Firstly thank you to Ryn Emilee for sending me a copy of her book Perfectly Misaligned. This book had me hooked from the very start and omg it's absolutely phenomenal. This is Ryn Emilee's very first book and it 100% deserves all the love so make sure to go check it out as it will be releasing in June. You are an absolute Queen and please keep writing so I can buy more of your books 🥰.

This book had me sitting on the edge at times. It was beautifully written and seriously I gasped and held my breath in parts. Getting towards the end of the book it had me sobbing in a certain part that makes you clench your heart and gasp and shake your head with rage. You absolutely shattered my heart with Leah and seriously don't know if I'll ever recover from that as I am totally not ok 😭.
I seriously still can't believe what happened in this book. I loved all of the characters besides one and I am glad Dirk met his demise. I absolutely loved all the girl moments with Jade, Manda, Bekka, Adele and Helena. Then you have Raven, Lukas, Jasper, Rowan and Castiel and I absolutely loved all these characters and what they bring to the book.
This world is built on loyalty, respect, secrets, danger and family that will take you on a ride of your life. Hands down was a five star read for me and I can't wait to see what Ryn writes next.

This book contains dark themes, explicit sexual content, and also morally grey characters that you will absolutely love. There are definitely a lot of content warnings so please make sure to check them out before starting this book. Also a shout out to the dedication page in this book as it was perfect in every way.

There were moments when I was reading this where I actually stopped and thought wtf is going on here. For example when we found out what Raven’s mum did to her? Yeah my heart actually sunk, I had to put the book down and had to message the author just to let her know how I felt about Raven’s mother 😅

The friendship between Jade and Raven was chefs kiss. A bad b*tch always needs an equally bad bestie 😎

Oh my goodness, this one just jumps straight into it and I’m here for it!
I was absolutely hooked from the first page and I just knew that I wouldn’t be able to put this down!

For a debut novel this is incredible!! Honestly, no notes. I loved every second of it! Even the parts when my heart broke, little Leah oh god why, and when I really wanted to take a stab at Dirk myself!

I was so intrigued by all the characters and loved reading their POV chapters, seeing into their minds as different situations were unfolding and how they were reacting to it all.

But this was a thrill of a ride I didn’t want to end!

I need to read more by Ryn now and can’t wait for her next book to be written!!

Highly recommend this book if you are a fan of dark mafia romances with twists and turns, a bit of gore, and a whole lot of steamy scenes!

Where do I even begin?! 😭💜

Ryn, girl, I am SO unbelievably proud of you. This book had me completely hooked from start to finish. The build up? Perfection. The character development? Incredible. The spice? 🥵 The storyline? Absolute chef’s kiss. Every piece of this story came together so beautifully that I genuinely didn’t want it to end.

The banter, the tension, the emotions, the laughs (yes, including a certain novelty adult toy shaped like a ridiculous purple octopus tentacle 🤣💀) and the moments that had me kicking my feet and screaming into my pillow... it was all there.

I’ve never shed a tear over a book until this one so get your tissues ready! 🥹

This was a really fun debut and I had a great time reading it! A dark romance, why choose!! Say no more haha. I loved Raven and how she developed throughout the book. She was strong, determined and didn't let everything she had been through define her. I also really enjoyed the found family dynamic and the relationships between the characters. They were definitely the highlight for me.

The story had plenty of twists and action to keep things moving and there was some goooood spice mixed in there!!!

The lil bonus chapters at the end were an exciting little touch!! Keen to see what’s to come.

I was blown away at how fabulous this story is. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I went from excitement to sadness to suspense to heat/spice to heartbreak and in amongst it all I had some of the best laugh out loud moments.

From the get go I was completely compelled and drawn into this intoxicating read.

By 40% in I had experienced a wide range of different emotions; which only continued to grow throughout. It all bubbled over with Fairy Princess Leah😭💔

Raven is an absolute boss b!tch who has been to hell and back in a hand basket. Yet despite all of the loss she has grown fiercely.

I absolutely adored the poly relationship between Lucus, Raven and Jasper. Ryn, you horny naughty devil 😈

Rowan was an absolute legend!! I wouldn’t mind spending some time creating torture devices with him and Raven.

Final thoughts - I did find that I would have loved to have seen a little more in depth details when it came to Jade and Leah as I felt there could have been more there. Also with what happened with Raven’s mother. This though doesn’t take away anything from the experience.

I finished this book within 24 hours of receiving the ARC… so honestly, that should tell you everything you need to know.

For a debut novel? This was fucking insane in the best possible way. Fast-paced, dark, addictive, and dripping in dangerous mafia syndicate energy. I was hooked from the first few lines and did not come up for air until the very end.

Raven is seventeen when her entire life is turned upside down in the space of twelve weeks. After her father passes, she’s thrown straight into the deep end of a mafia family she never asked for, only to find out she wasn’t just sold to the Kellers, but she was a mafia princess herself. Like excuse me? Plot twist, power move, emotional damage. At first, she just wants to survive those twelve weeks and get the hell out. But somewhere along the way, that family becomes the very thing she doesn’t know how to leave.

And Raven? My girl ATE. She was always fierce, but watching her step fully into her boss bitch era was everything. She went from being thrown into chaos to becoming the kind of woman who belongs beside the most lethal family in the room, and I was screaming for her the whole damn time.

What made it even more addictive was the way these men barely knew Raven at first, but still dug into her life and uncovered every horrendous thing she had survived. And the way they removed those threats from her world? EPIC. Brutal. Sexy as hell. That was some top-tier touch her and die shit, and I devoured every second of it.

Jasper? My sweet, lethal wolf. The man will shoot first and ask questions never, and I’m sorry but that is sexy AF. From the moment he laid eyes on Raven, he was gone. Obsessed. Possessive. Dangerous. Down bad in the most delicious way.

Then Lukas. The head of the syndicate. Powerful, broken, grieving, carrying the weight of his past, his family, his son, his wife… and still unable to stop thinking about Raven. The tension between them? The emotional damage? The longing? Absolutely rude of the author, honestly.

And the spice? FUCKING EPIC. Like, excuse me? The chemistry, the possessiveness, the tension, the way these broken, twisted people fit together in the most unhinged, poetic way? I was not okay. This book had me crying one minute and feral the next.

This is a why choose dark mafia romance, and the plot was just as addictive as the romance. I cried more times than I can count. Sweet Leah… that is all I’ll say because spoilers, but my heart was absolutely wrecked.

These main characters are twisted, broken, misaligned, and messy, but somehow they complete each other in a way that genuinely hit me in the chest. Castiel and Rowan were absolute icons, and Rowan? I need more of him immediately. He is the definition of black-and-white psycho, and I mean that as the highest compliment.

Dark, emotional, spicy, brutal, and beautifully chaotic. This book had me in a chokehold, and I fear I will not be shutting up about it anytime soon.

Perfectly Misaligned by Ryn Emilee


Perfectly Misaligned starts off jumping into it straight away without a chance to even buckle up. Raven arrives at the Keller Home 12 weeks after the passing of her father believing that Lukas Keller was a friend of his, unbeknownst to Raven that she was actually sold to pay off a debt and is now living with the syndicate. With the fast-approaching nuptials; secrets come to life, betrayal runs deep and everything they thought they knew comes crashing down harder.

Raven is the Female Main Character and is 17 when she first arrives at the Keller house. There is mention of SA (Trigger Warning) for this character when she was 16. When Raven first arrives, she is portrayed as timid and shy in my views. As time and the story progress, we see Raven really come into herself as well as her power.
Lukas Keller is one of the MMCs, the head of the Keller Syndicate and the father to the son who is meant to wed Raven. He is everything we love to read in these books, loves deeply and fiercely and definitely puts out the “Touch her and die” vibes.
Jasper Wolf is the other MMC and was practically raised in the Keller family with his brother and is Lukas’ 2nd. Jasper is tasked to shadow Raven and protect her but falls for her almost instantly. Jasper is Sin on legs, devoted and loyal to those he loves and will burn the world down for Raven.
This is Ryns’ Debut Novel and has done a fantastic job. Just grabs you from the start and doesn’t let go. I read this in 24 hours. I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! Plus, the fact that the author is Aussie makes it even better. Some parts in the book did feel to me like it was a little rushed and context changed quickly, but as I said this does not wreck anything within the story and is again amazing for a debut.

I enjoyed reading this ARC. The story, characters, and just everything honestly, cannot fault it. Looking for your next Mafia found family Dark romance with a side of Bi-awakening and where the FMC does not have to choose? Then this one is for you!

I was lucky enough alpha read Perfectly Misaligned and Ryn, I’m sorry but this is illegal. You dropped a debut that reads like a fever dream in the best way. Dark, fast, addictive mafia syndicate energy and I did not come up for air until the last page. I was hooked in the first few lines and that chokehold never let go. It’s unhinged, messy, emotional, and I am not okay.

Raven, this girl is chaos with a heartbeat. She walks into a room and everything shifts. Watching her go from feral survival mode to owning every space she’s in had me screaming. She ATE and left no crumbs. The way she steps into herself, messy and powerful and completely her? I was yelling for her the whole time.

Jasper has that sweet, lethal wolf energy. Shoots first, asks questions never. From the second he sees Raven he’s gone. Obsessed. Possessive. Dangerous in the way that ruins you for other book boys. Down bad, and I am so here for it. He’s that top-tier touch-her-and-die energy and I devoured every second.

Lukas is powerful, broken, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Grieving, guarded, trying to hold everything together while falling apart. The tension and longing between him and Raven is criminal. Emotionally rude of you, Ryn. He’s damaged and magnetic and I felt every piece of him.

Rowan, I need more of him like I need air and I needed it yesterday. Not even one of the MCs and he still stole the whole book. Black-and-white psycho vibes in the best way. He had me giggling like a maniac one second and cringing the next. Give me more Rowan or I will riot.

Sweet Leah. That’s all I’ll say. My heart is still on the floor. Ryn, what you did wrecked me and I’m not over it.

This is a why choose dark mafia romance hits like a truck. Messy, twisted, brutal, spicy, and somehow beautifully poetic. Broken people fitting together in the most unhinged way possible. I cried, I got feral, I reread scenes like a gremlin.

Ryn, you destroyed me. This book is in a chokehold around my brain and I’m not shutting up about it anytime soon.

Ryn Emilee's unique voice is so clear throughout this story and it gives a depth to her MCs so that you can clearly see them, how they interact and what their motivations are. This was also my first ever Mafia dark romance (what a way to start) and it felt refreshing, dark, nuanced and full of heartbreaking moments that will stay with you. Oh and spice - this is chock full of delicious spice.

Raven, a young woman alone in the world,  comes to live in Lukas's compound unaware that she is a pawn in a bigger game. Her father owed the Syndicate and on his death she was delivered as payment, an offering to the Keller family. Having no idea what world she's stepped into, she is thrust into the path of Lukas, his first born, Dirk and Jasper, the silent Assassin.

Where you think this book is going - it doesn't.

There are twists and turns at every corner, there is loss and devastation, but tempered with some purely intimate and sweet moments. But don't be fooled into a false sense of security because Ryn will rip the carpet out from underneath you and take no prisoners.

You just need to read this one to appreciate the sheer craziness and brilliance of Ryn's brain.

But I promise, there will be tears, there will be disbelief, there will be fanning yourself like a lady from the 1800s in the heat.

It's hard to believe Perfectly Misaligned is Ryn Emilee's debut novel because it completely hooked me from the very first chapter. I flew through it, completely invested in the characters, their relationships, and seeing how everything would unfold.

Raven was easily one of my favourite parts of the book. She was such a strong, resilient, and empowering FMC who refused to let her past define her. Watching her find her voice, stand up for herself, and fight for the life she deserved made her impossible not to root for.

Lukas and Jasper were both incredible in their own ways. They each brought something different to the story, and I loved watching their relationships with Raven develop. Their loyalty, support, and the way they showed up when it mattered most made them impossible not to love.
And Rowan... I absolutely loved every scene he was in. He added so much to the story, even without being a main character, and I already know I want more of him. I absolutely adored those bonus chapters!

The only things that kept this from being a five-star read were the moments of repetitiveness, where some conversations and internal thoughts covered similar ground, and the fact that I wanted some of the bigger emotional scenes to dig even deeper. There were several pivotal moments that had so much emotional weight, and I would have loved to sit with those scenes just a little longer before moving on. In saying that, it did not take away from the story at all.

Overall, this book was an addictive, emotional read with memorable characters that kept me turning the pages. For a debut, this was an incredibly strong start, and I'm excited to see what Ryn writes next.

This book took me on a full emotional rollercoaster. I laughed, cried, and more than once I was ready to throw down for my new fictional besties. The emotional depth in this story had me completely invested from start to finish.
What truly stood out was Ryn Emilee's writing. It was so vivid and immersive that I wasn't just reading the story, I was living it. I could see every scene, hear every conversation, feel every emotion right alongside the characters. The world, the tension, the heartbreak, the joy... it all felt incredibly real, pulling me in so completely that I lost track of everything around me.
Watching the relationships develop was beautiful, frustrating, heartwarming, and utterly addictive. I fell in love right alongside the characters and found myself obsessing over them long after I turned the final page.
And the steamy scenes? Wow. Just... wow. The chemistry was off the charts, perfectly written, and had me fanning myself more than once.
Ryn Emilee delivered a story full of heart, emotion, tension, and romance that kept me hooked from beginning to end. If you're looking for a book that will make you feel absolutely everything, Perfectly Misaligned needs to be on your TBR!

Perfectly Misaligned is a debut dark romance mafia novel by Ryn Emilee, and I got the opportunity to read an ARC in the lead up her publication date!

The world Ryn has constructed is rich and layered, built on a foundation of complicated bonds, loyalty and trust. The cast of characters is vast, but never overwhelming, with each and every one of them earning their place on the page, and the dynamic between them feeling lived-in and real. I have to say, the action scenes in the last quarter of the book were the absolute bomb for me... and on a side note, the sexy-time chapters were enough to make me want to fan myself and take a cold shower. Sometimes I read those chapters twice... for research purposes.

Ryn, you dirty, dirty girl.

What sets this book apart from others I’ve read is how fearless it is. Ryn doesn’t flinch or shy away from writing exactly what she wants to put on paper, and she goes to places most debut authors would stay away from. But nope. You can feel Ryn’s chaos flow from her personality into her storytelling, and once I finished the book, I stared at the wall for a while.

Perfectly Misaligned is dark, bold, and startingly risky for a first release, but it works so wholly. If you’re keen to be quietly dismantled piece by piece, then I encourage you to head to @ladyrynreads on IG and get cracking on pre-ordering this beauty.

This book delivered in best of ways of dark romance, including syndicate, betrayal, death, training, kidnapping, gore and revenge to name a few of the themes - you're in for a wild ride 😜
For a debut book this was very good, although personally I would've preferred that at the start of the book some of the significant events would've been described more in-depth, such as Raven's revenge against her mother & rapist was all over in a page and I would've like her first time with Jasper to have been more detailed with passion. However, the writing noticeably improved as the story progressed and the spicy scenes got hotter 🔥
I really liked the plot in this book and the characters were also interesting, Raven in particular was such an amazing character and I loved reading her personal growth!
Well done Ryn for delivering such an awesome book 🥰

We had the absolute pleasure of being an Alpha reader for this book and recently re-read an review copy sent to us. Ryn's writing is intoxicating, once you start, you're hooked and keep on telling yourself "just one more chapter." What a debut!

Perfectly Misaligned is a why choose Mafia Romance but what kept us engaged is the trauma, politics, family dynamics and action interwoven throughout. Ryn is able to have you yearning one chapter, consuming visceral violence the next, laughing one chapter then have your heartbroken shortly after. Its a chaotic sexy and violent ride that we enjoyed being a part of... even when we were left staring at wall thinking WTF a number of times.

If enjoy The Blacklist, Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos or Peaky Blinders, then you won't want to miss this.

But if you like being destroyed a lil and love dark mafia romance & why choose pick this book up. I absolutely inhaled this book and left no crumbs. It was fast paced & Chaotic and at times even messy.

Raven, Lukas and Jasper are all such great characters that i fell in love with. They loved fiercely and were loyal to a tee and dangerously unhinged. They will burn down the world for the people they love. The touch her and die vibes had me melting in a puddle.

It was a roller coaster ride of emotions. This story was amazing especially for a debut book with a great amount of plot & spice. I cant wait to see where the next story with lead.

There are twists and turns that draw you further. By far, my favorite part was when they became poly then continued. Not once did they question their loyalty or commitment. Raven is inspiring; her bravery, loyalty and dedication love it. Jasper is dark but soft when it comes to them. The downside is that I wish for more of Jasper and Lukas, whether that be spicy, business or their connection. That aside the found family is something else captivating. The writing was good and perfectly written. Not too long or drawn out.


The bonus was to die for. Rowan was mysterious but knowing more about his thoughts, I love it about him

OH.MY.GOD… This book? Completely feral. 5 stars, no hesitation.
Two of my favourite tropes in dark romance are mafia & why choose so when you find a book that contains both you know its going to be good. But this wasn’t just good. This blew my mind. It was everything. It was messy, it was toxic, it was chaotic and I loved every second of it. Lucas is a ruthless leader of the syndicate, his powerful, obsessed and protective. Jasper is lethal, he will shoot first and ask questions later, but also be sweet, BUT ONLY FOR THEM and Raven… well she was badass... This was dark and spicy and had me obsessed. I need more!

Perfectly Misaligned is crazy good its jaw dropping I still cannot believe this is a debut novel 🤯 I was hooked line and sinker Just when I thought that I knew how it was going to end nope guess again,there is differently a lot of jaw dropping moments
You absolutely shattered me with princess Leah💔
I 100% recommend this book if you are into dark romance.
