Thank you Anna for trusting me with this ARC copy of It Could Be Us, book two in The US Series! I fell in love with Anna’s writing from the moment I read her first book. This story between Sophie, Noah, and Liz was so beautiful and meaningful, especially considering I didn’t even like Sophie in the first book. I was annoyed that she was coming in between Addie and Jackson, but now we know her full story and I love Sophie so much we must protect her at all costs!!!
The chemistry between Sophie and Noah was so beautifully written and of course the song choices in the book are SO PERFECT for every scene. I found myself adding every song mentioned into my Spotify playlist. (Also adding Noah to my list of book boyfriends cause how perfect is he and his slutty little glasses??? HELLO!?)
Love, love, love this series and I can’t wait to read about Liz and Andy’s story in the next book!!!

It Could Be Us was one of my most anticipated reads, and it blew my expectations out of the water. No one writes yearning and tension quite like Anna Lynn. The romance between Sophie and Noah was my absolute favorite. The slowest of slow burns, in the BEST possible way.
For me, this was so much more than a romance story between two people. As much as I loved Noah and Sophie, Liz and Sophie's story was equally important. Friendship through the worst of times, battling different kinds of addiction, growth, and beautiful found family were at the heart of this story. I cried so many times reading what these characters went through.
Anna Lynn you are seriously magical. Your writing hits every emotion, and I can't wait to read more of your work.

But fate has other plans. When Liz starts working at Sophie’s restaurant, the two begin to lean on each other for support, unexpectedly drawing Sophie and Noah closer in the process. Thoughts:
•Slowest of slow burns ever!!!! And I loved every slow second of it!! I couldn’t put this book down!! If you need a visual of my face, look up the GIF of the baby holding the board book and reading intently. That was me, racing to see what would happen from chapter to chapter.
•This book has SO much tension, chemistry, and yearning between Noah and Sophie. Watching their relationship progress was beautiful. This made the slow burn so worth it!
•This book hits very differently because there are three main characters, and I don’t know who I loved more!! Sophie, Noah, or Liz!
•I learned that I want my man to make me cookies on the regular.
•My most favorite part of this book…everything Sophie and Liz. Their story and journey is one of the most emotional yet beautiful stories I’ve ever come across. Anna knows how to get you good.
•Like in her book What If It Was Us, Anna ties in so many songs throughout this book, and it adds so much more to the various scenes and characters. Excuse me while I listen to my It Could Be Us playlist now.
•Now the hardest part of reading emotional books like this from this amazing author….I have to wait for her next book and I already know it’s going to be a 5 star book!

sophie waters isn’t sure where she sits in life anymore. everything that she thought had made sense, no longer does.
she owns part of a restaurant that came from her now ex-fiancé and through it all she’s trying to rebuild herself.
but how can you rebuild yourself when you don’t even know who you are?
when liz and her brother noah move in next door to sophie, they are going to be something sophie never knew she needed. except that liz mirrors the past and noah is a want she never knew she could have.
okay. @annalynnbooks i am suing you for emotional damage. i dont know what you put into this book but good god damnnnn! it was everything and more.
i loved jackson and addie’s story, but sophie and noah have taken my heart. the amount of times i crashed out to anna (she’ll tell you it was a lot). i went through it with this book.
it was gripping, emotional, and such a beautiful journey of finding yourself amongst the darkest moments in life. the yearning was killing my soul so hard, i wanted to smack sophie because she was being a dumb dumb, noah my baby i just wanna hug that man and liz — liz pissed me off A LOT.
but all three of these characters worked so well together, their dynamics and relationships and how they grew into this beautiful little found family was just absolutely everything i needed and more.
if you loved jackson and addie … let me tell you sophie and noah are going to break you.
anna is such a beautiful writing that intertwined so many important struggles and didn’t shy away from the hideousness of the reality of those things. it felt fresh that it wasn’t being sugarcoated, or toned down. it was raw and real, and i think it made the characters and story that much more relatable and poetic.

I’m not even going to lie, I went into this book somewhat knowing what to expect, and yet I still ended up getting torn apart. Like, I’m not even kidding, by chapter three I was already tearing up over Sophie, and then halfway in I was shedding full blown tears over Liz and Noah too.
I just absolutely loved the dynamic that the three of them gradually built throughout the story. But, by far, the relationship between Sophie and Liz had my entire heart and soul. They were it for me, and I just couldn’t get enough. The three of them showed what it means to unconditionally love and accept someone wholeheartedly, and to stay alongside them, even through tough times.
This story was a mix of emotions for me, but one of the things I love about Anna’s books is exactly that. She writes a slow-burn so well that the tension and yearning between Sophie and Noah will literally consume you up until the point they finally get together. But I also love the fact that Anna doesnt shy away from tougher topics.
Not many authors can write about grief, addiction, and eating disorders in a way that resonates with readers to get them to understand what the characters are going through, but Anna did it so well with careful attention and consideration that it makes her stories pact an emotional punch that you will feel down to your core.
That being said, I couldn’t recommend this book more. So consider this my not-so-subtle nudge for you to add this book to your TBR.

They were it for me, and I just couldn’t get enough. To be loved by the wrong person really has an effect on you.
When I read WIIWU I didn’t care for Sophie, her character had a role & it was written well. I did have compassion because I knew what loving the wrong person felt like, what trying to get someone to change for you felt like but I still did not like her lol.
When Anna said book 2 was about Sophie I was in 2 about it, but then we had a chat & I trust Anna’s writing.
Well I also came into the book thinking I might be disappointed in Sophie, but honestly even with the mistakes she made, the shitty decisions she went with knowing that it was the wrong thing I can’t hate her, I don’t hate her, she is my baby & I will protect her. I understood her far too easily to even have judgement, because I still have a bit of Sophie in me when it comes to forming friendships and being loved.
Loving the wrong person really does a number on you, so to then find the right person wether it’s romantic or platonic and still believe you’re not worth of their love is something I really hope not too many people have to go through because it’s a lot.
Anyway, I really loved Sophie’s story, thank you for trusting me to ARC read Anna.

I may be biased but this book captured my heart & soul. Anna has such a specific and special talent of making you feel every emotion—and as someone who tries to avoid just that, I can’t believe the gauntlet of emotions this book put me through.
Don’t get me wrong I love a good romance but the true love story for me was Liz & Sophie. And on top of watch two people who desperately are looking for someone to choose them find each other, you also get the love of a brother and sister duo.
This book showcases why reading is so fundamental to human evolution. Books like this make you sit with the hardships, the perspective of others, and really makes you listen to how others deal with the life they’re given. I know it’s fictional but as someone who deeply relates to Sophie, I know there are others out there that will see themselves in Liz or Noah.

We meet Sophie, our FMC, in book one and she almost reads as the villain, but she’s really just a girl who ended up with the wrong guy at the wrong time. In her story we find out why she is the way she is and why she’s willing to accept crumbs when she deserves the whole cake.
Sophie’s life is turned upside down when Noah (MMC) and Liz (his little sister) move next door. Following the loss of their mom, Liz is struggling with addiction and Noah is struggling to care for her. Very quickly their lives become deeply entangled with Sophie’s.
While the story leaned more literary fiction than romance, at it is core was a love story. Love between friends, love between family, and the love where you are someone’s number one person. The slow burn though - you’re going to be screaming, “just kiss already!”
If you want to feel deeply moved by a book, I will always recommend Anna Lynn!

I could rave about this author and her books for days. This story is wonderful in every heartbreaking way. I would recommend this to fans of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Looking for Alaska, All the Bright Places, or The Spectacular Now (extra recommendation for people who love those books but want a love story to be at the heart of the plot.
This book reminds us all that we are works in progress who need the love and support of others to help us fight our darkest battles. It's a sign that we are not our pasts and that we've always got room to grow for the sake of our own health and wellness.
Also, Noah as the mmc in this is just pure chef's kiss. He's patient and caring and understanding and swoony and and and and. He's perfect and is exactly what Sophie needs. It's so rewarding watching them find they way to each other through all of life's curveballs and setbacks (both internal and external).
Even if you haven't read the first book in the series, the characters and plot are still totally accessible (so feel free to start here and then read What If It Was Us afterwards if your heart so desires)!

WOW where do I even start?? First and foremost thank you so much Anna for allowing me to read this story before the world, is was an honor and joy, not always, but it was 100% worth it. Okay while this is the 2 in a series, I do feel you can read it without the first (I don’t recommend)

Anna has once again written a beautiful story that tugs on all the right heartstrings.
We all fell in love with Jackson in book 1 and I was interested to see how he would be portrayed as the “villian” of Sophie’s story and it was perfect! Even Sophie’s acknowledgment of who Addie was/is to him, brilliant ✨
Sophie and Noah’s story was everything I’d hoped it would be and more, add in Liz and I was done for. So many varying relationships were explored and each was given to absolute care it deserved. Be that parents, siblings, romantic relationships and even workplace friendships.
The prickly woman being won over by the gentle, caring man next door never gets old. I think we can all see a little bit of ourselves in Sophie one way or another, she is the perfect reminder that you can’t be everything for everyone unless you take the time to care for yourself too!
I cannot wait to see what’s coming next ❤️
We all fell in love with Jackson in book 1 and I was interested to see how he would be portrayed as the “villian” of Sophie’s story and it was perfect! Even Sophie’s acknowledgment of who Addie was/is to him, brilliant ✨

I truly didn’t think I would like this book as much as her first book, What If It Was Us, (bc how could it get better?) but boy, was I wrong.

At its core, this is a story about grief. And while grief is such a heavy topic, Anna filled this book with so much love, hope, and heart.
The characters are EVERYTHING. She somehow took a character I couldn’t stand and turned her into such a real lovable person. The relationships are real and beautifully complex. They have so much depth I feel like I know them personally and I love them all. Liz? I have no words she is my baby can do no wrong.
Anyway Just read it. You won’t regret it.

Thank you, Anna for the eARC! This story was so well done. I was excited to see how Sophie's life turned out after finishing What if it Was Us, and it was definitely worth the wait! I was wrapped right into it from the start. The familiar setting was fun to come back to. Delvecchios' felt like my second home. Found family never gets old and I love it everytime. Noah and Sophie are so perfect together.
The themes and struggles the characters go through are hard and I thought they were handled well and with care.
As always, the song references are perfect and just give you more insight into what the character is really thinking/feeling in those moments. I love how Anna does this in her stories. At one point I started crying while hearing one particular song in my head *chef's kiss

I love a redemption arc because you really learn so much more about these characters and understand them a lot better and was excited to learn more about Sophie!! seeing the struggle of feeling unloved and trying to control the only things she knows how to was so emotional and it felt like something a lot of people could relate to! it was so beautiful to see not only her and Noah’s relationship but hers and Liz’s and the way that they helped each other heal from two completely different things. Noah is so pookie and such a lover boy and i love that he kept showing up for both of them! such a deep, emotional read!

It could be us is not only the love story or Sophie and noah, but also Sophie learning to love herself. The author beautifully captures the self doubt and insecurities that are so common after a break up, making Sophie's story that much more relatable. She broke my heart when all she wanted was someone to share the silence with!
The slow burn romance with Noah was perfection. I loved the yearning they felt for each other! And the love they both had for Liz. Some aspects were a little rushed but the beginning and ending were so well done!
I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves an interconnected romance series!

Ahh so many emotions!!! Book #2 follows Sophie and how she learns to love not only someone else but also herself. I LOVE when books focus on the bond of women and how family isn’t always blood. Addiction is so hard to write about & the way it was portrayed was so real and raw. I kept going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars because it’s hard for me to rate any romance book a 5 but DAMN, this one is super freaking close!! No notes! 👏🏻❤️🩹🎶

Ugh this book was so good! I feel like so many people will be able to relate to this book who are struggling ! I love the story line and the characters in this book. If you are looking for a good book to read this one is good !!
