Never Never Man #2

Billionaire’s Caress

Rate this book
I should have known better. A deal struck with a man like Grey Sinclair comes with strings. And even though he hasn't tied me up, yet, it's not long before I find myself wrapped around his little finger.

I'm finding success at last, but it comes at a price... his. I'm not sure how much longer I can pay it.

In fact, I feel as if I'm reaching a point of no return.

So why does a part of me enjoy it?

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I struggled with the first book mainly because Maddie seemed to have no business sense and was accident prone to the point of being embarrassing but thought the series as a whole had potential but I can't finish this second book so I won't be continuing on, from the reviews I've read it would appear it's just me but basically Maddie's an idiot and I don't say this lightly how could she ever succeed in business and how would anyone back her no matter how pretty she is.

################SPOILERS#####################SPOILERS#######################

Maddie has been set up in business by Grey he's recommended an escort called Farrah, I've no idea why I couldn't bring myself to read any further to find out, anyway Farrah turns up to the interview chewing gum and texting on her phone
"Totally. I’m super stoked to be here. Do I have to give blowjobs?” She wrinkled her nose as she finished the thought. Then, opening her mouth, she inserted the index finger of her right hand into it, mimicked a gag reflex and added, “They totally gross me out"...........
Welcome aboard,” I said with a smile. “Your first client is Mr. Pickering. He’s a distinguished gentleman from Texas. You’ll be accompanying him tonight after he arrives in town. And Farrah, you do understand that discretion is the most important part of your job, don’t you?”
"What's that? Discretion?"
So not only does Maddie employ what must be the least discrete and unbelievable escort in the world but the next day when the disaster unfolds and pictures are all over facebook of Farrah and Mr Pickering, who by the way is in the middle of a divorce Maddie offers Farrah ten thousand dollars
“So here’s the deal. I’ll give you ten thousand in cash. Today. Right now. All you have to do is leave here and agree to never talk about this to anyone.” To say Maddie is gullible and incompetent doesn't get close to covering it.
I just can't read a book where I don't believe or even like one of the main characters and it's not just the fact that she's an idiot there's load more but I think I've ranted enough this series is obviously not for me and I didn't write this review lightly I really wanted to like this series.

I received an advanced review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. Sloan does it again with her second book! If you read the first one in the Never Never Man series, you know what I mean. Her stories really pull you in, and in no time you will be verbally responding to the book with likes and dislikes, you may even tell or scream at it! That is a rarity in some authors, to totally captivate the reader audience!

Madeline Olsen, is a beautiful woman with deep feelings and intense insecurities, and is willing to work with Grey, but will not allow him to micro manage her business and personal lives. Maddie is trying to make her life better with starting this business of her own, but feels she is looking herself to Grey and his ways. Will Maddie be able to work through their high frictional relationship, and keep her independence? Or will she loose herself, not to mention her heart?!

Greyson Sinclair is a smart businessman, but comes off as a little bit rough and down right rude. People tend to over react to Grey's personality within business, but he does seem to have a soft heart to help others. He's known for his womanizing, but is ready for change, just not commitment. Grey has such a soft spot for Maddie that his caring comes off as over bearing.

Will they work through their issues? Does their relationship workout? Can you really keep business and pleasure free from each other? Their chemistry is so intense, will be the ruin to them and their concierge service business?

First, I must thank Sloan Storm for allowing me a copy of Billionaire’s Caress to read in exchange for an honest review. And honestly, holy effing hell… I am just.. well as with the previous installment I am perplexed as to what in the world these two crazy asses are doing to each other. I wanted to smack Grey all through book one.. now it would seem its Maddie’s turn. But that is not a bad thing, on the contrary. I love the dynamics of the characters and this time around we have more people that have been introduced.

***small spoiler alert***

As Grey tries to help Maddie’s business grow (after an agreement was made between them both) things start to pile up. Maddie of course is stressed and thinks that Grey has ulterior motives in the way he is doing things. And of course he is an ass during most of this. Reminding her constantly that without him she has no business. In truth he is right. Without his money Maddie would be but a lone gnat in a field of blowing grass. She would be lost and in a hole. But, she is determined to fix problems as they arrive herself. And Grey, being the ass he is takes that control from her, but for good reasons. Maddie is naive. Green under the gills still when it comes to the backbone needed to run a successful business.

In the end though if you look at it as facts, you can see even when he is an ass, he has good reason to be. He is trying to make her a success, to let her build her business, spread her wings in ways others wouldn’t be able to. All in all its a lot of ego pushing, insecurities flowing over Maddie and a sense of needing to do what he can that makes both Maddie and Grey but heads. Though before its all over Maddie sees the error she made when it came to what Grey was doing. And then, the real fun begins.

As with the last installment Sloan hit a home run. Like, I totally love Maddie, even if I spent the entire time I spent on this installment going ‘ohmigod’ ‘woman, get a fucking grip’ ‘oh, you are so in trouble’ and my best one.. ‘he should beat your ass...but you might like that so… nothing you get nothing’. Yes I am aware that I am in a special place when I read. Its my own little heaven/hell. laughs) I always feel a sense of adventure when reading a new installment of any series but with this one I am all but frothing at the mouth until I can get to the next. And don’t worry no matter what is going on I will be counting down the days until the next installment. As part of Sloan’s advance reader/street team we talk about these installments all the time. The growing anticipation for this series is as high as Everest and just as explosive! Can’t freaking wait!

Once again another incredibly fascinating read by Sloan. I absolutely love Grey and Maddie their sexual chemistry is inexplicable they try to fight it but they are drawn towards each other like magnets. Their professional relationship takes on a whole new twist as Grey tries to teach Maddie how to run a successful business. He has certain expectations for her but she is so indecisive and doesn't know exactly what she wants or what to expect. Her business is thriving yet it's not making her happy, Grey is being attentive and supportive and it's not making her happy. What does she really what from Grey? What more can she expect? Their interactions are getting hotter and hotter the raw passion illustrated by these characters keeps you wanting more. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series!

I thought the first book was brilliant but this second book is awesome! I love how Grey's and Maddie's relationship is evolving. I love Grey, his so set in his way and he thinks his way is always right and love the way he battles to understand why Maddie has a problem with it. Maddie bless her, is so naive but thinks she knows best and feels totally undermined by Grey. This is a great story that at times has me shouting in frustration at both Grey and Maddie. Grey's and Maddie's chemistry keeps being of the scales and the sex is just super hot! I can't wait for the next instalment in this fabulous series.

Grey can be so controlling but is that what's really bothering Maddie? He's hot, wealthy and totally into her, yet she still finds him too domineering with her business. Is Maddie really stressing over being to busy or is she missing her old wants and desires from life? Grey tries to be blunt with her but emotions run high. Conversations are spoken. Feelings are hurt. In the end will Maddie understand what being an owner of your own company entails? Sloan Storm's writing is brilliant. Billionaire's Caress is a must read and definitely 5 stars worthy.

Received an arc from the author for an honest review. I have to say i am so in love with Maddie and Grey i cannot even tell you.
In this book you will see maddie and greys relationship develop even more and the chemistry they have is off the charts. They cannot keep their hands off one another, their business relationship however is another story, Grey is very controlling when Maddie wants to do it all on her own.
Loved this book cannot wait for book three.

I received an ARC from the amazing Sloan Storm for an honest review <3

The greatly anticipated second book is finally here and it sure doesn't disappoint!!

Maddie has signed over her soul. Having agreed to take a loan from Grey to start her business she should be over the moon. She has a new office, staff and even an amazing apartment but it's come with a price. Every move she makes, every decision, everywhere she goes Grey is always there giving his opinions and taking over.

She started this business to be more independent and make a life for herself but instead she feels more controlled than ever. Will she be able to regain control and keep her heart in one piece at the same time?

Grey is used to getting his own way and doesn't see the problem with stepping in with Maddie's business - if he can improve it why shouldn't he? He feels drawn to Maddie in a way he hasn't before and keeping an eye on her has become a full time occupation.

Grey and Maddie may clash in the business world but at home they have no problem burning up the sheets. With Grey avoiding commitment and Maddie struggling to stay in control how long will they last before they collide?

Business and Pleasure are never an easy combination, will Grey and Maddie be able to resolve their issues before it's too late?

I heart me some Sloan Storm so much!.....I heart me some Grey Sinclair a great deal too (even if he acts like an arse on occasion)!! This serial is going from strength to strength and I'm bursting at the seams for part 3! Full of passion and drama with an intense chemistry which will leave you hot and bothered this isn't one to be missed!

I Totally Awesome! I couldn't put it down. I knew Jennifer would not disappoint, since I read her Mitchell/Haley series I'm just disappointed I had not read it earlier. I was so engulfed in these stories of love for one another and not just as lovers but as family. I fell in love, I laughed, I cried and hard!, I got so angry I put down my tablet but picked up in seconds to continue ready. How so much love overcame so much misery and stupid stupid thinking was beyond me. I always said family is family, you can't choose them or them you but you can be there when shit hits the fan. Boy did it hit the fan in this family... drama! Loved it so much. Thank J.F. for such a Great read!

I wasn't as big a fan of this as the first book. Maddie kinda annoys me with how selfish and spoiled she is. She has a man willing to back her business (with no maximum budget) and she doesn't take it seriously. Girl needs to get her s*** together. It doesn't seem like she wants to actually run a business and she holds people's futures at stake.

The book was written very well and even though I really don't like Maddie's character I seem to be completely enticed by the book. I usually don't continue reading when I don't like the characters but it's so well written and the story line is good that I can't seem to help myself. Can't wait for the next installment!

So this book was better I loved seeing the softer caring side of Grey. Not the one that made her feel like a whore. But at the beginning of this book I didn't like that she was a coward she was so upset at the end of book one I wanted to see her fight more. Another thing I felt I connected with was his pov when they had sex his was passionate but Maddie just was blah. I still love her though and I understood why she was searching for more because he's a control freak lol but he has good intentions I think or God I hope I just started liking him he better not piss me off. Anyways still think it needs more passion but overall I did enjoy the book.

I received this for free to give my True and Honest Review
It's a Must Read as in this book :

We're seeing Maddie starting her concierge business with Grey in the 'background' just lending her the money to set it up, but is Grey capable of just sitting in the background quietly to let Maddie get on with what's her business?? and will Maddie be happy with what goes on with everything to do with the business??
Then there's what's going to happen to their personal relationship, will it work out or was it just the one time encounter

First off, many thanks to Sloan Storm for a free copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars

This is a serial series, so it will be picking up right where the last installment left us.

Maddie Olsen and Grayson Sinclair still have a business deal for her concierge service to be hammered out, despite the more personal relationship they began the night before. Maddie accepts his deal to finance her business, but has a counteroffer. In order to retain her complete rights, she wants him to loan her the money, and he would be “overseeing” things. This makes sense to me, considering he is vastly more experienced in the business world. Gray is ok with that, cause he figures that she will want to cut him in on it when she sees the risk involved in sole ownership. Right before he gets on his jet he gives her one last non-negotiable instruction. She has to move, to an apartment he will pay for, and establish a physical office in the same area. He points out that if you are going to work with high profile clients you have to live in the world they live in. (He’s right, much as I hate to admit it)

Time passes, Maddie does as Grey asked, and we start to see the day to day operations of her business. It’s nowhere near as simple as she thought it would be. Pretty soon Maddie has built up a client base, but because Grey holds the purse strings he is actually controlling the business, despite not officially owning any of it. He’s a typical alpha male - he feels he’s got to have his hand in everything. Maddie is tired and frustrated, trying to live up to his exacting standards, and falling short every time. She feels like “her” business is really just his business, with her doing all the damn work and him yelling at her every chance he gets.

We are treated to some absolutely hilarious scenes of things going wrong in the office and with the employees and clients. Maddie almost stresses herself into a straightjacket trying to do it all herself. I might disagree with some of Grey’s methods, but I have to admit, the man gets the job done.

Now that I’ve finished this, I was surprised to find that I was “siding” more with Grey in this novel than I was with Maddie. I found some of her actions irresponsible and childish, and so did Grey, who reminded her that she could get out of their arrangement if she wanted to - just pay him the money she owes him, which of course she could not do. Finally she has an epiphany (hooray!) that she is acting like a total spaz, and that Grey is really just trying to help her grow her business correctly. She realizes that she has employees now -people with families- who depend on her for a job, to look out for. She grows up a little bit in this novella, and I was relieved to see it. For as much as I spent the first book wanting to slap the heck out of Grey for being such a jerk, I spent the better part of this one wanting to choke the life out of Maddie for being such a flake. This installment focuses more on their business side of their relationship than the physical side, but never fear, there is development in those areas as well. Whether Grey realizes it or not, Maddie is starting to get under his skin.

It’s hinted that her ex-boyfriend Trevor is going to be causing trouble in the coming installments, so I am looking forward to seeing how this story will play out. Now that Maddy has her head on straight, some progress can be made!

I received a copy of this book directly from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Going into this second installment, I had high hopes that this would be where some action would finally kick in. I was willing to forgive the tediousness of the first part, knowing that the author was setting the stage for what I assumed would be a wild ride. So I tore into this read, high on anticipation of good things to come.

I was underwhelmed. If I'm really, truly, into a storyline I can devour it no matter what else is going on around me. Especially with a book of this size, I should have finished it far faster than I did. Instead, I found myself distracted by anything and everything imaginable, including a couple hours worth of playing Dice Buddies on my phone.

The writing is not the problem here. I don't mind the author's style at all. There are moments where some of the humor almost got me to crack a grin. And yes, my fine toothed comb reading style did lead to me finding errors, but I can overlook those because they weren't overly plentiful. They happen to the majority of writers, no matter how many times a manuscript is read and reviewed.

What held me back from really enjoying it is twofold.

One: I felt like this whole section contributed very little to the total plot. To me, this read like filler. The sexual tension that was building between Grey and Maddie in the first book should have bubbled over in this one. After their one night together, I wanted them to really look inside themselves to determine where they were going from there. Was it all a mistake? Would they try to make this work? Apparently, their soul-searching happened while we were away and they've settled into something. I'm not completely sure what.

Two: the character of Maddie really got on my nerves in this one. I do not buy her being self-employed. At all. She has no business sense whatsoever. Yes, Grey sets her up at times by giving her "tests" - which she epic fails. Every. Single. Time. But always with the "I'm going to show him!" attitude. Yeah, she's showing him alright - that she has no clue what she is doing. And she's clearly not devoted to the business that she's in. There are many references here to her just wanting to walk away. This does not an endearing heroine make.

Strangely enough, Grey didn't bother me as much this time as he did in the last book. I wanted him to slap some sense into her. For the life of me, I don't understand his attraction to her at this point. I'm sure he has access to better eye candy and / or smarter women than what he's after right now. I am glad he's stopped childishly ripping things into tiny pieces and stomping on them. But now he's moved on to destroying office furnishings...

This was billed as erotic romance, and I'm just not seeing that yet. Crashing a vase against a wall and using certain words to describe body parts does not automatically qualify a book as erotic. To me, this is steamy contemporary romance at most. Maybe as the story goes on, the coupling gets hotter?

I'm still holding out hope for this series, but my optimism is fading. It's not bad, it's just not got that wow factor for me yet.

Billionaire’s Caress by Sloan Storm is the second book in her Never Never man series.

Maddie has taken the deal Greyson - and followed most of his "rules". She moved into an apartment in a more affluent area - a place where he will also stay when in town. She has office space and employees and things look to be going well - until the normal issues of running a business start to crop up and Greyson leaves Maddie to deal with and learn by doing.

These random issues leave Maddie to feel betrayed and abandoned by Greyson while he sees it as him helping her learn. But she is getting discouraged with her business and is contemplating trying to find an acting job again. This puts her and Greyson in contention and things get very rocky.

Can they survive the stress they are each putting the other under?

Up next: #3 Billionaire’s Kiss, #4 Billionaire’s Threat, and #5 Billionaire’s Trust.

First let me say...AWESOME COVER!!!

I always thought Maddie was a strong. She's untrained and floundering but strong at the same time. She's an an actress at heart. She started this business with no sense for business. Grey has been a HUGE financial asset but she's letting him call ALL the shots! He's making all the decisions. As mad as she is that he's taking over, she still bows down to his every whim. She puts up a good argument when she's alone but as soon as she sees him, all arguments are forgotten. She's not at all who I thought she was and he's so much more than I thought he was and neither in a good way. I get that he's trying to help her succeed but his methods need polishing. He runs roughshod over everyone! Also, I fail to see the intimacy in their relationship. Sure, they have smokin' hot sex and that's all it's supposed to be but there's a budding emotional connection that I'm having a hard time with. I see it happening but I'm not feeling it. For me as a reader, feeling it is very important!

This is the second book in the Never Never Man series and I am deeply invested in the outcome of this story. I need to find out what happens. Does she succeed in her business and/or her relationship with Grey? Stay tuned for book three.

“I RECEIVED A FREE COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW”.

This volume begins with Maddie agreeing to Grey’s offer to help with her business, but not before she makes a couple of changes to the terms.

Grey still comes across as being overbearing, however he is not only paying for Maddie’s apartment, he is also bankrolling her entire business and sending her clients. Even though he is confused about his feelings towards Maddie, he genuinely appears to want her to succeed. He’s a very likeable character and what you see is what you get. He’s honest and holds nothing back.

Maddie, um, I’m really trying to like her but it’s a constant struggle. She is extremely selfish and unappreciative of everything Grey has done. She never says thank you and complains CONSTANTLY throughout this book. She has no experience running a business and instead of learning from Grey and seeking his opinions, she acts like a spoiled teenager and throws fits. She gets mad when he fixes problems she not only has no idea how to fix, but doesn’t have the money to repair. I’m hoping for a MAJOR Maddie personality overhaul in the next installment entitled Billionaire’s Kiss.

This was a great follow up novel to the Billionaire Pursuit. I read this in one sitting, it was so good I could not put it down.

The characters are developed more in this second story, Maddie is quite unsure of Grey, his idea of helping seems to be hindering her ability to manage her new business. Grey knows he wants Maddie and he is trying to help her and anticipate what she will need next. Maddie just wants to succeed on her own and not have Grey meddling in her business. Yet she has feelings for him....

"As I searched for a response, Grey reached down and touched my cheek. I leaned my head in towards his caress, desperate to have the connection once more. His hand fell away and as it did, my face trailed behind, eager to keep my flesh pressed against his."

I really enjoyed the continuation of Grey and Maddie's story, it was well written and interesting to read. Will patiently wait for the next volume.

This was another great book by Sloan Storm!

Billionaire's Caress picks up shortly after Billionaire's Pursuit ends.
Maddie has moved her business into a large office space, hired some new staff members, and she has a brand new luxury apartment that Grey frequents from time to time.

You'd think she would be happy, but borrowing money from Grey Sinclaire turns out to be more than she bargained for. Despite her finding a way around him owning 51% of her company, Grey is still controlling her every move. He's trying to teach her how to be a better business woman, but she's tired of him stepping in for every decision!

While she's frustrated with him over the business, she can't get enough of him in the bedroom. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts, and as Grey tries to keep her at arms length, Maddie is trying hard not to fall in love with him!

I can't wait for book 3, Billionaire's Kiss.

I was given this book for my honest review by the author

As we grow up we learn that actions speak louder than words at times. The cause and effect of our actions deepen as we come into our adulthood lives. People, places and things rely on our actions of wisdom, and knowledge to know right from wrong and a promise said is a promise kept.

This is the 2nd book in this series and needs to be read in order.

To the author: I have to admit I was a little weary in going into this 2nd read but you have surprised me. I loved the irony you have created and in my reading the “Oh No he didn’t just say that” moments. The unspoken feelings with Grey and Maddie were subtle yet compelling at times. Kudos

I so wanted to give this book a 5 star rating but the crescendo building within this series is worth the wait to this reviewer.

To the readers: Enjoy

Happy Reading

This book picks up from book one so if you haven't read book one, you really need to.
In this book I had a lot of trouble liking Maddie. I started to feel more for Grey and what he was putting up with in regards to Maddie and her attitude.
Even though she was annoying me I couldn't put the book down. I needed to keep reading in the hopes that she would see the light and change her attitude and low and behold she did. So glad that she came to her senses and realized just what a great opportunity she has been given.
These two have a very complicated relationship. It will be interesting to see how they make it work or if they will even make it.

Maddie has agreed to be Grey's companion yet he still needs to know if they would be business partners, but Maddie doesn't know is when Grey wants something he will get it no matter what. So when she's giving a list of things she must complied in order for the deal to go through she is not happy. Would she end up agreeing to those terms?

Maddie and Grey will once again take you to a roll-a-coaster of emotions, and their explosive physical encounters they share are more hotter than the last one. But can they put their attraction aside and try and salvage her business before is too late?

This book is hotter than the last one and I can't wait to read the next installment. If you are not familiar with this series then you are missing one hell of an alpha male.

3.5 stars.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for an hones review.

Maddie and Grey have good chemistry but I find it hard to believe that he is really interested in more than her body. She acts very immature. Who runs a business the way she does and what professional man puts up with her fits. Throughout this story she has screamed and broken things and cried. I know Grey said that he wouldn't put up with it from someone else but she acting more like his spoiled child than his lover.

I am hoping that as the story continues she matures and their relationship progresses. She needs to show how smart and self sufficient she is. Not how needy she is.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Maddie and Grey are back and hotter than ever. In book 2, Sloan gives us more of the steamy couple's adventures. Maddie can't believe how fast her new business has grown and can't handle the pressure Grey places upon her when it comes to the business. She has no problem however, handling any other pressure he throws her way. These two are back and they are absolutely hotter than before. The chemistry between these two is hot and explosive on various scales. If you're looking for a new series to dive into, DON'T miss out on Sloan Storm's Never Never Man serial. It's worth every word!!!!

The book continues with Maddy accepting Grey's offer. Maddy thought she will be happy running her business with Grey being a silent partner until she can pay him back. She feels he is making all the rules and running the business. She didn't realize how hard it is. Maddie feels she's missing something. After seeing her ex Trevor being successful she feels in her heart that she stills wants to be an actress. Their romantic chemistry is getting stronger but they are not realizing. Maddy sees it being part of the deal. Loved it. Can't wait for next book.

Grey Sinclair is definitely an alpha male with control issues and Maddie is an independent woman who isn't too sure if she wants to be controlled. Not sure why Maddie fights being controlled by Grey ~ he would be very easy to submit to! This author is very descriptive in her writing which makes it easy to visualize the story and believe me you will want a visual in your head of Grey! I am anxiously awaiting Part 3 of this series because I just have to know what happens next with Grey and Maddie.

Again I found myself not being able to put this one down. Just like the first book in this series. I liked how the book picked up almost right where book 1 left off. Grey is still growing on me but I defiantly found myself more on his team in this book. He is becoming more emotionally attached I feel which is making him more desirable. I can't wait to see what happens next in the third book now that everyone is basically in an agreement of sorts! Again this was a great easy read and I would defiantly recommend!
