana Evyn made our wish come true! This story ends the series with heartache, healing, spice, and so many swoon-worthy moments!

Let’s talk about Tobias. This poor guy has been through it, and has the scars to prove it. I especially loved his point of view throughout the book because it portrayed such a poignant journey from trauma to healing. Additionally, I couldn’t get enough of the romantic scenes from inside his head.

Quinn was also a joy to read about. She’s a strong FMC who, despite the circumstances, is absolutely not in distress! This woman is incredibly smart, brave, and will do anything for the people she loves. I especially enjoyed that she’s a scientist who can school all the guys in the room.

Although I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters, The Shattered Mirror is the perfect ending to the series.

In the pages, you will find:

👑A traumatized King MMC
💕Second chance romance
‼️Dual POV
🥰Fated mates

Healer FMC with a secret
Forced proximity

Grumpy x sunshine
Healing and redemption

F*ck it

Just as it seems like our crew that has been through so much may be getting a bit of peace, terror threatens their worlds again and this time Quinn and Tobias are at the head of the fight. Both must face so much to save those they care about and finally put out the last threat. Tobias is convinced he is too broken for Quinn, but their longstanding attraction continues to wear them both down. Can they lean on each other and find the answers they need?

What an ending to the trilogy! WHEW! You know it's good when I'm on Instagram stories yelling at the author about how scared I am! The last two books had such a terrifying bad guy and this one was rivaling him for how angry he make me! I enjoyed Quinn being basically a medical alchemist with science and magic combined! We love an intelligent STEM queen in a romantasy book! I felt so much for Tobias and all he had been through. And was kicking my feet as his walls were crumbling! I loved Quinn and Tobias together and really also treasured the little bits of their shared history and growing up together! I so enjoyed this last book and the way it all ended and I'm so excited for whatever Dana has next up her sleeve!

The Shattered Mirror is the third and final book in the Mirrored series, a fantasy romance series set in a fae realm with hidden identities and fated mates. It is worth noting that while the first two books in this trilogy were from Bash and Eva’s POVs, this book is told from Quinn and Tobias’s POVs. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.

What to expect:
✨Grumpy x sunshine
✨Second chance romance
✨Women in STEM
✨Found family
✨Mental health rep (PTSD)
✨Dual, first person POV

Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames

The Lovely: I wasn’t sure what to expect with the POV and character/relationship focus change up, but it definitely was necessary to tell Quinn and Tobias’s story. Their relationship, while still a second chance, explores what happens when that second chance arrives after the characters go through something traumatic that changes who they are.

The Mundane: To me the connection between Quinn and Tobias didn’t feel as natural or deep as that between Eva and Bash. They felt more like friends to me and I was a little surprised at how their romantic relationship developed.

Recommendation: And with that, this portal fantasy has come to an end with a HEA for most of the characters. If you like a fae romantasy with a second chance romance and learning how to be yourself after trauma, I think you would like this book.

This trilogy ended so seamlessly and with an ending I absolutely LOVED! I would have had this finished a couple days ago but it got real treacherous towards the end and I was having major anxiety for the characters and was procrastinating in hopes that nothing bad would happen to them. This series had the perfect villains that the reader could hate and the most well developed characters and love stories. This final book is from Tobias and Quinn's POVs trying to save the realm from a dangerous blood-borne virus. This opportunity for a second chance romance and healing each other of their trauma was so pure and I was just begging for them to kiss and love each other. Being in Tobias's mind was so heartbreaking and the disregard of his trauma by everyone else was even worse. Even throughout the whole book he was apologizing to everyone instead of them apologizing to him for how callous they were. It still irks me the way they all treated him and his need to apologize. Overall the plot and pacing was very good and I loved the dual POV!! Both MCs were amazing and I felt they were really well developed and the sex scenes were perfectly placed as well. This was such a great ending to a great trilogy!!

Thank you Dana Evyn for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the final book in The Mirrored Trilogy and focuses on two new POV's and the ending was brought full circle back to Eva and Bash and I cannot get over how much this series means to me. You have to read the first 2 books in the series to understand this one.

Our new POV's focuses on Quinn and Tobias finding a cure for a mysterious virus that makes Eva start to loose her memories while she is in a magical coma with Bash. We get a glimpse into what Tobias went through after he went through the mirror the night his parents died and how much he truly endured. It was heartbreaking. I really felt drawn to his character the most. We learn more about Quinn and how much she truly knew and how much she cares about Eva and Tobias.

I loved the character arc that Tobias went through in this book. The healing and commitment he had despite his afflictions were awe inspiring. Let's not forget his spicy moments too because he could give Bash a run for his money in that department.

The ending was perfect. It was the perfect ending for the found family Eva and Tobias had made.

Tropes:
-slow burn
-friends to lovers
-its always been you
-tortured hero

-ARC READ. Thank you to the author for an e-arc of this book for my honest review.

One of my favorite things that authors do when writing a series is when they start right off from where the previous book ended. This is where book 3 starts.. It takes place right after the events of book 2, and I think that the author did a really good job with making it a flawless transition. I really liked that we got even more POV's for characters that we have gotten to know and love. Another thing that is my favorite in a romantasy book is when the author can balance the romance/spice and world building. In my opinion I think that's what makes or breaks a romantasy book. You definitely get that in this book. I was so drawn to Tobias in this book. GAHHH!!! I am always drawn to the tortured souls in books. There's just something about them in books that adds so much depth to the character and story. I really appreciate how the author wrote about trauma. It was written with care and respect. I felt like it felt real, and it allowed me to empathize with them.

The ending of the book was so satisfying. I feel like the author did a great job bringing everything together. It feels like I got the perfect sense of closure I needed for the ending of this series.

The Shattered Mirror is the end of The Mirrored Trilogy. Since Tobias and Quinn’s story was hinted at the end of The Mirror in the Mountain, I had been looking forward to it. Their story takes place in the same world as Bash and Eva’s now that everyone is reunited but there’s something about this story that feels very different. To me, this story is almost like a standalone, especially as Tobias and Quinn join forces to save the ones they love while also try to heal from their shared past.

The Shattered Mirror is heartbreaking but hopeful as it explores trauma, healing, acceptance, and forgiveness. With a race against the clock, the story is fast paced despite having a dual-pov between Tobias and Quinn. Their insight to the situation and the sharing of their own experiences makes the story come alive.

If you have been waiting to binge The Mirrored Trilogy now that it is complete or you were waiting for the conclusion to the series, you need to get reading!

Thank you to Dana Evyn for the gifted ARC! Thank you for sharing the world of The Mirrored Trilogy with the world. All opinions are my own.

I don’t think I’ve read one book of Dana’s that hasn’t been a 5⭐️ read. I read The other side of the mirror & The mirror in the mountain last year and I absolutely ADORED them. So when I got accepted for an ARC of The shattered mirror, I truly couldn’t believe my luck.

Dana’s characters may be fae but they are REAL. You get thrown straight into the story, you feel their hurt, their love, their trauma. Her characters are so beautifully written that you can’t not connect with them. She really did an incredible job of navigating the MMC’s mental health and PTSD in this book particularly. Dana knows how to take us on the characters journey with their trauma and really make us feel it with them.

All in all I will forever shout about this series from the rooftops as it is easily one of my favourites I have read. It was ridiculously easy to jump back into this realm even after a year and I didn’t need to do any re-reads to remember the story, it’s stuck with me since.

Thank you Dana for giving us this beautiful series✨

This book is heavy on grief, trauma, and learning how to overcome it. Tobias goes through SO much in the Mirror trilogy and while he should be enjoying peace and a happy ending, he’s instead helping Quinn save his sister.
I really enjoyed that this was still action packed, but Quinn and Tobias weren’t typically the warriors. At certain points the plot felt slow and there was a lot of internal dialogue, there’s only so many times Quinn can test blood before it gets a little boring.
However, I loved that Quinn is a woman in stem and she truly stood for everything she wanted. She wanted to keep Eva safe, find a cure, and also helped Tobias through trauma.
And Tobias, when it came to Quinn he was NOT playing. And I love him for that. The growth he went through just to felt worthy of Quinn was heartbreaking but admirable.
I will say this book focuses mostly on the plot with the romance coming in later. This was a beautiful ending to this series and I’m so excited for whatever Dana Evyn writes next.
Thank you so much Dana Evyn for the advanced copy 🖤

The Shattered Mirror is the third and final book in The Mirrored Trilogy by Dana Evyn. I have so many big feelings because I can’t believe this series is over! I started my ARC reader journey with the first book The Other Side of the Mirror, and this series will forever be one of my favorites.

This book follows Tobias and Quinn which I absolutely LOVED. Tobias is the twin brother of Ava (the FMC in books 1 & 2) and Quinn is their best friend. Their story was heartbreaking but there was so much healing involved, especially with Tobias. This man is such a tortured soul and keeps all of his emotions locked up like he had learned to do for years. He grew so much over this book and slowly let people into his life again starting with Quinn. There were a lot of ups, downs and uncertainties between them but Quinn never gave up on him. These two were always fated for each other and have such a fantastic connection as well as sexual chemistry that you could not miss.

During the final chapter of the book I was a sobbing mess because it really brought the series full circle and we got to see them all get the best HEA.

If you have not read this series, I highly recommend it!

You will enjoy this book if you like the following:
- Second chance
- Fated mates
- Forced proximity
- Trauma bonding
- Grumpy x sunshine
- Lots of yearning
- Slow burn

Thank you so much Dana for the gifted copy and I am so glad that I went through the mirror!

The Shattered Mirror

🪞 Summary:

This book picked up right after book 2. Eva’s twin brother, Tobias and her best friend, Quinn, find themselves in a race against time to save his sister and the fae realm. Tobias must face his fears to help his best friend and begin to let those he loves back in.

🪞Thoughts:

This was a fast paced conclusion to the Mirrored series and I’m so sad that it is over.

Even though this book centered around two characters that were side characters in books 1 & 2, we got to see more of Eva and Bash as well as the rest of the crew.

I loved their love story and how it was centered around healing. They both have dealt with trauma and how they both helped each other through it was beautiful and touching.

Dana, I am so sad that this is the end, but I feel so lucky to have followed you along the journey through the mirror. I cannot wait to read what you write next. Thank you so much for allowing me to read this ARC.

Ahhh!! First of all thank you to the author for an early eARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This journey! The final book in the trilogy is non-stop!! We swap POVs from Eva and Bash to Tobias, Eva's brother, and Quinn, Eva's best friend. Our other found family members are also present throughout. Eva and Bash omg they just want a HEA, but alas their story isn't that easy. If you thought book two wrapped things up, we have a few lingering problems. Not a minor problem. Poor Bash just wants to save Eva in every book.

Tobias is trying to recover from years of trauma. He keeps going. Quinn has been reaching out, but keeping secrets of her own. I loved getting to see their POV and falling harder for their characters. Eva and Quinn are unstoppable and I will not be swayed to say their men save them, they save themselves. Their MMCs are hot and strong in their own right and I love them.

Evyn's writing takes you in and transports you through the mirror.

I was looking forward to Tobias and Quinn's story since it was hinted at in the previous book.

This is the kind of second chance romance that works for me. Neither of them messed up in the past, they just didn't find the right moment before Tobias disappeared. Them finding their way back to one other after all the trauma was very nicely done. Tobias and his grumpy vibes met his match with Quinn's sunshine attitude. There was lots of yearning from both parties, sprinkled with a bit of jealousy on Tobias' part.

The story lost me a little bit and didn't entirely keep my interest, but the romance made up for it. Rivan and Pari's story also would have been interesting to read more about.

This was a good conclusion to the series and overall a nicely done series. I love the HEA for the whole family.

What an emotional journey does Dana take us on in The Shattered Mirror, the final book in the Mirror Trilogy.

In this book we follow along with Tobias in his new role as he continues to be haunted by the trauma that was inflicted upon him by Aviel and he tries to push everyone away.

But Quinn will not let stand and she will do whatever it takes to break through to him and when Eva gets sick it forces them to work together.

My heart was just aching for Tobias with everything that is haunting him and the way he yearns for Quinn but won’t allow himself to have her.

Quinn is absolutely brilliant in her methods and Tobias is right by her side reminding her. We watch him slowly break down his walls to let her in and their relationship is so strong built on friendship and deep love.

I loved getting to see Eva, Bash and the rest of the group and it was a beautiful conclusion to the trilogy.
