New York is about as far away from Iowa as you can get and when Natalie Vasser leaves her home for the big city after college graduation, everything seems possible. The past four years have been spent with Ethan, the only man she’s ever loved, and she wants to be there for him as he follows his dream. Reality soon sets in though and she realizes life in New York City isn’t what she expects. Making the rent and paying the bills becomes priority, not each other. Times are hard and emotions are strained, but Natalie’s certain her future is with Ethan…that is until she meets Drew Saben. The more she gets to know Drew, the more she starts to wonder if maybe the life she’s planned for herself isn’t the one she wants after all. How far will she have to fall until she discovers what she truly wants?
Megan Isbell was born in Japan and raised in Southern Arizona. Her husband's submarine career brought her to Connecticut in 2002. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and an MS in Reading/Language Arts Education. While her passion is writing, she also loves her day job as a first grade teacher. She chooses to set most of her stories in New England because she can't think of a more beautiful place to live. Besides writing, Megan loves spending time with her daughter, watching TV (especially The Vampire Diaries and anything on The History or Travel Channels) and running. She loves the Boston Red Sox and has an unhealthy obsession with the The Killers, Depeche Mode, Erasure, The Script, Within Temptation, Alex Band and Ryan Star. She currently lives in northeast Connecticut with her husband, daughter, one crotchety Yorkie, one lovable Chihuahua, and one indifferent gray cat. Her novels include The Home Series, After the Sky Fell Down, Here With Me and My Tomorrow.
Yeah, me too. Natalie was the most annoying, self pitying, whiny ass female lead I have read in a long ass time. Ethan acted like a douche most of the story, and Drew was unrealistically too good to be true, and I felt zero connection with either of these men. The sex was lame (no matter which one of these two was screwing Natalie at the time), and there's still two more sequels of this shit????
I enjoy a good love triangle book, and My Tomorrow fits that bill. Ethan and Natalie, recent college graduates who have been in a relationship for the last few years, decide to uproot their lives and move to New York City. Things don't work out as planned for them, and stress over how things are going causes conflict in their life. When Natalie gets a job working with Drew, things get even more complicated.
I really liked these characteres. They felt very real to me. I look forward to more in this series!
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell is the first book that I have read by this author, but I will definitely be reading more. I had a hard time not giving this book 5 stars but for me cheating is a hard limit. I do think that this author made it “almost ok” but I feel like the entire situation could have been handled differently. Ethan and Natalie have been together for 4 years and decide to move from Iowa to New York so that Ethan can get a job utilizing his college degree, they expect to have some challenges but neither of them expected to be so broke. With Ethan working all of the time, Natalie is lonely and is not finding a job as easily. When she finally lands a job as an assistant at a local architect firm, things start to change even more. Her boss is HOT and she cannot deny the instant connection between the two of them. They start to work closely together and then are spending time outside of work too. While she feels guilty because of Ethan, it is not enough for her to stay away from Drew. Will she be able to do what is right or what her heart wants or will she try to fight for a relationship that is no longer there? So my biggest problem with this book is that even when she knew what her heart wanted, she still didn’t make any changes because she didn’t want to hurt anyone. In the end it made it 100 times worse for everyone. I am however looking forward to the next book because I loved these characters and it appears the cheating factor is no longer an issue in the next book. If you cannot let the cheating aspect be a turnoff than I believe that you will love this book. I read this whole book in one sitting because I had to know how it all worked out, so I would definitely recommend this book to others!
My Tomorrow – Megan Nugen Isbell – 4 Stars Natalie and Ethan leave their home town of Iowa to travel to the night lights and bustle of New York City. With the added excitement of being together as they start the adventure of a lifetime they arrive set to take on the world. However, neither expect their new life to be just as difficult as it turns out, and the delay in finding the required jobs, paying rent and finding money for food becomes a priority pushing the relationship between them to the back burner. Natalie is loyal and in love with Ethan, she is more than ever determined to stand by him and see the adventure out. The feeling between these two is intense to start with, but thought out the story you feel them growing apart. I never really felt the relationship between Natalie and Ethan was meant to be and with him easily being vacant in parts due to work commitments, I can understand the appeal that Drew has to Natalie. The emotions between them all make you feel emotional right along with them and you wonder how you would deal with the trials and tribulations should they be put in your way. This is a story that includes cheating so if you find this difficult you may want to bear this in mind. However, the story itself if well written and the author takes you through the decisions made by the characters within the book and how they each deal with the hand they have been dealt with. This is book 1, but the story does not end on a cliff-hanger, looking forward to the story continuing.
Hated the cheating and wished the characters were able to make different choices. I wish Natalie could have had the balls to end things with Ethan and then run to Drew for crazy passion love. I wish Drew could have said, "Natalie, I want you, and I know you want me, so you need to break up with Ethan so we can give our relationship a chance." I wish Ethan could have realized that it okay to say hi to someone while at your job...people so it all the time. Two details about this book really bothered me. The main characters would have had text conversations going on. It takes no time at all and they would have known where each other were. Their complete silence during their time apart was not believable at all. Second, I don't believe between the two of them working, they didn't have enough money to stop talking/worrying money all the time. Especially since the book made it sound like Ethan was working all the time. Yeah right...he still would have had time to take walks around New York occasionally. It seemed forced that they never saw or talked to each other during the day.

Oh my gosh. I absolutely LOVED this story. My Tomorrow (book one) by Megan Nugen Isbell Is simply perfect. This is not the first book I’ve read by Megan, I love all of her novels. In this story a couple travels to NYC to start a new life together. Being in a new place is hard, but feeling alone when you are supposed to have someone is even harder. Sometimes things change and people grow apart. Sometimes someone comes into your life and completely changes everything. There is a happily ever after, but there is also more. I am so excited go read the next book in this series and I completely fell in love with the characters!
Natalie keep on the way to new York with her boyfriend Ethan so he can pursue his dreams there and being that she didn't want to let him go and support him she changed her root of life to make him happy. Once arriving at there new apartment it's all overwhelming being a country girl in the big city but shes also very excited to explore this big exquisite city and hoping Ethan would want to join her but is shot down as he needs to look for work if they want to survive the month. Things goes down hill from there between her and Ethan with him working all the time and once she gets a job as a assistant they just don’t see each other and it puts a huge black cloud over them. The thing is Natalie is scared because everything that she is use to is not the same but she don't want to open her eyes to what changing in front of her, she do make some poor decisions but at the same time she's been pushed to her limit with being hurt and feeling like shes second best. Ethan isnt a bad guy but he can be selfish he works himself ragged but it don't excuse the hurt he causes, he knows things are right between him and Nat especially since she's been working things are more strained between them but he also doesn't see what's going on in front of him so they both continue to ignore what's happening and caring on hurting each other. Natalie comes across hard choices along the way but will she follow her heart or live in denial? Will it be to late once she start seeing straight? How many people have got to get hurt so you can get your happy ever after??
Wow I really enjoyed this story its written beautifully I was absolutely captivated by the storyline, there were times I wanted to nudge Natalie to make a decision quicker as while reading you could see what was making her happy but she was set in her ways. The one things I do love about this novel is how infidelity came across I don't normally like books with cheating but in my tomorrow it was so different I mean I still don't condone cheating but the way the story line is and the characters are it's beautifully done it's not all sleazy or dirty, it's about change and the emotional connection between two people which can't be helped no matter how many times you walk away. Emotional roll coaster of a read definitely won’t be disappointed!!
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell a phenomenal five-star read. This is the first book in the Tomorrow series. Is the grass always greener? That’s what Natalie Vasser wonders one day. Natalie and her college sweetheart Ethan Carter have moved to New York City from their home in Iowa, they have finished their studies and It was always Ethan’s dream to work on Broadway as a music tech, so they followed his dream and came with their last $500. But as many people who head to New York to follow their dreams it doesn’t always go to plan. The daily grind starts to get to them both when Ethan struggles to find a job in his dream profession, so he takes a job in an Italian restaurant, to help pay the bills. Its long hours and hard work. Natalie struggles to find a job also, and starts to get lonely, stuck a home on her own with no money to do anything with, but this was all part of the plan and Natalie likes a plan, until one day she gets an interview at temp job, then she starts to wonder about the plan. The temp job is as an office assistant to a partner in an architectural firm Andrew Saben or Drew as he likes to be known as, she imagines him to be old and stuffy, until he accidently walks in on the interview and then something happens to Natalie she thinks he hot and not what she imagined and she starts to think that not everything needs to go to plan. Drew is kind and considerate, and he understands when Natalie talks to him about her relationship difficulties with Ethan, he talks things through with her, and cheers her up. The only problem is the more they get to know each other the more Natalie becomes torn between the two men, one who she has known for years and knows she will struggle with for every penny, and the other who is new and shiny and will give her everything she desires. But as we all know, old isn’t always good, but sometimes new and shiny isn’t the best option either. Natalie has a tough choice on her hands and it causes some very funny circumstances through the book. This book is very well written and a real lovely read, I can’t wait to read Heart of tomorrow, the next chapter in Natalie’s story.
Ethan and Natalie have packed up everything they own put it into the U-Haul behind the Jeep and are leaving Iowa for New York City. Why you may ask? Well Ethan wants to get a job working backstage on broadway. Natalie has a degree in English and wants to be an editor or publisher and they both want the change. Having been together for the last four years throughout college they see this as the next step in their relationship.
If only they had known how hard finding jobs would be. Ethan takes a job as a server at an Italian restaurant just to pay the bills. After a couple weeks of putting in applications and resumes, Natalie finally has a job interview to be an office assistant at and architecture firm.
In this book Megan Nugen Isbell paints a picture of a happy couple embarking on a HUGE journey into adulthood. Having been safe and secure just a few minutes from home throughout college they are now across the country and relying on themselves and the love they have for each other to get them through everything. But is it enough? Is just falling back on the thought that everything they want is in this person they have spent the last four years getting to know and trust. What happens when you find that the one that has been there in front of you isn't what you truly want?
This book follow Natalie and Ethan as they discover that life is harder than they expected and that in this learning curve that they love each other but not enough. Loving someone and BEING IN LOVE with that person is two totally different things. Finding your soulmate and following that draw to the one that makes your stomach flutter is the way to do it. Yes there are consequences that can come of this but truly denying yourself of something that you desire so much is torture of the worst kind and you are lying to yourself and everyone around you.
I enjoyed this book and read it from cover to cover in one sitting and Isbell has left me wanting to know more about Drew and Natalie. I can’t wait to read the next book
We've all had relationships. The ones where we all think it will last forever. Even more so for those that live in a small town. You don't see many people so you have less to see. But when a small town girl moves to a big city that all changes.
This comes with a small disclaimer. There are some spoilers in this review but if you read the synopsis you can probably figure out the spoilers I am talking about.
Yes there is cheating. And I am usually not one to like books with that, but there have been times when I like it.
This is one of those times.
At first, I didn't like Natalie. I felt like she was very needy and always making Ethan feel guilty for trying to provide for her. I really liked Ethan at the beginning because he's not like many men that I have experience with in regards to working hard and taking responsibility for the family.
That all changed by the end of the book.
Jealous is an ugly beast that can have good people do bad things. That happened here. Natalie was jealous of Ethan's job because it took all his time so she found comfort in someone else. Ethan was jealous of Drew so he did and said things to intentionally hurt her.
Drew to his credit just fell in a bad situation, figuratively and emotionally. He never felt anything real for anyone and of course the first time he does she is with someone else. Sure a good man would just let her go, but once again jealous shows it's ugly head. He is jealous of Ethan for having the girl he wants so he puts Natalie in a situation where now she has to choose.
I wish we could have seen more of the life of Natalie, Ethan, and Drew. Those life stories that help shape the characters. We had a few and I really enjoyed them. I hope there is more in the series because I find that I really like these characters.
If you want to be surprised then don't read the synopsis of the next story. You will see who she chooses. It's a story about looking at life on the 'greener' side and seeing how sometimes our first love isn't always our last love.
My Tomorrow (Book 1, The Tomorrow Series 1) by Megan Nugen Isbell is the first story in The Tomorrow Series. This story is love, passion and heart break. This story is an emotional ride of good and bad but one that you will want to hitch a ride on.
Natalie Vesser is a young woman who just graduated from college. She has made the decision to follow her boyfriend of four years to New York City, where everything seems possible. They have very little money but they have love so they thought. What happens to them when he gets a job but works all the time? What happens when she gets a job but still feels lonely? How far will she fall before she realizes what she really wants? How far is she willing to go? Will she find the comfort she feels she is missing? Their story will have you reading until the end. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen.
I think that of all Megan Nugen Isbell's stories this is my favorite. Megan was born in Japan and raised in Southern Arizona. She currently lives in Connecticut with her husband, daughter, dogs and cat. She chooses to set most of her stories in New England as she can't think of a more beautiful place to live. She loves spending time with her daughter watching television and running. This story is a fast reading love story that will have you turning page after page. You will need to find out what happens at the end. I highly suggest this story as I know you will love these characters as much as I have.
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell. I give this book 5/5 stars. The theme of this book is a couple comes to the Big Apple but it doesn't work out. This is the first book in The Tomorrow Series. Natalie is a twenty two year old college graduate who moved to NYC. She finds that living in the big city isn't all it was supposed to be. Her life is turned around on a business trip. The first quote I chose for her is when they are talking about art: “That's it may not be, but I can still appreciate it. I had to take an art appreciation class in college and it kinda wore off on me.” The second quote is after their first kiss: “Don't, Drew. Please.” Drew is the boss and he's looking for another assistant. He walks in on her but does he leave, that's the question you'll have to read and find out. His life is hectic when he meets her. The first quote I chose for him is when she is upset: “He's an a-hole, Natalie, and you need a friend right now. I know what it's like to be alone, like there's no one in the world to turn to and I'm telling you that you do have someone to turn to right now.” The second quote is him showing his feelings: “I think you're incredible, Natalie, and I want you to have everything you deserve. The first time I looked into your eyes I wanted to know you. I wanted to know everything about you. And as I got to know you, I wanted you even more and now, you're all I want. I just want to make you happy, Natalie, and I need you. I don't know why I need you so much. All I know is that when I'm with you, I feel good. I thought I was happy before you, but I know now I'm not...not without you.” This is the first book I've read by Megan Nugen Isbell. I really liked everything about the book. I felt so many emotions throughout the book. I was instantly in the book from the beginning. I highly recommend this if you like romances. Check out this amazing author, series and any books she has.
Natalie and Ethan are young and in love, tired of being in a small town Iowa and decide to take a leap and move the Big Apple to pursue their dreams. With $500 in their pocket and a lease signed on an apartment they drive the six hours to New York
Once they arrive the City, Ethan tries to get a job in the Theatre but can only find a waiters job in the theatre district believing that he can make contacts. But reality sets in and Ethan’s job alone cannot support them with the rent and bills so Natalie also tries to get a job.
Natalie’s dream has always been to work within publishing as an Editor and as her mom’s has always wanted her to put her English Degree to some use.
As she applies for jobs she registers with an employment agency although she does not hold her breathe in hearing from them. Until one afternoon the agency calls to say that she has an interview as an office assistant within an Architects firm. Natalie checks her wardrobe and decides she has nothing to wear for her interview with a big firm in New York. So
Natalie decides to go shopping and spends money that she and Ethan does not have on an outfit to secure the interview at the architects.
Andrew Saben is doing the job he has dreamed about since he was a young boy. His life is lonely and he work long hours in a job he loves, until that day he happens to walk in on the interviews for his new office assistant. As Andrew walks in a sees Natalie he needs to get to know this woman better.
As Natalie starts working at the firm she has some choice moments with Andrew which makes her think about the relationship with Ethan. Ethan has been her rock and she believes she still is in love with him but the sexy prince charming is putting doubts in her mind.
You believe you are with Natalie trying to decide between these two men and although the book sets you up for the next one in the series you do feel that you want to start the next book straight away to see how this love triangle ends.
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell, is a new adult romance that was so very easy to get lost in. I loved the author’s attention to detail and the very strong three main characters in this story made it very easy for me to get lost in the book. I was drawn into this book from page one because I was able to really connect with the main character Natalie.
Ethan and Natalie want to follow their dreams! The pack up and leave Iowa and make the way to New York City. Ethan has been Natalies life for so long, so she knew she would follow him anywhere. Ethan was able to find a job very fast while she was not. Before long, she sees that this move might not be the dream she thought it would be. Finally she is offered a job and then enters Drew. She starts to see that maybe the life she has seen for herself might not be what she wants as she is able to get to know her boss Drew. The book gets messy, Natalie is confused and hates that Ethan doesn’t spend time with her, Ethan is jealous of Drew and says things that really hurt Natalie, and Drew, finally able to fall for someone who is already with someone, forces Natalie to make a choice. This book drew me right in, the book made me angry, the book made me laugh and I Loved every single second of it. While, yes this book does bring up cheating, and it’s not something that I would do, it is something that happens in everyday life and it’s something I do read about. I was able to connect with each of the characters in so many levels and for me, I can get lost when I am able to connect with characters. I simply loved this book and loved this author and cannot wait till I am able to read the other books in this series. I give this book four stars. I found this book to be beautifully written and believable which is so important to me as a Reader.
I read My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell. This book for me is a 4 star book. This is a book about a couple that uproots their life and experiences so many changes and new things. This book is the first in a series and has a HEA. Natalie and her boyfriend Ethan have been together for a long time. He is all she knows and the only one she's ever loved. They embark on a new scary adventure together to follow Ethan's dreams. Only not everything happens as they planned.
Natalie Vassar is a girl who moves from Iowa to New York City so that she can be with her longtime boyfriend. She is supportive of his dreams and wants to make the transition easier for him and herself so while he finds a job easily she struggles until she finally finds one. That is where she meets Drew. There is some tension between Ethan and Natalie because he works so much and Natalie is starting to feel the effects of that.
"And then I saw his eyes: intensely green. The kind you don’t see very often and when you do, you stop and take notice. There was no denying he was attractive, more than attractive, and when he smiled at me, it was even more obvious."
Drew Saben works at the firm where Natalie is finally hired. After some issues with Ethan, Drew and Natalie start spending time together. Drew is a gentleman going so far as to make sure Natalie has things that she needs. On a trip, Drew let's Natalie know where he stands and everything happens from there.
"He pulled away slowly, resting his warm palm on my cheek as he looked into my eyes, smiling that same smile I’d fallen in love with the moment we met."
This was a new author to me. I really enjoyed the author's writing style. It sucked me right into the book and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I would recommend this book to anyone.
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell is book 1 of the Tomorrow series.
Natalie Vasser has moved from Iowa to New York City with her boyfriend Ethan of four years, not listening to her family she followed her heart. After Ethan fails to get the job he hopes for, Natalie realises to make rent, buy food, to basically live she must start job hunting. Wanting to work for a publisher she knows she must settle for whatever can bring the money in. landing a job for a partner in an Architects firm, Natalie is ecstatic she can finally contribute.
Andrew Saben is thirty and a partner in an Architects firm, life is lonely but he loves his job and knew this is what he wanted to do since he was eight. By chance he walks into an interview for his temporary assistant and he knows he needs this beautiful woman working for him.
Natalie believes she loves Ethan and he is the man for her, but after a few encounters with Drew she is starting to doubt herself completely. Is Ethan her happy ever after? Or is it this god of a man who treats women like princesses? Natalie must make the hardest choice, but which one will she choose?
Megan Nugen Isbell has set the scene for a good series I think. Natalie feeling are described wonderfully throughout, and you can sense her struggles. I am not the number fan of cheating stories, but I can’t wait to get my teeth into the next book to find out what happens next. I loved the relationship between both Natalie/ Ethan and then the relationship between Natalie/ Drew. There were times I just wanted to slap Natalie and scream “What are you doing woman!” but all in all very good book, to be honest I could not put it down.
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell is book one in THE TOMORROW series. This is the first book I have read by Megan and I was not disappointed! I was immediately drawn right into this book and could not put it down! I read the whole thing in one day. This is the story of Natalie Vasser. Natalie and Ethan, her boyfriend of four years, leave small-town Iowa and everything and everybody they have ever known to start a new life together in New York City. When they arrive in New York, they only have $500 to their names. Ethan dreams of working on Broadway in the audio department but until that dream happens he finds a job working in an Italian restaurant. He has to work long hours to pay the bills. During this time, Natalie starts to feel very alone considering Ethan spends so much time at work and she doesn’t know anyone else in the city. That is until she gets an interview at an architectural firm. During the interview, the “big boss” Andrew ‘Drew’ Saben walks in and is immediately taken by Natalie. I immediately was drawn to character of Drew. He is warm, loving, and caring and even though I do not ever condone cheating I really was rooting for Drew even from the very first chapter that he was introduced because he was such a loveable, well-written character. The more time Natalie and Drew spend together the more enamored they become with each other and that’s when things start to get interesting. This is a wonderfully written story and I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book in the series, The Heart of Tomorrow. Pick up this book, you will not regret it!
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell is a five star novel. As this story gets introduced, I felt like I was back to being 22 again and going on an adventure. Like Natalie, I also moved far away from home with hopes of something better. Natalie’s boyfriend Ethan wants to work on Broadway. As an audiovisual designer, he wants to be where the action is. Iowa definitely is not that place. He decides he wants to live in New York City so that he can be close to the action and hopefully be working on a show sooner rather than later. He convinces Natalie that she is going to move with him. After graduating with an English degree, she knows she could work anywhere but New York definitely sounds promising. They pack up their whole lives and head east. Once in the city, Ethan immediately finds work as a server in a little Italian restaurant. It looks like a promising job for him because of its location in the theater district. It takes Natalie a little longer to find a job. She has put her resume in all over the place but she is feeling dejected on multiple levels. She has nothing to do all day while Ethan is at work except watch tv. Finally, she gets a call for an interview. Then she receives the call that she got the job. She cannot wait to have something to do. As she starts her job, she can't believe how handsome her boss is. Drew is a partner at an architecture firm and is a rising star in the industry. Natalie knows how attractive he is, but also knows her relationship with Ethan is more important. With blurred lines of morality, Natalie needs to decide if Ethan is her forever or if Drew is more alluring.
Book 1 in the Tomorrow Series, My Tomorrow, by Megan Nugen Isbell is a roller-coaster of emotions from start to finish that will definitely leaving you feeling a book hangover when you are done! Natalie is a young woman on a journey to build a new life with her college boyfriend, Ethan, in New York City. Excited and ready to get a jump start on being adults they never realize how naive they were when planning the move. The character of Natalie is very well thought out and realistic to how I could view this actually happening in real life. So many times we read books that are far fetched, but in my opinion these circumstances could actually happen. When following Ethan to New York to follow his dream she never imagined the strain it would put on their relationship. Finding jobs, paying bills, and sleeping seem to be the normal now while finding time for each other falls by the side. Finally landing a job, Natalie figures this is finally everything coming together. She never expected Drew though. Now with Ethan working more than ever and spending more time with Drew she isn't sure what she wants. I got sucked into this book for a lot of different reasons, but the one thing I loved most was the writing style of this author. I did not feel like parts were watered down and I felt all the scenes were extremely thought out. It starts out kind of slow, but once it gets going it feel speed away with drama and more drama leading to a explosive, sad, happy, angsty conclusion. It literally has just about everything you could ever want in a book! I urge you to pick up this book!
My Tomorrow by Megan Nugen Isbell is the first instalment in The Tomorrow Series.
It follows a couple, Ethan and Natalie, who have left their hometown in Iowa with just $500 and a jeep to move to New York pursuing Ethan’s dream to work on Broadway as a music tech. Natalie joined Ethan on his adventure as they’d been together for four years and she wanted to be with him for the rest of their lives. At the beginning life seems rosy but Ethan can’t find a job doing what he loves so starts working long shifts at an Italian restaurant. Natalie finds work at an architectural firm to her surprise - maybe her appointment has more to do with her new boss Drew. Drew is very easy on the eye and Natalie finds herself spending more time with him especially when Ethan works instead of spending time with her. When Ethan forgets Natalie’s birthday she ends up spending time with Drew and this causes her to examine her feelings and disappointment with their new life. Following a work trip to Japan, Natalie finds herself in a dilemma and agonises over telling Ethan. Ethan has managed to land the job of his dreams whilst she’s been away and now thinks that the future is going to be just as he’d planned. However, a Thanksgiving dinner at Drew’s home brings the situation to a head and decisions have to be made about their future.
This book was really easy to read, I’m not sure that I liked Natalie but the storyline will keep you interested until the final page. I would give this book 4**** and I’m looking forward to the next instalment in the series.

Drew Saben owns his architectural firm, has earned every accolade he has received and is a much sought after bachelor living in the big city. He actually reminds me of a younger “Mr Big” from Sex and the City.
This is part one of a series and while it didn’t end in a traditional “cliffhanger”, I just know there is more of this story to come.
This is the first book I’ve read by Megan Nugen Isbell and I really enjoyed her writing style. It’s a single POV narration, yet I was able to feel the angst and emotions of the other characters. I look forward to reading the future “chapters” in this story and I hope that Natalie’s friends Court and Anna Beth are featured in their own stories.
We meet Natalie when she and her boyfriend Ethan are moving to New York from their small town life in Iowa to try to start their lives after having graduated college. Of course you know everyone always thinks things will be better then how they actually turn out in the end when you move to a new place to start over. Ethan gets a job first working, and then Natalie does, what she doesn't expect is the intense pull she feels towards her boss Drew Saben. Being one of three assistants has it's perks, she doesn't have to do all of the work, but she still does quite a lot. Things seem to go okay with Ethan and Natalie for most of the book aside from a few fights every now and then, until she decides to surprise him one night at. Thus ensues tears and leads Natalie to talking to Drew and well their relationship grows from that night. Things seem to become even more tense through the book as Natalie and Drew’s relationship takes turns that she isn’t sure what to really do with and as she starts to realize that her and Ethan’s relationship isn’t what it was before coming to New York. I honestly have to say that I love all of the twists and turns that this book took and I loved Natalie and Drew and Ethan. I hope that if you take the time to read this book that you love it as much as I did.
4 stars **** My Tomorrow by Megan Nigel Isbell is book one of the Tomorrow series. Natalie Vasser is a small town girl who has moved from Iowa to New York with her boyfriend Ethan. Ethan and Natalie have been together for four years. Ethan is trying to land his dream job in broadway. When things don't go as planned he finds another job and is working all the time. Natalie is lonely and not finding work as easily. Natalie finally get a call and becomes an assistant for a successful architect.
Drew Saben is the owner of his own architectural firm. He is a sought after bachelor of New York.
Natalie and Drew find themselves spending a lot of time together at work and outside of work. Which leaves Natalie feeling guilty. But she can't seem to stay away from Drew who is considerate and a gentlemen to her.
Natalie finds herself torn between two men. One who she has known and loved for four years. And another who gives her attention and anything she could want. Who will she choose?
This was my first book to read by this author. The book was very well written. I can't wait to read the next book in the series
My Tomorrow is about a couple who move from Iowa to New York to start their careers. Natalie and Ethan have dated for four years and together they embark on the new big city life. With only a small amount of money they begin to start as any young couple would, they take jobs that will pay the bills but not careers that will last a lifetime. They discover the hardships of trying to make it on their own both financially and personally. Their relationship begins to struggle as they grow further apart with the financial strain.
Natalie begins a friendship with her new boss Drew and he’s there for her when Ethan can’t be.
I understand Ethan’s back and forth with Natalie and maybe that’s what pushes her away. But to find solace in another man’s arms is not the answer I was looking for. However, I was reminded of young love lasting forever. Sometimes tomorrow isn't what we had planned, sometimes it is better than we imagined.
I encourage you to take the leap and give My Tomorrow the open mindedness it deserves. Bravo Megan Nugen Isbell well done!
I'll start with the potentially bad. My Tomorrow is very solidly a New Adult book, so it's not surprising that there's a strong thread of moral ambiguity running through the plot. In the end, I felt like that element made the book more real and deep, but if you want a simple romance with no cheating, this story might not be for you.
Okay, with that out of the way, I can definitely say that this is Isbell's best book to date. As soon as you meet Drew, you'll fall in love with him and will be unable to put the book down. Drew is a handsome, wealthy, self-made architect who is, first and foremost, the perfect gentleman. So what's he to do when attracted to his assistant who's ensconced in a four-year-relationship with her live-in boyfriend?
My other warning --- you'll be incapable of turning the last page without yearning for book two. Isbell can't write fast enough for me! I hope the sequel comes out very soon.
so this first book is definitely different to the authors other series. A Couple - Ethan and Natalie, move from Iowa to New York City, now i haven't been to either of these places but i must assume it would have been a very big move, small town to massive city... so obviously there would be some tension... Both trying to live with what they have.
Enter Drew Saben...and things start to get a bit interesting. Now i don't condone what happened in the book, and you have to read what i mean, i know it happens in the "real world" but its always sad. Natalie came off to me as a bit of a princess, she made this sacrifice to move with Ethan, she could have easily said no...but i get it,....true love and all (or so you would think) and Ethan was doing the best that he could with what he had...so Natalie did get on my nerves...but as they say things happen for a reason...and Drew Saben was that reason...
It's hard for me to pick a favorite book of Megan's because they are all so equally wonderful in their own ways. However, this one is a front runner for me. The story of Natalie and Ethan's journey to the big city life is one emotional roller coaster I was glad that I rode! Natalie and Ethan have been inseparable for the last four years in college. Taking a chance on their love and following Ethan's dreams Natalie moves to New York. Trying to provide for their household, Natalie gets lucky and begins work for an architect. Although the money is a blessing, her undeniable attraction to her boss is not. This book was so well written! I wasn't sure who I wanted for Natalie. I fell in love with each of these characters. I was all over the place reading this book and have thought about it often since reading. I can only hope and dream for a sequel to this story.
This book by Isbell is an interesting romance book. Her female character has grown up in a fairly conservative background, but agrees to move to New York with her lover. Once there he begins to change and she begins to wonder if she has not made a mistake with him. Another male appears and the rest of the story you will have to read. I enjoyed it.

Wow Megan you wrote an amazing book. I loved it and the way it turned out was what I was hoping for. I loved Drew. The way you wrote Natalie was spot on. I look forward to reading more from you.
