Lily Victoria's "A Perfect Fit" is a pretty good enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating romance between Isabelle (FMC) and Jackson (MMC), who were high school rivals and meet several years later as adults. The two of them challenged and pushed each other about anything and everything during high school, arguing, bickering, and competing to see who was best over and over and over again. There is no love lost between them. When they meet again years later on a plane ride back to New York City, it turns out that Jackson is preparing to move back to town to become CEO of his late father's marketing firm. Despite what her parents wanted for her (to become a lawyer), Isabelle went to fashion school and owns her own independent online clothing boutique. She has big dreams of being a major fashion designer. They are both still endlessly competitive with each other even after years. They keep running into one another in New York, their orbits crossing and their competitive streaks softening. As Isabelle and Jackson get to know each other through their fake-dating scheme, they realize that their snap decisions about each other were painfully wrong and, if they can admit it to themselves (and each other!!), they may have liked each other more than they let on. Isabelle and Jackson have terrific banter with one another. Their chemistry does come off a little mean at times, but as their feelings towards each other soften, they stop fighting so much, and their animosities melt away. I liked watching them slowly realize they had been falling in love since they were in high school. Jackson is portrayed as a suave but d0uchey and overconfident man who values winning over everything, but the longer the story goes on, we discover that he's actually very dedicated, kind, and caring. Isabelle has been hurt deeply in the past by the people who were supposed to care the most for her. She is cautious, but believes in the goodness in people. She tries to focus on herself and what she wants, even when those around her might make her feel like she's not good enough or doing the right thing. The way Jackson supports Isabelle's fashion dreams made me swoon! The way he stood up to her parents was great, too! Honestly, these characters act much more mature than 24-year-olds. I think both characters display great growth throughout the story... that is, until the third act when it all goes off the rails, and Jackson squanders any goodwill he had built up in one fell swoop. I *guess* his mindset might make sense to *someone,* but not to me. I wanted to SLAP him. I think the third act dragged the score down a little for me... it just felt out of nowhere for a couple who had previously communicated pretty well up until that point. Apart from this, I found this to be a charming book that was easy to read and quickly paced.

Watching an old rivalry give way to attraction made this such an easy romance to get into.
Isabelle and Jackson had great chemistry, and I especially liked watching all that competitiveness slowly turn into something softer. Their history gave their interactions plenty of personality, while the fake-dating setup created so many opportunities for them to see each other differently.
Isabelle stood out with her determination to pursue fashion despite the pressure to follow her family’s expectations. Jackson took a little longer to win me over, but seeing his softer, more supportive side come through made it worth the wait. I liked how they pushed each other to be honest about what they actually wanted from life, and their friends added plenty of warmth and personality along the way.
The third-act drama felt a little more forced than the rest of their relationship, especially after how well they had communicated beforehand, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
It was an easy romance to get lost in, with plenty of fun moments along the way.

A Perfect Fit was exactly the kind of romance I needed: witty, warm, addictive, and guaranteed to leave me with a ridiculous smile. Isabelle and Jackson deserve some credit for that, because their constant bickering had me entertained from beginning to end. 😂
What I loved most was that their rivalry never felt like a simple excuse to throw two people together. There was history behind it, and you could feel how much of their personalities had been shaped by years of trying to outdo each other. Their conversations had that perfect “I absolutely cannot stand you… so why do I keep looking at you?” energy, and watching the rivalry turn into genuine understanding was so much fun.
Isabelle was a favourite of mine. She’s confident, passionate and determined, but there’s vulnerability underneath, especially when it comes to the expectations placed on her. I loved that her journey wasn’t just about finding love—it was about trusting herself enough to pursue the life she actually wants. Her fashion dreams felt like an essential part of who she is.
And Jackson? He definitely had some work to do before I could fully get behind him. 😂 But seeing the layers beneath his confident, competitive exterior was worth it. I loved how he became someone who genuinely believed in Isabelle and her dreams. Their relationship worked because they challenged each other without diminishing one another.
The supporting cast was another highlight. Jen, Aaron, Anna and the others brought so much personality without stealing the spotlight. I genuinely wanted more of them!
The third-act conflict felt a little forced, especially considering how well these two communicated for most of the story. Still, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the book.
Overall, A Perfect Fit gave me everything I want from a rom-com: chemistry, hilarious banter, emotional growth, lovable characters and plenty of reasons to keep smiling. A five-star read for me! 💗

I really enjoyed quite a few things about this book, but there was also some things that just didn’t work for me.
First, i love the cover of this book! It’s so beautiful, and while we all like to say we don’t judge a book by its cover, we absolutely do! 😂
I really loved our FMC. Isabelle was such a strong MC. There was a ton of growth by the end of
the book. She was a strong woman working toward her dreams even if she didn’t have the support of her loved ones. I really found her likeable and enjoyed her character A LOT.
For whatever reason, i wasn’t super loving the MMC. Something about Jackson didn’t sit well with me, but i have no idea what it is cuz i couldn’t pinpoint it. i’m thinking it’s more just personal preference because he has a lot of growth as well. He was super protective over Bella and was overall an OK MMC.
I adored Jen and Aaron. I want a book about them. They were such strong side characters. They didn’t overtake, but added to the story and made me as a reader want more of them (especially them TOGETHER 😉).
The 3rd act conflict actually infuriated me. I think that Jackson could have gotten exactly where he got without it. It felt dump, and it wasn’t even a full breakup. It was more him word vomiting and Bella just taking it that way. I didn’t like it. I don’t mind a 3rd act conflict if it adds to the story / is natural and while his breakdown was natural and totally responsible the break up felt… dumb?
Lastly, i wanted more SHOWING. The more i read the more i realized there was more telling than showing. Now, from the time that they finally got together to the end of the book was some of the author’s best writing. I was wrapped into the story and couldn’t put the book down, but there were times that i was being told so much and it felt like fluff that could have been removed.
Overall, i did enjoy this! I would definitely read more
by this author …. ESPECIALLY JEN & AARON.

First of all, I cannot get over how absolutely gorgeous this cover is. It perfectly captures the charm and romantic energy of Jackson and Isbelle's story, and immediately catches my attention.
Isabelle and Jackson are frenemies, who unexpectedly reunite on a flight back to New York City after nearly a decade without seeing one another. As someone who loves a good rivals-to-lovers romance, I was instantly invested, and the fake dating trope made it even better. Their chemistry was undeniable from the start, and their witty banter had me smiling throughout the book. One of my favourite parts was watching Jackson slowly realise that his feelings for Isabelle ran much deeper than simple rivalry.

This was a sweet, trope-filled contemporary romance with a fun high-school-rivals-to-lovers setup. Isabelle and Jackson unexpectedly reconnect years after graduation, and their fake-dating arrangement gives them plenty of opportunity for banter, tension, and finally seeing the softer sides of each other.
I enjoyed the dual POV and the way both characters had personal goals outside the romance. Isabelle’s determination to build her fashion business was especially lovely to follow, while Jackson’s journey involved figuring out what he truly wanted for himself. Their friends and family also added warmth and emotional support to the story.
The romance is very open-hearted and affectionate, with a protective hero, mutual attraction, and lots of sweet gestures. Some plot points felt a little over-the-top for me, and the story becomes quite emotionally dramatic toward the end, but readers who enjoy heartfelt, escapist rom-coms with a generous helping of angst will likely have a good time with this one.
Overall, A Perfect Fit is a cute and emotionally charged read about taking risks, chasing your dreams, and finding someone who supports you through the imperfect parts of life.

September 16, 2026Isabelle and Jackson were high school rivals who reunited on an international flight, only to find themselves in a fake dating situation while actually falling for each other.
First off, I want to say a HUGE congrats to Lily Victoria on this release! What a fun and sweet read, truly. I had a great time with A Perfect Fit and thought the banter, chemistry, and overall storyline with Isabelle and Jackson were great. The fact that he fell for Isabelle first was the icing on the cake, and the way he did all these things to show her that he didn't want their relationship to just be fake was so cute. Sometimes third-act breakups don't work for me, but the way it played out here fit well with the story. I wanted more with Jackson's family secret, but overall, this book was amazing!

Isabelle Curtis-Wong,is focusing on her fashion designing business,while still working part time as a barista,with no will of finding her happily ever ever after soon.Especially,after her last relationship ended with a text.
New York is calling Jackson Carter once again,after his father's company is in need of a CEO.
Isabelle & Jackson lived by getting picking on each others skin for as far as they can remember their faces but now,both,in a desperate need they have to couple up.So,they must meet one another all over again and pretend that love is the only things that define them,until it will actually do.
CHILDREN CALM DOWN.
Isabelle & Jackson's whole relationship from rivals,to fake dating to love birds was so funny to me.Especially,on those early scenes.OH MY GOD,your girl was laughing with tears.When I say those two cannot be in the same room without getting at each other throats! To be honest,they really reminded me cats fighting,and as I said and will say again ,the whole situation was so comical.Generally,A Perfect Fit,is one of the books that will make you giggle your feet,of course,get some smile lines in & generally keep you amazed for the whole ride of 373 pages.Isabelle,the main character,was a spectacular girl,with amazing humor,a deep passion for fashion designing and a heart that was one of its kind.I believe that this character was written for all the daughters that literally screwed the picture perfect,straight As image and followed their true passion. Accompanied with hardships,tears,and moments that they have to think twice about their decisions,even in the end success found them and it was all due to HER.Such a beautiful story line!I loved seeing being so in love with life & she gave us so many beautiful moments in the book making it a real,authentic rom-com!

THAT MAN NEEDED TO GET OFF THAT OFFICE,EVEN BEFORE HE STEPPED FOOT INSIDE.Come on take my hand and let's go.But,he managed,& I am so,so proud of him.As a man,he was THE NO1🥇 LOVER BOY,(girl he fall so deeply in love with Isa,to the point how you cannot possible understand that YOU HAVE BEEN YEARNING FOR THAT GIRL FOR ALMOST A DECADE,because I know you 50 pages in & I have got the vibes).But,that's how I like my bookish men,yearning,in absolute love and of course happy,and my boy Jackson was born for that girl.
Getting into the writing,I absolutely loved,how well formed was everything,how good was EVERYONE,we went heavy on best friends and giving them those specific personalities and page time for us readers,to see it was one of the aspects that made the book SO GOOD,while Isabelle's success story,in multiple fields in her life,was the 🍒 ON TOP.
An other aspect,that this book brought up,is how people change.It was shown especially through famly relationships and how a family can absolutely love each member,but at the same time for the actions to speak something completely different.Until that one moment,that every one will have a change of hard and unlimited support and love will flow between them.
Lastly,there is a new concept that I have spotted in some stories.
I am okay second chance romances,third act breakups,miscommunication etc.Whatever you throw to me I will read it,but I like my stories to have a flow.For example,not to have a very nice relationship,that we have seen fighting things together,be a team and suddenly miscommunication comes.It just does not add up.Something similar happened towards the end in here BUT in a really small %,of course it did not took us 20% to resolve stuff,making the book less good due to that condition.STILL IS AN AMAZING STORY💎

To be honest,they really reminded me cats fighting,and as I said and will say again ,the whole situation was so comical.Generally,A Perfect Fit,is one of the books that will make you giggle your feet,of course,get some smile lines in & generally keep you amazed for the whole ride of 373 pages.Isabelle,the main character,was a spectacular girl,with amazing humor,a deep passion for fashion designing and a heart that was one of its kind.I believe that this character was written for all the daughters that literally screwed the picture perfect,straight As image and followed their true passion. Accompanied with hardships,tears,and moments that they have to think twice about their decisions,even in the end success found them and it was all due to HER.Such a beautiful story line!I loved seeing being so in love with life & she gave us so many beautiful moments in the book making it a real,authentic rom-com!

Getting into the writing,I absolutely loved,how well formed was everything,how good was EVERYONE,we went heavy on best friends and giving them those specific personalities and page time for us readers,to see it was one of the aspects that made the book SO GOOD,while Isabelle's success story,in multiple fields in her life,was the 🍒 ON TOP.
An other aspect,that this book brought up,is how people change.It was shown especially through famly relationships and how a family can absolutely love each member,but at the same time for the actions to speak something completely different.Until that one moment,that every one will have a change of hard and unlimited support and love will flow between them.
Lastly,there is a new concept that I have spotted in some stories.
I am okay second chance romances,third act breakups,miscommunication etc.Whatever you throw to me I will read it,but I like my stories to have a flow.For example,not to have a very nice relationship,that we have seen fighting things together,be a team and suddenly miscommunication comes.It just does not add up.Something similar happened towards the end in here BUT in a really small %,of course it did not took us 20% to resolve stuff,making the book less good due to that condition.STILL IS AN AMAZING STORY💎

I honestly didn't know what to expect from Lily's debut novel, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance!
A Perfect Fit was a perfect blend of enemies to lovers and fake dating, with the additional slow burn for good measure! 🫠
Isabelle and Jackson have never seen eye to eye, even back in high school. Constantly trying to one up another - whether it be Math, English, Speech and debate or even gym class, everything became a competition between them.
Consider Isabelle surprised when she realises her flight back to NYC is next to none other than her high school nemesis, Jackson. It's been 8 years already and no love has been lost between them. Hoping she'll never be unfortunate enough to see him again in her lifetime, he happens to stroll into the coffee shop days later where she works and continues to be the thorn in her side.
Isabelle soon finds herself needing a fake boyfriend to the high school reunion. What better way to show your ex that you've moved on by showing up with a man by your side. She ends up begrudgingly proposing the idea to Jackson (obviously with some panic and peer pressure thrown in), to which he surprisingly accepts. He too has a request from Isabelle and with the scores now evening, it's showtime for them to convince people that they're in fact a couple.
And it's proven true to what others say.... there's a thin line between love and hate, and in this case, it might be love after all.... 🤭
Eeeeeeeeeeee.... Reading Jackson fall hook, link and sinker for the one woman he can't seem to stand was comedy gold. I do love a 'he falls first' trope and this one was a fine example. Isabelle and Jackson where just so so sweet together, and it became clear they were much more similar than they thought. Wanting to do their best in everything so as to not disappoint their parent(s), even if it makes them question if this is the right path they're meant to follow.
Isabelle is such a strong and resilient character, and I really found her brave to follow her dreams, despite her mothers not-so-positive views on her not following the family career path. She only wanted to make her parents proud, even when it means seeking validation from them - especially her high achieving mom. Jackson soon becomes that special person - her number one fan showing his unwavering support. Isabelle too becomes that pillar for Jackson, in encouraging him to chase his dreams.
I particularly adored the way in which their love story developed, which made it a delight to read. Jackson was such a romantic at heart, who would do absolutely anything if it meant keeping a smile on Isabelle's face. (I mean, the bookstore!!! 🥹🥰📚).
However, I did find the third act a little forced due to the sudden breakdown in communication, as Isabelle and Jackson have always been great at telling each other their opinions and thoughts 😂 but ultimately am I glad that they got their well deserved HEA... and the epilogue?? Officially DEAD 💗💗
So if you're looking for a book that will swoon you off your feet, this is definitely not one to sleep on!

Secondly, I absolutely love the cover of this book! It’s so beautiful. While we often say we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, the truth is that we all do!
In "A Perfect Fit," we meet Isabelle, a budding fashion designer juggling her passion with part-time work as a barista. After a rough breakup ended with a text message, she's not actively looking for love anytime soon. On the flip side, Jackson Carter is called back to New York to take charge of his father's company, which needs a CEO. These two have a history of playful rivalry, but now they find themselves in a predicament where they must team up, pretending that their new relationship is more than just a ruse.
Let me tell you, their dynamic is a riot! From their banter to the early scenes filled with hilarious tension, I found myself laughing out loud. Isabelle and Jackson remind me of two cats who can’t help but scrabble at each other, which made for an entertaining read. Their journey from adversaries to a fake relationship and eventually to genuine love was incredibly enjoyable.

When Jackson and Isabelle meet each other again on a plane back to New York, the animosity they left behind in high school regains its spark. They seem to keep running into each other, and it doesn't help that their best friends are hell bent on getting them together. When a situation arises that Isabelle needs a fake date to their high school reunion, Jackson doesn't pass up on the opportunity. They begin walking on a tightrope between love and hate, not knowing what side they want to be on.
I really liked the premise of this book. Seeing high school enemies turn into something more when they're older is something that feels so relatable. Everyone grows up and gets out of that high school phase where everything feels like life or death.
However, I didn't think it was written out that well. Neither Jackson nor Isabelle ever address their original feud and why they acted like that when they were kids. They just go straight into a romance, which is fine because they have so many other issues to deal with. It felt like 4 storylines all crammed into one story, and everything had to be resolved by the end, which is almost impossible to do in 400 pages. That's why I though the ending felt more like telling instead of showing.
Near the end, it felt like Jackson was doing a voice-over and telling how everything ended, just like in a 90's movie. I didn't like that, especially after just reading a whole book where so much felt like it was said and not showed or inferred by context clues.
I did like their love story, it just shouldn't have been promoted as an enemies to lovers, because they were never enemies in this story. Only their backstory contained a little bit of animosity. From the moment Jackson sees Isabelle on the plane, it's clear he has feelings for her. He even admits to always having had feelings for her, which didn't feel necessary. You can hate someone in high school and later change your feelings for that person. You don't have to realize you always had romantic feelings for them. It totally defeats the whole premise, which is sad. I would have liked to see more banter and tension between them, instead of immediately expressing your feelings after fake dating. Because it literally takes them 0.2 seconds to tell each other it feels real for them.
Jen and Aaron were funny best friends, even if I think their friendship evolved a bit quick and then stagnated. Aaron wanted to ask her out immediately and Jen seemed receptive, but then he never did it. He even got encouragement from Isabelle to do it. It only happened so late in the story, we only got to hear about it in the epilogue, which is way too late.

I quite enjoyed this book! 🤭 It wasn’t anything special in the romance genre itself, but I really liked our MCs and the author’s writing style, as well as the fashion designer aspect (and the message to follow your dreams, no matter how late in life you’re chasing them). 🫶🏼
Isabelle, our FMC, is a fashion designer. She is partly Asian, her mother’s from Hong Kong to be exact, and is treated the ‘Asian way’: her mom is upset that she chose a different career path than the prestigious law one, that everyone else from her family chose. And having a boyfriend? Met with scrutiny, especially when she was younger. I really liked the tidbits of Isabelle’s work we got to see, be it the fashion world or her barista job. 👀
Jackson, our MMC, inherits the CEO position at the marketing firm of his late father. He tries his best to get used to the new environment and the work itself, but it’s clear that he’s never wanted to pursue marketing, if we’re talking about passion. He more so felt obligated to continue his father’s legacy and I get it. Though it kind of hurts to read about him trying to push through and trying to gaslight himself that things will get better and that he’ll enjoy his work once he gets the hang of it. 🫣
Isabella and Jackson loved competing with each other back in high school and just because eight years passed doesn’t mean that their competitive streak did. I loved the banter between the two and reading about the bets and challenges they set themselves, like Bella’s suitcase being overweight (or not😆).
Their love progressed pretty naturally and of course: I’m a sucker for the fake dating trope, because it always brings the tension. And this book also delivered that! 🤭
Sometimes the two MCs felt like two idiots in love, which they probably were. But I liked them together and I loved that they actually communicated with each other. Until they kind of didn’t? The third act wasn’t necessary in my opinion, but I don’t hate how it was done. Could this have been resolved if Jackson just talked about it to Isabella? Sure. Did it strengthen their relationship in the end? I guess. But they resolved it quickly either way and I didn’t have to be annoyed for very long. 🥴
The book was very cute, easy to read and filled with enough banter and funny and sweet moments that make you giddy and laugh out loud, promise! If you’re looking for a romance novel with the fake dating trope, then this might just be 𝐀 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐓 for you! 😆🥰

A Perfect Fit was such a sweet fake-dating romance with high school rivals-to-lovers that truly lives up to its title.
Isabelle chose to go against her lawyer family’s career path and instead pursue her passion for fashion design. Still, she constantly feels like a disappointment to her family. Jackson, on the other hand, tries to make everything in his life perfect and follow a plan, taking over his father’s marketing company after his death—even though he once had a different dream for himself.
The two were fierce rivals in high school, competing with each other in practically everything. When they meet again years later and Isabelle needs a fake boyfriend for their high school reunion, Jackson suddenly seems like the perfect choice. Or maybe he always was.
I absolutely loved their dynamic. There’s so much more behind all their competition, and I especially loved how Jackson supports Isabelle and encourages her to pursue her dreams. At the same time, he learns that his life doesn’t always have to follow a perfect plan.
I could have done without the little third-act breakup, but the ending made up for it. These two simply made me happy, and A Perfect Fit was such a sweet and enjoyable romance. 🤍

Isabelle hat sich gegen den Karriereweg ihrer Anwaltsfamilie entschieden und verfolgt stattdessen ihre Leidenschaft für Fashion Design. Trotzdem hat sie ständig das Gefühl, ihre Familie zu enttäuschen. Jackson hingegen versucht, alles in seinem Leben perfekt und nach Plan zu machen und übernimmt nach dem Tod seines Vaters dessen Marketingfirma – obwohl auch er eigentlich einen anderen Traum hatte.
Die beiden waren schon in der Highschool erbitterte Rivalen und haben sich in wirklich allem miteinander gemessen. Als sie Jahre später wieder aufeinandertreffen und bei einem Highschool-Reunion ein Fake-Boyfriend für Isabelle her muss, ist Jackson plötzlich die perfekte Wahl. Oder vielleicht war er das schon immer.

I absolutely loved their dynamic. There’s so much more behind all their competition, and I especially loved how Jackson supports Isabelle and encourages her to pursue her dreams. At the same time, he learns that his life doesn’t always have to follow a perfect plan.
I could have done without the little third-act breakup, but the ending made up for it. These two simply made me happy, and A Perfect Fit was such a sweet and enjoyable romance. 🤍

Ich habe die Dynamik zwischen den beiden unglaublich geliebt. Hinter all der Competition steckt so viel mehr, und besonders schön fand ich, wie Jackson Isabelle unterstützt und sie in ihrem Traum bestärkt. Gleichzeitig lernt er selbst, dass sein Leben nicht immer nach einem perfekten Plan laufen muss.
Das kleine Third-Act-Breakup hätte ich persönlich nicht unbedingt gebraucht, aber dafür war das Ende umso schöner. Die beiden haben mich einfach glücklich gemacht und A Perfect Fit war für mich eine richtig angenehme, süße Romance. 🤍

Dudeee how I love these tropes. The childhood rivals and the fake dating are honestly so good together.
I loved how their first meeting after high school goes and happens; it's like really cute. And I love how they keep seeing each other around the city, kind of like fate or destiny.
I love that she followed her dreams despite what others thought and how she was strong enough to continue with them.
As for their relationship, I honestly loved it. The banter at the start was really entertaining, and I loved how slowly they each revealed each other's personality traits and other sides of themselves that they didn’t know about each other. They are really cute together.
One thing that threw me off a bit is that if you had asked me which age they were, I would have said mid-thirties and not twenty-four; the way they were acting kinda felt like they had been working for like a decade and not finished college like a year ago. The phrasing of "old college friends" and the almost no mention of college whatsoever.
Aside from that, the book was phenomenal… up until like 85% or so. The third act drama/breakup came in full force, and I honestly was not expecting it. Up until then, they were acting really mature, communicating, and pretty secure in their relationship. Then some stuff happened with him (not trying to give up much information), and he completely broke down. And obviously shit happens, but to go from being so in love and supporting each other to "I'm a mess, and you are better off without me." Don’t get me wrong, you can obviously have these thoughts, right? Because insecurities exist and circumstances in life make you worry, but a lot could have been solved by talking and being there for each other instead of waiting for a whole ass month to talk to each other again, and then, poof, suddenly everything is perfect. I don't know… I’m not a fan of third-act breakups; I honestly despise them because they piss me off, so this whole ass drama really made my good feelings for this book fall a little.
Anyway, in the end it was a cute read and honestly pretty fast in my opinion that had me hooked, so, aside from the third act breakup, I honestly would really recommend this book if you are looking for a fake dating romance and quick read.

This debut from Lily is such a charming, swoon-worthy addition to the romance genre! If you are a fan of enemies-to-lovers, fake dating, and a delicious slow burn with a "he falls first" dynamic, A Perfect Fit is an absolute delight to dive into.
The story follows Isabelle and Jackson, whose childhood rivalry was built on trying to outdo each other in every imaginable subject. Fast-forward eight years, and fate throws them right back into each other's orbits—first on a shared flight to NYC, and then in the coffee shop where Isabelle works. When Isabelle finds herself in desperate need of a fake date for her high school reunion to prove to her ex that she's moved on, she reluctantly proposes the deal to her former nemesis. Jackson accepts, provided she returns the favor, setting off a hilarious charade to convince everyone they are a genuine item.
Isabelle is a fantastic, resilient heroine. O my days, I finished this cute read in one day!
I’m still very new to the fake dating trope, but I’m in love with this one.
Rivals-to-lovers was another fun element in the book. Their bickering made me chuckle many times.
It’s brave to follow your own path instead of the path someone else has picked out for you, with expectations as obstacles on that road.
Isabelle (Bella) is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. She has been hurt in the past, and even though she is still scared, she does her best to focus on herself. I love her journey of working on her brand.
Jackson seemed like an arrogant man at first glance, and I wasn’t fully convinced I was going to like them possibly getting together or maybe I just loved the idea of Bella winning against him and being done with him,hahaha.
But the author proved me wrong and showed me what a caring, loving, grounding, and funny character Jackson is. I think it was interesting to read how he was, in fact, following the path his father created for him.
Both Bella and Jackson seem to have a complicated relationship with their parents, and I love how they support each other to stand their ground against them.
There is also a lot of healing in this book. It's honestly refreshing to read about the yearning, the little things they notice about each other, and the act of seduction instead of full-on spice.
(I do love full-on spice books, but I was missing books like these so much!)
And oh my god, Bella’s last relationship also makes a reintroduction during the high-school reunion. The author did an amazing job describing what that relationship was like, how it ended, and setting a good "he is such a loser" impression.
They both seem to think of it as just a deal, but the more time they spend together...
The more they fall... Well, I guess you have to read the book to find out more, hihi!

The Perfect Fit had me captivated from the moment I started reading. Isabella and Jackson had chemistry, banter and a connection that came through the entire story, making their relationship so enjoyable to follow.
This is a slow-burn, friends-to-lovers romance with fake dating, and I loved watching their relationship develop. Jackson shows Isabella what she has been missing in her past relationships, while Isabella encourages Jackson to believe in himself and go after his dreams.
I also loved that the story is written in dual POV. Being able to experience both Isabella and Jackson’s thoughts and feelings made me feel much more connected to their journey and allowed both characters to tell their side of the story.
Lily also touches on some really meaningful topics throughout the book, including parental expectations, cultural differences, mental health, and the impact of negative thoughts and emotions. These added another layer to the story and made the characters feel more real.
And it wasn’t just Isabella and Jackson that stood out to me. Lily did such a great job creating the supporting characters too. Jen, Aaron and Anna were all fantastic additions to the story, and I loved seeing them come in and out throughout the book. Having such strong supporting characters really pushed this romance over the line for me.
There was one part of the story where I felt like something didn’t quite fit, and then I realised it was the third-act breakup. While I understand why it was included and how it reflected the idea that sometimes life can feel perfect until something unexpected changes everything, personally, I felt the story could have worked without it.
Overall, The Perfect Fit was a refreshing romance with great chemistry, characters I genuinely enjoyed and a story that had me captivated from beginning to end.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely

I want to begin by thanking author Lily Victoria, along with Love Notes PR for providing me the opportunity to read this amazing ARC!
Jackson and Isabelles story was such a joy to read about. I love their re-meeting on an airplane, enjoyed the backstory and context given through out the book as to their relationship dynamic (enemies / rivals) back in high school, and enjoyed watching them both realize they love each other. J
ackson was great to read about, low key until the very end. There was a third-act conflict that I personally didn’t love, but I enjoyed the rest of the book more than enough to read passed it. Jackson taking over his father firm and realizing he wants to pursue his dreams was lovely to read about. The standout to me was Isabelle. I loved diving into her story, learning about her family dynamics and her feelings to the expectations her family puts on her. I loved reading about her interactions with Anna and Jen (who were both amazing characters) and watching her personality really shine through. Most importantly, i love that she followed her dreams and realized everything she wanted for herself despite pressure from others to do things different. She served as an inspiration not only to fictional characters in this book, but to me.
The side characters were also so funny in this book. Aaron and Jen really did play fairy godmother and in the best way possible. Not only did they assist Jackson and Isabelle initially getting together, but also brought them back together when Jackson made rash decisions which hurt Isabelle. I also love Anna, I enjojy when a smart, funny, kid is written into romance novels as it gives such a light-hearted energy that is needed at times.
Overall I can say I truly loved this book and Lily Victoria absolutely hit it out of the park with this one. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fun, ligh-hearted romance book this fall!

It has been a while since I’ve read a book where I absolutely loved the couple from the very beginning, but A Perfect Fitby Lily Victoria did exactly that for me. Isabelle and Jackson had me invested from the start, and it made this book that much more enjoyable to read.
Isabelle and Jackson were high school rivals, and eight years after graduation, they unexpectedly find themselves seated next to each other on an eight-hour flight from London to New York. Of course, one flight isn’t enough to keep these two apart, and they continue to run into each other until a fake dating scheme for their high school reunion brings them even closer.
This was an easy 4.5-star read for me! I fell in love with Isabelle and Jackson right away, and I especially loved that Jackson fell first. But what made it even better was that he wasn’t afraid to let Isabelle know he was interested. He used pet names, dropped little hints about how he felt, and made it clear that he was pursuing her. Maybe I’m just a little old school, but I absolutely love when the MMC actually puts in the effort to pursue the woman he wants. Give me a man who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it, and I’m happy!
Jackson was also the kind of MMC I want to read about all the time. I loved how protective he was of Isabelle. Whenever he felt like she was being disrespected, he didn’t hesitate to stand up for her—no matter who was doing it. Those moments made me love him even more.

He is fierce, protective and admires her loudly, she is sweet, inspiring and the best that ever happened to him. Whilst embracing all the facets of each other, the good, bad and everything in between them their relationship blossoms. But will this young love survive what life throws at them? With an ex, family drama and a legacy pushing one down, life is not only sunshine.

This book is EVERYTHING, you will ever need in a romcom. It’s hilarious, has the best most lovable characters, and the cutest fake dating plot. It’s got the classic enemies to lovers romcom vibes like 10 Things I Hate About You and some of the funniest banter I’ve read in a while: not outright insults, but tense moments that can be easily mistaken for flirting. I’m such a slut for fake dating plots and gosh this was done so well. They may claim to hate each other but Jackson put his foot down the second Isabelle said she needed a fake boyfriend. I connected with both the characters too and they felt so raw and real. Isabella felt especially close to home since she has Asian heritage and her mom is from Hong Kong like me, so I understood living with immense pressure on grades and being perfect. But I loved most how Isabelle had the strength to break the cycle and pursue her own path. Now Jackson is the most boyfriendable book boyfriend/husband to ever exist. He is the freaking standard with how obsessed and whipped he was for Isabelle. Yes he called her Isabella instead of Isabelle their entire high school career but he made up for it. He took her to a bookstore on a date and made a literal bookstore challenge to pick books for him to buy for her. He also stood up to her parents for her which I find to be the most amazing thing and is a master at huge romantic gestures but also cute domesticity. There are some pretty crazy plot twists that complimented the romance and made this the perfect romcom. I give this a 5/5

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were fun and easy to root for. Isabelle is introduced as a snarky, hardworking girl trying to build a business from the ground up. She chose to get a degree in fashion and build a business in her twenties. She has the drive, and it's a bonus point that she did all of that despite the fact that her family expected her to go into law like the rest of them.
Jackson, on the other hand, is cocky and newly appointed as the ceo of his late father's marketing company. He loved architecture and wanted to study that, but unlike Isabelle, he listened to his father and went into the family business instead.
They knew each other from high school and were famous for being at each other's throats with their competitiveness. This was the general premise of the book. There is a little splash of fake dating (that turns real very quickly) in this book. But it was fun while it lasted.
The banter was my favorite part of the book. It was cute; both of them were hurling quips at each other, but it was very obvious that they liked each other.
My only issue, and the reason I gave 4 stars here, was the third-act breakup. I personally thought after all that growth, Jackson being the one to break up like that was very unnecessary especially since the whole book did build up the fact that they were always supportive of each others' dreams. aside from that i think this was a cute little read, and a good debut novel.

Eight years after high school, former rivals Isabelle and Jackson find themselves back in each other’s lives and apparently all those years apart haven’t made them like each other any more.
THIS is the kind of romance I eat up! 🥹
Isabelle and Jackson already having that history together made their relationship so much more fun for me. I love when two characters have years of baggage between them because every interaction has that little extra layer of I can’t stand you… but why am I paying so much attention to everything you do?
And then you give me HE FALLS FIRST?! Say less.
I really loved Isabelle as a FMC. Watching her continue to work towards what she wanted despite not always having the support she deserved made me so invested in her. I wasn’t only rooting for the romance, I was rooting for her as well. Her growth throughout the story was one of my favourite parts.
Then there’s Jackson.
The rivalry. The protectiveness. The feelings slowly sneaking their way in. The fact that this man was falling while these two were still trying to convince themselves they didn’t even like each other… delicious!
And I think that’s what made the slow burn work so well for me. Their relationship was given time to actually develop. I got to watch the walls come down and their feelings change rather than suddenly being told these two people were madly in love.
This was fun, swoony and gave me that lovely little feeling you get when you become genuinely invested in seeing two characters finally figure their shit out.

The cover art for this one is gorgeous. I can’t stop looking at it.
I thought both Isabelle and Jackson were just charming. Their characters were well developed and I loved their chemistry. He fell first, and boy, did he fall hard for Isabelle!
I enjoyed the story, I thought it was well paced and didn’t feel bored at any point.
The only thing that bothered me (and this is likely just a personal preference) was the third act break up. It felt really unnecessary, and enough was happening without the need for this addition, in my opinion.
Throughout this book, Isabelle and Jackson are excellent at communicating and it results in a really strong, healthy connection between them and their relationship.
About 80% into the book, the third act break up occurs and they just… Stop communicating, which felt really out of character for both of them, and just didn’t feel believable.
The ending then felt a little rushed after this point because the breakup happened so late-on, and lots needed to happen to rekindle the relationship.
Apart from this, I loved this book so much, and it was still an easy five-star read for me. It gave me all of the cozy, heart-warming vibes that I could want. And I feel like this story could have been pulled straight out of a Hallmark movie. It was a really lovely read!

And that's something that I don't see a lot on other fake dating books! Normally you would expect either the guy or the girl to br apprehensive about the "arrangement" but in this particular story, they were both all in in the scheme and we KNEW they wanted it lol
Jackson was the perfect book boyfriend. His POV especially when he realizes his true feelings? I was GONE!😭 he's just too cute!

✨ This was such a fun, lighthearted romance with the perfect mix of banter, fake dating, and that “I absolutely cannot stand you… so why do I keep falling for you?” energy. Isabelle and Jackson’s relationship was full of bickering, chemistry.
✨ What I loved:
✔️ Isabelle was such a strong FMC. I loved that she chose fashion and followed her own dreams instead of the path her parents wanted for her.
✔️ Jackson surprised me. He starts off as this confident, competitive, slightly douchey MMC, but underneath all of that, he was incredibly caring and supportive.
✔️ The banter between them was SO entertaining. Their competitive history made their interactions hilarious, and watching all that rivalry slowly soften into attraction was such a fun part of the story.
✔️ The friendships and side characters added so much warmth to the story. Jen and Aaron especially stood out to me, and honestly, I am eager to read their story.

This story gives me the vibes of a floral garden filled with lilacs and jasmine. I loved the way both main characters fought through the various barriers they faced to achieve their own dreams.
Jackson… this man would go to the ends of the world if it meant helping his girl achieve her dreams. He was such a gentleman, yet possessive, protective, and undeniably charming. A true Prince Charming.
Isabelle is an energetic and courageous young woman who wants to achieve her childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer. It was heartbreaking to see how her mother and sister constantly belittled her dreams. As I learned more about Isabelle’s family background, her parents’ occupations, and her mother’s ethnicity and culture, I eventually realized that Ivy was literally jealous of her. I’m glad they eventually realized how deeply they had hurt Isabelle.
And that plot twist! Andrew was suspicious from the very beginning, but I never could have guessed how he was connected to Jackson. I will never be able to accept what happened, and it broke my heart to see how Jackson’s father only cared about his sons even in the middle of all that chaos.
The third-act breakup was definitely something I wasn’t comfortable with, but I could understand Jackson’s feelings at that point. He had insecurities about whether he was truly worthy of Isabelle. Still, it was beautiful to see him heal, overcome those insecurities, and become the person he needed to be not only for Isabelle but also to finally achieve his own long-lasting childhood dream.

I also really appreciated that both of them struggled with feelings of self-worth throughout the story, but their relationship wasn’t magically used as a Band-Aid for everything. Wait… this is a DEBUT?!
I went into A Perfect Fit completely blind, and I’m genuinely so impressed by how much I enjoyed it. Lily Victoria’s writing feels incredibly natural and easy to fall into, and this was exactly the kind of light, fun romance I wanted to keep picking back up.
The rivals-to-lovers energy between Isabelle and Jackson was SO good. The banter! 😂 Their constant need to challenge each other! The very obvious “I definitely hate you and am absolutely not obsessed with you” energy! I was eating it up.
But what really made me love them was how supportive their relationship became. They’re both trying to figure out what it means to actually believe in themselves, just from completely different directions, and I loved watching them become the person in each other’s corner when they needed it most. Add in Aaron and Jen being exactly the kind of ride-or-die best friends every romance deserves, and the whole thing just felt warm and genuinely sweet.
