Iysis Spring was only 5 years old when her uncle told her to keep a secret or something bad would happen. She wasn't thinking about what would happen if she hadn't kept the secret. She was more afraid of what would happen if she did. Little did she know, opening her mouth would affect her over the years. As she grew up, her life started turning for the worse and when both of her parents are killed, she comes across the man who told her to keep her mouth shut and she's scared for her life as well as her younger sister's life.

Lorenzo Haney is two years older and thinks that he's just lucky when he and Iysis cross paths one day. He has no idea that his family and her family knew each other. Little does he know, he was set up to be with her. Why? Because he is a vital part of their family's mission to protect Iysis and her sister.
