PRE: What Was Online Before the Internet Knew
In 1999, Danny Saltz is one of the best packagers in the warez scene. AXIOM has run clean for five years — cracking software before its retail date, releasing under a name that the underground respects. Danny writes the NFOs. He keeps the clocks.
Then they start losing. Release after release, a group called THRESHOLD gets there first. Someone inside AXIOM is feeding them.
PRE is the story of what happens when the thing you built in the dark gets exposed to the light — and what it costs to walk away from the only world you were ever good at.
Based on the culture of the 1990s software underground, PRE is a crime thriller about loyalty, identity, and the moment before everything changes.
Book Three of The Internet Generation series.
