Against All Odds

Rate this book
Lindsey Sinclair trusts the numbers.

At twenty-four, she becomes the youngest recruit assigned to the CIA’s elite Tier-One Alpha team, where precision is survival and hesitation can get people killed.

Rhys Carter trusts instinct.

A legendary field agent with a flawless mission record, he is reckless, unpredictable, and completely impossible for Lindsey to calculate.

Unfortunately, he is also her new partner.

When a mission in Moscow exposes a stolen biological weapon, Lindsey and Rhys are pulled into a deadly race against an enemy who knows exactly how to stay hidden. The weapon is moving. The trail is disappearing. And the only lead points to a ghost from Rhys’s past.

A man who should be dead.

To stop the threat before it vanishes for good, Lindsey will have to trust the one variable she cannot control.

Some odds aren’t meant to be beaten. They’re meant to be survived.

Against All Odds is a clean romantic suspense novel with covert missions, sharp banter, forced proximity, high-stakes danger, and a slow-burn partnership where trust may be the riskiest move of all.

This book was excellent! I was hooked from the first chapter. I loved the plot with them both being in special ops and that part was so well done and intriguing the whole book. The back and forth between the two main characters was great! I enjoyed how the author was able to communicate feelings without them internally thinking it all the time. A look that lingered for a second too long, a brush of the hand… so well done. The slow burn at the end was a cherry on top. Hoping this is a series because i would read them all! ❤️❤️❤️

I really enjoyed this book. Lindsey is a very young recruit into a high-profile Special Opps team working with Rhys. They are racing to stop a chemical warfare attempt while not knowing who the enemy is really. Everywhere they turn, someone is one step ahead of them. They keep working against the clock and the feelings that are rising between them. Things get rough, they are sabotaged from a place that knows too much, but they keep at it. This is a well-developed story with great characters that keep the pace moving well. I received an advanced reader copy of this book via BookFunnel, and this is my honest review.

This book was so so good! It reminded me of watching a criminal minds show. I was picturing the book as a movie as I read it. You have Lindsey who is a top recruit for a special unit in the CIA and her partner is Rhys who is unpredictable and reckless. They go to a mission in Moscow and uncover a lot! My heart was racing bec of the situation they were in. And a twist that I didn’t see coming! The banter between the two of them was so good! And the tension between them was so sweet and just made me smile. I loved the ending!
If you love a good romantic suspense that makes you feel all the emotions and the action is so intense, then I def recommend you read this!!
