OMG THIS WAS WILD!
I read the first book in this series and it wasn’t quite it for me. But this one…WOW! I immediately was hooked.
The absolute insanity and delicious terror gave this book an instant 5 stars for me.
It was the perfect erotic horror for spooky season. I loved all the characters and the twists. Twists I truly didn’t see coming. Not to mention how much happened in such a short amount of pages. My jaw spent so long opened I think it’s out of socket now…which maybe Kitty could appreciate 😈😅
Also KITTY IS MY FAV LITTLE UNHINGED WEIRDO

Not gonna lie... I got a little squeamish at a certain part. It was definitely beginning to lean into splatter punk territory. I'm not shy of gore/blood/violence but it was making me cringe. It was done well though.
And that ending? Damn. Didn't see that coming. And what do you mean TBC?? Ugh, I need to know more.

Lena and Ben arrive at their cabin retreat, finding it very isolated, surrounded by woods and a huge lake. There's no Wi-Fi and barely any cell signal. Little do the couple know, when they fall asleep that night, two masked intruders will enter the cabin and throw them into a whirlwind nightmare.
The man, "Daddy," hides in their closet, while his accomplice "Kitty," slams the door to wake them. Ben is ordered to go check out the noise, and quickly calls for Lena to join him. In the living room, the couple sees an open hatch in front of the fireplace, leading down into the basement. They remain there just staring at it, when they hear a noise from below.
Lena immediately wants to leave, but Ben demands she stay with him. He insists they paid too much to leave over a noise. He will come to regret this decision. Wanting a flashlight, he asks Lena to get her phone, but when she returns to their room, she cannot find it anywhere.
Making due with one from the kitchen instead, Ben leads the way down. They see a large metal door with chains wrapped around it, padlocked. Lena insists she won't be able to stay in this place until she knows what's behind the door. They break the lock off and open the door, only to find pieces of human bodies and blood, some still wet - obviously fresh.
Lena races upstairs, desperate to get away from the cabin, but when Ben runs out after her, he points out that all four tires have been slashed. Now the couple is stranded at the cabin, no cell phone, no Wi-Fi, no way out and at the mercy of the pair of murderous psychos stalking them.
Who are Daddy and Kitty? What do they want with the couple? Will Lena and Ben be able to survive the night?

This was a quick, easy read and I was happy to discover there's a sequel. I'll definitely be checking that out, and hopefully I'll get more background on everything.

The tension + twists had my stomach turning while somehow keeping me completely glued to the pages. 😳 This was INSANE.
Definitely a must-read if you enjoy horror erotica, but PLEASE check your TWs before going in!

Oh my god the fucking plot twist in this book had my jaw on the freaking floor! This is my fourth arc read for this author and I have devoured every single one in one sitting!
This novella follows Ben and Lena who book a cabin that takes a quick turn by two strangers in mask who want to play a sick game!

I read it in one sitting (which never happens #ADHD 😂)! The music playlist paired with the book was a PERFECT fit and genuinely elevated the experience.
I loved how funny it could be without losing the horror. I definitely cringed a time or three.

Okay first off Kerrigan I Love You, but WTF!! The ending you gave us is not fair at all!! I will not be patiently waiting for Part!! Severances was completely different then Overnight and I loved every second of it! This book is an Erotic Horror Novella, but it packs a punch with all the details it has!! Please please check your trigger warnings!! While some triggers don’t bother some doesn’t mean they won’t bother others.
Lena and Ben decide to go to a cabin which is in the middle of nowhere. While the both of them were expecting a nice quiet get away, they did not expect it to be the worst night of their lives. Lena hears a loud slam while laying in bed so she try’s to wake Ben up who manages to sleep right through it. When Ben goes to investigate Ben notices something off and tells Lena to come out of the bedroom and look. When she comes out she finds a hatch in the floor in the living room! They see a staircase that leads into the darkness. They chose to investigate and find something very strange and disturbing. Lena decides it’s time to go but, when they get to the car Ben notices all the tires are flat! Someone wants them to stay. Before they can get a plan together to escape an explosion of glass comes through the car. Lena is ripped out by her hair and dragged back to the cabin. The last thing Lena sees before everything goes black is Ben running to her and being knocked down by a Kitty!!

The thoughts of utter filth, degradation, sin and disgusting feral behavior are what you’ll find in this lovely novella. I say this not in bad taste, but as a warning you’re getting all the nasty that you crave with this book. Kerrigan Shane has once again blown it out of the horror genre with this erotic pitch black horror! The things she spins and is able to write about but keep you utterly hooked… I truly cannot imagine putting the book down for a moment and soak it all up in one sitting. It’s worth it to push through- you’ll be kicking your legs and screaming- probably for more than one reason by the end!
The way the story is able to twist and turn- you never know what to expect with the way she throws a curve ball you NEVER saw coming. I don’t think even a mind reader or clairvoyant could see what kind of jaw dropping twists she can manage. If you’re a fan of the feral filth, the disgusting and depraved, the absolute worst of the worst but with just enough to keep the eyes bulging and the intense heat then you have to “suffer” through this just as the characters have to suffer through it.
It’s a multi POV, 5/5 spice combo that will require a glass of wine or iced coffee to help quench your thirst as your mouth will be dry from the fact she has your jaw on the floor and you are panting through it.

Well that easily became a 5 ⭐️ read for me. This was a finish in one sitting, can't put this book down, masterpiece of horror. I came for the erotic horror and this surpassed my expectations. Kerrigan Shane, ma'am 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 that was 🔥. After reading Overnight I knew this would be another one for the top tier list. I just didn't expect that this would leave me wanting so much more, in like the very best way.
Lena and her husband Ben are going on a little getaway, to a cabin in the woods. They have some things they need to work out in their marriage and this was supposed to be the trip to solve it all. Or so they thought. Two strangers show up and drastically change their getaway.
The banter between Lena and Ben was great. It kept me laughing. Truly what marriage is like 😅. Until the entire thing turned in a Strangers esc nightmare. Then my black heart truly came alive and thrived in the blood and gore.

There was so much violent, dark, action packed chaos in this quick novella that I could not put it down. All I kept thinking was, oh my lawwdddd… where is this going next?
I can’t say I’m surprised that this was another beautifully crafted erotic horror by @author.kerriganshane . I was completely immersed from beginning to end and felt every emotion so vividly. That lingering, unsettled feeling it left me with was absolute perfection, it’s exactly what I hope for every time I pick up this genre.

Kerrigan did it again with this book! This was so good that I devoured it in no time and now I’m left STARVING to know what happens next!!! The deranged psychopath that Kitty is, had my jaw on the floor and couldn’t pick it back up the whole time. I questioned my own sanity when I giggled at Kitty and her craziness. Kerrigan girl, I’m gonna need some more here! 😉

This had me pulling a face through most of it
Wow I was grossed out through alot of that, check those triggers!!! It is pitch black for a reason
I felt like I was in a horror movie through that, there is no redeeming qualities in these characters Kitty and Daddy are complete psychos
Lena and Ben go on a cabin getaway, for a fresh start and you guessed it, it isn't the relaxing time away they were expecting. After being woken up with a sudden noise they go to investigate and once finding a hidden room they decide to bolt for it, only to find out they can't get away
If you like gore, horror, pitch black with plenty of triggers then definitely check this out, this author always knows how to throw a twist or 2 into her books that always have me coming back for more

Now this was perfection.
The blood. The gore. That ending?!?!?! I need more of Lena's story immediately.
This is a dark, twisted novella that I absolutely inhaled. I finished it in about an hour because once I started, there was no putting it down. Every chapter had me thinking, what the actual fuck is happening?!
This is only my second book by Kerrigan Shane, but consider me a fan. The writing is addictive, the pacing is relentless, and somehow she packs so much into such a short book.
I don't usually read trigger warnings because I have very few, but if you do have triggers, I'd definitely recommend checking them before diving in.
10/10. No notes. Bring on the next one.

Okay this may be a bit long but please stay with me.
This book right here..... had me feeling so many emotions. If you are a fan of Kerrigan's writing, this will be right up your alley.
This book took so many turns and twists i think a may have gotten whiplash. The writing was phenomenal, the characters were so pronounced that there was no questions as to what was happening.
Kitty and Daddy were as twisted as I thought they would be, but th he ending truly left me kind of shocked. This is a book that had me clutching my pearls the entire time. I questioned life choices, but kept going.
Let's get ready for part 2!!!

Shut the fuck up right now. That was so good.
This is my second Kerrigan Shane book and let me tell you twisted is her specialty.
Lena and Ben are just trying to get away for the weekend and everything goes wrong so very quickly. Funny how your past can sneak up on you. You think you know where it’s going .. you don’t. I am so hoping that there will be more to this story.
Comparing this to overnight this one definitely had more plot and less spice; but it was so good! I am a reader that needs answers, if a book has a cliff hanger ending I am immediately opening up the next book. This did end with a cliff hanger but not rage bait so thanks for that haha.

We meet Daddy and Kitty who have some fun planned for the couple.
They hear a noise and notice the basement hatch open and neither of them left it open. Lena lets Ben talk her into investigating. Running right into the trouble in typical horror movie fashion!
The twists and turns in this book are unexpected. I enjoyed this novella and would recommend checking your triggers before diving in!

Holy f*ckballs and in the name of all that is left of my sanity what did I just read.
This book was the best kind of self torture. I honestly feel personally targeted by the author. I can read pretty much anything but this book lives up to the horror genre- it knew exactly how to riddle me with anxiety about things that go "bump" in the night and how to make me want to vomit with how immersive the writing is - and still I kept reading. I just couldn't help myself.
This plot twists. The fear. The way I now can't sleep. THE CLIFFHANGER. I cannot wait for the next instalment!

Where's kitty
This was fun and twisted that I couldn't get enough I loved it. A couple booking a cabin to get away fund themselves with some sick and twisted people that want to end them. But things turn when the girl they captured and the captive turned out they know each other and she was out I make her sisters life a disaster alk because of a little accident that happens which they were teenagers which then ended up in mental hospital. I was hooked thou the whole story and couldn't get enough. I have smoked everything from this author and can't wait to read more

well that was a crazy quick journey. I love good shorter stories where you can read it in one sitting. this had a twist I don’t think any of us saw coming which was unique to this genre.
I think a backstory on Kitty and Daddy would be a fun ride as well. I’m excited that the next installment will be what happened to Lena.

Kerrigan went and did it again! Another twisted dark, quick read. The way she can tell a story and not falter and have a the twist at the end is amazing. The detail in the gore paired with the dark storytelling is so smooth I couldn’t put it down! This story has 4 POVS and seeing every side of this story and being able to hear their thoughts is exactly what it needed to get the plot moving. Lena the FMC is a fearless and strong willed FMC and I cannot wait to read the next book!!

I really enjoyed this book. Not as much as Overnight by this author but it was still good. It wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be but i was still like WTF lol . This author actually got me wanting to read more horror eroticas so what does that say about me ?? Lol Now when it came to the plot twist , my head literally blew up because WTF lol. Then of course we get to the end and it’s a GOTDAMN CLIFFHANGER !!!! I need book 2 because I feel like it’s REALLY gon kick off .
