We know about the horror of the slave trade. People of our land were sold to labor sugar, tobacco and cotton fields, or to work in gold and silver mines in America and West Indies. We know about the slavery and the pains of Africans who were transported to America. But why Donovan, the african-american who came lately from the USA and visited Goree Island, is so tortured by this common past almost forgotten by our parents here in Africa?
