Another new family member? Dan with Julie now? Really? And the highly questionable relationship between Bernice and Mark, the blackmailing peeping tom, is scary. He pretends to be her son, Bill, and she gives him a car. She & the old broads knocked this guy out and had him arrested, and she runs off with him just days after her husband dies. This storyline made absolutely no sense.
Of all the books in the series, this one is the only one that really didn’t fit and is the least likable. It didn’t seem to have been written by the same author.
The plot is fine, but it would appear that there was no editing before publishing. Many misspellings and confusion on the author's part concerning which character is onstage is evident in this series.
I loved the very first book and hope that this series continues for a long time. You get these characters in your life like you know each one of them. You love Pam and her family. You hate a few, like Sandra and Dan. Though can Dan change and be the man he wants to be. I hope so for his children's sake. As for Sandra, I would love to knock her lights out. Pam needs to move on with John and not keep thinking about Jack. He's gone and did her so awful. His memory will always be there no matter what. But it's time for Pam to be happy and have a life with John. I like John and he needs to let go of his ex too.
You can't help but love the characters in this series. They become a part of you and you get so caught up in them. When someone said, "I'll always love you" it scared me. Will they come back and be safe or is something going to happen? I so hope not.
This book had the best ending of any of this series. I can't give anything away but kinda wish there would be a big twist in the next book from this ending. I know I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Keep up the wonderful work Ms Jenkins. This series keeps getting better and better
#10 in the series is just as absorbing as the 9 before it. Its easy to fall into this family saga and so entertaining with each new twist of this twisted family! The author pulls this off so well in such a clean manner, while leaving the reader's jaw hanging all at the same time. There is plenty of room for a #11, so many loose ends are left dangling.......
I gave this book 5 stars because it is sometimes hard for an author to keep a story going after book 3. Suzanne Perkins does it masterfully. Please try the series if you have not!
