Wellness Bridge is an insightful and unique book that talks about a fusion of modern healthcare along with the outstanding incorporation of ancient healing methodology.

The book is segmented beautifully to give you a steady explanation into integrative medicine, conventional medicine, holistic medicine, and functional medicine. As we delve deeper into the book, various facets of overall well-being are discussed such as "food as medicine", Ayurvedic practices, Fasting and many more.

Dr.Keshav Grover provides a fantastic exploration of welfare and quality of life by expertly investigating research, science backed evidence and his experiences and anecdotes about clinical medicine.

In the introductory lines of the very first chapter he puts forth "the goal to demystify well-being and offer practical solutions that individuals can incorporate into lifestyles to create an environment where they can experience a sound mind in a sound body." This was an excellent and strong opinion that made me curious to know what knowledge and information I will discover in the pages to come. And it was a trove, indeed! I gained amazing, notable and profound insights and to be honest it cleared so many pre-existing doubts and misaligned ideas.

One of the best ways that Dr. Grover emphasizes positive alterations in choosing modalities that are curated and tailored to an individual needs rather than heaping on everything resulting in overwhelming emotions that inundate the whole process.

A fantastic book with great insights.

In a world saturated with wellness influencers, supplements, gadgets, and conflicting health advice, Wellness Bridge stands out as a thoughtful and practical guide to achieving better health without getting lost in the noise. Dr. Keshav Grover draws on his background in functional and integrative medicine to connect modern health trends with time-tested healing practices from around the world.
What impressed me most is the book's balanced approach. Rather than dismissing conventional medicine or embracing every wellness trend, Grover argues for an integrative model that combines the strengths of modern medical science with proven lifestyle practices and ancient healing traditions. The result is a framework that feels both credible and accessible.
The book covers a wide range of topics including nutrition, fasting, movement, sleep, stress management, community, and resilience. Grover presents these subjects in a practical, nonjudgmental way, encouraging readers to find approaches that fit their individual needs rather than promoting a one-size-fits-all solution.
Another strength is the emphasis on sustainable well-being instead of quick fixes. At a time when many health books focus on the latest trend, Wellness Bridge reminds readers that many of the most effective wellness practices have existed for generations. The blend of modern evidence, clinical experience, and ancient wisdom makes the book both informative and inspiring.
Overall, this is an engaging and comprehensive health guide that helps readers cut through misinformation and build a more intentional approach to wellness. Whether you are new to integrative medicine or already interested in holistic health, there is valuable insight here.

I was really interested to read Wellness Bridge - Decoding Todays Health Hacks because of its focus on different approaches to health and healing. I particularly enjoyed the introduction, where Dr Keshav Grover talks about his family and how his father’s conventional medical background contrasted with his mother’s use of home remedies and traditional practices.

The book covers a lot, including integrative, conventional, holistic, and functional medicine, as well as nutrition, movement, sleep, mindfulness, regenerative practices, and the importance of community. There were definitely things I found myself highlighting, and I liked the idea of thinking of the book as a buffet and taking from it whatever feels useful to you.

I found myself dipping in and out rather than reading it from beginning to end. Maybe I just wasn't in quite the right frame of mind for it, or perhaps I’ve already read quite a lot about similar topics. Although I found it interesting and there were plenty of useful ideas, I didn't find it as engaging as I’d hoped.

I think this is probably a book that works best as something to keep on the shelf and dip into when you want to look at a particular aspect of your wellbeing. I received an advance review copy from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

This book starts out with a great explanation of what Integrative Medicine is and how a functional doctor’s practice works. I really appreciated the author’s views on topics that can be controversial. He didn’t have anything nasty to say or take a “I’m right/you’re wrong” stand. In today’s world thats refreshing. He also mentions the financial drawback of functional medicine as insurance companies often do not cover the cost of testing. There’s lots of information on food as medicine.

I really liked the paragraph about singing and chanting while cooking because “the energy and emotions we have while preparing our food can be transmitted to those who would consume it for their nourishment. … (by) chanting and singing, we help to activate the vagus nerve and stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system to calm ourselves down and purify our minds of negative emotions and thoughts.” Makes so much sense!

There are also sections on movement, sleep, regenerative practices (heat & cold exposure, grounding etc), mindfulness techniques and the importance of community. All are very informative. I definitely recommend this book.

This friendly primer on integrative medicine pulls from ancient healing traditions to cut through today's wellness noise. You'll find practical tools around nutrition and lifestyle, plus charts and notes that keep the advice grounded. The treatment of traditions is a bit uneven, but it works well if you're curious about a more holistic approach to health.
