I absolutely loved this book. There was such an emotional rawness to it. Watching Sloan and Vance rebuild their relationship after the devastating accident, and seeing them both learn how to cope, communicate, and become more open with each other, was just absolutely beautiful.
I also loved how everything was explained through building analogies and structure. It made the story feel even more meaningful because, in a way, buildings are a lot like us — they hold weight, carry damage, require rebuilding, and depend on strong foundations to survive. That parallel throughout the book was incredibly well done.
Overall, I 100% recommend this read. It was emotional, beautifully written, and one of those stories that really stays with you after you finish it.
This was a different romance but one that showed true love ,Sloane has been separated from her husband Vance for 2 years ,she has a accident that leaves her in a wheelchair but from the time she goes into hospital Vance takes care of everything,he takes her home to a modified room that gives her everything she needs ,and staff to care for her yet he does everything that he can including bathing her ,cooking for her and she finds the man behind the coldness she thought was him. It's a story of sacrifices and trust and of a man that truly loved his wife more then anything
A very real and raw relationship where our fmc was in a car accident that paralyzed her from the waist down and our mmc never stopped loving her since she left him two years ago. I really loved how completely devoted and obsessed the husband was but everything felt a little clinical to me from the fmc. The analogies between her job restoring old buildings and love from her husband got repetitive and alittle annoying.
