Mafia Don’s Hidden Heir was an addictive, emotional roller coaster from start to finish. The combination of danger, passion, and family secrets kept me completely hooked. The chemistry between the main characters was intense, and the hidden-heir storyline added just the right amount of drama and heart. Packed with suspense, steamy moments, and unforgettable characters, this was a mafia romance I couldn’t put down. Highly recommend for anyone who loves possessive heroes and high-stakes romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THE MAFIA KING'S SECRET SON" I was hooked from the beginning its an intruguing, interesting, intense drama with secrets, danger, suspense, banter, steam, all keeping you reading.
Alessandro Castellano is a powerful, dangerous, Mafia King wnen he enters a room everyone notices.
Stella Carter a waitress who meets Alessandro she thinks is gorgeous & someone to be careful around he wants her to sit & have a drink but she says shes working, you can tell he's interested giving her his address & he leaves.
Stella's friend & waitress tells her Alessandro paid for everything giving her the note to get to his room, off her shift she takes the elevator to his Penthouse for the drink he offered.
Stella surprised when elevator door opens to see Alessandro waiting like he knew she was coming, he watches as she takes the Penthouse in, yiu came he says, you knew I would she replies, is this something you do with all the waitress's no he says.
Both bantering back & forth, she turns to look at him what do you want.
Alessandro close tilts Stella's chin to look up, this is where you tell me to leave you alone, is it she replies he says I want you to choose, if I stay asks Stella next thing he kissing her & not gently.
Alessandro knows the Castellano's don't get their hands on what they want often, they work hard for it, pay to much, kill to many people, so when its something or someone they really want they keep, it meaning he wants to keep Stella.
Stella meets Alessandro's cousin Tomas who was rude to her & Alessandro made him appologise & security to take him out, claiming Stella infront of a full room of people she's his.
Stella & Alessandro in his room get hot & heavy once again with feisty banter from her he seems to enjoy.
Stella ends up seeing something she shouldn't in an alley the mans mark was one of Corvino Seal a rival to Alessandro someone from work warned Stella about that name, two other men, she makes a sound & Alessandro turns to look at her.
Alessandro asks the man on the ground who sent you starts with a "T" it has to be Thomas, then Alessandro tells Stella to get in the car she's shocked at her behavior, after watching him kill a man, he was worried about what she saw him do.
Stella knows things are different with their love making than before, mine she says to Alessandro & he goes still.
Simone is Stellas friend who comes to be with her after not seeing Alessandro for awhile, they'll go to her Aunt's house in Stillwater Vermont.
Stella delivered Roman her's & Alessandro's son she tried to reach Alessandro but couldn't.
Stella ends up working at a Bakery in Stillwater called Honey & Hearth, Alessandro finds her leaving the bakery, Cara he says as he leaves.
Alessandro has been looking for Stella for 6yrs, he knows the boy he sees with Stella looks like him
Alessandro has looked for Stella, 6yrs later he finds her at a bakery.
Stella saw Alessandro in a car outside the bakery when she arrives home he's sitting on her porch he stands & says Eleanor told me I had 10mins. he comes inside, who's his father, he's dead in Phoenix she tells him, look at me & say that he says calling her by her nickname Trouble don't call me that she says.
Alessandro says you ran from me why, you know why, tell me anyway, then their kissing saying nothing, after their heated session he leaves.
Will Alessandro & Stella along with Roman get their second chance at love, Luca warns him that Lorenzo Corvino had two men in Burlington for 9 days their rivals, will they survive whats to come its a must read you can't miss.

This story is definitely all about being obsessed with your lover and all about possession of her being all his. The chemistry between the main characters Alessandro and Stella is definitely written well in their love story. What price do you pay for falling in love with a Mafia Boss and then accidentally falling pregnant with his baby. You would do anything to protect your child and Stella does just that by moving far away and it lasts - but only for so long. After 6 years he finds her and trouble follows where trouble goes. Can Alessandro keep Stella and his child safe? or is he more trouble than he is worth? You will have to find out for yourself and read the book.
This is my first Gia Hartley Book and my first Mafia Romance book, well done to Gia the storyline in The Mafia King's Secret Son is easy to follow and well written. You definitely get a clear picture of who the characters are and how they feel through the writing. They are both very strong characters and they know themselves and they both know what they want.
It has al the complications that comes with being involved withe mafia, with a sprinkle of spice, sexual tension, lust, anticipation and of course above all else romance and love. If you like to read mafia romance stories this is something you should try.

We follow Stella, our quiet but strong FMC, and Alessandro, our commanding, sexy mafia MMC who knows exactly what — and who — he wants. After a few steamy moments together change everything, Stella disappears with her son, hoping to protect the life she built… but secrets never stay hidden forever in the mafia world. 👀

I absolutely loved Alessandro’s protective side and the chemistry between these two was HOT. The small-town bakery vibes mixed with all the mafia intensity gave such a good contrast and honestly made me eat this book up. The tension, angst, drama, and swoony moments had me hooked from start to finish. 🔥

I did wish we got a little more emotional depth in some scenes, especially with Stella’s inner conflict after years of hiding, but overall this was still such an entertaining read and perfect for my secret baby mafia romance girlies.

No spoilers from me though, Mafia Babes. 🤫

Wow! What a great story! But keep this in mind folks. It's all about the notebook! Stella meets Alessandro in the wine room at the Aurora Hotel and he invites her to his penthouse for a drink, but it is her choice to stay or not. She stays. He puts her name in his notebook, on a new page, in green. In the morning she finds a note saying he will find her. Little did he know, Stella was pregnant, and thought of taking the baby scared her, so she bolted. With the help of some friends, of course. When he finally finds her five years later, so does Lorenzo Corvino, and his men are already in town. He wants what Alessandro has and that is not going to happen. And things escalate after he threatens Stella's family and his son Roman. Now he is out for blood. Can Alessandro keep those he loves safe? And, will he be the one that finally ends the war between the two families without any more bloodshed? Gia wrote this book in each others point of view and it lets you get deeper into the mindset of the characters. It was quite refreshing and it is one of the best Mafia stories I've ever read. I give it FIVE HUGE STARS!.

The Mafia Don’s Hidden Heir by Gia Hartley delivers exactly what the title promises: a possessive alpha hero, a secret baby, and plenty of drama wrapped in danger and desire. Alessandro Castellano is powerful, commanding, and very clear about what—and who—he wants. When the quiet baker he once loved resurfaces with a six-year-old secret, hiding is no longer an option.
I enjoyed the strong character dynamics and the steady dose of angst and spice. Alessandro’s larger-than-life presence definitely carries the story, and the small-town bakery setting adds a sweet contrast to all that mafia intensity. There’s drama, emotion, and some genuinely swoony moments—especially when he steps into protector mode.

That said, I wanted a bit more emotional depth in certain scenes. The transition from past passion to present reconciliation felt a little rushed, and I would’ve loved more exploration of the heroine’s inner conflict after years in hiding.

Overall, it’s an entertaining, dramatic mafia romance with solid tension and heat—just not quite as layered as it could have been. A good read for secret baby and alpha-hero fans.

The Secret Son of the Mafia King 👑

A couple of things with this one…the story itself was good but I’d like a little more “mafia” type violence…it felt too controlled and not chaotic like one would expect that type of “world” to experience. The characters were not bad, but not great either and I had higher expectations I suppose after reading the last book by this author that I really enjoyed or - perhaps I’ve been reading too many morally grey men and violent mafia books for too long that I expect a bit more action, drama and violence🙈

My main issue though and thus the reason for my lower scoring review is due to the repetitive nature of the monologue between characters and the descriptive language which felt unnecessary ie. the brownstone is the brownstone….okay…could we not just say something along the lines of - the brownstone stood out in this neighbourhood or something along those lines. Perhaps this is just the authors writing style, which is totally fine…but some of it was starting to irk me a bit in parts.

must-read. Alessandro is everything a mafia king should be—ruthless, commanding, fiercely protective—but beneath all that power is a man completely undone by the woman he never stopped loving. Watching him discover he has a son and fight with everything he has to reclaim his family was equal parts swoon-worthy and heart-pounding.

The chemistry between Alessandro and Stella absolutely crackles. I also loved the contrast between the quiet warmth of Stella’s bakery life and the dangerous world Alessandro commands. But with every glance, every heated exchange, and every stolen moment carries years of longing, regret, and undeniable passion. Their romance burns slow before erupting into a satisfyingly intense love story filled with emotional vulnerability, fierce loyalty, and irresistible attraction. The secret-child trope blends perfectly with the high-stakes mafia world, creating constant suspense alongside all the romance.

DNf’d - has potential but not for me

The book had potential, really. I was hooked from the beginning.
My issue is the writing style which is short sentences, a lot of inner dialogue, mostly based on “association”. You get an “atmosphere”, not developed dialogues or depth of a relationship between the characters. Maybe it gets better or different gradually when the characters stop being so guarded and private with each other, and trust is built, but for me the beginning was hard to plough through and I finally gave up.
Perhaps it’s this author’s signature style and you either like it or you don’t.

ms hartley is taking us a bit darker in her new book “The Mafia Kings Secret Son. the plot is well thought out the chemistry with the main couple is off the charts hot. the support characters are smooth and move in and out well. roman has some adorable mannerisms and i would love to fish with him.
a new way of writing and story telling is bold and exciting keeping you interested until the last page is turned. i enjoyed reading this book very much.

I loved this. A strong and dominate man, a beautiful woman that ran from him when she found out she was pregnant, she now runs a bakery and has her son. Years later he finds her. But he isn’t there to be demanding, or angry. He helps in the bakery, takes their son fishing. They reconnect, and then enter the chaos. This was a really intense but sweet and spicy romance. I loved these three. This was a great story. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The Mafia King's Secret Son is my favorite Gia Hartley Mafia story as of today. The story is gripping and it has consumed my every thought. Stella and Alessandro, their story is so complete and worded so perfectly. I can't say enough about it other than, you'd be missing a great book if you don't read it. This is what true love is all about.

Yikes… I have read a couple of her other books and enjoyed them but this one missed the mark completely. It started out ok but then it seems like her writing style changed. I ended up finishing it but tons of repetition, time references, and the general cadence of her writing seemed very off putting to me. Very little character development and the plot was interrupted by mundane things like a page and a half discussing cooking and burning pancakes. Sorry- Not a fan of this one.

The story itself was great, but the entire format of the book felt like I was reading a text message or a manuscript for a movie. So many short sentences are written to show the conversations between the main characters; that made me want to get this book over and done with. This is my second book by the author, and I did not enjoy this one as much as the first because of the way it was written.

Overall I really enjoyed it. I will contradict myself here but, I both liked and disliked the counting setup in the novel. I liked that it added a layer of something extra to the novel. Something uniquely theirs. However, I also disliked it because it felt a little impersonal. Parts of the novel felt that way in general. There were emotions in the novels but the feeling coming off lacked a little for me. As I said though, good overall and I did enjoy reading it.

I chose to read and review this book. I enjoy reading this genre of books. The book is well written and captivating from start to end. I liked the interactions between the main characters. The book has a lot of passion, desire, mystery, action, suspense and sparky moments. I recommend it. You will not regret reading it and I can not wait for the next one.

It was a great book. I didn't care for the writing style. The sentences are written very short and blunt, but I loved Stella and Alessandro's story! Stella is such a strong woman! She's scared and runs but Alessandro ends up finding her. Their love grows. I also loved the change in Alessandro you read about throughout the book. I definitely recommend!

This was a good story. It wasn’t my favorite of Gia’s, just a little slow. The characters have a painful back story that is connected in ways she doesn’t realize, but does come full circle. It wasn’t a little strange to me how she just accepts whatever is said and they have so many one word conversations.

I found this book to be frustratingly like reading a religious tome. If the times and dates weren’t exacting enough the writing style was enough to make me want to stop reading, many times…. But I finished to see if it improved…

This book kept me on the edge of my seat and turning the pages as fast as I could . The Karma or inevitable ending was perfect. At times I was emotionally wrung out and others I was so happy that things calmed down .
