Hello folks,
My name is Solomon Carter, and I am the author of the Roberts and Bradley PI crime thriller series, The Last Line international thriller series, the DI Hogarth Darkest series and more. I write mysteries, crime and thriller novels and more besides.

I was born in Southend, Essex and lived there for most of my life apart from eventful student days in South London. But my life in Southend was even more eventful still. I ended up working in a string of jobs including as a jobcentre clerk, a book seller, tutor for youth with low skills and low self esteem, mortgage broker, and latterly manager of a food bank which dealt with all kinds of interesting people facing all kinds of eye-opening, jaw dropping problems. Because of these ear-to-the-ground jobs the majority of my novels are set in Southend. In 2016 I moved to North Cornwall because I liked the idea of never-ending holidays - but I also write almost every single day. My aim is to write action-packed thrillers and page-turning mysteries that readers love and my hope is to get better at what I do with every book across each and every year.

Other things I do beside writing: at present I like to keep my running going to balance out the sitting behind a laptop (a habit inspired by Haruki Murakami's 'What I talk about when I talk about running' - a great book).

-Getting out into nature as the weather allows.

Here we meet the more modern-day Eva Roberts and Dan Bradley. Son Sam is now 4 years old and Mum & Dad have no office support at the moment, but they still have a PI business to run. They have some help when they need to get out and about with Margaret, who comes in to look after young Sam.
When a business man disappears on his way by train to a meeting in London, his business partner contracts the PI’s to investigate the disappearance, but all is not as obvious as it appears and there is intrigue and many twists and turns as the investigation progresses with unexpected facts revealed. It becomes obvious to our PI’s that there is an organisation at work assisting people disappear for a price, but just who is conducting and running this business is difficult to identify and diligent reviewing of paper work continues to take Eva in different directions – is she being fed leads because she may be a target of the organisation one has to wonder.
We will have to wait for the second in the trilogy to get more answers.

Eva and Dan are called to investigate a missing man, however, nothing is straightforward.

Their son, Sam, is now four and needs childcare if they are to continue working as PIs, so Margaret is the perfect choice.

Eva's mind is a minefield of doubt, guilt, information and determination to find out the truth, while Dan prefers more action, though does respect her wishes.

This was a complex plot within plot with twists and devious minds. It will be interesting to see what happens next.

Good first book in the trilogy with numerous thought processes.

Wow eva and dan back with a vengence.brought in to find out if a man that gone missing from a train has gone of his own free will leeds eva and dan to a discovery that hes not the only one its happened to.they discover a trail of years of people vanishing.but are they going if their own acord.compulsive reading and sucks you right into the mystery .twists round every corner.a reall good five star start to this new adventure.

It's good to see Eva Roberts and Dan Bradley back in action together in a compelling case with many twists. This is exactly what fans of Solomon Carter expect. Nothing is what it seems. Eva and Dan are opening a can of worms that's been operating for years. This is a great test of Eva and Dan's skills. One of DI Hogarth's team is now their new contact. And who will win the Dino/train in space wars?

Dan Bradley and Eva Roberts run a PI business, juggling that and their four year old son Sam, is difficult.
But when a business man disappears while commuting by train to London they are soon on the case.
The man's business partner has called in Eva and Dan for help.
But something else is going on and they soon start to think that there is more than one disappearance in this way.
Sadly the book was left on a cliffhanger and have to wait to catch up with the sequel.
A great start to a series.

1st book I have read in this series. Absolutely Fantastic book and read. This book was SO GOOD!!!!
Fast Paced and action packed. Well Written too. If you like PI type books then this is a must read.
