A former editor of Outland, Mann is the author of The Human Abstract, and more recently The Affinity Bridge and The Osiris Ritual in his Newbury and Hobbes detective series, set in an alternate Britain, and Ghosts of Manhattan, set in the same universe some decades later.
He wrote the Time Hunter novella "The Severed Man", and co-wrote the series finale, Child of Time.
He has also written numerous short stories, plus Doctor Who and Sherlock Holmes audiobooks for Big Finish Productions. He has edited a number of anthologies including The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction, The Solaris Book of New Fantasy and a retrospective collection of Sexton Blake stories, Sexton Blake, Detective, with an introduction by Michael Moorcock.

Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Pathfinders # 4 | Comic Review
I’ve been all in on George Mann’s Star Wars comics for quite some time. He continues to knock it out of the park with Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Pathfinders # 4. The story continues to build in a great way
The adventure continues for Jedi Master Temesh and his Padawan Anula as they investigate the death of Master Atticus Cale. In the previous book, we had a sound that could kill, and they’ve tracked it down to a remote outpost. Of course, chaos ensues. Beautiful, droid chaos.
Something awful has happened at this listening post turning it’s inhabitants paranoid of everything. Can the Jedi get to the bottom of this mystery without finding themselves dead first?
George Mann enjoys bringing in horror elements into Star Wars, and he does it in this one with the human-droid body modifications. Caio Filipe brings it as always with the artwork while Michael Atiyeh’s colors crush it.
There are two more books in this series, and I’m really digging it so far. Mann, Filipe, and Atiyeh do good work.
I am sad that Dark Horse is winding down their Star Wars publishing as the “all ages” rights have gone to Mad Cave Studios and Papercutz. Here’s hoping they go out with a bang.
