I’ve always wanted to know the true story of William Tell, after being filled with many variations of Robin Hood I wasn’t sure what to expect. I absolutely loved this book, the writing style was poetic and the characters very interesting, I’m still harboring a hatred for Gesler! It’s easy to tell why this book is so defining for the Swiss, William Tell is a living embodiment of the Swiss spirit.
