OK, so it’s the last sentence of the whole book for me…. The cliffhanger is cliffhanging and I am sitting here completely speechless. With the only thing on my mind being when’s part two coming out?!??
Amir has possibly opened a can of worms by searching for his birth mom. Is he the last living Qatar or does he have younger siblings? Jasmine is a wild card, but she has a good heart. She needs someone to show her real love, and she won't be so easily accessible. Delilah is playing with fire. She knows that Amir is a couple sandwiches short of a picnic, but she isn't thinking clearly. I love how Hov & Crew love on Ciara and Pernelle 😍 they will shift the earth about them girls. Reggie got on my nerves with his weak wack tail. He wants jasmine to.want him back, but he's not worth her time. Now Black Lavish....... Sis......... Who's that baby's daddy??????!!!
As an avid reader, it is disheartening when an author pours so much into an unlikable character such as Jasmine who at age 24 or 28 is a mother of an autistic child still living with her blind mother. No ambition other than finding a man who can stir her juices because she has a “high sex drive” and is “sexually liberated” so her reputation as a “hoe” is unfair because if she were male she would be celebrated for her conquests. It is too difficult to root for a character that you can’t respect. Jasmine is spoiled, excuse oriented, irresponsible, lazy, and although she loves her son there is no sign that he is receiving any special needs services such Early Intervention, speech therapy, physical, language, occupational therapy. RJ has a rich uncle who would not hesitate to pay for whatever RJ needs yet RJ appears to be simply Jasmine's excuse for her not to be doing a thing with her life, no job or college. Bragging that her mother does the cooking and she has never cooked in her mother's kitchen.
So the author wants Amir and his religious principles, reverence for women and children, sexual appetite and competency to be what Jasmine needs to be redeemed. The cliffhanger was ridiculous because Jasmine’s actions were premature which is consistent with her shortsightedness: destroy Reggie and his family, Crew, Hov, Ciara, RJ etc. She is just too messy for further investment.
There are thousands of APPs as well as spellcheck available so the spelling, grammar, and name inconsistencies are ridiculous because it has been noted in far too many reviews. It’s simply not okay for a professional author to change the spelling of a name in the next paragraph. Why select names so similar Dee’s bestie is Dess, to confuse the reader? I am just over the series and the author who continues to disrespect the craft. As a creative I respect the author breathed life into this tale; but as a consumer, I have a right to measure the quality or lack there of my purchases against standards and expectations.
I was so ready for Amir story! Amir is the last Quatar .... or is he? Jasmines part is finally catching up with her! The whole crew will be affected by these lies and secret coming to light
Ohhhh, this book definitely took a turn I was not expecting!!!… There is nothing wrong with a woman that is comfortable with her sexuality and how she decides to enjoy herself!!!…The fact that her sisters thought it was okay to degrade Jazz about it ticked me all the way out!!!… I love Amir’s personality and the fact that Delilah’s mom see him as a cash cow is crazy!!!…Delilah is dealing with the symptoms of her Lupus and think trapping Amir in an unwanted pregnancy is insane!!!…I truly hope it does not happen and he start to pay attention to the way she’s moving!!!… Maleka running her mouth has just put something in motion and she is probably leading them to Crew’s house too!!!… It’s about to get real nasty up in NY!!!… Now we are anticipating the DNA results to find out who fathered Jazz’s baby!!!…
Instead of gimmicky cliffhangers and "who's the daddy" drama just end the series 🙄 Slight editing is needed, beyond that it's an ok read. With all of the possible directions this could go, the storyline should be focused on Jasmine and Amir, not trudging back to the past. Jasmine is low down. The timing was wrong, she's watched Hov cultivate a life with Ciara and never said anything while remaining close to them, side eyeing Ciara, allowed another to be a dad to this boy knowing there's a possibility he may not be his. Just dumb. A secret baby/ who the daddy trope is just low hanging fruit. Then of course Ciara will stay and be the "bigger person" because it was "before her." At least let her beat Jasmine's ass regardless of the outcome because Jasmine is a scallywag.
Okay, where to start with this one. First and foremost, Black Lavish, your pen game is straight fire. Now, let's dive into this installment because it's a full fledge pot of soup, everything and anything is in the mix. I will say I was not a fan of Jasmine in the prior installments, then she started to grow on me. However, I got hit with the left jab and uppercut with the last sentence in this book because ma'am what!? I hope it is not true since Crew and Hov is blood cousins. Gio was Crew's father and Hov's uncle. Anyhow, Jasmine issues are deeply rooted, and she needs some clinical aid in her life. She was getting it from the incident at the baby shower, but she needed it way before then. I also feel like if she really had true big sisters to look up to, she wouldn't have the mentality she has. And her bestie Maleka is going to be a whole problem. Amir and Jasmine are alike in many ways when it comes to family dynamics. His father has many secrets, and they are slowly revealing themselves. He just wants true motherly love and searching for it. My heart goes out to Delilah because she is carrying a boulder on her shoulders. She is harboring her own secrets.
Look, ladies and gentlemen, Black Lavish has done it again. The plot twists and the jaw-dropping scenes are everything. Let just say this game of chess is not for the weak. You have to be strategic to figure out the next move. I am anticipating this next installment. I would love to have it now.
I ain’t even gonna lie at first I was like okayyyy this is moving a little slow but baby once I realized this book was laying the foundation for Amir’s spiral, I locked in. 😭
Amir is one of those characters where you can FEEL the emotional damage through the pages. Raised in violence, surviving loss, trained to kill without blinking of course that man moves through life detached and emotionally unavailable. Love to him feels like a liability not safety.
What makes him intriguing though is the contradiction. He swears he doesn’t care, doesn’t want commitment, doesn’t believe in forever yet every decision he makes says otherwise. He's naturally protective. One pull of a trigger and BOOM everything shifted.
Umm the women around him it's getting messy, emotional and complicated. Everybody attached to Amir seems destined for heartbreak because that man practically comes with a warning label tattooed on his forehead. Easy to fall in love with hard to secure.
This definitely felt like a setup book in the best way possible. So many unanswered questions, so much tension building, secrets simmering under the surface and then THAT cliffhanger 😒 Absolutely disrespectful. Black Lavish knew exactly what she was doing because now I need answers immediately.

This is another 5⭐️ read that has me patiently but not so patiently waiting on part 2. That cliffhanger at the end BABY!!!!!!
Here’s my thoughts while I was reading this one:
Jasmine (Crew’s) sisters. -Why you let Reggie do whatever he wants. Ughh - You can’t hold water to save yourself -You didn’t have to drop that nugget at the end of the book that had my mouth hanging open like that. -Your best friend Maleka… Smh you should’ve vibe check her before spilling the tea. Something was off. -What you and Pernell (P) did at the funeral was hilarious
Amir -Baby boy you just don’t give AF and right now I’m okay with that. -You and Jasmine that’s interesting but take your time. Feel her out. -That’s crazy work about your birth mother this whole
I’ve read all 6 parts and I’m pretty sure this my favorite one!!! Omggg I don’t even know where to start. I will say Amir Quatar is givin nothin but BDE &ZADDY Vibes!!! I can’t even be mad at Delilah even tho she foul for what she did . Jasmine always got somethin goin on lol she can’t win for losin. I think she took the cake with this one though. It’s finna be a good ol messy ride and I can’t wait. I knew Maleka was gon end up doin somethin to PMO and she definitely did it. If she does what I feel like she’s gonna do it’s a wrap for her. I loved every minute of this book and I can’t wait for the next one ! 10/10 highly recommend
I’m loving this 1st series of Amir Quatar. I really enjoyed reading Black Lavish books. Wonderful author. She be putting that writing skills down. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I love reading books daily and I do be getting a little frustrated when I have to wait months for the next installment. I know it takes time to write books but you have to understand some people can read multiple books during that time and we tend to forget about part 2,3,4 or how long the series has to get to the end. Personally I have to go back and reference the book before so I know what’s what because it’s been so long.
Jasmine… JASMINE. Ignoring her gut and she KNOWS better…
And Myleka? Let me tell you something that girl is NOT a friend. Not even close. Being with that man AND running back to tell him everything? That’s not messy, that’s malicious.
And Amir… my poor Amir. He just wants to breathe. He wants answers, he wants peace, he wants to find his birth mother without the universe throwing extra siblings at him.
🗣️Black Lavish don’t take to long with the next book. I had to go back and read my own reviews to refresh my memory of the series!

I hope I am not left hanging several months before the release of next book, that’s my biggest frustration when authors do that to their readers. I forgot some factors from “On me” because there was a significant amount of time between that book and this one. I respect that it takes time for perfection, but if the book is not going to be a standalone please release a series in its entirety.
I am loving the book so far, a little slow at the beginning but it started to pick up the pace.
Maleka just messed up big time. Can’t wait to see what happens with Troy. RJ can’t be Hov’s. It’s too much!!!! Reggie took RJ to protect him and he’s gotten hurt on his watch 🤦🏾♀️ I hope and pray Ciara doesn’t feel any type of way about Jas after this either. Amir just being pulled in all directions. Are the kids from his birth mom after him? Will he stay with Jas? Is Delilah plan going to work?
This series is so lit. It sho is a lot of shooting going on feels like im in Birmingham and Bessemer 😂. Jas is really doing a lot here and her Bestfriend is so weak. I feel like book 3 finna be a lot of blood shed going on and I can’t wait. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
The gang’s all back!!! Book 6 of the On Everything series focusing on Amir Quatar introduced in Crew’s story. It’s full of drama, some mess and surprise revelations that is sure to unleash a world of drama in part 2. And I’m sooo ready! Black Lavish has done a great job with this series and characters.
Too many misspelled words and grammatical errors. I understand writing in AAVE. But words with correct spelling should NEVER be misspelled. .i.e. “stirring wheel” when describing a STEERING wheel. You stir food, but you steer a car. These types of mistakes have occurred across each book. Who is proofreading and editing?!
My my my It keeps getting better & better. Sometime it best to keep secret from best friends since they only loyal to no one. The cliffhanger left me speechless. Ready y book 2….
Black Lavish never disappoints and On You is no different! From the plot, character development, dramatic moments, spicy scenes, and action, this novel has it all. The cliffhanger just about took me out… impatiently awaiting Part II!!
I know Jas slow but give her some slack yall ! It’s Maleka for me ! The switch up is crazy . I’m forever #TeamCrew but Amir my type fr! Rough when he need to be ! Book two let’s goo !
Amir is def that man he think he is okay !! PRESSUREEEE !! One thing my girl Black Lavish is gon’ do is give us a PLOT TWIST ! One thing for certain, I was not expecting that ending. I can’t wait for Pt 2 cause baby the DRAMA is coming.
Of course it was a great read!! Maleka smh! I wanted to like Jas so much but that bomb she dropped and how she dropped it just did it! Im not writing her off because I think she can redeem her self in part 2
Each book just gets better and better. That ending was wild. Please don't let it be his baby. I'm loving Amir. Maleka done pissed me off. This is definitely a must read. I can't wait to read part 2. Black Lavish you have done it again.
