BEYOND THE SCALPEL, CONTROL IS A CAGE. IN THE HEART OF THE DESERT, CHAOS IS A CURE.
Dr. Michael Norlan is a god of neurosurgery. Meticulous, cold, and untouchable, he’s spent twenty years ruling his operating room with clinical precision. He doesn’t see patients; he sees machines to be fixed. But when a single, microscopic tremor shatters his "Ice King" persona, Michael is stripped of his title and exiled to The Meridian—a brutal, primitive desert retreat where his prestige is worth less than the dirt.
Neal Reed is a man who knows all about breakage. A former combat medic with a rugged edge and a mouth that irritates Michael to the bone, Neal has no time for Michael’s silk shirts or his elite ego. He’s lived through the blood and the chaos of war, and he’s determined to strip Michael down to the raw, honest truth.
What starts as a bitter rivalry in the heat of the sun ignites into a searing, undeniable desire. Michael has always been the one in charge, but in Neal’s calloused hands, he’s forced to surrender the one thing he’s guarded his heart.
THE CROWN OR THE CHAOS?
When a medical disaster strikes in the mud and the dark, Michael is faced with the ultimate choice. Does he return to his sterile, lonely tower of power, or does he finally embrace the man who knows how to handle him?
One-click for a spicy, high-heat MM enemies-to-lovers medical romance that proves love is the only thing we can't control.
The cover didn’t fully match with the story, Neal is supposed to be taller than Michael. Also there few numerous inconsistencies.
Romance was meh, there wasn’t enough proper build up, zero chemistry or any believable development between MCs. The medical details were not bad though.
