Obsahuje méně známé informace, jako okolnosti zrodu Broučího účesu, popis jejich návštěvy v Indii a seznámení s Bobem Dylanem, i ty známější, jež se týkají jejich vystoupení v show Eda Sullivana, natáčení ve studiu Abbey Road a televizního přenosu skladby „All You Need Is Love". Během třináctileté existence se kapele podařilo víc, než jiným za celý život.

This book takes some of the major events in the Beatles history (I would say 'Greatest', but I am not sure you can include Lennon's assassination or George's death as a 'great' moment by any stretch of the word) and uses them as to give a potted history of the band. As an idea it is pleasant enough, although it is riddled with minor errors, which are likely to irritate fans. Just as an example, it is said that Paul McCartney labelled Pete Best as 'mean, moody and magnificent' when it was Bob Wooler, that John's uncle gave him his first harmonica, when it was a bus driver on a trip to Scotland and that John was a 'Tory' - despite his sneering remark when questioned by a reporter about comments Edward Heath had made about their accents of, "we don't vote for them anyway!" (Wilson was eager to give them their Variety Club Awards for personality of the year in 1963 and his praise of the band surely helped obtain the younger vote). These are just a few example - the book is littered with many more and, although a short and enjoyable read, it also has a Lennon bias which is hard to overlook. Some parts are interesting, but just beware that many of the details are incorrect.

Nenáročný doplněk knihovničky fanouška Beatles. Pro toho, v podstatě až na pár pikanterií ze života Beatles a kapitol z období po rozpadu slavné čtyřky vč. odchodu George Harrisona, nic nového. Nicméně příjemné čtení v krátkých kapitolách dle významných dat, a ještě příjemnější při poslechu jejich nesmrtelné hudby. Věřím, že pro méně zasvěceného a vzdáleného zájemce o chlapce z Liverpoolu může být tento titul skvělým začátkem;-) Za mě 3 hvězdicky, tedy dobrý:-)

This book has a misleading title because I would rather say most important moments. Had to skip some parts for the sake of staying 13, but has the inside story of some stuff that people need to know as a Beatles fan.
