But Ariana Warren isn't the spoiled little rich girl Sebastian expects her to be. Independent and smart, Ariana has distinct ideas about her business and life, and they don't include Daddy's help--or Sebastian's. In fact, Ariana doesn't want him at all. Which is a problem, because she's exactly what he wants. With Ariana pushing him away, Sebastian decides to put all his advertising efforts into selling her on the fact he's what she wants, too.

An excellent start to a new series from this author! I loved Sebastian in the Summerhill books and now he's back in the states! When an old friend calls in a favor, Sebastian steps back into the PR world to help his friends daughter get her name and product known. One problem! She doesn't want that! Arianna is nothing like Sebastian expects her to be and he is immediately drawn to her. Unfortunately, due to his ties to her father, he's going to have to work twice as hard to get her to give him a chance.

I really enjoyed this book. The writing and pace of the story were great, and the characters just really grab you from the start. Can't wait to read more! I highly recommend this one.

I got a free downloadable copy by being a part of Team Kate, and I was so excited to get an early copy.

I've been a fan of Sebastian since he appeared in the Summerhill series, and I loved him and Ariana. The secondary characters also make the book better, like Esme, Bronwyn, and George.

One of my favorite parts of Kate's books are the secondary love stories she includes, and this was no different.

What A Girl Wants was great, and I can't wait for George's story!

It was a great book, easy to read. buutt I feel like the writing style could have been better. like sometimes the writer wrote he and she a lot and that was meant for character 1 but I thought she meant character 2 and it was very confusing for me sometimes.
Also, I always find it a hard time in the beginning if there are a lot of different names to connect it to the right character. so yeah, but still it's a great book.

The first book in a new series. I wish San Francisco really was full of wonderful neighborhoods as she paints it. But reality doesn't take away from the fantasy she creates in her books, and I loved, loved, seeing cousin Sebastian find his own HEA. Another lovely story from Kate Perry.

There is something in the way the author opened this story that made me feel something remarkable was about to unfold and in some ways it did. What this story is really about is free will verses destiny when it comes to love and all types of relationships. It made me think about what I would do if I was this character and that, to me, is a very powerful thing. Also what makes this book a good read for a book club. This is my first time reading something by this author and I cannot wait to continue the series.

This was such a cute, light and quick read. It took me a bit to recognize whose Sebastian's character was since I haven't read the Summerhille series in a longtime. Loved it though I'm interested to see what the second one is like. I loved Ésme, she's very quirky if only we all could have an Ésme in our lives!!!

Ariana Warren loves to make her own natural skin care products so when her father decides to get Sebastian Tate involved to help her business grow things take an unexpected turn. Ariana doesn’t want to going she likes the way her company is but Sebastian won’t take no for an answer. Fast read but good love this author!!!

I honestly don't understand why people read such books, and even less – why people write them. It's like chewing gum – you just chew it, never getting anything apart from the artificial strawberry flavour. Abandoned at 45% – no hope that it will get better. Cardboard figures do boring things and say banalities.

Wonderful

A great tie in with the Summerhill books. This about the American cousin and him finding love and happiness. Adriana finally finds her place in life & business, but her father pushes for more. Can they both find what they are looking for.

I felt there was very little relationship development. I did enjoy the parents’ storyline. If there was more meat, the book would have been better.

Thank you to Kate Perry and her team for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of What a Girl Wants. Below is my honest review.

4.5 stars

Kate Perry never fails at delivering books that make me smile. Her stories always make me happy. They're filled with fun, interesting and sometimes odd characters. I love how they're always finding their happily ever after, while also finding themselves at the same time. I also really enjoy how Perry always works in a secondary love story into her novels.

As for What a Girl Wants, it was fun getting to know Sebastian from the Summerhill Series a little better. He always seemed like he might be hiding something in that series and it was finally nice to find out what that was. I liked how his business minded personality melded with Ariana's free spirit approach to life. I would have liked to read even more of his life in the novel. I was sad there wasn't more of him. The storyline mainly revolved around Ariana.

Ariana was definitely my favorite character in What a Girl Wants. I liked the storyline involving her family as much as I liked seeing her falling in love with Sebastian. It was really cool to see how her family viewed her compared to how Ariana viewed herself. I think there are a ton of people who can identify with the feelings Ariana had.

I also thought Esme the psychic was a different, cool addition to the story. I'm looking forward to seeing what she has in store for the characters in future Fillmore & Greenwich books. I can't wait to read about George, the mechanic.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with a Kate Perry contemporary romance novel. They're filled with great relationships, laughs and some fun, steamy scenes. Not to mention, they always end with a happily ever after. I like that even though they're part of a series with related characters, you can easily read each novel as a standalone.

Another smashing hit from Kate Perry!

Fillmore and Greenwich is a crossover/spinoff series from the Laurel Heights and the Summerhill series. In this book we get to say hello to Rick (Gwen the gourd artist's beau) from Laurel Heights and Viola, Portia and Jacqueline from Summerhill. But essentially it is the story of Ariana Warren and Sebastian Tate.

For those of you have read it, you will remember at the end of "Give a Little" (Summerhill, #7) we see a teary send-off to Sebastian who is returning to the US to help out the daughter of a friend and this is where the book starts up. Fillmore and Greenwich is an intersection somewhere in Laurel Heights (I am assuming) which hosts a number of businesses, including Ariana's custom-made beauty products studio and Sebastian has been dispatched by her overbearing father to help expand her business, much to Ariana's chagrin. At first she won't give him the time of day but we have all learned what a persuasive and charming man Mr. Tate can be, so eventually she gives him a listen and is intrigued by what he has to offer. As they delve deeper into a work relationship, a more personal one builds up with the aid of a quirky psychic name Esme. I love her by the way, in fact I wish I has one of her for my own. It would make life a lot easier and much more interesting.

At the same time Ariana discovers a family secret and despite many warnings and much discouragement she digs deeper only to discover something that drives a wedge between her family and herself. Being unable to share the same with Sebastian causes a rift between them as well. But no worries there is an HEA here and since I don't want to give out any spoilers I am just going to say..... Get yourself a copy and read it already.

This book was given to me for an honest review. This is the first book in Ms. Perry’s new series Fillmore & Greenwich. If you read the Summerhill series you will remember Sebastian Tate came to London to meet his relatives he did not know he had. He stayed in London to get to know everyone, but is back in the states in San Francisco repaying a debt to an executive who helped him in the past. Sebastian was an advertising wizard and Edward Warren asked him to help his daughter Ariana with her business. We find out why Sebastian gave up his career in advertising and that what is most important to him now is family. He is determined to help Ariana since Edward has asked.

Ariana has a small business that she runs out of her apartment. She has tried to start many businesses and failed but now sells hand creams, shaving creams, etc. that she hand makes. She makes enough money to pay for her expenses and is happy. Sebastian leaves many voice mail messages for Ariana, but she does not return his calls as she does not want to expand her business. She does love the sound of Sebastian’s voice and listens to his messages quite often. Sebastian finally goes to Ariana’s place of business expecting to find a “rich princess” type. He is pleasantly surprised and how down to earth Ariana is and her beauty. Ariana thinks Sebastian is a handsome man and could be attracted until she finds out who he is. He does talk her into listening to him explain how she can grow her business

It was great to see Sebastian again and find out more about his life and how he got to where he is. I loved the secondary characters in the book, especially George. I can’t wait to read the next book about her. Arian’a parents go through some crises that affect her and her sister which was eye opening. I enjoyed the book very much and encourage you to get this book.

From what I gathered this book is a spin-off from the Summerhill Series. I only read the first book in that series, and it was a disappointment, especially from such a popular author. Now that I met Sebastian, I might have to go back and finish the Summerhill books.
This is the story of relationship between Sebastian Tate and Ariana. Their relationship is a rather slow moving romance. After some time, Ariana does enters a physical relationship with Sebastian, without giving it much thought or placing any meaning on their imitate act. Her lack of emotion, is rather unusual for the female character in a romance novel. Ariana enjoyed herself, but she seemed to be indifferent towards sex and even towards the very charming and likable Sebastian. I honestly am not sure why Mr. Tate bothered with Ariana.
The author gives us a clear view into Ariana's backstory, as her family plays a major role in this story. As Ariana experiences some unexpected events in her life, it is her family's love that gives her the strength to move on and to finally let Sebastian into her heart.
I have to say, I found the relationship or lack there of one, between Ariana's parents to be quite intriguing. Though, the author blow it when, she "faded the scene to black", just when things were starting to heat up between Lillian and Edward. Let me tell you, couples over 50 still can "heat up the sheets", and their characters should not be short changed in the romance novels. So with that being said, this book only rated a 3.25 from me.

Kate Perry is one of my go-tos for a feel good romance. I love the community she builds, and was really excited to see one of the secondary characters from Summerhill settling back in Laurel Heights territory. Besides the romance between Arianna and Sebastian, as well as the secondary romance between Arianna's parents, we got to check in with a few Summerhills, and had a few checkins from some Laurel Heights inhabitants.

Arianna has always felt a little out of place in her family full of success stories. She is doing fairly well with her Dew Me beauty product line, but her father is pushing her to expand her business. Sebastian attempts to assist Arianna with this expansion to fulfill a debt to Edward, Arianna's father. In the meantime, Edward and Lillian, Arianna's mother, are struggling to reconnect with each other now that Edward is retired and home more often.

I really enjoyed this book. I adored Sebastian, and how he was direct about what he wanted and needed. He was a perfect hero, who gave more than he took, and a great foil to our confused heroine. I found Esme quite fun, and liked the quirky touch she gave this romance, tying it all together, and giving us a foreshadowing for the next book. In fact, Arianna's circle of friends was quite varied and interesting. I look forward to getting to know them better.

A good start to a new series, which I will definitely continue to read.

This Is about the 1000th book of Kate Perry's that i have read (yes that is an exaggeration) . I am amazed at how we started with Laurel Heights and add 2 romances to each one yet continue these characters through to a third series. It does not get old, i keep hanging on to see who the next match will be. With each book Kate's writing gets stronger and my draw to the series gets stronger.
That out of the way, What a Girl Wants is the first book in the Fillmore & Greenwich book. It's pretty close to Laurel Heights, bringing back some well loved characters like Laura. Our main hero is Sebastian, who we met in Summerhill. He comes to help a reluctant Ariana build her small business into an empire per a debt owed to her dad. Ariana has a different direction she want her business to go, but can not help but be drawn to Sebestian. The chemistry between the two jumps of the page and you just want to see everything work out for the two. A surprising plot will shape this couple and see you rushing through each page to see if they get their HEA.
Our second romance is a rekindling of the Marriage of Ariana's parents. With Edward's retirement, things are not happy at home. watch how this couple deals with their life changes to see if they get their HEA or a divorce.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. I still have 2 books in the summerhill collection to read and can't wait to get to them and to see book 2 in this series

Disclaimer: I was gifted an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
If you have read and enjoyed the Laurel Heights series and the Summerhill series by Kate Perry, you will enjoy this spinoff series as well. A few of the characters from these previous series make “guest appearances” in this new book. The story centers on Ariana Warren and her handmade/homegrown skin care line, Dew Me. Sebastian Tate has been “hired” by her father, Edward, to help her build and expand her business. We first met Sebastian in the Summerhill series and we get re-acquainted as he arrives back in America to help his old friend Edward Warren.
Ariana is resistant to her father’s recommendations and does not want to have any dealings with the sexy and charming Mr. Tate. Sebastian is persistent and eventually wears her down in both their work and their personal relationship. A family secret threatens everything Ariana has known about her life and as a result, her budding relationship with Sebastian is on shaky ground.
You will enjoy meeting Esme who is a quirky psychic who lives in the neighborhood and who has no problem sharing her “vision” of what she thinks is best!
All in all a fun read… I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

First of all, I want to say how much I enjoy the fact that most of Kate's books exist in the same world. You know - the story isn't really over when the book ends, and I always wonder what happened to everybody afterwards. It's fun to see who might pop up from one of the other series, and find out how they're doing and what's happened to them since their own book ended.

If you've ever read a Kate Perry book, you know they're really just fun, sweet, and sexy stories. You won't get sad or depressed reading them. They're going to make you happy. You're going to smile, and you're going to gobble them up as fast as you can get them. And her new book definitely follows suit. It's a quick, enjoyable read - perfect for a hot summer day on the beach (or hiding inside with the air conditioner - no judgement!). There are some really interesting characters in this neighborhood. I can't wait to find out more about them all, especially Esme. When she said she follows the OED on Twitter, I knew she'd be one of my favorites (I follow them as well!).

When you read Kate Perry for the first time, you end up wondering why you hadn't before. Her stories are fun, sexy, empowering and always relatable.
When you read Kate Perry for the second, third, twentieth time, you just know you're gonna be smiling and laughing before you even start the first chapter. And as always, she amazed me!

Kate knows how to write lovable characters, and Ariana, Sebastian, George etc are no exceptions. You find yourself rooting for them as their stories unfold.
Some twists in this plot were totally unexpected, and I enjoyed every minute of It. Kate could have chosen the obvious road at times but, creative as she is, she managed to surprise me in very pleasant ways, even after all her previous stories!

Starting this new series, I hope you find yourself wanting to know more about the recurring characters because, trust me, you're gonna have fun getting to know them all (especially the Summerhills clan!)

I'm a big Kate Perry fan. I just love the way she writes and I always relate to a character.
This book, it's amazing. I think it's one of the best, I read it the pre-release and I just can't wait for the next one.

In this book the lovely and just recently "found my way in life" Ariana has to face her very successful family on a very serious and kind of life changing matter. Obviously a girl has to have a boy to add to her troubles, and amazing friends.

If you had to ask me why you should read this book, my asnwer would be: even though, it's a fiction the story tell us something that could happen to any of us, and we can make mistakes, but in the end you will see the love of those that matter most to you and that will help you get through. Also, isn't love what we all look for, in one way or another? So, read this book and fall in love with it. Trust me.

Another strong debut to a new series with Sebastian (from the Summerhill series) finding his true love in a lovely little town in San Francisco. Returning to the states after his sabbatical in London getting in some quality time with his long lost relatives, the marketing guru was returning a favor for his former mentor, not expecting to be shot wth Cupid's arrow. Ariana wasn't at all the spoiled rich princess he believed.

In fact, she is very much what he wants as his lifelong partner in life. Now, if only he can get her to want him the same way that he wants her too. With the help of a meddling psychic and well meaning friends of Ariana, and some whimsical bit of magic.

There were tender moments aplenty in the story, and I was happily swept along with the plot progression and
to the funny almost comedic, but utterly romantic ending.

I love Kate Perry. All of her books are up beat, sweet, and end in a HEA. What a girl wants is no exception. We get to meet a new cast of characters in Fillmore and Greenwich but also characters from the Laurel Heights series and Summerhill series. Ariana never felt like she fit in with her family. They were everything she thought she wasn't and she also felt like an outsider. Her parents relationship is disintegrating and Ariana and her sister don't know how to handle it. Her father is overbearing and distant with her. He wants to help her with her business and sends Sebastian to help her. Ariana doesn't want help but after meeting Sebastian she may what something else. On accident she finds something she should never have. She decides against better judgement to purse what she found. In the end her life changes and she realizes she has the family she always wanted.
