The week before Christmas.
They lock eyes across the bar, and recognition freezes them in their tracks.

She’s his online fantasy.
He’s her most devoted subscriber.

On this snowy Chicago night, the spark between them turns parasocial obsession into a dangerous connection. It should be nothing more than a holiday fling. Instead, it becomes something neither of them can walk away from. Because once Jan Frost decides something is his, he doesn’t let it go.

A filthy yet surprisingly sentimental age gap romance, Jan Frost unwraps what happens when a wealthy reformed criminal—cold and untouchable as winter itself—meets the one woman hot enough to melt him.

Thank you Serena for allowing me to arc read Jan Frost which comes out on 10/22. This was a 5 star read for me.
This book is about an age gap relationship. The mmc Jan is a silver daddy aged 64, in shape, built, tatted, and rich. And he sure knows how to treat a lady.
The fmc Maxine (Max) is 30. She has a a large online following and makes really good money. Well her top subscriber is Jan and she knows it but has never met him. Coincidentally they meet at a bar and the banter between them from the start is fire!!! They end up spending an unforgettable weekend together and the spice is chefs kiss. They end up catching feelings pretty fast and have to learn how to navigate an age gap relationship. Because not everyone is going to be happy for them.
If you wanna see how their relationship turns out please read this book on 10/22. When I say I devoured it!! I read the first 60% in one sitting!! Also although the books can be read separately Krampus Kruk is book 1, and book 3 will be out next year. Krampus Kruk was equally delicious and is a novella that's already out.

Jan Frost was steamy, intense, and had me all up in my feelings. I came for the age gap and the spice, but the connection between Max and Jan made this story even more delicious.

Max knows exactly who she is, and she isn’t afraid to show it. But watching her let her guard down for Jan? That’s what got me. It comes so naturally that even when she tries to resist, she can’t help letting him in.

And Jan… he is exactly the daddy we all want but can only read about. To be completely consumed by that man would be heaven. The heat was everything, but the vulnerability made it hit even harder.

Thank you for the ARC—it was a pleasure to read and share my honest thoughts.

Serena Pier, you have my attention…again!! 🫡🥵

I went into this one expecting one thing and ended up loving the way this story pulled me in and devoured me. The chemistry between Jan and Max was impossible to ignore, and I loved that there was more to their relationship than just the spice. There’s something about the way these two come together that makes you want to keep reading and see where things go.

Between the tension, the heat, and the moments that caught me off guard, this was such a fun read. If a very spicy age-gap romance is your thing and you also like being in your feelings, definitely put Jan Frost on your TBR!

Thank you to Serena Pier for this ARC!! 🖤☃️

BETA READ:
I can honestly say.. you are 1000% NOT ready for Jan
🥵🥵🥵

Easily a 6 star read and may be my best book of 2026- and it’s only April.

This will be the model by which all other taboo romances are judged.

Mmmmmm Daddy!!!

Who knew this age gap read would bring you to your knees? Yep I think it just might. This story was a fun, sexy and hot as fxxx read that was dark, dirty, perfection. This is the second installment to the Dark Christmas Daddies Series and it is phenomenal. The first book centered around Piotr Kruk, which was Declan's dad from the SAGA Series and it was a quick and dirty read. This book centers around Piotr's best friend Jan and it was good and dirty. These retired mafia men are hot as hell and really know how to ruin a girl.

Just know that once you start this book you will not want to put it down. The chemistry between Jan and Max is off the charts. They are instantly drawn to one another from their first interaction. I loved their meet up and how fun it was. I like that Jan is a Dom, yet Max challenges him at every turn. It is a fun dynamic and truly brought joy to the book.

If you like a possessive alpha male age gap read, then this book is perfect for you. Just be warned there is loads of dark scenes from the BDSM type of world and the age gap is like 30+ years so if this is not your thing then you need to just move along. I can't wait to see which daddy falls next. "wink wink"

FIVE STARS, HANDS DOWN! The best book I have read from this author to date!
Jan Frost is the perfect man! (I don’t care about his age - it’s just a number) He is a man who has truly lived, loved, and lost. Who understands the value of life, from the smallest moments to the grandest ones. I loved him from the moment he first thought about his sons. He’s a man of his word and damn it do I LOVE that.
Max is in a category of her own! She is a woman who is doing her own thing and crushing her own goals.
As the book progresses I love that the longer they’re together the more she slowly drops the act of needing to perform as Miss Max. And he gets her to reveal who she really is, and in return she brings Jan out of his shell.
Their chemistry is smoldering, it’s hot and dang near melting off the page.
I love when the MC’s have relatable personalities and the banter between the two of them is just top notch! She’s the perfect amount of brat, he’s the perfect amount of Dom and the way he respects her boundaries makes me love him even more.
Jan and Max have completely stolen my heart! This book is EVERYTHING I expected and hoped for yet it is SO MUCH MORE!!!
Thank you Serena for the chance to have an advanced copy of Jan Frost.

✨ ARC review ✨

I can’t remember the last time I picked up a book and read it IMMEDIATELY!!

This book devoured me, literally.

We have an age gap here: 64 vs. 30.

Jan Frost (64) is a former Polish “mafioso” who has two children and grandchildren.

Max (30), who is only a few years away from my own age 😂😂😂, is basically the most amazing online stripper.

And now, just imagine this: Max is going to have the sex of her DREAMS with grandpa 😂😂😂 Okay, daddy, sorry 😂😂😂. He’s going to spoil her like a queen, and Jan might end up ruining his relationship with one of his sons because of Max.

Daddy Jan is 10,000 times sexier, more mature, more understanding, and actually has MANNERS, unlike all those other 30-year-old men.

In the end, we get a happy ending, and honestly, the age gap becomes completely irrelevant.

I LOVE THIS BOOK.

Christmas is SAVED this year, even if it started a little early.

Sex scenes: 10 out of 10
Fucking like there’s no tomorrow: 10 out of 10
Instant love: 10 out of 10
The first normal family Christmas: 10 out of 10. Something Max has, sadly, never had, just like so many others.

A Christmas book, a New Year’s book, call it whatever you want — 10 out of 10.

Serena, BRAVO!!!!!!!!

I absolutely DEVOURED this one! 🥵🔥

Max is a spicy content creator, and Jan is her most devoted subscriber. When these two accidentally meet in person at a bar things get very interesting. And a 64-year-old silver fox being her sub? I loved this setup!

The chemistry between them was 🔥, and I had so much fun watching their connection turn into something neither of them expected. Jan is possessive, dominant, and unapologetically sure of what he wants, while Max brings her own spark to their relationship. Between the age gap, the spice, and Jan’s morally gray side, I was hooked. But those unexpectedly sweet, sentimental moments were what made this story even better. 🖤

A spicy Christmas romance with a silver fox and NO third-act breakup? YES, PLEASE! 🎄 This was such a fun, spicy read with just the right amount of heart. Jan, I see you!

Came for the steamy, age gap, ex-mafia Christmas story…

Stayed for the possessive, reserved, down bad Christmas daddy.

This story was not only a fun spicy holiday read, but was also filled with emotions that I wasn’t expecting. Anxiety, intensely deep feelings, and uncertainty in knowing one’s worth.

Jan and Maxine kept me on my toes. I found myself grinning after one of their deep loving conversations. This was a couple I was truly rooting for from the beginning. They just got each other.

If you love a mafia romance, this was the perfect vibe for a holiday read. You could sense the mafia connections, but that wasn’t what the story was about. It was a perfect amount of mafia for a Christmas story!!

FIVE STARS.
YOUR HONOR, I AM IN LOVE WITH A MUCH OLDER MAN AND I WILL NOT BE TAKING QUESTIONS AT THIS TIME

Serena Pier, WHAT did you put in this book??? Because I went in expecting a fun, spicy holiday romance and came out emotionally attached to a retired mob enforcer, ready to defend this man with my LIFE. 😭

Jan Frost, my beloved, my winter king, my walking red flag with the emotional intelligence of a green forest. SIR!
The way this man loves? The way he LISTENS? The way he looks at a woman and sees an entire person with dreams, ambitions, insecurities, and a life of her own instead of treating her like an accessory to his?
I am UNWELL. Give me a moment. I need to lie down.

And MAXINE SULLIVAN. MY GIRL. My talented, hilarious, unapologetically herself theatre girl. I loved her so much. There's something incredibly special about a heroine who knows what she wants, refuses to be ashamed of herself, and still allows herself to be vulnerable with someone who makes her feel safe enough to do so. Watching her be seen for who she truly is, rather than what people assume about her, genuinely got to me.

The chemistry??? THE BANTER??? The sheer audacity of these two??? I was giggling, kicking my feet, grinning at my screen like I was the one receiving the affection. The humour is SO GOOD, and the ridiculous little moments had me smiling like an idiot. This book understands that romance isn't just about grand declarations and expensive gifts (although, Jan, if you're reading this, my DMs are open). It's about remembering the little things, paying attention, showing up, and making someone feel like they're the most important person in the room.

And underneath all the spice and chaos, there's this surprisingly tender heart to the story. It's about loneliness, second chances, the courage it takes to let someone into your life, and the terrifying possibility that happiness might actually be worth the risk. I especially loved the way the book explores the difference between being desired and being genuinely seen. Max doesn't need someone to rescue her. She needs someone who believes in her, respects her choices, and supports the life she's trying to build. And watching Jan do exactly that? MY HEART.

Also, can we talk about how my girl Serena Pier writes chemistry? Because HELLO????
The tension, the dialogue, the little moments of softness between the chaos. I was having the time of my life. The spice is SPICY (please hydrate, everyone), but what made me love this couple was how much personality, humour, and tenderness existed alongside it. These two could make me kick my feet over a conversation about absolutely nothing.

Is the romance fast? Absolutely.
Do I occasionally need to remind myself that this man has grandchildren older than some romance heroes? Yes.
Do I care? NOT EVEN A LITTLE.
I have suspended my disbelief, checked my calendar, and moved into the Frost residence. Thank you for asking.

What I particularly adore is that this book never made me feel like Max had to become smaller to be loved. She gets to be ambitious, mouthy, funny, sexual, vulnerable, and a little ridiculous. Jan gets to be powerful without being emotionally unavailable, protective without dismissing her autonomy, and deeply in love without making her earn every scrap of affection. They're two people who have lived very different lives, and somehow they fit in a way that made me ridiculously happy.

And MISS SERENA PIER. You have officially earned yourself a spot on my list of authors whose books I will pick up without needing to know a single thing about the plot first. I love when an author makes me laugh, makes me feel things, gives me characters I want to keep thinking about after I put the book down, and reminds me why I fell in love with romance in the first place. This was such a fun, warm, indulgent reading experience, and I had an absolute BLAST.

If you love instalove, age-gap romance, a possessive but attentive older man, a heroine with a personality and dreams of her own, hilarious banter, deliciously spicy scenes, found-family warmth, and a romance that makes you want to throw your phone across the room because WHY AREN'T MEN LIKE THIS (respectfully, I know the answer), PLEASE READ THIS BOOK.

Jan Frost, you are a menace to my standards.
Serena Pier, you are a menace to my TBR.
And I fear neither of you will be facing consequences for your actions.

Five stars. No notes! Thank you for listening to my rant

🎁 First, I would like to thank Serena Pier’s team again for sending me the ARC. I was so excited to receive it and I hope to get the opportunity to apply for more! Now into the story! I was instantly hooked into this book, simply because he was so obsessed with her since the beginning and I loved the aspect of her knowing it was him. As much as I don’t go out of my way to read insta-lust or insta-love, I really enjoyed it. It was a dark holiday romance with a sexy tatted grandpa 🤤 and a gorgeous as hell woman. I don’t know if I wanted to be her or him more. Another thing that I loved was the no third act break-up, I feel like these are so overdone and in some cases so unnecessary. This book I think adequately covered both of their mental blocks on being in this relationship, whether it was dating someone much older or younger, or the idea of living without that person for so long after they died. I loved that they were able to properly communicate their fears. The only reason why this wasn’t 5 stars is because of the fact that it was insta-lust but if thats your jam, I cannot recommend this book enough. I loved that we saw Piotr and Morgan in the book because they are my faves.

🎁 Something that really stuck out to me was the well thought through BDSM aspects, I loved that boundaries were respected and created. I absolutely loved loved loved his quote on being a dom, “everyone has different definitions, different meanings,”. This was such an excellent response to if he has been a dom in any relationships. I love that he never did anything she explicitly said she didn’t like. I also really loved his quote on brat taming, “I love that you’re a brat. I’m not here to tame you. I’m here to keep you,” 🤭 YES YES YES, that’s poetry right there. I loved the FMC, she was confident and knew what she wanted. I liked that she, for the most part, took her time to evaluate if she wanted to be in a relationship with the MMC. Even if this was very fast paced, I loved their relationship and you could tell that he really did see her.

🎁This is the perfect book to start off the holiday season!!! Have so much fun reading this as I did!!! I ate this up in three sittings. While it’s not necessary really to read the first one, I can’t recommend it enough! I would also recommend looking into other works by Serena Pier!!! Happy holidays!!

ARC Review
Jan Frost by Serena Pier
5⭐️

Hot. Hot. Hot. Hooooooot. Serena really knows how to write bratty x daddy characters who are independent and badasses. Maxine loves to push Jan’s buttons to get “punished” and Jan loves to show he’s in control. When Jan is in love, he loves HARD. He is attentive, focused, insightful, respectful and selfless, and that’s just in the bedroom! He is pure want and filth in bed and it’s hot. I genuinely can’t wait to listen to this on audio when it’s available!

I loved how everything was on Maxine’s terms. Her life, her profession, her $ex life, her future, all of it! And I love that even though Jan could get her whatever she wanted, she still wants to buy and do things herself.

It’s not fair to compare books 1&2 in the series, but this book had even more depth and character growth than the last, and I loved Krampus Kruk! I loved that this book was a little longer so we got to dive deeper into the characters and see their vulnerable sides.

If you’re looking for a holiday season smutty but sentimental age gap romance, this is the one for you!

Thank you to Serena Pier for the gifted eARC for an honest review!

I loved Jan and Max! This book was the perfect cozy yet super spicy holiday romance. I had the biggest smile on my face throughout the entire book, the characters were funny and super lovable! This was the largest age-gap I’ve ever read but it was done beautifully. There was zero angst about any power imbalance and it didn’t feel icky. Their story was just so heartwarming. The writing and pacing was fantastic as well!

A dark steamy Christmas read that I could not read fast enough. This series and this author definitely do not disappoint. This time we have Jan…an older daddy with a checkered past and a thing for an online girl. Max is independent, sassy and definitely does not apologize for being herself. Her online presence gives her the freedom and confidence to be who she wants to be. When these two meet they know what they want and what they need….but will Max give Jan what he really….EVERYTHING?!? This well written story was beautiful in so many ways. Max was strong and independent but let Jan take care of her in so many ways. Jan had his sons and grandchildren but found happiness again In young Max. This age gap, holiday read definitely hit all the right places…in every way possible. I truly enjoyed this extremely spicy story and can’t wait to see what this author bring us next…because I have truly loved everything she has thrown our way!!!

Oh, How I love Serena Pier and her writing. This book is delicious! I truly enjoyed my time reading. Made my Sunday! Serena knows how to write a sexy older man, Jan Frost is 64 and a billionaire that spends a ton of money on a cam girl, Maxine who is 30. These two are so delicious together. The development of the relationship between Maxine & Jan felt natural. Despite their significant age gap, they fit perfectly together. I was rooting for them to get together and find their HEA from the very beginning.

Overall, this book is fabulously written and developed. Perfect for any romance reader.

Thank you Serena Pier for this eARC.

This is one of those instances of, while I absolutely adored the first book, this one blew up my expectations and left me excited for whats to come! I remember reading Krampus Kruk and finding myself absolutely needing to see more of Jan when he was briefly mentioned and here we are! I love how Serena handles the hard pressing issues and makes them make sense in the context. A slow burn to whirlwind romance that has me feeling all the emotions and my heart feels so full. Jan and Maxine are my absolute favorites and I loved how they navigated each other's lives the way they did. Not only was the spice and pacing fantastic, the slow and sweet moments were just as good! Definitely curious to see if they'll make a special appearance when the next book drops! This is an absolute banger of a holiday romance, especially if you're looking for something a bit naughty for your tbr!

Jan Frost by Serena Pier — 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Age-gap romances can be tricky to pull off, but Serena absolutely nailed it with Jan Frost! This was such a fast read, and nothing about the romance felt cringey or forced. Everything felt natural, and the spice was spicing! I flew through this one!

It’s also not your typical Christmas romance, which made it even more fun. And Max cyberstalking Jan? Absolutely hilarious!

My only reason for giving this four stars instead of five is that I WANTED MORE! I’m already so excited for Neva Perchta coming next year, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get the chance to ARC read it, too. I’m so thankful to be part of Serena’s ARC team!

❄️The perfect Holiday Age Gap Love Story

I absolutely LOVED this story!
I love Jan....dare I say more then Krampus 🫣

The big age gap was very cringe at first when he has son's her age but once Max's personality started to shine, you could really see how perfectly matched they were for eachother.
The weekend at the Kingsley was the best! I love that Jan got to experience his fantasy woman in human form and all he wanted was to get to know Maxine not the Miss Max verison he was already obsessed with.

And who doesnt love a good daddy/brat situation.
The way he would count her bad behavior then ask her for which things she wasn't okay with so she still felt comfortable was such a nice touch!

My favorite part was the hula-hoop part ❤️ I busted out laughing. So unexpected but loved it!

A masterpiece!!!
This book had me kicking my feet, swooning, laughing and even getting a little teary eyed. I devoured this book! I read over half of it in one sitting. The chemistry and banter 😍 the push and pull. Very addictive❤️

Troupes: age gap, role play, Brat x Daddy, Christmas, dark romance

I loved Maxine(Max), a 30 year old spicy-ish content creator. She knows what she wants and doesn’t take any BS. She out celebrating and that’s when she notices Jan her biggest sub…

Jan a 64 year old tall, muscular, salt and pepper hair, tatted fine specimen of a man. He’s a retired mafia man.

She’s not looking for love and what was supposed to be a one night stand with an old man turns out to be a lot more….

Serena’s writing is fantastic she will get you hooked and you won’t want to put the book down.

***ARC READER REVIEW****

This book looked me directly in the eyes and said, "Trust me," and for once I did.

An unconventional couple, a massive age gap, family complications, holiday drama, and two characters who somehow fit together perfectly. I was hooked immediately.

What I loved most was that the relationship never felt like a gimmick. Beneath all the chaos was a genuinely touching story about finding love, acceptance, and happiness when you least expect it.

The hero had confidence, patience, and emotional maturity that made him impossible not to love. By the end, I wasn't thinking about the age gap at all. I was just rooting for them to get their happy ending.

Absolutely devoured this book. No notes. Just vibes.

Hot,hot! This Christmas romance is not your typical Christmas romance. Jan & Max just make sense. Don't let the age gap fool you, their chemistry is off the charts in regular conversation and in the bedroom. I loved the push & pull/ cat & mouse game they had going on.

There are so many small moments that I adore, including how Max cyberstalked Jan for the sole reason he was her number one sub and she wanted to know who he was. I immediately sent a voice memo to my best friend cackling about that, bc duh. Too relatable.

Tropes: age gap (30/64), spoiled heroine, possessive MMC, billionaire romance/mafia ties, mild sub/dom.

Is it too soon it re-read this? I have been lucky enough to BETA read this amazing book and love it more and more each time I’ve had the opportunity to read Jan Frost. The Banter? TOP TEIR! These two use it as foreplay and I’m here for it. The Spice? Can’t beat it! The unwavering support they both had for each other? Unmatched! Is this an EXTREME Age Gap? ABSOLUTELY but it’s done so, so good! He is 64, She is 30. Do we address performance struggles that come with age? Sure do and without judgment. Seriously not only will this be hard to beat as my #1 Christmas read of the year, but overall read as well. Perfection! Buckle up for this whirlwind romance that is surprisingly sentimental!

Another great read by Serena Pier! This is the perfect book to read during the winter as it left me feeling all sorts of ways! I enjoyed watching Jan thaw out and defrost from his grumpy side! Maxine, on the other hand went from a very confident woman on social media to a little shy, but bratty, woman when she around Jan. I loved that she appreciated everything about him as well as all he had to offer and he appreciated how well she fit into his life. One of my favorite things about Serena's books is the easter eggs she leaves of past characters and introductions to future main characters. I will always read anything Serena writes and I am already anticipating her next release!

If you’re into sugar daddies, this one will be for you.

Jan, a polish 64 year old, father, grandfather, retiree who follows Miss Max on her platform and bestows gifts from her wish list. Maxine is a fun loving burlesque girl, who gains attention not only from her subscribers but people notice her. What we learn is she knows who Jan is as much as he does her.

Serena leads us into their story, set around Christmas time, so we get a little of their background before we get the romance and Christmas cheer (yes, in the form of smut 😉) It was an enjoyable read that does have a small storyline and plenty of eye rolling 🤭
